Lexie was just glaring at the woman, "At least tell me your dam name, since you know mine." "My, my. No need to be so rude, but it would be just as rude of me not to tell you. My name is Doctor Zosia." Somehow her voice was already giving Lexie a headache. "How do you know my name anyway, I've never met you before yesterday." Zosia smiled as she walked closer to Lexie's glass prison, "The answer to that is simple, I hacked into the Star Fleet Data Base. Pity actually, you would think after doing it several times that they would improve their security. It was far too easy." Zosia placed a hand on the glass, which even though it didn't connect with Lexie's body, she still felt herself shiver. "I read your file, you've been through quite a lot for someone so young, haven't you. But, do you want to know what the most interesting thing I found out about you was?" Lexie wasn't sure if she really did, but she could feel her head nodding in response. "That you are related to Kyle Malone, that pitiful excuse of a human being." "Believe me, we agree on that." Lexie muttered loudly, "How did you know him? Was he one of your little tools, like Salix and Matrix?" "Oh how I wish, but no. Kyle was nothing like that to me, the only thing he was to me was a murderer."

Lexie felt her heart beating faster and faster, which Zosia seemed to take note of. "You're afraid of him, aren't you? I can tell just by looking at your vitals." Lexie turned her head away, even if she had let go of her past, the mention of her uncles name still made her feel slightly uneasy. "I was, a long time ago. But I'm not anymore." But Zosia didn't seem convinced, "And what reason made you stopped being afraid, child?" Lexie wasn't sure if to tell her captor the truth, or just lie. But the truth was probably for the best, "Because he's dead and this time, he isn't coming back." Lexie's answer seemed to shock Zosia, for a split second a look of confusion flashed up on her face, but that was quickly replaced with a smug smile. "Oh is he now, what did he die of? Old age? Illness?" Lexie didn't like how pleased Zosia was upon hearing that Kyle was dead, however Lexie was more than happy to tell her that. "Neither, I killed him and he deserved it! After all the people he'd killed, it only seemed fitting." Lexie never believed that she would ever admit to killing her uncle, but she knew he did deserve it. "So, you know of the people he's killed?" Zosia's question seemed a little off, where was she going with this? "Of course I do." Lexie answered slowly, she didn't like that question.

"Who do you know that he has kill then? I bet there were very important to you, Kyle always chose them." "He murdered my family while they slept! I was only six! They were my entire life, but he took them from me!" Lexie took a deep breath before finishing her answer, "Not to mention his Superior Officer, back when he was in Star Fleet. Hoping to get a promotion." Zosia seemed to grow a smile, which scared Lexie a lot. "Do you know who that Superior Officer was?" Zosia had begun to pace, which put Lexie on edge. "No, I wasn't even born. Do you?" "As a matter of fact I do, that Officer was my brother." Lexie's face went white, "Please don't tell me you sent Matrix to kidnap me, just to get revenge for something my pathetic uncle did, before I was even born?!" Lexie would be a bit more than pissed off if that turned out to be the reason. "Not at all, knowing his dead is the best revenge I could have. No, there's a different reason for you're so call kidnapping." Zosia smiled as she spoke, it was clear that she was enjoying this all too much. Lexie just glared at her, "What do you mean 'so called'? You're little puppet, broke into my hotel room and held my friend at knife point! That's the definition of kidnapping, in my eyes!"

But apparently Zosia didn't agree with the young Engineer, instead she had stepped away from Lexie's tubular prison and over to a console. "So, why did she kidnap me? If it wasn't to do with revenge." That's the question that Lexie wanted to know the answer to, but her attention was soon diverted away from Zosia when something caught her eye. There, standing in front of her was Mistral who was growling at her. "You can piss off right now, you over-sized can opener." Grumbled Lexie angrily, she wasn't in the mood to be dealing with Salix's pet. However, calling Mistral a 'over-sized can opener' wasn't a good idea, since the robotic panther leapt at her. Suddenly, an orb of some kind of energy struck Mistral in the side, sending him flying across the dull room, "If your pet can't handle a pitiful insult Salix, then keep him on a leash, or at least out of my way." Bellowed Zosia angrily, her eyes locking on to her purple haired minion who was stood in the shadows, the only thing that Lexie could see was the glowing blue accents of her futuristic suit. "Of course, my apologies Mistress. Come Mistral." Upon hearing his masters voice, Mistral walked away not before glaring and growling at Lexie.

"May I suggest you don't insult my followers, they don't take too kindly to that." Zosia announced as she turned back to face the console, "Maybe you should teach them some manners." Replied Lexie, but she didn't get a response. Well, not to her sarcastic comment anyway, but Zosia did ask her a question. "Tell me Lexie, what do you know about the human mind?" Lexie had to think for a moment, not really about an answer but more so as to why Zosia would ask that in the first place. "I'm an Engineer, even though I did some Medical studies at the academy, I never learnt anything about that." That was the best answer Lexie could come up with, she knew a warp engine inside out, but she knew nothing about the mind. "Why do you ask?" "Because that is what I specialise in, I've studied the human mind for most of my life. It's quite the mysterious thing actually, full on neural pathways which connect to countless other biological systems of the body." Lexie watched as files flicked up on the screens which surrounded Zosia,"I wanted to see how the human mind worked and Star Fleet were just as interested as me, but when I wanted to take my research one step further, that's when they considered me dangerous." Lexie gulped quietly at hearing that.

"What was your step?" Lexie's voice stuttered as she asked that question, it was one which made her body shiver and that was before she had even gotten the answer. "I wanted to see if I could manipulate the human mind, in such a way that the person it belonged to was unaware of what they were doing." Zosia sounded like that was something to be proud of, "So you wanted to turn human beings into puppets?" That's how Lexie saw it, well heard it more like. "In a way, yes. They will be some sort of puppet." That wasn't the response that the young Engineer was waiting for, "Well, I see why Star Fleet considered your step dangerous. It's completely insane! You can't control the human mind, it's not right!" Lexie roared angrily. "Oh, but I believe you can, my dear." Zosia was now examining the screens, reading through all the data. "But you can't! The mind isn't a bit of tech that you can mess with, in short humans aren't AI programs." Lexie was more than a bit annoyed with what this woman was claiming was possible, "You're so lucky I'm in this glorified test tube, otherwise I would have knocked your lights out by now!" Lexie had been trying to suppress her anger, but she just couldn't do it any longer, Zosia was hitting all the right buttons. "Oh, is that so my dear? Don't make me laugh! But, I know exactly how to change your mind."

Lexie suddenly froze, her heart slowed and her eyes widened. "What… what are you going to do to me?" Her voice stuttered as she spoke, fear was showing. "My my, how quick your tune has changed. But the answer to your question is simple, you're going to be my first successful experiment of human mind control." Zosia called as she put on an eye piece, with what Lexie could only describe as a wing part over the ear. "Wait, what do you mean... first successful experiment? You've tested your monstrous ideas on others?!" "Only a handful, but sadly not one of them was a suitable candidate, they didn't last five minutes." That made all the blood drain away from Lexie's already pale face, "What does that mean?" Even if Lexie couldn't see Zosia's face, she knew that there was the biggest grin on her smug looking face. "Oh you know, they died." She said that as if that was something to be proud of, "But, how can you be sure that I'm going to be you're 'so called' successful experiment?" Lexie asked slowly. "Why did I ask that? Why the fuck did I just do that?" She grumbled to herself as she watched Zosia walked towards her prison, but a voice quickly called out from the darkness. "Mistress, I have some disturbing news."

Zosia sighed loudly as she rolled her eyes, "And can it wait Nina? I'm a bit busy." "Sadly not Mistress, it's about… Them?" Nina's voice sounded slightly nervous, apparently no matter who spoke to Zosia, they never enjoyed doing it. "I wondered when they would show themselves, well in that case…" Zosia removed the eye piece which she had only just fitted over her eye, before turning to face Lexie. "I've got some business to attend to, I'll be back. I would say don't go anywhere, but it's not like you can go anywhere even if you wanted to." Then she walked off, her cape flowing behind her while being closely followed by Nina. At least Lexie could now have a moment of peace, before Zosia returned to conduct her 'Experiment' on her. "Scotty… Please have noticed something's wrong. I need you…" Lexie felt tears drip slowly down her cheeks, if she could wipe them away then she would, but since her hands were bound by heavy duty shackles, she just couldn't. Lexie was praying that the guys were looking, she knew they most likely were. But she was worried that they might not actually find her, Zosia and her little minions were in the possession of some only imaginable tech. So how Scotty and the others would find her was a mystery, but Scotty would find a way.

Several minutes passed before Zosia returned, a gigantic smirk across her face. "My sincerest apologies my dear, now where were we?" "You were going to explain to me, why you believe that I'm going to be you're 'so called' successful experiment?" Lexie couldn't believe she had just repeated her question, how stupid could she be? "Aww, yes! How forgetful of me, well allow me to give you the answer. It's because of your eyes." "Umm, what?" That just confused Lexie. "I've done extensive research into how different parts of the human body are connected to the mind, not forgetting what health conditions can have a significant effect on the mind…" As Zosia gave Lexie her explanation, she wandered back over to the consoles to retrieve her eye piece. "And I discovered something extraordinary! People with Heterochromia Iridum had been found to have exceptional brains, which is down to the mix up of genes in the eyes." Lexie didn't really understand a word of what Zosia was saying, "So, you're the perfect specimen for my experiment." That didn't make Lexie feel any better. "No! I will never allow for you to use me for a mad man scheme!" Lexie roared as she tried frantically to break free of her shackles, but she stopped when she heard Zosia laughing maniacally. "Oh my dear, you don't have a choice in the matter. No body disobeys me and lives to see the light of day, besides you're in no condition to argue with me." Zosia placed her eye piece back on before turning to face Lexie, who glared at her trying to hide her ever growing fear. "My friends will come for me and when they do, you'll be sorry!"

"Oh really, that's if they survive what I've got planned for them." Lexie's harsh eyes quickly saddened, that must have been what Nina had come to talk to Zosia about, what else could it have been? "I swear to god, hurt a hair on their heads and I will rip the life from your body, just like I did to Kyle!" But Zosia didn't seem worried about that, "Really? This is coming from the human lab rat whose inside a glass tube, you're delusional." Suddenly Zosia clicked her fingers, simultaneously the tank began to fill with some form of red liquid. "Are you insane?! I'll drown!" Lexie cried as the water level got higher and higher, "Don't panic yourself child, you won't drown. The liquid contains a much higher oxygen contents than normal water, besides your suit will prevent that from happening." Well, that was a relief for Lexie. Almost drowning once in one of the Enterprise's water tanks was enough, suddenly she felt something jab her painfully in the back of the neck. That was then closely followed by a high pitched screeching noise, which felt as if it would make her ears bleed. "No! Stop it!" Lexie screamed, but Zosia didn't listen. Instead the sound only got louder and louder, Lexie's eyes were closed tightly. This must have been how Delta felt, back when Roman gained control of him. God, it was so painful! Lexie felt like she would pass out, but before that she managed to scream one last thing. "Scotty!"
