Beacon Dorms

After the teams were all formed, they each made their ways to their respective Dorms, Teams RWBY and JNPR were right across each other, as were Teams BLST and RJNN. Team Tekkadan was an outlier, being beside RJNN's Dorm but not being across from any other team. Thankfully Team CRDL was further down the hallway from the rest of them otherwise Tekkadan, Ragna and Bullet would've seriously hurt them had they tried anything, something members of Team CRDL will likely try to do anyway.

Team Tekkadan's Dorm

"Hey, Kazuki." Naoto called out to his new leader.

"Hm? What is it?" Kazuki turned around to face his teammate.

"Why'd you go for Tekkadan? I know it means Iron Flower, so I wanna know why that name specifically, cause I don't mean to sound rude but, despite your name I can tell you were never Japanese." He tells him.

"Ah… here" Kazuki takes a photo out of his pocket and hands it Naoto, "This was the original Tekkadan." Kazuki explained.

In the photo were several people, each wearing a green jacket with folded sleeves, revealing the inside of the jacket to be orange. Some of them looked like they were younger than even Ruby. At the front was Kazuki, alongside two others who seemed to be doing a fist-bump. The one on the right was a tall, dark-skinned man with white, spiky hair, he had a single bang going down in front of one of his amber eyes. He wore a crimson suit with black shoes and wore the same jacket as everyone else in the style of a cape with it hanging from his shoulders.

Returning the man's fist-bump was a small boy. He had short black hair with two ahoges at the front, forming the shape of a crescent moon, he's wearing the same outfit as everyone else in the picture and has a dark blue tank-top underneath the jacket. Also under the jacket is an arm-cast, signifying that his arm is broken. He had blue eyes and his right eye appeared empty, meaning that eye was probably blind.

Behind them was a large building that had the same image that Kazuki had on his clothes, signifying that the flower was actually the insignia of Tekkadan, only unlike Kazuki's, it was red.

"So… this is your way of keeping the Tekkadan Name alive then?" Kazuma asked, having taken a look at the photo from over Naoto's shoulder.

"Yep, you got that right… though I might change our team name later, depends if it sticks or not" Kazuki told them, "Come on. Let's get some sleep… neither of you are sleeping through tomorrow's classes, no matter how boring Professor Port's is…." He said to them, walking into the bathroom that each team dorm has.

"Yeah, Yeah, I got it." Naoto said, sitting down on his bed.

"This new life sure is interesting so far… even if I almost died immediately…" Kazuma muttered to himself.

Team BLST's Dorm

Currently Team BLST's leader, Bang, was deep in thought. The rest of the team were currently taking in their new living arrangements for the next four years.

"Wow, this room looks really cozy for meow! But I don't think it's large enough for meow to run around in." Tao said, eyeing the room with curiosity.

"Um, Tao, this room is for us to study and live in whenever we aren't attending class. We may not be confined in here but it won't do us any good to have you running around." Amane told his partner.

"I've no complaints, honestly, this is better than what I'm used to." Bullet said, putting her things on a bed and claiming it for herself.

"Well I suppose the accommodations are nice for us students but we can't get too relaxed, we have classes tomorrow after all. Isn't that right Bang? Um, Bang?" Amane had called out to his leader, getting his attention.

"Hm? Oh, yes, my apologies Amane, I was lost in thought there.." Bang told him.

"It would do you some good to pay attention to your surroundings more often. It won't do you any good as a leader if you can't." Amane said.

"I see, I'm just trying to adjust to the fact that I am the leader of this team." Bang had told him, only giving a small part of the details.

"I understand Bang, but try not to think too hard on it and just do whatever comes naturally to you." Amane told him.

"Thank you for your encouraging words Amane, now then. Let us get to unpacking our things and getting ready for tomorrow." He said. As he placed his own stuff down however, he noticed that team JNPR had finally arrived at their own dorm, "I must apologize, Amane, but first I need to speak with someone, I will return shortly." He told him, walking out of his team's dorm and over to Jaune.

"Hmm, I hope he's not overwhelmed by the fact he's a team leader. Well he should be alright so long as he remembers that he's a part of a team and can rely on us." Amane said before going to help unpack things with the rest of his team.

"Jaune!" Bang called out to Team JNPR's leader.

"Huh? Oh hey, Bang right?" Jaune asked, a little nervous.

"Yes that is correct, I would like to get your opinion on something." Bang told him.

"Huh? Oh okay, well what would you like? I'll try to help out as best as I can!" Jaune said, slightly more confident that someone had gone to HIM of all people for help.

"Well, I would like to know what your thoughts on being a team leader are, I don't believe that the role has fully sunk in for myself." Bang explained.

"Well… I don't know what to tell you, Bang. Honestly, it's still kind of a shock for myself too, I'm sorta still processing it myself…" Jaune told him, scratching the back of his head.

"I see, well thank you for sparing the time to try and help me." Bang thanked Jaune with a bow.

It was then that Pyrrha, the other member of team JNPR, had walked out, "You're not alone in this Jaune, so don't feel overwhelmed by the position of a leader. You too Bang, don't forget that you can rely on your team, as well as your friends." She told the two of them.

"Thank you for your kind words, Pyrrha, Jaune. I will take it to heart." He thanked them, walking back to his own team's dorm. "Hmm, I need to remember that I can rely on my team as well as my friends if I'm ever feeling overwhelmed. But then what does it mean to truly be a team? Master Tenjo is a great example to learn form but how can truly be a good leader like my master?" He thought to himself.

The next day, Tekkadan Dorm

Naoto was the first one to awaken, or so he thought as Kazuki's bed was empty, not really thinking much of it, he quickly went into the bathroom for a quick shower. When he was done he put on the Beacon uniform. It consisted of a black suit lined with gold, accompanied by a blue vest and a white shirt with a red tie. Naoto of course kept his gloves on.

Deciding to wait for Kazuma, he stood outside his dorm room and checked his scroll, Ozpin had given it to him after his interrogation a week earlier, to see his timetable, first up was History with Professor Oobleck, whoever that was. He then heard loud rattling coming from Team RWBY's dorm. Despite being tempted to ignore it, curiosity got the better of him and he walked over, knocking on the door.

The door opened and Naoto was extremely concerned. He saw Yang holding up a bed above another one while Blake was stacking books to act as a makeshift support beam.

"W-What is all of…. This?" He asked aloud, pointing at the makeshift 'bunk beds'.

"They're bunk beds!" Ruby answered enthusiastically, not at all noticing the concerned look on Naoto's face.

"Well at least if anything goes wrong none of you will have to pay for a coffin." Naoto choked on his own saliva as he held back a laugh, turning around he saw Ragna, who decided to not at all bother wearing the Beacon uniform. He then looked back to Team RWBY and noticed Yang who was trying to hold in a laugh of her own, Blake and Weiss who let out a small giggle and Ruby who… completely missed the joke and had a look of confusion on her face.

"So that's what all of the noise was" Makoto said walking over, unlike her leader she was wearing the Beacon Uniform which consisted of a red plaid skirt, stockings of various length, and a brown jacket with a tan vest and white shirt with a red ribbon tied at the collar. Noel had also walked up and was about to say something only, "No we are NOT doing that," for Ragna to shut down the idea before she could even say it.

"Aw come on! What's the worst that could happen?" Makoto asked, elbowing Ragna.

"Oh I don't know, maybe the bed falling on top of whoever gets the bottom bunk which will probably end up being either me or Jin." he tells her.

"Well… you four keep doing…. That, I'm gonna go and have a look around." Naoto said, walking off.

Back in the Tekkadan Dorm, Kazuma woke up to see Kazuki putting his scarf around his neck, looking around, he saw that Naoto was gone.

"I see you're finally awake." Kazuki said to him, "oh yeah, heads up, our first class is History with Professor Oobleck, his hairstyle is similar to Terumi's so try not to attack him." He told him.

"Okay, thanks for the heads up, but what about… Ragna, was that his name?" Kazuma asked.

"Eh, he'll be fine, if anything it might have been that fact that your hair is the same shade of green as Terumi's but hell if I know, guess we'll just have to wait and see." He told him.

The two left their dorm after Kazuma had gotten dressed, he decided to keep his cloak, and walked past Team RWBY's only to end up seeing the makeshift bunk beds, Kazuma was at a loss for words and Kazuki just let out a chuckle before they continued on to class.

Oobleck's Classroom

"Greetings everyone, my name is Bartholomew Oobleck but you may call me Dr. Oobleck and I will be teaching you all History," Dr. Oobleck said in a very fast tone before drinking his coffee and zipping to another part of the classroom. Naoto and Kazuma looked to Kazuki who simply shrugged.

"Don't ask, I never knew and probably never will know how he moves this fast… oh, and try to take down what you can." He told them.

"If you will learn anything during your time at Beacon it will be the significance that History has in our society. Trust me when I say this, all of you are expected to understand history and learn the importance of many crucial events. I will not tolerate foolishness of any form and furthermore…" Dr. Oobleck had said before he was interrupted by loud snoring, looking to the source he noticed that was Tao Kaka, much to the horror of her team. After noticing the young faunas, he zipped up to where she is, somehow not spilling any coffee from his cup.

"Miss, what do you think you are doing sleeping in my classroom? Do you have any idea how insulting it is for you to be sleeping when I am talking to you?" He said, waking Tao up.

"Oh um… well…" Tao was saying before Bang decided to speak up.

"My apologies Dr. Oobleck, the fault is mine. I had asked Tao to help me with a few things yesterday and it had taken up more time than I had originally planned for. By the time we finished and she had finally settled it gave her little to no time to sleep. The fault is my own and I take full responsibility. Bang had said while some of the other students snickered, namely Team CRDL.

"I can vouch for Bang's story, Doctor, but please be lenient just this once, it is her first day and we will make sure this never happens again or at the very least less frequently." Amane had said to the Doctor.

After looking at the three students, Dr. Oobleck took a quick sip of his coffee and spoke, "Very well, I will be lenient just this once, but if I catch her or anyone else falling asleep there will be severe consequences!" He said before zipping back down to the front of the classroom.

Bang and Bullet sighed a breath of relief and Amane shook his head, "Poor Tao, she was so excited for her first day that she barely had any sleep." He said to himself.

Beacon Food Hall

It was currently lunch time for the students at Beacon and a lot of students had gone to the food hall to get their fill. Currently, half of Team RWBY and BLST, all of JNPR and Tekkadan and RJNN minus Jin were sitting at a table.

"So, how were your guys' first class?" Jaune asked them.

"Well Tao almost got into a world of trouble for falling asleep in History." Bullet had told him.

"Yikes, Ice-Queen got to fight a Boarbatusk Grimm but huffed off afterwards, she and Ruby got into an… argument…" Yang said.

"Lemme guess, Ruby was trying to be helpful and Weiss was being… well, Weiss." Kazuki said, getting a nod from Yang, "Figures, where's Jin?" He asked Ragna.

"No idea, he just went off somewhere, hell if I know." he told him.

"Shouldn't you be more considerate? I mean, you're team leader after all." Kazuma said, sitting down at the table with a bowl of hard-boiled eggs, getting stares from everyone else, "what?"

"You sure you're not a snake faunas?" Yang asked, causing Kazuma to choke on his own spit, while causing Kazuki to chuckle.

"Y-yes, I'm sure." He told her, slamming his fist on his chest.

Beacon Balcony

It's be an understatement to say that Weiss was irritated, she giving a less than stellar performance when dealing with a Boarbatusk Grimm in Professor Port's class due to her team leader's so called encouragement. She's aware that she has to give the younger girl a chance as a teammate but a leader is another matter entirely! In her eyes, Ruby hasn't earned the right to be team leader at all and feels that Ozpin made a mistake. Stepping outside, she saw Jin. Needing to vent her frustrations, she felt that he'd be the right person to talk to.

Weiss and Jin had known each other for quite a long time, in fact, were it not for Jin, Weiss wouldn't even be here right now.

"Jin!" She called out, getting his attention.

"Weiss. Good to see you again." He said, briefly turning around to her.

"It's good to see you too, so, how have classes been treating you so far?" She asked him.

"They've been going well, though since it's the first day I expect things will get harder in the long run." He told her.

"That's good, for as long as I've known you, you've always done exceptionally well so I don't believe things will really get difficult for you." She said to him.

"The same could be said for you, Weiss. We have been taking classes together since we were kids back in Atlas so I've no doubt in my mind that you've managed to impress your professors with your performance. Though something tells me that you're bothered by something." He stated to her with ease.

"Well seeing as you've figured this much out there's no point in hiding it," She sighed, "I think Professor Ozpin made a mistake when he made Ruby team leader instead of myself, same as how you aren't the leader of your team." She told him.

"I see, well then what do you plan to do about it?" Jin asked her, surprising her.

"What do you mean?" She asked.

"It's exactly as I said it. What do you plan on doing about it?" He repeated, "I shall tell this much, there is nothing that can be done about it. Weiss, for as long as I have known you, you have been exceptionally skilled and intelligent. However, you have a tendency to display a poor attitude when things don't go your way. Just because you are the Schnee Family Heir, doesn't mean you are entitled to everything you want. And do you think that complaining to Ozpin will convince him to change his mind?" He continued.

Weiss went silent. He was right, just like that faunas, she was acting like her father. She decided to think about her situation more thoroughly before Jin began to speak again.

"Weiss, this Academy is to teach us to be the defenders of Mankind, so what would you learn in being the team leader? Something you are no doubt already capable of doing?" He asked her.

"Nothing." She answered, "But what about you?"

"Simple, I have also studied on how to be a team leader, my weakness is in my ability to actually play a part in a team." He told her, causing her to remember the time that she overheard an instructor criticizing him about his inability to act cooperatively on a team.

"All you're doing is being a hindrance to your own team leader when you should, in fact, be helping her get more accustomed to the position."

"I see, well thank you Jin. And if you don't mind me asking, what about Ragna? What do you think was the reason he was given the role?" She asked him.

"Pity, and if you knew him as well as I do, you'd know he needs it." He told her bluntly.

"I get the feeling that there's more of a history between you two" She stated.

"That would be because we're brothers, and we're not on good terms, I'd rather not discuss it.." He told her, shocking her.

"I see… Well, thank you for listening to me and giving me that advice, Jin. And if you ever feel the need to talk about it then I'll be there to listen." She told him before walking away, realizing the topic of family is a sore subject, something she can relate to.

Beacon Hallways

Currently walking through the hallway to the training rooms is Kazuki. He intended to ask if he could use them to spar with his teammates, hoping that Professor Goodwitch would be alright with it. On his way there, he saw Ruby, who appeared to be deep in thought.

"Hey, Ruby!" He called out to her

She is snapped away from her thoughts upon hearing his voice, she was thinking about the talk Ozpin had given her about the role as a team leader and how it wasn't a mistake, though she was definitely still concerned about how to be a good one.

"Oh, hey Kazuki!" She waved to him.

"Hey, you alright? You seemed down." He asked her, though he already knew why.

"Yeah it's just… can I ask you something?" She asks.

"You just did." He teases.

"Wha-no! Okay then, can I ask you two questions?" She asks again, realizing her mistake as Kazuki laughs.

"I'm just messing, go ahead, what is it?"

"Well… I was just wondering… how can I be a good team leader?"

"I'm not sure how to answer that really, it depends on the team and it's leader… also why'd you come to me about this? Why not Jaune or Bang?" He asks her, slightly confused.

"Well it's just… during the initiation you took charge of everything! You just seemed like you knew what you were doing so I thought that if anyone knew, it'd be you." She tells him.

"Ah… well I don't know what to tell you… this is about Weiss isn't it?" He asks her and she nods, "figures, Yang told me, well I guess… again I'm not really sure, the best way to start would be to know your team's strengths and weaknesses, as well as what each person is like. Though since this is Weiss I'd suggest trying to get along with her better, remember, she was born into a rich family and as such, got anything she ever wanted, so I'd suggest doing what you can to prove to her that Ozpin didn't make a mistake." He explains, getting a nod from Ruby showing that she's still listening, "It might take a while but try to see things from her point of view, she studied and trained all her life for this and instead the role of a team leader is given to you, someone who's inexperienced in this kind of thing. I don't really have anything else to say so I hope this helps!" He tells her, instinctively patting her head before walking off. Not noticing how flustered Ruby became.

Beacon Statue, Night

It had been a very busy day for Beacon's Headmaster. After making sure that all of the students were in their classes and everything was running properly, he was delighted to find no issues. Apart from the pep talk he had given Ruby Rose about being a team leader, everything had gone smoothly. Though he had made sure to keep a close eye on two students in particular. Kazuki and Kazuma Kval.

"You know, if people see ya standing here they will think things will get ominous about the future." A voice called out to the Headmaster.

"And I suppose hiding while speaking gives a less ominous feeling, Jubei?" Ozpin said, causing the short faunas to step into the light. Jubei was a cat faunas who had two cat tails and cat ears, he wore an orange hoodie with sleeves that covered his hands and looked like cat's paws with three slits on each sleeve. On his back was a sheath with the handle of a katana coming out of opposite ends. He also wore an eye-patch over his right eye and had black hair with grey streaks.

"Good point, Oz." Jubei said.

"Well what did you think of this year's initiation? I know you were watching the whole thing." Ozpin asked.

"You knew I was there? Heh, I must be losing my touch in my old age." Jubei said with a sigh.

"No Jubei, you're not, I simply made a guess and your reaction confirmed it." Ozpin said with a chuckle.

"Now you're just being modest. But if you want to know, I'd say they still have a long way to go." Jubei told him.

"I will admit, that is true, but they have potential. It is up to them to fulfill that potential." The Headmaster said.

"Ha, Still, I didn't think you'd make Ragna a team leader, though considering what his brother's like, he's the best candidate by comparison." Jubei Said, "still, there's something that caught my eye." Jubei said with a now serious tone.

"Indeed, I know exactly what you're referring to." Ozpin said, activating his scroll and handing it Jubei.

Jubei observed what was on the scroll and to say he was shocked would be an accurate statement. What the scroll was showing was footage from the initiation, specifically, the part where Naoto and Kazuki come across Kazuma in the Emerald Forest. There was some strange interference so there was no sound. Thankfully, the sound returned when they got to the temple, specifically when Ragna attacked Kazuma.

"So it's really Kazuma eh? That's a surprise." Jubei said, handing the scroll back to Ozpin.

"That's not all, I was able to figure out what Mr. Kazuki had said to Mr. Kval," The Headmaster said with a serious tone, "This isn't your world, or at least not the version of it you knew." He repeated the words Kazuki said.

"Damn, so we got two people from a different world then?" Jubei asked.

"Indeed, and I have a feeling that Mr. Kurogane is also from another world, not only that but it seems as though Mr. Kazuki has been to several worlds." Ozpin told him.

"I see, well I hate to bring more bad news to ya Oz, but there's more." Jubei said, causing Ozpin to look at him.

"Very well, what is it?" He asked.

"Our mutual threat has located one half of the Black Beast. She has no idea where the other half is but we both know how persistent she can be. Sad thing is, that's good news by comparison." He tells him.

"Then I am dreading the other news."

"The bad news is that Terumi has escaped. Add this to the fact that two of the Malachite Serpents have been killed and it means that Terumi has a good portion of his strength back. We've no idea HOW he was able to escape in the first place but let's just focus on the fact that almost all of the news so far has been bad."

"Almost?"

"Remember the kid, Kazuki? He told Ragna that if Kazuma WAS Terumi then he'd have killed him then and there, meaning our otherworldly friend has encountered Terumi before." Jubei said.

"That is true… but are you sure of all this Jubei? If it's true then it means that the Grimm are the least of our worries." Ozpin asked.

"Yeah, Rachel confirmed it herself. The only silver lining I can see in all of this is that the deaths of the Malachite Serpents have freed Hakumen."

"I see, in that case we need to be prepared. Something we thankfully have time for. For now, don't do anything reckless old friend." Ozpin said to the One-Eyed Lotus.

"You too Oz, and stay alive for both yourself and the people of Vale." Jubei told him before vanishing into the night.

Abandoned Warehouse

Roman was PISSED. His heist a week ago was stopped by a trio of brats and worse was the fact that that damned snake had to save him, something he'd never hear the end of from those other two brats the Boss had working under her.

"Oh my, are you still annoyed about last week Rommy?" A sarcastic sounding voice called out.

"I told to STOP calling me that!" Roman turned around to the voice, "Besides, I don't see YOU doing much yourself Hazama."

As the Crime boss had said, the owner of the voice was Hazama. He has bright green hair like that of Kazuma's only his bangs don't completely cover his eyes, which are revealed to be closed. He wears a simple long dress coat-suit over a standard black suit with a white shirt underneath, short brown knuckle-less gloves, and brown steel-toed shoes (that conceal hidden knives at their heels). He dons a pair of black trousers held up by two brown belts. He completes the outfit with an iconic black fedora hat to close the shady visage.

"Well if it weren't for me then you'd be at the mercy of those brats, I think I AT LEAST deserve a thank you." Hazama said again, in a sarcastic tone.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." Roman waved him off.

He didn't know what the deal with Hazama was, but he knew to be careful, as annoying as the bastard was, he was dangerous, he saw that much when the two first met and he went absolute ape-shit on Neo. Something about her being "An illusionist Bitch" as he put it.

"I know you're insulting me, Rommy. I'm no fool, I think you'd be wise to remember your place in our deal." The snake told him.

He was right. If there was one thing the two of them agreed on, it was that they both hated the boss lady. Hazama would do what he could to get himself and Neo out of whatever crazy plan she had while they would simply continue playing their part and feign ignorance should the boss get suspicious.

Suddenly, a White Fang member that had been guarding the door went flying right through it. Both Hazama and Roman got their weapons and prepared to kill whatever fool was attacking them. When they saw who walked through the door, Roman was pissed, it was that blue faunas kid from before. Before Roman did anything, he looked to Hazama who, for the first time, seemed absolutely terrified. Roman took another glance at the brat and noticed his eyes were now a bright green, the ring on his wrist was also glowing a bright green. He couldn't explain why but the aura this kid was giving off was immense and quite frankly, terrifying.

"There you are, I've been looking for you. Let's see, you go by Hazama now, correct?" The boy asked, "Tell me… what have you been up to, Takehaya?"

Wait, Takehaya? Roman thought his name was Hazama, though given his role, he shouldn't be too surprised that he has several names.

"W-what are you doing here!?" Hazama asked, terrified.

"Simple, I felt a presence here that should be dealt with, though given this world, I suppose I can have some fun!" the boy said, a bright green glow surrounding his body, "Now then, care to fill me in on this plan that you're making, Hazama?"

"O-Of course, m'lord…" Hazama said, bowing down.

"What the fuck…." was all Roman could utter.

Author Notes: Welp, that's another chapter done and the villains, some of them, have now been introduced. Who is this person who looks like Kazuki and why is Hazama terrified of him? All shall be revealed eventually.

See ya next time.
