The Next Day, Bullhead to Beacon
"Oh I'm so proud of my little sister getting into Beacon two years early!"
"Guh! Y-Yang! Can't breathe!"
Ruby was currently struggling to get out of the bear hug that her sister was giving her. Her sister, Yang Xiao Long, had long bright, golden hair that went down past her waist a little, she had bright lilac eyes and wore a tan jacket that bares her midriff, with golden brown piping and short, puffy sleeves with black cuffs that feature two gold buttons. Underneath this, she wears a low cut yellow crop top with her emblem on the left breast in black.
She also wears a brown belt covered by a pleated brown piece of material reaching from hip to hip around the back of her waist. Underneath this is a long, white, asymmetrical piece of material reaching to her knee on the right side, as well as a pair of tight black spandex compression shorts that reach her upper thighs. She wears a pair of brown, knee high boots and orange over-the-knee socks, with the right sock pushed down just below the knee. A gray bandanna is tied around her left knee.
On her wrists are a pair of yellow bracelets.
"Those transform into gauntlets right?" Kazuki asked walking up to the two sisters alongside Naoto.
While Naoto was wearing his usual clothing - mostly because he didn't own anything else - Kazuki now wore a shirt resembling Naoto's only there were no metal plates and on his right shoulder that same image of a strange flower, the shirt was also now a dark blue with a pure black trim in the middle. He wore dark blue jeans that shifted into a brighter blue in the style of flames near the bottom, it also had a hole for his tail to go through. On his feet he wore black boots with a blue line covering the top and going down in a straight line to the back of heels and front of his boots. He wore the same gloves as he did before and kept his bright blue ring on his wrist. Kazuki also had a blue scarf around his neck.
"Yeah, how'd you know?" Yang asked him, slightly curious as she had never met him before… or beat him up before.
"It's my semblance" He answered nonchalantly.
"Wait! I thought your semblance let you make weapons and armor!" Ruby blurted out, certain that she saw him make weapons and armor from nothing.
"Close, but that was only PART of my semblance, Ruby"
"Waitwhatelsecanitdo!?" She asked quickly…. Too quickly….
"Well a promise is a promise so I see no harm in telling you now." He smiled at her, "My semblance allows me to not only create anything that falls under that category of 'weapon' but it also tells me everything about it too, I also get basic information on its user - or users if it's had more than one known user - such as age, date of birth, eye color, hair color, gender, species and the most helpful of all, their blood type." He explained.
"That sounds like a lot for a creation based semblance" Yang chimed in.
"You're just jealous" Ruby teased.
"No, but I know you definitely are" She teased back.
"...okay maybe a little…"
"Only a little?"
"Okay a LOT!" Ruby conceded, pouting.
"Uh… how much of that was true?" Naoto whispered to Kazuki
"Oh all of it, though I only knew those were gauntlets cause well… you know, I've seen them before" He whispered back.
"Ah…"
While the four were conversing a slender, short-haired blonde man with black turtleneck and leggings under a white Japanese-style tunic, white gloves, jolting sapphire colored military boots, and a jolting sapphire colored jacket with a red lining and very long, detached sleeves was standing in a corner with his eyes closed, upon overhearing what Kazuki's 'semblance' was, he opened his eyes to get a look at just who owned the voice explaining it, revealing his eyes to an emerald green. This man was known as 'Jin Kisaragi', the Kisaragis being one of the main 'noble' families in the kingdom of Atlas, however Jin was not related to them by blood but was instead adopted by them.
"A creation - based semblance centered around anything that counts as a 'weapon'? Interesting" he muttered to himself.
Looking out the window of the bullhead, the passengers could see their destination. Beacon Academy, it was situated in between a cliff-side that faced the City of Vale at the front, and at the back was Emerald Forest which, as the name implied, a giant lush green forest that was also, under a cliff.
"Holy Crap! If this is the Academy then I wanna see what Vale considers a castle!" An energetic voice called out.
Turning to the voice, Jin saw two people whom he recognized.
The one who hadn't elicited much of a reaction was a squirrel faunas, who had both a big curly squirrel's tail and ears - two animal traits being an extreme rarity for faunas, the only known majority being the Kaka Clan - with short brown hair, hazel eyes, and large breasts. She wears an orange collared jacket with folden sleeves, underneath the jacket she wore an orange fighter top showing the bottom-half of her bosom, black strap panties with an orange skirt-like cloth that allows most of her buttocks to escape, long black stockings, and orange small boots with yellow toes.
Her weapons consisted of two tonfas that could channel dust and fire them in slow moving spheres of energy.
"Yeah! The View is amazing Makoto!" another excited but more mellow voice said aloud, revealing the Squirrel faunas to be Makoto Nanaya.
The other person - who caused Jin to scowl, thus scaring anyone near him as the air around him grew cold - was a young girl with long back length blond hair and emerald green eyes who wore a short jolting sapphire cape with gold lining she also wore a pure with sleeveless, open back skin-tight shirt, on her hands are a pair of white gloves and on her lower body she wear black thigh-high socks, a short skirt and boots similar to Jin's that are steel-tipped and for some reason have a large, sort of gold zipper-styled ornament on the front . She also wears two large holsters on her back, which housed her weapons, the Bolverk, two pistols that can combine to form a variety of other ranged weapons. On her head she wore two blue hairpieces on opposite sides of her head.
"I can't wait to get started! What about you Noellers? Ready to finally make some more friends?" Makoto asked her friend.
"W-Why would I need to do that when I have you, Makoto?" she asked nervously.
"Come on Noel, it's not healthy to be so anti-social"
"Noel Vermilion and Makoto Nanaya, why am I not surprised?" Jin said, walking up to them.
"J-Jin?!" Noel jumped at his sudden appearance.
"Oh Crap… things just got a whole lot harder…. How am I supposed to help Noel make more friends if HE'S here?!" Makoto thought to herself.
"What's trash like you doing here, anyway? I had thought you would have gone to the Academy in Mistral or Atlas" He asked Noel.
"Could say the same thing about you Jinny" Makoto teased, trying to get his attention away from Noel.
"Call me that again and I'll freeze your tongue before cutting it out" He threatened, clearly annoyed at the casual use of his hated nickname.
"Then stop crushing Noel's self-esteem!"
"Tch." Jin decided to stop wasting his time and walked back to his corner.
"T-Thanks Makoto…" Noel thanked her friend, still intimidated by the sudden appearance of the Kisaragi Heir.
"Just ignore him Noel, he won't be keeping it up for long"
At the Landing platforms
"Holy Crap! This place is even bigger up close!" Naoto shouted in surprise.
"Yep, no matter what this place will always manage to amaze me when I see it for the first time" Kazuki commented aloud.
"How can see it for the 'first time' multiple times?" Naoto asked.
"Uh, cause I've only arrived in a bullhead to Beacon on the first day no matter the timeline?" Kazuki responded. "I usually fly"
"Uh… with a jet or…..?"
"Yeah, sure, let's go with that"
Suddenly the two heard shouting and turned to see Ruby getting shouted at by a girl in complete white, White Hair, white combat dress, white boots.
"Yep seems like Weiss alright…" he sighed "Naoto, you mind?"
"Sure" Naoto began walking over to help Ruby with Beacon's new Resident Ice Queen, Weiss Schnee.
"Feel free swear and insult her, especially her family name!" Kazuki called to him.
Naoto simply waved a hand as he was walking over.
With Noel and Makoto, both were busy looking at Beacon Tower's sheer size near Kazuki and Naoto that failed to hear the conversation.
"Woah…. It's even more amazing up close!" Makoto said, lightly - by her terms anyway - shaking Noel only to get interrupted upon hearing someone shove her to the side and insult her.
"Seriously? Two Double freaks!? What the hell's up with this place?" the racist boy said as he brushed past Makoto continuing to walk past her.
"That was just uncalled for, you okay Makoto?" Noel looked at her friend concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine, I'm used to this kind of stu-"
[Cue "Fate/Stay Night: Eiyuu Ou"]
"You're gonna have to come up with better insults ass-hat I've been called worse!" Makoto was interrupted by Kazuki who had apparently called the bully out.
"Oh yeah, freak? Like what?"
"Oh you know, monster, disgrace the gods, hell I've been called a freak by other faunas! But any insult from an Extra like yourself is meaningless" Kazuki taunted.
"Who the hell are you calling an Ex…..tra….." the racist suddenly stopped in his tracks as there were now blades floating above Kazuki aimed right at him. A dozen blades to be specific.
"I suggest you get a move on, you weakling, or better yet, just leave all together if THAT'S that kind of attitude you're going to be giving others
Everyone who was watching this go down suddenly froze, some with astonishment, others curiosity and some ,who are like the racist bully, fear. Makoto fell backwards as she kept looking up to see that the wall of blades was ever expanding.
"I-I give up!" the bully announced before running off
[End Song]
Kazuki sighed, "seriously… am I EVER gonna get a break with idiots like that?" he muttered to himself. "Hm?"
He looked over to Makoto who was now sitting on the ground before walking up to her.
"Hey, you ok?" He asked her as he held out his hand.
"Huh? O-Oh yeah." she replied, still amazed at what she saw as she took his hand and he helped her up.
"Name's Kazuki, you?"
"Makoto" she replied smiling.
"You sure seem happy"
"Well, I just didn't expect to see another faunas with two traits at Beacon, that's all"
"Jeez are we really that rare?" He asked, scratching the back of his head, "actually…. You're technically still the only one…."
"Huh? What do you mean? Are your ears or tail fake?" Noel chimed in, just as confused as Makoto.
"Well the thing is… actually it's better if I just demonstrate… oh but can you keep it a secret from everyone else here please?" He asked.
"Sure but why are you asking us?" Makoto asked him.
"Well you guys seem trustworthy, that's why, anyway," suddenly Kazuki's hair seemed spikier, he then pulled a strand of hair from his head, only for it to be bigger and thick, "here, poke your finger with this" he handed it to Makoto.
"What? Why do I-ow!" she pulled her hand away from the strand, "what the hell? It's just like-"
"A hedgehog quill?" Kazuki finished her sentence.
Makoto and Noel then looked at Kazuki with sudden realization.
"YOU'RE A HY-MMPH?!" Makoto didn't get to finish her sudden realization as Noel had snapped out of it first and covered her Faunas friend's mouth.
"Yep, Kazuki the Hedgewolf! At your service." He proceeded to do a mock Butler Bow, "that's why one of the insults that get thrown at me by humans is 'creation against the Gods' and why other Faunas have sometimes called me a freak" He explained.
"T-that's horrible, why would they do that?!" Noel had asked in an annoyed tone, something of a rarity for her to do, and removed her hands from Makoto's mouth.
"Well… I mean I kinda am." He answered her.
"But you're not! You're a living person like the rest of us!"
"Yeah, if only other humans saw things the way you did"
"Damn that's…. Honestly, pretty crazy and cool!" Makoto told him.
"Why thank you" he looked around, "so…. Which way is it to the auditorium?"
"Aw crud..." Makoto suddenly slumped down.
"H-Hey! What's going on over there!?" Noel Shouted, pointing in the direction of-
"Crap!" Suddenly Kazuki rushed over in the direction of Jin Kisaragi who was currently having an intense stare-down with Ragna. He wasn't fast enough as the two had already drawn their blades however-
"Let's Go you Little crybaby!" Roared Ragna as he charged at Jin.
"Bring it, Brother!" Shouted Jin as he returned the charge.
CLASH!
[Cue: 'Fate/Apocrypha: The Knight of Rebellion']
"What?!"
"Who Dares?!"
Both Jin and Ragna's attacks were intercepted by Kazuki, in his right hand he held an ornate, sparkling white silver sword adorned with splendid red decorations, stopping Ragna's Aramasa and in his left hand, an even larger silver sword with a unique design as it has no cross guard unlike the first, but it isn't shaped like a katana like Jin Kisaragi's Yukianasa, it's grip is a shade of dark greenish-blue that extends onto the blade itself before fading to silver, as it goes further up the swords blood-groove, the dark greenish-blue color returns, leaving the rest of the sword silver.
"I dare, assholes! If you two wanna fight then wait until you actually get past the initiation, then you can fight in the combat classes!" Kazuki yelled at the two brothers.
"Impossible! That sword should have been turned to ice by now and him along with it! Don't tell me… it's also a Nox Nyctorus!? But then that would mean that not only is there more than 9 but that this boy can copy even them!" Jin thought to himself, suddenly, he noticed steam coming from Yukianasa, "NO WAY! It's MELTING Yukianasa's blade!?" Jin quickly jumped back and sheathed Yukianasa back into its sheath. "Fine, I'll be waiting for you, Brother" Jin said as he walked off.
[End Song]
"Tch, fine" Ragna said as he placed Aramasa back onto his back, "What the hell were those swords? The one that was against Aramasa held it back like nothing, meaning it's extremely durable and that this brat's also insanely strong since he did it with one hand. And that other sword, I'm no idiot, I know Yukianasa can freeze anything it cuts, not only was that other sword resisting that, but it was also starting to MELT Yukianasa. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me…." Ragna thought to himself as he walked off to the Auditorium.
Author Notes: Whoop! Another chapter done and even more characters have been introduced. I'm sorry for skipping past the argument that would've ensued between Weiss and Naoto but I wanted to focus on the other BlazBlue Characters first - even though there's still two more who'll be attending Beacon that I have yet to mention - but whatever. And I'm sure that by now thanks to the music choices you've all figured out what one of the other franchises that's getting included is. And hey maybe the other two if that one line wasn't an obvious enough hint, Anyway, that's all until next time.
