Throughout the entire meal, Lexie kept one eye on the mysterious woman just to make sure she wasn't going to try anything. Not like Lexie had anything to worry about, she was sat at a table with six Star Fleet officers, three of which could easily fight back. This whole thing felt like a bad case of 'deja-vu' to Lexie, it was as if the whole 'Delta' saga which occurred back on Lilo was happening all over again, but this time instead of Delta being the prey, it seemed like Lexie was the target. "Lexie, you coming?" A voice called, it was then when Lexie discovered that everyone had gotten up from the table and were heading towards the exit. "Oh yeah, I'm coming Scotty." Lexie scrambled from her seat, only to discover that the woman was gone. Apparently she had managed to slip away at some point during the evening, "I hope she doesn't come back." Lexie was really hoping she could just enjoy the rest of her shore leave in peace.

She hurried over to the others and noticed the look of concern in Scotty's eyes, "What's wrong, Scotty?" Lexie asked. "Nothing lass, just tired that's all." Lexie wasn't so sure that was the truth, but she wasn't going to force him to tell her. So instead she smiled softly at him, as the group headed up to their rooms for the night. Delta was sitting on Keenser's head, apparently he was too tired to fly to their room. Despite the amount of drinks the guys had consumed, they weren't acting tipsy or even drunk which was a relief for Lexie. The last time they got drunk she became their baby sitter until they got back to their hotel, where she just handed them off to McCoy. However Lexie was feeling the effects of the few drinks she had drank, thanks to being a member of Star Fleet no one really questions how old she is. It's like what Kirk said a while ago, 'If you're old enough to serve on a Star Ship, then you're old enough to drink' and he still stands by that. "Well, I guess we'll see you guys in the morning." Kirk said as himself, Scotty, and McCoy stopped outside their room, "Yeah, see you guys tomorrow." Chekov replied.

Kirk and McCoy slipped into their room while Chekov, Delta, and Keenser did the same. Which only left Scotty and Lexie in the hall way, "Well I'll be off to bed." Lexie said as she went to turn towards the door, "Something's on your mind lass, I can tell no matter how well you think you're hiding it." Scotty said suddenly. Lexie just paused, of course Scotty would have noticed, he always does. "It's just what the woman was talking to you and Kirk about, did she really want to buy me?" Lexie then felt herself getting gently turned around, then her head getting lifted up so she wasn't staring at the floor. "No one is going to buy you Lexie, ever. As long as I'm around, no one is going to do anything to you, ever again." Scotty smile was as warming as always, so Lexie couldn't help but smile herself. Then she hugged him tightly, which caught the Scotsman slightly off guard. "Thanks Scotty, nothing will ever keep us apart." Lexie didn't really care if she had just said something which was kinda cheesy, it was the truth in her eyes. "I'll always be here for you Lexie, no matter what happens I will always love you." Now Scotty was the one saying something cheesy, but yet again it was the truth. "Sleep well Lexie." "You too dad." Every time Lexie called him that, Scotty felt his heart buzz, no matter how many times he heard that word, that feeling would never go away. After what seemed to be several minutes, Scotty let go of his 'daughter' but before allowing her to head off into her room, he gave her a soft kiss on the head which made Lexie's cheeks blush.

But finally Lexie and Scotty did head into their hotel rooms for the night, "Everything OK Lex?" Asked a soft voice, turned out to be Chekov who had spoken to her. "Yeah Pavel, Scotty just wanted to talk to me about something." "Oh dear, was it normal Scotty talking, or tipsy Scotty?" Asked Delta with a cheeky smile, which Lexie couldn't help but chuckle at. "He's not had that many drinks bud, so it was just normal, happy Scotty." As she spoke, Lexie made her way into one of the bedrooms to pick up her PJs. "So, what do you wanna do tomorrow?" Chekov called from the other room, "Well, I've read that Zinballa has a wonderful coral reef just off its coast. Wanna come and explore it with me?" Lexie answered as she wandered back into the other room, now in her PJs. "That sounds like fun." "Can I come too?!" Delta cried excitedly, "Of course you can Delta, how about you Keenser?" Lexie turned to see Keenser sitting on the bed, his little legs dangling over the edge. "No thanks." "But why not?" Delta asked, "Can't swim." Well that was a good enough reason. "Well then, we best get some sleep. Night lads." "Night Lexie." She gave Chekov and Keenser a hug, while she gave Delta a boop on the nose before heading off to bed for a peaceful sleep. Well, that was the plan anyway.

Lexie was sleeping peacefully, but at least Lexie knew she wouldn't get haunted by her old nightmares. Ever since her little adventure back on Earth, Lexie hadn't had a single nightmare. About her family or even about Kyle, in fact she hadn't had any form of bad dream. She put it down to finally letting everything to do with her past go, burning down Kyle's house (if it even counted as that) was most likely the main factor. However, everything was about to change. Lexie's tranquil slumber was about to be shattered, completely. She was currently having the most beautiful dream, one she had been having regularly since leaving Earth. There Lexie was, dancing with none other than Scotty. Sure the concept of the dream was a little strange and cheesy, but she couldn't really care, it brought her joy and allowed her to get a peaceful sleep. But it didn't take long for Lexie to noticed that something wasn't right, in a shadowy corner of the ball room stood an unfamiliar woman. Her jet black and crimson red dress just screamed danger in Lexie's mind, but if the colours weren't enough of a danger sign then what Lexie caught a glimpse of next was. She swore that from behind the woman, a tail was slowly waving about, the first word that came to mind was 'Shikari' which was a being she and the others had met while on their mission to save Cecilia. But Shikari's only lived on Cecilia, even if it was one Lexie believed that the tail didn't look right, it was almost…

Lexie didn't get to finish her mental thought as she bolted awake, clearly her mind didn't want her to know the answers to the questions which were gathering in her mind. "What the hell was that?" Lexie muttered quietly as to not wake the guys up, there was no way she would be able to explain this to them. She then looked over to check the time, in bright red lights the clock on the bedside table read: 02:37. Slowly raising a hand to wipe away the sweat which had gathered on her forehead, Lexie sighed quietly to herself. "What am I trying to warn myself of? Is it that woman? But, the person in my dream didn't look anything like her." Lexie was only adding more questions to the already long list, and with no answers in sight, it seemed they would stay unanswered for a while to come. Just then she heard a bang from the other room, the one where her friends were sleeping, well she assumed they were sleeping. Lexie slowly threw the covers to the side and swung her legs over the bed, when her feet touched the marble floor a chill ran up her legs. But before standing up, Lexie reached over to the bedside table, silently opened the top draw and pulled out a small knife. It was the one which was normally hidden in her boot, but since she rarely wore them on shore leave she took the weapon out. Feeling slightly more confident now she was armed, Lexie stood up and made her way towards the door which separated the two room.

As Lexie inched closer to the door, she felt her hands begin to shake slightly. She couldn't believe how on edge she was feeling, it was so strange and scary. "It's probably just Pavel, he's most likely still up, working on a complex equation." That was what Lexie was telling herself, to hopefully calm her ever growing nerves. Soon she came to the door, opening it cautiously since she didn't really know what was waiting for her on the other side. But nothing would have prepared her for what she saw, laying on the floor was Keenser while Delta was laying across from the alien. Electricity seemed to be dancing across his body, had he been shocked or something? But there was some one missing, where was Chekov? "Pavel?" Lexie called quietly, she didn't want to wake the guys in the room next door, not yet anyway. Lexie then heard a noise which almost caused her to jump out of her skin, it sounded like a whimper, a painful whimper. She span round to see a pair of seemingly glowing aqua blue eyes staring at her from the darkness, Lexie instantly pointed her blade towards them.

"Who the hell are you and what have you done to my friends?" Suddenly the lights flashed on, temporally blinding Lexie, but when her eyes did finally adjust to the new found light, she could finally see who had been staring at her. "I was wondering what it would take to get you out of bed, you might want to put the knife down by the way. Otherwise mine might slip and stab your friend here in the neck." Lexie was confused, that was until she saw who was kneeling in front of the intruder. It was Chekov who had a knife pointed at his throat, "What do you want? Don't you know it's considered an act of war to harm any members of Star Fleet, no matter their rank." "Oh I know all about the pathetic little rules and acts of Star Fleet, but sadly I don't give a dam about them. As for what I want, that simple. I want you." Lexie froze, this was just like Lilo all over again. "But why? What have I done to warrant you wanting to kidnap me?" "Kidnap is a strong word kid, no I ain't going to do that. You're simply going to come along with me." Lexie was even more confused than she was before, "Don't go with her Lex, there's no telling what she'll do to you!" Chekov cried, clearly he was trying to protect Lexie despite his current predicament. The intruder pushed the knife closer to the Navigators neck, "Say one more word and it will be the last thing you ever do." "Leave him alone! I'll go with you, just please don't hurt him or any of my friends."

Chekov's face turned white, he couldn't believe what he had just heard. Was Lexie serious? "Lexie, don't…" He muttered sadly, "I can't let her hurt you Pavel or anyone else, it would kill me knowing you got hurt because of me." Lexie replied with a tiny smile. She then turned her attention back on the intruder, this time she took notice of who it was. It was a woman with short silver hair which was hidden under a hood, with what appeared to be glowing red cat ears on the top. On her right cheek was a tattoo of two black arrows and in both of her hands sat blades of red, one of which was next to Chekov's throat. But that wasn't the most noticeable thing, the woman seemed to have some sort of black tail with a red tip but it looked like a plug, so clearly not a real tail but an artificial one. Not only that, but she seemed familiar, like Lexie had seen her before. It soon clicked in Lexie's mind, this woman looked very much like the one in her dreams. Even if she had short hair instead of long. How that was possible was unclear, but she didn't really have time to think about that right now. "You're one of the smartest Star Fleet officers I know, either that or you're just plain stupid." Lexie glared at her, a flame of pure anger burning in her eyes.

"Can I at least know your name?" "My name is Matrix, well that's what you can call me anyway." Matrix sounded so smug, she clearly knew she had the upper hand. "Give me your word Matrix that if I go with you, none of my friends will get hurt." That's all Lexie wanted to know, she wanted reassurance that if she basically obeyed that the people she called family wouldn't get hurt. "But of course, I have no interest in any of them." Chekov just had to kneel there while he watched Lexie throw her blade to the floor, "Good choice kid, I would hate to take you by force." Suddenly, Matrix's futuristic tail flicked over and hit Chekov in the head. Lexie watched as he was seemingly electrocuted right before her eyes, "You liar! You gave me your word that you wouldn't hurt anyone!" "Do you really believe everything you hear kid? Clearly Star Fleet are still recruiting fools, let's go!" Matrix sounded even more smug as she kicked Chekov to the floor, before pointing her blades at Lexie. "Walk or I'll make you." Lexie just obeyed as she was led out of the room by Matrix, while Chekov watched on helplessly. His body was still paralysed by the shock Matrix's nightmarish tail had given him, so he couldn't move even if he wanted to. "Please let the Captain and the others be awake… Please…"
