Chaldea, Da Vinci's Workshop
"Gudako, Atalanta, Musashi? Is something the matter?" Da Vinci had been working on the coordinates of Arthur's Spirit Origin and was just about to call the others that she had a rough estimate, that was, until Fujimaru Gudako, her Servant Miyamoto Musashi and the third Master's servant, Atalanta had entered her workshop.
"I've decided that I'd like to go and find him as well!" Gudako told the Genius Heroic Spirit.
"I too want to go… to be completely honest with myself, I don't believe I'll be able to keep this mission a secret from Mordred if I were to stay, especially if Saber Lily starts asking questions…" The Greek Servant of the Bow said.
"I see, well Holmes had a feeling that this would happen and asked me to make some preparations." Da Vinci said, handing Gudako and Atalanta both the same device she had given the others.
"Huh, guess I didn't need to convince you of anything." Musashi said.
"And you were going to do that, how?" Da Vinci asked.
"Well, wouldn't Mordred find it suspicious that I was the only Servant on that team who didn't have the same Master as everyone else on it? I mean, we're being split into two teams. It'd just be strange that one team that consisted of almost all of a different Master's Servants were to have three Masters that none of them were contracted to, when the second team was mostly made of his servants with me being the only one contracted to someone else." The Japanese Saber Servant explained.
Da Vinci stared at the Swords-women in surprise at her, albeit very valid yet, surprising point, "How didn't I think of that?"
"Well, I guess now we just need to wait." Atalanta said.
"Actually, could you go and get the others? I may have found where Arthur and his master are." Da Vinci told them.
"Um… did you already forget about the devices you handed to all of us?" Musashi asked.
Da Vinci looked away in embarrassment before laughing. She then turned on the device and called in the original team who would arrive a few minutes later with EMIYA arriving last.
"Sorry about that, it was difficult finding an excuse to get out of the kitchen so I'm afraid I just ended up telling Boudica, thankfully she understood the need for secrecy." The Counter Guardian Archer explained.
"That's fine, Boudica's one of the most trustworthy servants in Chaldea." Atalanta stated.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Cú Chulainn asked, slightly offended, slightly.
"Well we can certainly trust her to not get any of the Masters drunk" EMIYA remarked with a smirk as the Irish Lancer shot him a glare.
"Okay, that's enough out of you two, listen… I may have found them.." The Renaissance Heroic Spirit told them.
"Well, don't keep us in suspense, where are they?" Lancer asked.
"A world called Remnant."
Archer and Lancer had a look of surprise on their faces at hearing the mention of the world's name. Back when their Master was alive, he had called for the two of them and Mordred to help him in some world, that world turned out to be Remnant.
"Are you sure? Before Master said his goodbyes to the people of that World, he gave them each a device that you helped build that would let them come here or to Master's original World. If he is on Remnant, then Ruby would have told us." Archer said.
"Yes, that's what I thought too, but I looked further into it. This version of Remnant is… unique to say the least…" Da Vinci stated, getting confused looks from everyone.
"Unique how?" Gawain asked.
"Well, remember that time Jason screwed up with our Rayshift systems?"
"You're going to have to be specific. There were several incidents." Atalanta said with a straight face.
"When a large number of us ended up in a different world, not just one or two of us."
"Which world?" EMIYA asked, getting impatient.
"The one your master referred to as The BlazBlue World." Da Vinci said, causing everyone in the room to look at her with confusion.
"One, I still don't get why he called it that, and two, what does that world have to do with Remnant?" Musashi asked.
"He called it that because of the power that both that Reaper and Snake had." Archer explained.
"As for what it has to do with this, well, I noticed a few people and things from that World in Remnant." Da Vinci told them, "First was Ragna the Bloodedge, Jin Kisaragi and one of The Six Heroes. The Second was Ronin-Gai. It seems as though this Remnant is a combination of, well, Remnant and the Earth from the BlazBlue World. And before you ask, no, no one there is actually aware of that, it's like it's completely its own existence, separate from the originals."
"Meaning that when we get there, we'll have more to worry about than just those beasts, but also the likes of that Snake and Mad-Dog…" Cú Chulainn said in an irritated tone.
"Indeed, I still remember the power that that Beast of Man held, pushing back both myself and Sir Lancelot while he was still holding back." Gawain added.
"Well hopefully we don't run into him.. Tch, really wishing I could trace more than just blades…" Archer muttered.
Gudako looked at him in surprise, "That's new, why's that?"
"Because even if you have magecraft and a good level of hand to hand combat experience thanks to St. Martha and a few others, you'll still need a weapon, I can provide any blade but ranged weaponry is out for you." The Servant of the Bow explained.
"Oi, Archer, what about Her?" Cú Chulainn asked.
"I can trace Rule Breaker and get rid of her immortality, Master could never seem to get the hang of that one. Even then, Harpe would also do the job, and Master can at least trace that."
"Alright, well, thanks to when you two and Mordred first went there, we have enough data on the Grimm to use in the simulator so Gudako can get used to them." Da Vinci said.
"One problem, Arjuna and Karna are using it." Musashi told her.
"And they're NOT killing each other?" Da Vinci asked.
"No, our Master did ask that they at least try to not do that, and they've been doing a pretty good job at that too. Instead of outright killing each other, they do a few spars and then hold a competition on who can take out more Shadow Servants." Gawain explained.
"Well then.. I guess we should send you six off now then!"
"Hey wait a minute! Shouldn't you do more preparations?!" Atalanta asked.
"True, but it's just getting more and more difficult for you to keep this all a secret, isn't it?"
Atalanta nodded. The Seven of them then made their way to the control room, with Da Vinci separating off from them to monitor the situation.
"Alright then! This is a secret mission to both bring back King Arthur as well as your Master, Kazuki! Get ready!" Da Vinci announced.
The team of Six braced themselves for a Rayshift to this new version of Remnant, using the power of a Fake Chaos Emerald that was provided to Da Vinci by Kazuki's friend Tails. Something that allowed them to go to other worlds, granted, a certain Vampire also lent a helping hand.
"And off you go!" Da Vinci announced, as she started the Rayshift, within a few seconds, the team was gone and now on Remnant, "Good luck…."
Beacon Hallways
"Ah, Ruby, Kazuki, Naoto, Makoto and Noel! Are you all heading into Vale?" Bang asked, approaching the four and the rest of Team RWBY alongside Tao.
"Huh? Oh, hey Bang! Yeah, Weiss said she wanted to go into Vale for Something and she's dragging us with her." Ruby told her fellow Team Leader, ignoring the loud "HEY" thrown her way by said Ice-Queen.
"We're just heading in to see the preparation for the Vytal Festival, Kazuki's idea." Naoto told him
"That, and to see if that damn monkey brain actually listened to me…" Kazuki thought to himself, remembering a certain Monkey Faunas he encountered when he first awoke in this version of Remnant in, to his surprise, Mistral.
"Well, we heard that our friends from Atlas were arriving and we wanted to greet them!" Makoto told Bang excitedly.
"Oh? You have friends who went to Atlas Academy that's arriving too?" Bang asked.
"Yeah, what about you?" Noel asked.
"I am more so coming to keep him out of trouble than actually greet him, he was an old friend and training partner from Ronin-Gai, his name is Kagura Mutsuki." Bang told everyone.
Makoto's excitement seemed to die down at that and she began to look rather annoyed, this did not go unnoticed by Kazuki and Bang.
"I take it you've had previous experiences with him?" Bang asked, only for the Squirrel faunas to stay quiet, he sighed, "I apologize on his behalf." He said, doing a ninja bow.
"Let me guess? He has a God-Awful habit of hitting on women?" Kazuki asked, already knowing the answer.
"I'm afraid so, and he somehow always succeeds…"
"RUBY! Will you come on!? We're going to miss the Bullhead!" Weiss called out to her partner, also altering the rest of them that they had to hurry up.
"So, why're you coming Tao? You don't seem like the kind of person to go into Vale for no reason." Naoto asked the Kaka.
"Oh! Meow wants to try all the tasty food they have!" She responded in her usual excitement, her mouth drooling.
"Why'd I even ask?" Naoto asked, smiling at Tao's antics.
Vale, Docks
"Remind me again why we're spending our Friday afternoon here when we have no classes?" Yang asked in a bored tone.
"Because we're students of Beacon and it is our duty to make the students arriving from other academies feel welcome by giving them a proper one." Weiss explained.
"She wants to spy on them." Blake, Naoto and Kazuki all said in unison, making Weiss freeze.
"Y-You three can't prove that!" She said, pointing at them.
"You're not denying it!" Ruby told her.
"Well, at least she's determined to catch them by surprise." Bang whispered.
"It's not gonna help much since one of our friends actually knows how she fights," Makoto whispered back.
After a few more minutes of walking around the docks, the group eventually came to a shop that had its windows smashed in, with police tape covering it and two detectives standing in front of the mess.
"That's the second dust shop this week," one of the detectives grumbled, "This is getting ridiculous."
"Yeah, and they didn't even take any cash, just all of the dust." The other one said.
"Who even needs this much dust? An army? Are you thinking the White Fang?" the first one asked
"I'm thinking that we don't get paid enough…" the second one said, scratching the back of his head as they walked off.
"Hmph, the White Fang, nothing but a bunch of degenerates." Weiss said, getting a glare from Blake and Kazuki.
"Watch it Ice-Queen, I hate the Fang as much as you do but you'd be surprised at how many of them didn't get a damn choice. It was either that or starve." Kazuki told her,
Weiss turned around to say something but froze when she looked at him, "Don't get me wrong, a lot of Faunas in the White are a bunch of degenerates as you say, but there are two sides to everything, it isn't in Black and White. Honestly, most of them are probably there out of desperation or they're just sick of the mistreatment." Kazuki continued.
"And those who aren't?" Weiss asked, crossing her arms.
"As you said, degenerates, that or full blown psychopaths."
"The White Fang are hardly insane! They're just misguided!" Blake said to them both, causing Weiss to look at her in surprise, and Kazuki to just roll his eyes.
"As I said, not all of them, just some, unfortunately, the small few psychotic extremists tend to hold high positions of power, as with any kind of military, be it official or armed groups." Kazuki said to her, reinforcing his point with a glare that shut down any argument, "and Weiss, remember what I said and don't forget it."
"HEY! STOP THAT FAUNAS!" A crew member from a boat shouted as Monkey Faunas with short yellow hair and tail jumped from the railing to the top of a lamppost.
"You no-good stowaway!" The ship's captain called out.
"Hey! I'm a GREAT stowaway! A no-good stowaway would've gotten caught!" He said, as he was about to throw a banana peel onto a police officer's face, he saw Kazuki, "oh crap."
"SUN! YOU DUMBASS WHAT DID I TELL YOU?!" Kazuki shouted at him, causing everyone to look at him in surprise as he then sped off after him and knocked him off the lamp.
"Ow…." Sun said, getting up only to see Kazuki looking right at him, "oh uh… Hey man! Long time no see! So, how've ya been?" he asked with a nervous smile.
"I thought I told you… that if you wanted to get to Vale early…. TO JUST CALL ME YOU IDIOT! I told you I can fly a ship and that it'd be safer but nooooooo you decided, Hey! I'm just gonna stowaway on a boat and get caught as I'm leaving it!" Kazuki shouted at him, gripping the monkey faunas by the arm and dragging him back to the captain of the ship, "I am deeply sorry for any trouble this jackass has caused and am willing to pay the full price of the tickets and whatever extra if you let him off…"
"Oh uh…. Sure, fine, you can just pay the normal toll…" the ship's captain said, confused by the entire ordeal.
"What… just happened…?" Yang asked, having absolutely no idea how to process what had just happened.
"I have no idea…" Makoto told her.
"Did he say something about flying a ship?" Blake asked, "How does he even know how to do that?"
"I don't think I want to know." Bang added.
"Hey, Makoto is that…?" Noel asked, pointing to a red-headed girl getting off the ship alongside a girl with blue hair and rather huge…. Assets.
"TSUBAKI! MAI!" Makoto called out to the two, catching their attention.
"Makoto? Noel?" The girl, Tsubaki, said, looking in the direction of her friends.
Tsubaki is a young woman with long red hair and green eyes, much like Pyrrha, only Tsubaki does not have her hair tied into a ponytail. She wears a japanese style military uniform with black military boots, on her head she wears a hat that for some reason has a blue eye on it.
"Is that you Noel?!" The other girl, Mai, called out.
Mai is a girl with magenta eyes and blue hair tied by a yellow ribbon into a ponytail that reaches her thighs; she also has hair antennae, two sidelocks that reach to her chest. Her body is quite slender and athletic, with thin limbs and a flat abdomen, her assets are second only to Makoto's. Not that it makes Noel feel any better. She wears lowleg tight-fitting black pants that exposed some skin on her sides, a backless white halter top with red trimming, black symbols, and a big golden zipper piece, maroon fingerless gloves that reach close to her elbows and high-heeled boots. She also has a red cape that goes over all of that, covering her body and stopping people from staring. Except for Ruby who couldn't help but fangirl over the Spear.
Mai's Spear, Gallia Sphyra: Outseal, is a long Red Spear, clear of any markings unlike Gáe Bolg, and was longer than Mai herself. As Kazuki was walking back to the group with Sun, he got a good look at the spear.
"So it's used to fight against immortals huh? Well that makes two weapons to use against Salem… so it can change its direction at will and… only she can use it…. Nevermind then." Kazuki thought to himself.
Makoto, Noel, Tsubaki and Mai all engaged in a group hug, greeting each other and telling them about their personal experiences.
"Hold on, his Semblance can do WHAT?!" Mai asked in surprise.
"Exactly what she said it could." Kazuki said as he approached them, tracing Gallia Sphyra and twirling it.
"There's no way that's fair…"
"Relax, I won't use your weapon against you, simply cause I can't." He told her.
"So you're Kazuki?" Tsubaki asked, walking up to him.
"The one and only." he replied, reaching out his hand for a handshake, "pleasure to meet you."
Tsubaki was slightly taken aback by his politeness, as Makoto had told him about some of his actions towards a certain ginger, "the pleasure's all mine." She said, shaking his hand.
"So, who's this guy?" Yang asked, pointing at Sun.
"Sup, I'm-" "A dumbass" Kazuki interrupted Sun as he was about to introduce himself.
"And a stowaway." Makoto added.
"He also doesn't know when to shut up or mind his own business."
"So mean." Sun said, finally getting a word in and slumping his shoulders down at the slander.
"I'm not wrong am I? The only person who's a bigger idiot than you is Neptune." Kazuki told him.
"Well… I mean, yeah, he's an idiot as well but… I just said as well didn't I?"
"Yep".
"Ah, Weiss, I see you're doing well." Tsubaki said, as she turned around to greet Weiss.
"I see you are also doing well yourself, Tsubaki." Weiss said.
"Is it just me or is there some new tension in the air…?" Yang asked.
"Yeah, Weiss and Tsubaki were rivals back in Atlas." Makoto told her.
"Please tell me it was for Jin's love or something like that." Kazuki whispered.
"Among other things." She whispered back as the three started to laugh.
"Hey! Look at that guy's sword! It's bigger than Ragna's!" Ruby said, pointing to a man with black hair and a large sword.
"Is that Kagura?" Noel asked.
Bang let out a loud sigh, "yes it is."
Kagura is a rather tall, broad chested, young man. He wears a white, robe-like shirt with long sleeves that is open just above his abdomen; two black belts are fastened on the sleeves. Kagura wears wrist wraps that cover his palm to his elbow, two metal cuffs sit above the wraps on his wrists. On the lower half of his shirt, two brown belts are fashioned, below this, a large and loose brown belt hangs, it has a huge golden buckle. Over his shirt, he wears a large, black cape that is separated into three individual cloves. The interior of the cape is a deep crimson red, while the exterior is decorated with a golden insignia on the outer cloves; the cape is held onto Kagura's body via a light brown strap. He wears plain black pants and light brown shoes with metal toe-caps.
His sword is a rather large black zweihander with red lines going from the base of the blade to the top of it. Its grip is also wrapped in something similar to his wrist wraps.
"KAGURA! OVER HERE!" Bang called out to him.
Kagura looked around to try and spot Bang after hearing him, upon spotting his friend, he jumps off of the boat, similar to Sun, and landed directly on the boardwalk, winking at a few girls who proceeded to fangirl, before finally walking over.
"Hey there, Bang." Kagura greeted, a smirk adoring his face.
"Always the show-off I see." Bang remarked.
"Hey, no need to be so cold, it's been a while since we saw each other."
"Even so, it is good to see you again Kagura" Bang said, only to realise he was being completely ignored by Kagura as he was eyeing Noel and Team RWBY, "Wait.. where did Tao go?" He asked himself.
"And just what have my eyes been blessed with today?" Kagura thought to himself.
"Ah, these are my friends, Noel from Team RJNN and Team RWBY."
"Hello, I'm Blake." Blake introduced herself.
"Hmm, nice slim and sturdy thighs, good waist. Sharp yellow eyes with a bow, possibly a cat faunas, nice bonus if she is. Good bust as well. Overall, I'd give her a rating of…. B." Kagura thought as he analyzed Blakes assets.
"I'm Weiss Schnee, and You are Kagura Mutsuki, current heir of the Mutsuki family?" Weiss said.
"That's right." Kagura said, "has a pristine and elegant look about her. Heiress to the schnee dust company so I should probably be careful with how I address her. Thighs and waist are slim and stable so it's a nice quality. Her bust is moderate so I shouldn't try to get all grabby.. Overall, a solid B as well."
"Sup, name's Yang." Yang introduced herself with a smirk.
"Nice and thick thighs, very well-endowed bust. Great waist figure. Looks like a brawler so I need to watch myself or she'll launch me pretty far. But she also looks like the adventurous type. I'd give her a solid A." Kagura analyzed.
At this point, Tsubaki, Mai, Makoto and Bang sighed loudly, just as Kagura was about to speak to Ruby, Kazuki interjected himself into the conversation.
"Hey there, name's Kazuki, I'm Ruby and Yang's, adopted, brother!" Despite his friendly smile, there was absolutely nothing but malice and killing intent behind it. This had caused everyone to visibly sweatdrop as he wasn't exactly hiding it.
"R-right, nice to meet you too." Kagura greeted nervously.
"Kagura, I've been looking for you all over the ship and I see you have somehow already made it onto someone's hit list by womanizing a man's sisters." A stern male voice said, gripping Kagura's shoulder who appeared even more nervous than before.
"Crap" Kagura thought, "Everyone, this is Hibiki Kohaku, a member of my team and a shadow that constantly looms over my shoulders." He said, introducing Hibiki.
Hibiki is a young man of Asian descent with small, delicate, and feminine features, earning him the moniker of Pretty Boy. He has black hair in a styled bowl cut that reaches his cheekbones, and he stands only a few inches shorter than Kagura. His uniform is actually rather similar to the clothing that Jin wears as it was made by the same people, only it's a tight fitting jacket and doesn't have the detached sleeves that Jin's clothes do. The uniform consists of a small red tie over the standard blue jacket with yellow trim, accompanied by white gloves.
"Maybe if you spent less time womanizing then I wouldn't have to loom over your shoulders so much. I apologize for any inconvenience he has caused you." Hibiki said.
"Oh well, he actually wasn't any problem for us at all." Ruby told him.
"For now anyway." Makoto and Kazuki both thought.
"So, Tsubaki, is that your team leader?" Noel asked
"Yes, he's a bit of a handful but he is an excellent leader." She explained.
"What's your team called?" Bang asked.
"It's called Team Comet (KKMT)! The best team of first years in Atlas!" Mai said, excitedly.
"Seriously?! HOW can you eat so much?!" Naoto asked exasperatedly as he walked back to the group alongside Tao.
"Where the fu- I mean hell did you two go?" Kazuki asked, stopping himself from cursing in front of Ruby.
"We're at the docks, which reeks of fish, with someone who eats as a hobby, where do you think?"
"Nevermind then."
By this point everyone had gone to introduce Team KKMT to Naoto and Tao, all except for Kagura, who instead, walked up to Makoto.
"Sorry for ignoring you Makoto-Baby, but I just had to introduce myself to all your new friends." Kagura said to Makoto as everyone else was with Naoto and Tao.
Makoto simply rolled her eyes at him, not at all interested and tried to ignore him.
"Aw come on babe, don't give me the cold shoulder, did that special night together mean nothing?" Kagura teased.
Makoto became visibly flustered, "T-THAT NEVER HAPPENED!" She proceeded to punch him in the gut.
"OW! Damn, you still pack a punch too…" Kagura said, trying to stand back up.
Kazuki had overheard Makoto and walked over, placing a hand on Kagura's shoulder and helped him up, when he got up however, "So… what's this I hear about a Special Night?" Kazuki was practically oozing killing intent, if they were in a forest, not even the Grimm would approach.
"K-Kazuki! I-It's not what you think it's-" Makoto tried to clear up the misunderstanding but kept on stuttering.
"Y-Yeah! J-just teasing her, ya know?" Kagura visibly sweat-dropped.
"Really? Oh my! Forgive me for misunderstanding! I apologize! For a second I thought you were serious about that!" Kazkui said to him, though was very clearly still pissed, "Because I honestly find it hard to believe that ANYONE would dump and/or cheat on someone as amazing as Makoto! She's strong, understanding, caring and honestly, pretty damn cute! Honestly my mistake."
Kazuki, in his anger(?) probably hadn't realized what he was saying and Makoto only became more flustered with each compliment, "W-What?! D-Does he actually mean all of that?!"
Kagura laughed nervously, "A-And what would you do if, say… I w-wasn't kidding?" He sweatdropped as Kazuki only seemed to grin evilly.
"Well… you'd never be able to please a woman ever again." He said, tracing Clarent to show exactly what he meant by that.
Kagura had only seemed to become even more nervous, making a mental note to not piss Kazuki off in any way. Kazuki then seemed to have snapped out of his little fit when he heard Yang giggling like a child. Looking back over he saw her trying her best to not fall over laughing, he then looked back to a red-faced Makoto and finally realized what he said and became flustered himself.
"Uh, I-Uh…. GOTTA GO!" He said as he sped off in the opposite direction away from the group.
"H-Hey! Wait! Kazuki!" Makoto called after him and begane chasing him.
"Come on, we have GOT to see how this ends!" Yang said as she and Ruby sped off after the two.
"Well… might as well." Blake said.
The group then chased after both Kazuki and Makoto only to then find that Makoto had fallen on top of a ginger haired girl and had lost Kazuki.
"I'm SO sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going! Are you ok?!" Makoto apologized to the girl, getting off her, though the girl was still on the ground for some reason.
The girl in question had short, rather curly orange hair that came down to her chin with a small cowlick on top, and she wears a pink bow on the back of her head. She also has bright green eyes, light skin, and freckles. She has on an off white old-fashioned styled off the shoulder blouse with frill detailed trim and frill flared cuffs that half cover her hands alongside copper button detailing on the lower parts of her sleeves. She also sports a short gray pinafore dress with golden trim on the hem alongside four light green stalagmite styled stripes on the lower half of the dress, two on the front and two on the back, accompanied by two matching colored circles above the tips that had a stripe that ran around her waistline, with golden outlines, and a detachable black and light green collar. She also wears a pair of black thigh-high leg pieces that seem like they're attached to black shoes. The leg pieces had a single green stripe up the sides.
"I'm fine, thank you for asking!" The girl answered, not realizing she's on the ground.
"Um, you're still on the ground." Naoto pointed out.
The girl looked around before looking back at the group, "So I am!" She said as she picks herself up, "My name is Penny. It's a pleasure to meet you all!"
"Hi, I'm Ruby!"
"Weiss."
"Blake."
"Didi you hit your head when you fell down or something?" Yang asked, only to get elbowed by both Naoto and Blake, "Ow, I mean, sup, I'm Yang.
"Bang Shishigami."
"I'm Noel, nice to meet you!"
"Makoto, and again, sorry for knocking you over!"
"Name's Kagura, this is Hibiki, Tsubaki and Mai." Kagura said, introducing his team.
"It's a pleasure to meet you!" Penny said, again.
"You already said that." Weiss told her.
Penny paused before focusing again, "So I did!"
"Well.. I lost Kazuki, I guess now we can head back to Beacon." Makoto said.
"Yeah, I can't wait to show you around Tsubaki, Mai!" Noel said cheerfully.
As the group were leaving, Ruby turned around and faced Penny again, "See you around, friend!"
"That girl was really weird." Yang said.
"No kidding." Naoto added.
In practically an instant, Penny had appeared before the group, "What did you call me?" She asked.
"Oh! I'm sorry I didn't-" "Not you, YOU!" Penny had interrupted Yang and leaned in towards Ruby.
"Uh, wha?" Ruby asked, confused.
"You called me friend. Am I really your friend?" the ginger girl asked, a concerned look on her face.
"Uh…" Ruby looked past Penny to see her team shaking their heads no while Noel, Makoto, Bang and Naoto all gave her a thumbs up, "Sure!" She answered, causing all of Team RWBY, except herself of course, to fall over.
Tekkadan Dorm
Kazuma was simply minding his own business inside of his team's dorm room, studying up on the rarer types of Grimm that Remnant has to offer. He had asked Professor Port if there were any books on the matter only for the Professor to pull out a binder that he seemingly made himself, his response to Kazuma's surprised look at the time was, "Inside are all the Rare types of Grimm I have encountered during my days as a huntsmen, since they're so rare you're unlikely to find a book in the library, so have this and take good care of it, please return it when you are done with it and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. It pleases me that there is a student who has taken such an interest in Grimm!" and so, here he was. One Grimm that caught his interest was one that had the body of Horse with its rider being infused into it, giving it two bodies. The horse-shaped one, and the more humanoid one, according to the Port's notes, it was called a Nuckleeve.
It was a rather peaceful evening for Kazuma, that was until Kazuki came bursting through the door.
"What the fuck!?" Kazuma shouted in surprise, almost launching the binder into the air.
Upon looking at Kazuki, Kazuma saw that his face was as red as a tomato, he was also sweating a lot. Kazuki in turn, looked at Kazuma in surprise, "That's the first time I've ever heard you swear…" He pointed out.
"Yes well, I try my best not to. But I seem to slip up only whenever my team leader comes bursting through the door with his face looking like it was painted red in one of Nora's pranks and his body being as wet as though he ran a 50 mile marathon." Kazuma said to him, sarcasm laced in his voice.
"First off, 50 miles is nothing, second off, is my face really THAT red?" Kazuki asked.
"That's the part that you're more concerned about? The 50 miles?"
"... shush…"
"Alright, What the hell happened in Vale for you to be THIS embarrassed?" The artificial human asked.
"N-nothing…" Kazuki said, looking away from his teammate.
Kazuma in return only stared at him through his closed eyes and bangs that covered them. A few seconds of silence later and Kazuki let out an exasperated sigh.
"Okay fine! I'll talk!" He shouted.
"Finally."
"Ok so… I MAY or MAY NOT have accidentally made how I feel about Makoto clear right in front of her." Kazuki admitted, looking away again.
"...took you long enough." Kazuma deadpanned.
"THE HELL'S THAN MEAN?!" Kazuki demanded, snapping his head back to face Kazuma.
"Well, when we saw the two of you sleeping together-" "WE WHAT?!" Kazuki interrupted with his face becoming as red as a tomato yet again.
"Hm? You… didn't know?" Kazuma asked.
"NO I DIDN'T KNOW!"
"Well… you were knocked out so I guess it makes sense that you wouldn't know. Maybe you called out for her in your sleep? Well that or she ended up being too tired and fell asleep herself… no, that wouldn't make any sense since you were using her lap as a pillow." Kazuma thought aloud.
Kazuki on the other hand, "I… we... HUH?! I WHAT?!" was internally freaking out, "Wait you said we saw… Who else saw…?"
"Everyone."
"Oh God just kill me again…"
Kazuma let out a small chuckle at his Leader's current predicament.
"You're gonna need to lend me a hand…" Kazuki told him.
"Not sure I'm the best person when it comes to dating advice," Kazuma replied.
"That's not what I meant." Kazuki told him, confusing Kazuma.
"Huh?"
"I need you to help me make her hate me." Kazuki told his team member, shocking him.
"What?! Why?"
"Because I won't be here forever Kazuma. I'm only here until I've dealt with some big threat. I have a good idea as to what that threat is, but once it's been dealt with, I'm gone. Back to being dead." Kazuki explained, "I'd rather she doesn't have to grieve my death if she feels the same way about me… I've already had to put others through that before… I don't wanna do it again."
"I'm assuming you want me to help make Ruby and Yang hate you too?" Kazuma asked, receiving a nod from Kazuki as an answer, "No."
"What?! But-!" "I said no.. you're better off just telling them about it, because I'm not going to help you lie to them." Kazuma told him, his tone indicating that he wouldn't budge from his decision.
Kazuki only looked at his teammate in surprise before looking away again, "fine… I have an idea on how to do it myself anyway…" He said, leaving the room.
"Hey! Kazuki, get back here!" Kazuma called out, only for his calls to fall on deaf ears.
Unbeknownst to the two of them however, was Ragna who had heard every word of what was said, "Threat? What the hell is he talking about… and he's already…. Dead? Then how the hell is he here?!"
Team RJNN Dorm
"And this is our dorm!" Makoto said, as she led Team KMMT to Team RJNN's dorm.
"Well, I can certainly tell which bed belongs to Noel." Tsuabki said as she looked over towards a bed that was filled with Stuffed animal plushies.
"Not bad, pretty spacey, even if there's four beds." Kagura said, looking around.
"Yeah, but that side looks really plain." Mai stated, looking over at the far right side of the room.
"Oh, that side belongs to Ragna, our team's leader." Noel told them.
"Why's it so…. Empty?" Tsubaki asked.
"Well, that's because Ragna travelled around a lot with his Master before he joined Beacon, he still won't tell us who his master is though." Makoto explained.
"And the one on the far left?" Kagura asked.
"That's Jin's. Before Initiation, Ragna and Jin almost got into a fight when they first spotted each other so we decided it'd be best if the two had their beds on the opposite ends of the room from each other." Noel told them.
"Jinny almost got into a fight before the first day? That's a surprise!" Kagura said.
"No doubt Ragna started it, right?" Tsubaki asked.
"Um… no we think Jin might have started it, he always seems to be glaring at Ragna for some reason and not only that but….." Noel started.
"One time Jin almost froze Ragna in the cafeteria because he said something about the moon." Makoto added.
"That seems… oddly random for him." Mai said.
"Yeah, we don't quite get what the deal is between the two of them and we've tried getting them to talk about it before but they just shut the idea down immediately, one of the few times they actually agree with each other on something." Makoto told them.
"Actually, where is Ragna?" Noel asked.
"Probably sleeping on a tree or in the training rooms." Everyone turned to the dorm's entrance and spotted Jin, who looked rather upset at Kagura, no questions as to why.
"Hey there Jinny!" Kagura greeted.
"I thought I told you to stop calling me that." Jin told him with a scowl.
"Ah, Jin! It's good to see you again!" Tsubaki greeted happily.
"A pleasure seeing you again, Mr. Kisaragi." Hibiki said.
"It's good to see you again too, Tsubaki. And Hibiki, I thought I said that you didn't need to act so formal, I may be the Kisaragi heir but here, I'm just a student." Jin replied.
"Hey, Makoto, do you think Kazuki's in his dorm?" Noel whispered to her friend.
Makoto looked uneasy at the mention of Kazuki's name, but shook herself out of her thoughts before looking out of her dorm and at Tekkadan's, "m-maybe… I need an answer from him and I'm going to get it…" She said to herself, leaving her dorm and walking over to Tekkadan's.
Upon reaching the dorm, she knocked on the door and awaited an answer. A few seconds later, Kazuma opened the door and greeted her.
"Oh, Makoto. Is everything alright?" He asked.
"Y-yeah… have you seen Kazuki anywhere?" She asked him.
"...I'm afraid you missed him, he left about an hour ago." She told him.
"Oh… do you know where he went?"
"I'm afraid not, he didn't say where he was going, he just ran off. He did tell me about what happened in Vale though." He told her.
"H-He did!?" She asked, surprised.
"Yes, though if you want an answer from him then you'll have to wait, I'll send you a message for when he gets back… if he comes back anyway…" Kazuma told her, muttering the last part to himself.
"Alright… thanks!" She thanked him and made her way back to her team's dorm, only to freak out as Noel had made the amazing suggestion that she cook for everyone, with only Mai being excited.
Beacon Courtyard, Secluded area
Ragna stabbed Aramasa into the wall beside Kazuki's head, glaring at the faunas in anger. Kazuki, in return, had several blades and guns aimed at Ragna and gave a glare of his own.
"Alright, you've got some explaining to do, so you better start talking!" Ragna demanded.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Kazuki told him.
"Don't play fucking dumb with me, I heard it all." The reaper said, gaining a shocked look from Kazuki, "About Makoto, Ruby and Yang, about you actually being dead and only being alive to deal with some threat. Start talking. Now."
Kazuki only sighed and clicked his tongue, "tch, fine. Yeah, I'm actually dead, but no I'm not a ghost so don't go pissing yourself," he said with a smirk with Ranga looking surprised, before going back to giving a glare, "As for the threat. I don't know what it is but I have a good idea and it starts with a T." He told him, with Ragna only nodding as the reaper knew what the T stood for.
"Again, it's only a guess, other than that, I have no idea, Terumi's just the likely suspect." Kazuki continued, "Well… him, Salem and Izanami but he's probably the bigger of the three." he thought to himself.
Ragna removed his word from the wall and Kazuki let the weapons dissipate into blue light.
"Can I go now?" Kazuki asked.
"One more thing, stop fucking around." Ragna told him.
"Huh?"
"I'm not blind. It doesn't take a genius to see that Ruby, Yang and Makoto all care for you and you for them. Even IF you somehow manage to make them hate you, that isn't gonna make your passing any lighter on them. If anything, it'll make it WORSE." Ragna told Kazuki, shocking him, "Because when you go back to being dead, in their eyes, you would've died thinking they hated you. And we both know that they never will."
Kazuki only looked down, contemplating what he was just told, he then looked up, "even if I'm the infamous White Fang Killer?"
Ranga looked back at him, "So it was you huh? Tell me.. Do you actually kill everyone in those camps?"
"No, I can tell who was stubborn and who was scared shitless, that and who directly killed any innocents. I'm not bloodthirsty, even then, I give four chances, you kill five innocent people and you're gone." Kazuki explained.
"Why four?"
"One life for each limb."
"That's pretty sadistic."
"Maybe… but… My first master had a bad habit of sparing even the most vile bastards alive… I guess he rubbed off on me a little… my second master would break their bones before killing them… I sorta went for an inbetween." Kazuki told him.
"Let them feel a little bit of the pain the innocent's family and friends felt then?" Ragna asked, trying to interpret why Kazuki did that.
"Yep. The only people who don't get any chances are psychopaths, Rapists, Pedophiles and Human and Faunas traffickers."
"Have you ever encountered any of that last one?"
"Yeah, in Mistral… it was… disgusting…" Kazuki clenched his fist in anger, "some of them were only as old as Ruby for fucks sake! I went around the complex too and…." He shivered.
"Stop… I think I have an idea as to what you found…" Ragna said.
"Yeah… What makes it worse was that a lot of those Faunas were labeled as Traitors by the White Fang, meaning that the White Fang sold out their own!"
"That's fucked."
"No kidding…"
"Back to what I said before though," Ragna started, "Don't try to pull whatever crap you're going to to make those three hate you. I guess just do what Kazuma said and be honest with them." Ranga told him, starting to walk away, "Oh yeah… and I'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious for you, help you out a little with this threat you were brought back to deal with."
"Yeah… and thanks… Ragna the Bloodedge." Kazuki said as a smirk adorned his face.
"Hold on, 'Bloodedge'? Well, Master did say that my sword and jacket used to be his.. Heh, 'Ragna the Bloodedge' huh? Has a nice ring to it." Ragna thought to himself, with his own smirk appearing on his face.
Team RWBY Dorm
"Hey Weiss, you ok?" Ruby asked her partner after noticing she looked like she was deep in thought.
"Huh? Oh, yeah, just thinking back to what Kazuki said about the White Fang is all…" Yang and Blake both looked over at their teammate, "and I guess… he has a point, but I still don't think I'll ever be able to see the White Fang the same way he does…" the Heiress explained.
"Why's that?" Yang asked
"Well… it's a bit personal but back in Atlas when I was 14 I was… almost kidnapped by a bunch of faunas who wanted to join the white fang." Weiss admitted, shocking her team.
"What happened?!" Ruby asked.
"Well…" Weiss smiled, "Jin happened. He had saved me." She explained.
Flashback
"LET ME GO!" A young Weiss demanded, fear laced in her voice.
"Oh shut it brat! When we bring you to the Fang, they'll be sure to let us in!" A bat faunas told her.
Weiss had wandered off away from the Schnee Manor when the Kisaragi Family had come to talk business with her father, while she was out, a bunch of faunas ambushed her and took her captive with a bear faunas carrying her.
"Just another hour or two and we'll be there." A canine faunas said.
(Cue: 'BlazBlue Chronophantasma OST: Lust Sin II')
"Hold it right there." A young voice called out to them.
Turning around, the small trio of Faunas and Weiss saw a young boy with blonde hair and a sword, this was a younger Jin Kisaragi.
"And what are you gonna do, brat?" The bat faunas demanded.
"Just hand her over and save yourselves the trouble, I'd rather not waste my semblance on trash like yourselves." Jin said with a bored look.
"What'd you say!?" The Bear Faunas demanded as he put down Weiss, who was tied up, beside a tree.
"Are you deaf?" Jin asked.
"That's it! You're dead kid!" The Canine faunas shouted as he pulled out two small knives and charged at the young Kisaragi Heir.
"That's Jin Kisaragi… what's he doing?!" Weiss thought in a panic, fearing for the young Kisaragi's life.
"Idiot." Jin muttered, as he readied Yukianasa
"DIE!" The Canine Faunas stabbed at Jin only for the young boy to dodge with ease and cut his arm with Yukianasa, encasing the Faunas' arm in ice, "WHAT THE-?!" He didn't get to finish as Jin then cut his entire body with several slashes, completely encasing the Faunas.
"Who's next?" Jin asked, his attitude having not changed at all as he stared down the Bat and Bear Faunas.
"Hold on, that's the Kisaragi Heir! This is perfect! If we bring both the Schnee and Kisaragi Heirs then we'll be immediately made Captains!" The Bear faunas said excitedly, his desires blinding him to the true danger the young Yukianasa wielder truly posed to him and his friend.
Jin just stared at the Faunas with surprise on his face, "You're dumber than you look." He said.
"Oh yeah? We'll see who's dumb when you're six feet under!" The bear faunas said, charging at Jin alongside the Bat faunas who took to the air.
The bear faunas sent several powerful punches at the young Kisaragi, hoping to immediately shatter his aura and knock him out, only for Jin to either dodge or block with ease. The Bat Faunas, seeing this, took out two pistols loaded with fire dust rounds and shot them at Jin. Upon noticing it, Jin slashed at the bear faunas who jumped back from the blade, not wanting to end up like his canine friend. The rounds had hit their mark and exploded, sending up ash from the explosions and snow. Both Faunas laughed, thinking they had taken the young boy down while Weiss looked absolutely terrified.
"No! Jin! He's… he can't be dead… right?" She thought to herself.
The laughter soon came to a stop however as the two Faunas noticed an ice wall that had been erected in front of Jin, with two large dents in it made from the fire dust rounds. Instantly, the wall shattered and several shards of ice were sent flying in the direction of the two Faunas who, still shocked, were unable to completely dodge the incoming projectiles.
"SHIT!" The bat faunas shouted as some of the ice shards had hit his wings, freezing them and therefore, grounding him.
"Perhaps next time you'll know to not underestimate an opponent because of their age or size." Jin's voice was heard from behind the Bat Faunas who turned around, shocked to see that the young Kisaragi had gotten behind him so quickly.
"MAX!" The Bear Faunas called out as Jin cut across the Bat Faunas' body, now known as Max, encasing him in ice.
Jin's eyes made their way to the bear faunas and were cold and emotionless. Not wanting to end up like his friends, the Bear faunas picked up Weiss and ran with Jin giving chase.
"TOO SLOW BRAT!" The faunas called out, only for his face to morph into one of shock and terror when he saw Jin riding on a flying ice-blade, catching up to him easily.
"Would you like to repeat that?" Jin Asked as he jumped off the Ice-Blade that managed to hit the Faunas in the back.
The Ice-Blade shattered upon impact, covering a large amount of the Faunas' back in ice and forcing him to drop Weiss.
"OW!" Weiss exclaimed as her head smacked off the ground, thankfully, she had an aura so the damage was minimal.
Jin walked calmly over to the faunas, holding Yukiana's sheath in one hand and the blade itself in the other, his face displaying no emotion, something that terrified the bear faunas to no end.
"B-back off! Get away from me!" He pleaded, only for his pleas to be completely ignored.
"Freeze" Jin uttered as he stabbed Yukianasa into the ground, causing it to freeze and as it reached the faunas, freezing him too. The ice on his back also began to grow in size. After a few seconds, the Bear Faunas was completely encased in ice.
"So much wasted movement…" Jin muttered to himself, referring to the Bear Faunas' earlier attempts to bring him down.
(End Song)
Jin walked over to Weiss and cut the rope that had her tied up. Sheathing Yukianas, he put it down as he checked Weiss for any wounds. Weiss flinched at the sudden contact but tried not to move too much.
"Doesn't seem to be any wounds or anything, not even on your head even though that faunas dropped you…" Jin muttered, "Are you ok now, however?" He asked Weiss, looking her in the eyes.
"Y-yes, I'm fine… Did my father send you after me?" She asked.
"No, I simply noticed you had gone missing. At first I ignored it but then I heard you scream when they first took you, so I made my way over here to see what had happened." Jin explained.
"Alright well… What do you want?" Weiss asked.
"What?" Jin asked, confused.
"Well, you saved me didn't you? Surely you want a reward of some kind?"
"Not at all. I simply did what was right." Jin said, his facial expression not changing as he stood up. "Well let's get going, before more White Fang wannabes show up."
As the two made their way back to the Schnee Manor, Weiss couldn't help but be suspicious of Jin, she was grateful he saved her of course, but she wanted to know why.
"Why did you save me?" She asked out of nowhere, causing Jin to stop and look at her, confused.
"What do you mean? You were in danger and needed saving." He told her with a blank expression.
"Wha.. surely you're just being modest right? I'm the current heir of the Schnee Dust Company so surely you saved me to get something out of it." She said, only to shrink when she saw Jin become annoyed.
"That's what you think? Well sorry to say but I couldn't care less who or what you were," He told her, shocking her, "It wouldn't matter if you were some random person off the street or a faunas, if you're in need of saving then it's the right thing to save you."
Weiss couldn't help but be surprised by his answer. It didn't matter who she was to him, he didn't care. Normally she'd be annoyed if someone didn't know or care who she was but with Jin.. she liked it, she didn't know why and she'd never tell anyone that. Eventually, they had made their way back to the Schnee Manor where Weiss' Father, Jacques Schnee, had offered Jin anything he wanted as a thank you for saving his daughter, even going so far as to offer Weiss' hand in marriage to him.
"Your gifts are unneeded, she was simply in danger and I saved her. Rewards such as money or other things should hardly be any motivation to do the right thing. While Huntsmen and Huntresses get paid to save people, that's how they make a living. But that money shouldn't be a motivation, keep your rewards." Jin said to the man who was taken aback by his response, "And it's unwise to just offer Weiss' hand in marriage to anyone who saves her, if anything, let her choose herself." And with that, he left, though that last comment did cause Jacques to scowl a little.
Present
"Weiss, I had no idea." Ruby said.
"Hold on! Your father almost made you MARRY Jin?!" Yang asked, trying to hold in a laugh.
"Y-Yes.. And that's why I'll always have a hard time trusting Faunas… granted, Makoto, Tao and Kazuki have definitely earned my trust… well… Kazuki MOSTLY earned it… there's something fishy about him," Blake nodded at that, "but that's why… I am trying.. I really am but it's hard when you get kidnapped by a group that turned to terrorism… I still don't understand why they did that though…" Weiss said.
"Maybe we were just tired of being pushed around…" Blake muttered to herself, only…
"Wait… what?" Yang asked, as she had been sitting beside Blake.
Blake looked up at Yang in shock, her eyes widened upon realizing she had been heard.
"Blake… What did you just say…?" Weiss asked her this time, looking shocked herself.
"I…" Blake started, only to instead quickly run out of her team's dorm.
"WAIT! BLAAAAKE!" Yang called out.
"She was…." Weiss started, now trying to deal with the realization that one of her teammates was a member of the White Fang.
Beacon Courtyard
After accidentally telling her team that she was a member of the White Fang, Blake ran. She ran from her team, afraid of how they'd react and currently sits down by the statue in Beacon's Courtyard. Sighing, she undoes the bow she wears on her head, revealing cat ears. She remembers what Kazuki had said about the White Fang, and what Weiss said about her past. She was definitely glad that Weiss was slowly bettering her views but that doesn't mean she's ready to face her. And Kazuki… despite everything that's happened and everything he's done, he's still a mystery to her.
"I knew you'd look better without the bow." Blake turned around and looked up at the statue and saw Sun, the Monkey Faunas from before.
"I was wondering how long it'd take for you to stop hiding." The two then looked across and saw Kazuki.
"What are you two doing here?" She asked them, mostly asking Kazuki.
"I was just wandering around honestly, Beacon's pretty cool." Sun answered, placing his hand behind his back as he jumped down from the statute.
"I… just needed some time alone to think… Kazuma wasn't exactly… helpful.." Kazuki told her a half-lie. He knew she'd tell her team but was unsure if she'd still run.
"About earlier in Vale?" Blake asked.
Kazuki sighed, "yep. So, what now?" He asked, confusing her.
"What do you mean?" She asked him.
"I mean what are you going to do? Are you going to go back and explain things to them.. Or are you going to run? Afraid of what might happen." He explained.
"I…" Blake wanted to answer but was unsure.
"Well… if you need time to think about it then, we can head to my place in Vale." Kazuki told her.
"Hold on, you have a house?" Sun asked.
"Yeah, though it was mostly as a thank you cause I saved the Landlord from a bunch of assholes." Kazuki told them.
Blake was definitely surprised to hear that. She didn't expect Kazuki to actually live anywhere outside of Beacon's dorms. Deciding it was better than constantly running, she agreed, "alright.. I'll follow you."
"Alright, and if you're ready to talk, just tell us."
Vale, Kazuki's "House"
"Welcome to my humble abode." Kazuki said as he led Sun and Blake into his apartment.
The apartment was plain looking, with no decoration of any sort in sight. Looking to their left, there was a single bed that was made neatly and looked as though it hadn't been used at all in several months. There was a single T.V. and a few games, both console games and board games in the room. From the entrance, the hallway split into three, straight ahead was the kitchen, to the right was the bathroom and to the left was, of course, the bedroom.
"Don't mean to sound mean but… this place looks kinda… plain." Sun said.
"Nah, it's fine, I never really use the place anyway, but the landlord insisted that I take it." Kazuki said, scratching the back of his head, "Well… get comfortable I guess, we might have to stay the night."
Blake looked around the bedroom more, it was then she noticed a strange necklace. The necklace was silver in color and had what looked like some kind of serpent on it. The serpent had what appeared to be a beard and had four legs, "what's this?" Blake asked aloud, picking it up. Next to it was another necklace with some strange amulet placed and another, it was a heart-locket.
"Hm? Oh Shit! This is where I left them?!" Kazuki said, with shock and relief in his voice.
"What are they?" Blake asked.
"Well the one you're holding, that something my second master's wife had made for me, I don't know why she made it but she said to think of it as an early birthday gift. The one with the orange amulet was something that was given to me by a man who had helped my sister out before we were reunited. And that last one… it has a picture of me and my sister…" Kazuki smiled, "She forced me to take a picture with her to put into it… that was a few weeks before I...before she died…." he finished.
Blake and Sun looked at the locket and back at him, Blake couldn't help but feel sorry for him, even if there was something about him that was strange.
"I really freaked out when I thought I lost them…. Turns out my dumbass just left them here!" he laughed.
Beacon Hallways, the next day
Naoto was walking along the hallways with Ragna, Noel and Makoto. They were talking about their teams.
Ragna had thrown nothing but slander at Jin for being a loner while Naoto called Kazuki battle hungry. That mostly had to do with the fact that when he had caught Kazuki sparring against Kazuma, despite bleeding from a few cuts from Kazuma's Butterfly knives, he still had a smile on his face. This had happened a week ago.
"And then-huh?" Naoto stopped as he saw Team RWBY, minus Blake, looking around with concerned looks on their faces.
"Hey!" Ragna called over to them.
"Oh, hey Ragna." Ruby said, sounding a little depressed.
"What's going on? Where's Blake?" Makoto asked.
"That's the thing, we don't know." Yang said, sounding worried and irritated.
"Wait, she's gone too?" Naoto asked.
"Too"? Weiss asked him.
"Yeah, Kazuki's been missing since yesterday." He told them, causing Makoto to look worried.
"That idiot… What's he planning?" Ragna thought to himself, thinking back on the conversation he had with Kazuki yesterday.
"Well…. Maybe we can look for them together!" Ruby suggested.
"So then, do we split up into teams?" Yang asked.
"Yeah, I have an idea." Naoto started, getting everyone's attention, "I'll go with Makoto and Ruby, we'll search around the docks. Ragna will go with Weiss and Noel will go with Yang."
"That seems uneven, then again we're an uneven amount of people."
"What about Kazuma?" Weiss asked, not okay with the idea of teaming up with Ragna.
"He's talking with Professor Port about Grimm, and while it could help, I have a feeling it'll be even worse if we end up alerting the Professors as to what's going on." Naoto explained.
"What's the matter Weiss?" Yang asked, seeing how uncomfortable she seemed.
"She probably doesn't want to team up with me." Ragna said, causing Weiss to look away, "fine, I'll swap with Noel then and go with Yang."
"Alright, sounds like a plan, let's go!" Ruby exclaimed as the group made their way to the bullheads that went into Vale.
Vale, Kazuki's Apartment
"So… you two want to know more about me?" Blake asked. The Faunas tro had spent the night in Kazuki's apartment, with Blake mostly being silent. Kazuki and Sun decided to sleep on the roof of the building, much to Sun's disappointment but he knew not to annoy Kazuki, while Blake slept in the bed.
"Finally, a whole night of me sleeping on the roof and an eerily quiet breakfast later, she finally talks." Sun said.
"Sun." Kazuki called him out, smacking him on the head.
"Ow, Sorry."
"Sun, are you familiar with the White Fang?" Blake asked.
"Of course I am. What faunas doesn't know about them? They're a bunch of creeps who act holier than thou to get what they want by using force." Sun said.
"And then people like Taurus kill innocent lives for simply being born a human." Kazuki added.
"I… used to be a member of the White Fang." Blake said, shocking Sun while Kazuki looked indifferent.
"You were a member of the White Fang?" Sun asked, still shocked.
"Yeah, I was a member my whole life actually. After the Great War, the White Fang were created, they were meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between humans and faunas. Despite promoting peace, equality and fairness, the faunas still had to endure so much discrimination. Humanity still treated us as second class citizens and the White Fang was supposed to be a voice for the faunas. I was there at the beginning at every protest, every rally and every boycott. I really thought we were making a difference, but that was just youthful optimism. Then, five years ago, the leader of the White Fang stepped down and a new one took his place with a new way of thinking." Blake explained.
"Sienna Kahn." Kazuki said aloud, causing Blake to look at him in surprise, "What? I do my research on individuals, rest assured, unlike Taurus, Sienna is willing to talk about peace eventually."
"Right… well," Blake continued, "Then instead of peaceful protests it was organized attacks. Setting fires to shops that wouldn't serve faunas, and hijacking cargo transports that used faunas slave labour."
"And let me guess, the violence was working?" Kazuki asked, receiving a nod from Blake.
"Yes, and that's the part that scares me. We weren't being treated fairly for equality but out of fear. After realizing how destructive it had become. I left, I ran and I came to Beacon." She finished explaining.
"Well, I don't see anything wrong with hijacking things using slave labour… but the senseless killing… It makes my blood boil. Don't get me wrong, I can see why they use violence, but using nothing BUT violence? That's what ticks me off… though I have noticed that quite a few faunas are trying the peaceful route again." Kazuki said, voicing his thoughts.
"Yeah, I was honestly surprised and… happy that they were trying the peaceful way…" Blake said.
"But all that does is put them in danger."
"Huh? What do you mean?" Blake asked.
"Hey, are you talking about… that?" Sun asked.
"Yes...that's exactly what I'm talking about." Kazuki said.
"What's that?" Blake asked.
"Blake… I don't know how to say this but…" Sun started.
"The White Fang in Mistral are outright insane. I came across a place that was SELLING faunas to a bunch of snot-nosed nobles." Kazuki started explaining.
"But.. What does that have to do with the White Fang?"
"It has to do with them… because all the faunas in there were ones who were labeled as Traitors BY the White Fang." Kazuki said, shocking Blake.
"Y-You're wrong! You have to be, they wouldn't do that!" She shouted.
"Blake I fucking asked some of them after I got them out of there! Each and every faunas in there were White Fang Traitors! Some of them were as young as RUBY FOR FUCKS SAKE!" Kazuki shouted, causing both Blake and Sun to flinch away, "I can't say much about the Fang in Vale… but the Fang in Mistral are insane. That being said, it wouldn't surprise me if they were the ones stealing the dust."
"I...I'm still not so sure…." Blake said, nervously.
"Well.. why don't we go and check?" Sun asked, confusing Blake.
"What? How?" She asked.
"Well… I heard a rumor that there was gonna be a BIG shipment of dust from the SDC coming into the docks tonight. If we go there, we can catch the culprit red-handed, we can both A. Stop it from happening again, and B. Prove if it's the White Fang or not." He explained.
"Well… I guess that's the plan." Kazuki said, "oh and Blake?" He said, catching her attention, "You had every right to be suspicious of me." He said in a dark tone as he traced a Double Beam Scythe, causing Blake's eyes to widen in disbelief and terror.
Vale, around the docks
"BLAAAAKE!? WHERE ARE YOUUU?!" Ruby called out, searching for Blake but to no avail.
"BLAKE?! COME ON WHERE ARE YOU!?" Makoto called out this time.
Naoto on the other hand, didn't call out at all but instead kept looking around in various directions, especially above the rooftops or in alleyways.
"Naoto! why aren't you helping?!" Ruby asked him in an irritated tone.
"I am, I'm looking above the rooftops and alleyways, I'm also trying to see if I can spot someone covering the top of their head or running away quickly." He explained.
"Oh."
"Ugh.. we've been searching for HOURS and there's still no sign of either Blake or Kazuki…" Makoto said, sounding a little depressed.
"Well, Kazuki's easy to spot with that blue scarf he's always wearing." Naoto said.
"Yeah, well.. We just need to keep going!" Ruby said, maintaining her optimism.
"Yes! We just need to keep going!" The group turned around to see Penny, catching them by surprise.
"Penny? What are you-" "GET DOWN!" Naoto interrupted Ruby as he pushed her to the side, avoiding a very familiar butterfly knife.
"Oh wow, nice reflexes there kid. Not bad." A smug voice said to the three who each got into their own fighting stances.
When they looked over, all three of them became shocked at the sight of a very familiar face, though Naoto's face quickly morphed into anger upon seeing the clothing.
"Kazuma?!" Ruby and Makoto both thought, Naoto however…
"Hazama…" had recognized the man instantly.
Shooting forth a green and black chain, Hazama snatched his knife back from where it had landed. Looking over at Naoto, his face became serious, "That's not Raggy… funny, could've sworn I felt his presence…" he looked back to Ruby and Makoto who seemed to become extremely nervous when he opened one of his eyes, revealing the same snake-like slits that Kazuma's had.
"Captain Hazama! Stop! They're my friends!" Penny pleaded, shaking Hazama from his thoughts.
"Oh? Oh my! My apologies kids. I didn't mean to act so hostile towards you. I guess you could say I'm a little… over-protective of dear Penny." He said, taking his hat off and doing a sort of butler-like bow, a smirk adorning his face.
"N-No, it's fine! Just one big misunderstanding!" Ruby said nervously, waving her hands in front of her face.
"Yeah… just a misunderstanding." Naoto said, trying to hide his anger, "yeah, keep acting all innocent you snake, I'm gonna wipe that smug smirk right off your face." he thought.
"Well, I guess Penny doesn't really have to worry too much with a guy as scary as you protecting her!" Makoto said, equally nervous, "Why does this guy look so much like Kazuma?" she wondered.
"Something about this brat REALLY pisses me off… is it that right arm? Wait… right arm, very obvious bloodlust towards me… are there two of him? Hm.. Interesting." Hazama thought to himself, "Well Penny, I guess I can leave you to have some fun with your friends! Buh-Bye now!" Hazama said, placing his hat back on his head and walking off.
"W-Wait!" Ruby called out, "Do you… do you know Kazuma?!" She called out to him, causing him to stop.
"Kazuma? As in Kazuma Kval? What the hell?" He thought, turning around, "I'm afraid not, why?" He asked.
"Well… you just look a lot like him! Almost exactly like him actually…" Ruby told him.
"Is that so…? Oh well!" Hazama said as he turned around and walked off, "How the HELL does she know Kazuma?! Things just keep getting interesting!" He thought with a sinister chuckle.
"Well… that was something…." Makoto said.
"Yeah, Captain Hazama has always been a rather strange man." Penny told, seemingly having already forgotten that Ruby was nearly skewered by a butterfly knife, "Well, what are you three doing this fine evening?" She asked.
"We're looking for my teammate Blake." Ruby told her.
"Oh, you mean the Faunas Girl?" Penny asked.
"What? How'd you know she was a faunas, she wears a…..oh…" Ruby was saying, only stopping when she realized how obvious Blake's disguise was.
"Yeah… a bow on top of your cat ears… it wouldn't surprise me if over half of Beacon actually knew." Naoto said.
"Okay how'd YOU know?" Makoto asked.
"Because of the way her bow moves when there's no wind." He stated.
"Oh yeah… and Kazuki most definitely knew because of his semblance, assuming he didn't figure it out immediately like I did." Makoto said.
"Well don't you worry Friends! I will help you!" Penny said excitedly.
"Sure, the more the merrier." Makoto said.
Another part of Vale
"BLAKE! KAZUKI! WHERE ARE YOU TWO!?" Yang called out.
"Jeez, will you stop yelling? If they're hiding and you're calling them like that then they're gonna know where WE are and avoid us." Ragna told her.
"Oh, yeah. I guess you're right." Yang said, sounding disappointed.
"Come on, cheer up, we'll find them eventually." Ragna said, not sounding the slightest bit worried.
"You know, you could at least PRETEND to be worried." Yang told him.
"I could, but I know that the two of them can handle themselves. Kazuki's good in a fight and Blake's no pushover either, if the initiation was anything to go by." Ragna stated camly.
"I guess you're right. Well… what are you actually thinking?" She asked, catching the Reaper by surprise.
"What do you mean?" He asked, confused.
"Well, when Naoto said that Kazuki was also missing, you looked pretty pissed." She explained.
"Well, yeah, that's cause I found something out about him, and before you ask what, don't. It's not my place to tell. I told him to tell you, Ruby and Makoto but I think he's decided that running off was a better option." Ragna explained, irritated.
"Well.. if he doesn't want to tell us then what's the harm?"
"Because the last time he wasn't telling us things, it turned out he was basically tortured and lost his only student and god knows what else."
"Oh, right…"
"On second thought… maybe I should tell you, then you can knock some sense into that idiot." Ranga said.
"But you just said that you weren't gonna tell." Yang said.
"Yeah I know, but I doubt he'll EVER tell anyone else, actually, I'd say only Naoto and Kazuma know about it. I honestly just overheard him talking with Kazuma about it." The Reaper explained.
"So you were eavesdropping?" Yang asked, sounding unamused.
"Not intentionally." He defended.
"Well… might as well hear it then." She said.
"Are you sure?" Ragna asked.
"Yes, I'm sure. If it's something that I can help him with then I want to be able to, even if he thinks I can't." She explained.
"You… really care a lot about him, don't you?" Ragna asked.
"I mean… yeah, I do, he sees Ruby as a younger sister and she in turn sees him as an older brother.. Heck, even I see him as a younger brother." Yang explained further.
"Fine… well to put it bluntly…" He started, "Shit… how the hell do I explain this WITHOUT sounding crazy?" He thought.
"What is it?"
"He.. shit… I honestly don't know how to say this without coming off as insane." He admitted.
"Oh.. well in that case, Ruby, Makoto and I can all confront him together and you can be there too as a sort of… Intimidation factor." Yang said.
"I'm pretty sure he just gets excited at the idea of fighting me. Not sure how much intimidation I can offer." Ragna said with a smile.
"Well, he can't back out if you're there, it's either he tells us himself or you tell us." She explained.
"Yeah, I guess so."
The two then continued the search for Blake and Kazuki, completely unaware that they were being watched.
"Oh, so you know something about that brat, do you Raggy? Well then, I suppose I can always ask my boss what he knows too then." Hazama thought as he disappeared into an alley.
Vale, Near the Docks
Weiss and Noel had been searching around for Weiss' teammate and her leader's elder brother but have had just as much luck as everyone else. It was nearing night and Weiss was just about ready to give up.
"Don't give up Weiss, come on! We'll find them eventually." Noel said, trying to cheer the heiress up.
"I know that… but I don't know if I WANT to find Blake…" Weiss admitted.
"What!? Why not?!" Noel asked, sounding a bit shocked.
"Because she used to be with the White Fang! And I'm… I'm not sure how I feel… I get that not all faunas in it are crazy thanks to Kazuki's points but… I guess I'm scared of what she thinks of ME." Weiss admitted.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean that… since I'm the heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, Blake might think I'll try to kill her or turn her in or something… over the past few hours I've thought about it and… I don't care that she used to be in the White Fang. Sure I was shocked at first but.. She wouldn't have come to Beacon to spy or anything because Ozpin would've found out immediately." She explained further, "I don't think I want to find her because I'm afraid that she's afraid of what I might or might not do…"
"Oh, I think I get it. You're not afraid of her. You're afraid of what she might think about you and you'll do." Noel said.
"Yeah, that's right. I'm worried about her" Weiss admitted.
"Well… then that's just all the more reason to find her then!" Noel said cheerfully.
"Yeah, I guess… hey Noel?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah?"
"What do you think of Kazuki?" Weiss asked.
Noel seemed to freeze and looked away, "I'm… not sure honestly… back when I used The Eye on him during his match with Ragna I… I saw a wasteland, with blades of all shapes and sizes sticking out of the ground like tombstones, then I noticed that there were several types of ranged weapons there in the same manner… I think I even saw some vehicles of the likes I've never seen… some looked more advanced than the things Atlas makes…" Noel explained.
"What was it called? His Semblance." Weiss asked again.
"The Ultimate Armory. After I saw it… my head felt like it was on fire… To be honest… I'm a little intimidated by him… and not in the same way Jin intimidates me, it's like there's something about him that I shouldn't know, but using The Eye will show me what it is…" Noel explained further.
"Was that all you saw?" Weiss asked her.
Noel seemed to go back into thought, thinking long and hard about anything else she might have seen, only to find nothing, "No, I think that's it… I never even saw anything about the curses or the Chaos Emeralds…"
"Well… We'll find out soon enough, let's go." Weiss said, "A wasteland with blades and guns sticking out like tombstones…" she thought before turning back to Noel, "Noel, were there any gears in the sky?"
"Huh? No, there weren't, actually, the sky seemed to be covered in a large grey cloud. Why?" Noel asked.
"I think you saw his… what was it called again? He said his master, Archer, had one…" Weiss said.
"Reality Marble?" Noel said.
"Yeah, that…."
Vale Docks, late night
Blake, Sun and Kazuki were currently hiding on top of the roof of a warehouse at the docks, Blake was constantly switching from watching the entrance to Kazuki, still shaken by the fact that he revealed himself to be the White Fang Killer. What made her wary of Sun was the fact that he didn't seem at all surprised.
"Hey, stole ya some food." Sun said, hunching down beside Blake.
"Do you always break the law without a second thought?" She asked him.
"Hey, weren't you part of a cult or something?" Sun asked, only to get glared at, "too soon?"
"And you're with a murderer." She said, looking over at Kazuki.
"He may have killed a few extremists, but you'd be surprised at just how many he actually spares." Sun told her.
"What? But those camps never have any survivors."
"Yeah, cause he kills the extremists who don't back down, I don't know how he does it but he can apparently tell who was being stubborn and who was just scared shitless." Sun explained, "It might be a part of his semblance."
"He gets detailed information on the weapon but basic info on it's owner or owners. So which of those lets him tell the difference?" Blake asked particularly no one, quoting what Yang had told her Kazuki's semblance was.
"He also said that anyone who killed five or more people doesn't get a chance, maybe that falls under the weapon? Y'know, like a killstreak in video games?" Sun voiced his thoughts, receiving another glare from Blake, "Well, I'm not wrong am I?"
"No, you're not." Kazuki said to them from where he was standing, "Now eyes up, they're here." He told them.
True to his words, Several Bullheads bearing the White Fang insignia came down and landed, coming out from the bullheads were various White Fang Soldiers who began loading dust from the various warehouses onto the bullheads.
"You really didn't think it was them, did you?" Sun whispered.
"No… I think deep down I knew it was… I just didn't want to be right.
"Welp… Let's get this show started." Kazuki said as he traced the armour he wore whenever he attacked the White Fang camps.
Jumping down from the roof of his building, Kazuki created a large dust cloud as the ground cracked beneath him. Several of the White Fang soldiers stopped what they were doing and immediately aimed their guns at Kazuki but began shaking in fear as they all saw the shape of his armour, as well as the glow from the double beam scythe and the green eyes that the armour had on.
"Come on you dumb animals we don't have all night! We're not exactly the most inconspicuous group of thieves you know!" A voice from one of the bullheads called, walking out it was revealed to be Roman Torchwick, the crime boss that Kazuki, Naoto and Ruby encountered before they joined Beacon, "What the fuck is that?" He asked, seeing Kazuki.
"Roman Torchwick… well this is unexpected…" Kazuki said, his voice booming from the armour, looking to his right, he saw a pair of two familiar Bear and Leopard Faunas, "Did the two of you really not heed my warning, despite seeing what happened to that deer faunas who also ignored it?" He asked them, causing them to drop their weapons in fear, "Luckily for you two however, it seems that you both have yet to actually kill an innocent, so you get one. More. chance. Leave now." He warned them.
The two of them then quickly ran behind Kazuki, at first confusing him, only for his armour to be hit by several bullets, "Ah, now I see… go into the warehouse behind me… it seems that quite a few of these idiots have killed well more than five innocent people…." Kazuki then traced a red spear, Gáe Dearg, the Rose Thorn of Exorcism, in his free hand.
(Cue: 'Fate/Zero Original Soundtrack - 11 The Dogfight')
"I'll deal with these idiots." Kazuki said as he flew towards one of the white fang soldiers who were shooting at him.
When he got close, he had impaled the faunas through the heart with Gáe Dearg, having bypassed the poor fool's aura with it. Up on the roof of the warehouse, Blake couldn't help but look in terror as Kazuki bypassed the auras of the white fang soldiers like it didn't even exist. Though one thing she did notice was that he wasn't killing all of them. Kazuki charged at another soldier who fired at him with a rocket launcher. Kazuki dodged the rocket and went up behind the faunas, using Gáe Dearg, he smacked the faunas on the back of the neck with the butt end of the spear, bypassing the aura and knocking the soldier out.
Looking down, she saw several white fang soldiers going into the warehouse after the two faunas who surrendered.
"We have to help them, something tells me they were forced to stay in the white fang." Sun said as he jumped down and into the warehouse.
Blake only looked at Kazuki as he knocked yet another soldier out with the butt end of his spear, thinking about what both he and Sun had told her earlier, she decided to follow Sun and lend him a hand.
Inside the warehouse, the two Faunas from before, Jerry and Sara, were backed up against the wall with several other soldiers aiming their guns at them.
"Traitors." was all one of them got to say before Sun came in from behind and hit him in the back of the head with his weapon, a collapsible staff that he then separates into two nunchucks called, Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang.
"Honestly, I don't see why ANYONE would wanna stay with guys like you." Sun taunted, "Go, if you can't fight then go and hide." He said to Jerry and Sara.
"Another one?! Damnit Get him!" Another faunas said, but just as they were about to charge the trio, Blake came in and threw Sara and Jerry's guns at them.
Blake then slashed across the back of one of the White Fang Soldiers with Gambol Shroud, distracting the soldiers and allowing Jerry and Sara to open fire, Sun too decided to join in by spinning Ruyi and Jingu Bang, firing shotgun round from them, Blake manages to avoid getting hit by hooking herself onto the railings of the upper area inside the warehouse, swinging on it and landing atop a crate, she then proceeds to fire alongside the trio with Gambol Shroud in its pistol form. After the hail of bullets end, the aura of the white fang soldiers is depleted and they surrender.
"Thanks." Jerry said.
"I'm honestly surprised that he spared us…" Sara said as she looked outside to see Kazuki pierce a white fang soldier with his spear, "but I just wish that he'd at least give them all a chance…"
"He is." Blake said, surprising them all, "Look over there, a lot of them are only knocked out." She said, pointing at the unconscious group of faunas.
"And what about everyone else?!" Sara asked, angered by the deaths of other white fang soldiers, "why didn't they get a chance!?"
"Because they probably killed five or more people." Sun said, causing the two, now ex-white fang soldiers, to look at him in confusion, "Look, the way he sees it, if you kill five or more innocent people, then he kills you, his semblance lets him tell how many you've killed. His semblance is…. Pretty diverse." He explained further.
Back outside, Kazuki was fending off 5 White Fang Soldiers who decided to surround him, unfortunately their plan didn't work as he blocked, dodged or parried their strikes easily. Currently the six were underneath a shipping container that was held up by a crane. Roman saw this and, being fed up with the lack of progress, fired at the cable holding it with his cane. The five soldiers looked up in terror and ceased their attacks, just as they were about to move out of the way, Kazuki got rid of the double Beam Scythe and replaced it with a large gun that seemingly had two barrels, it also had one yellow line going across both sides of it, aiming it up at the crate, Kazuki pulled the trigger an extraordinarily large yellow beam shot forth from the gun, completely incinerating the shipping container and in the process, causing a massive explosion from the fire dust that was held inside of it.
Everyone there ceased what they were doing and looked at Kazuki in amazement and fear. Roman, while a little terrified by the display of firepower, looked more pissed than anything else.
"Well shit." Was all Roman said before several more White Fang Bullheads appeared, causing him to smirk.
"Shit.. a few of them haven't killed anyone at all and are fresh recruits… meaning I can't just blast them with the twin buster rifle…." Kazuki thought as he eyed the Bullheads through the helmet on his armour.
(End Song)
Outside of Vale's Docks
"WHAT WAS THAT!?" Makoto shouted as she, Ruby, Naoto and Penny all saw the massive yellow beam and explosion.
"Looks like it came from the docks… Let's go!" Naoto said as he ran off in the direction of the beam.
"Kazuki and Blake might be in trouble, Ruby let's go!" Makoto said as she ran off.
"Kazuki.. Penny, if you want to stay here you can, but I'm going to save my brother and teammate!" Ruby said to Penny.
"No, I'm going with you! I might not look it but I assure you! I'm Combat Ready!" Penny said with determination.
Ruby smiled at her friend and the two went towards the Docks. Elsewhere Yang and Ragna had also seen the Beam and were making their way to the docks.
"There is no way that that giant beam and explosion WASN'T Kazuki!" Ragna said as he was running.
"Yeah, I just hope he's okay." Yang said.
Noel and Weiss were a bit further away but still managed to see the beam, they both looked nervous but steeled themselves and started making their way to the docks.
The Docks
"Tch. You'd seriously kill your own men just to get to me?" Kazuki asked in a VERY angry tone.
"Well you seemed to be killing them yourself pretty quickly but the second I go to kill them alongside you and suddenly it makes me the biggest scum on the planet." Roman responded, his voice laced with sarcasm.
"In case you didn't notice, I've killed a total of ten of your men, the rest are just unconscious." Kazuki informed.
"Yeah well, I've got Bullheads armed with machine guns and you don't so I WIN!" Roman said as the bullheads started to open fire on Kazuki.
Some of the white Fang soldiers from earlier weren't able to move out of the way in time and became shocked when Kazuki shoved one of them out of the line of fire and shielded the other one with his body. To the shock of the white fang soldiers, the bullets from the machine guns seemed to harmlessly bounce off of Kazuki's armour. Roman's eyes widened in disbelief at this.
"SERIOUSLY! What the hell will it take for you to go DOWN!" Roman shouted as he fired shots from his cane at Kazuki, only for the blasts to do absolutely nothing other than make his armour dirty from the ash of the explosions.
(Cue: Gundam Wing OST: The Legend of Zero)
"Gundarium Alloy can not be so easily damaged. And you should know, I possess nine more armours made of the same material. The armour you face right now…" Kazuki started as he allowed the twin buster rifle and Gáe Dearg to dissipate and brought the double beam scythe back into
existence, "Is the Gundam Deathscythe Hell!" He announced as he flew up at the bullheads that had stopped firing, cutting through their wings with the scythe like a hot knife through butter, effectively grounding them.
Looking over at the third Bullhead, he charged right at it and landed inside it, he then sliced in a circular motion, cutting it in half and sending it crashing down and blowing it up. From the fire, several of the White Fang Soldiers who were on board were thrown out of the fire, their auras shattering upon landing. From in the fire stood Kazuki, still in his Gundam Deathscythe Hell armour, with its wings spread out completely and the double beam scythe slung over his shoulder. Roman began looking nervous for the first time during the entire night and began sweating. In his eyes and the eyes of several of the white fang there, it was as though they were looking right at Death himself, despite knowing that he spared a large number of the soldiers there, they couldn't help but feel afraid in his presence.
"Holy shit… that's… genuinely terrifying…" Sun said from the warehouse.
"N-No kidding…" Jerry said, sweating nervously.
"Deathscythe Hell… what kind of name is that?! And why… am I so scared…?" Sara asked herself.
Blake only had one thought going through her head. And that was the question of just how many people Kazuki has already ended.
"Wait, he said he had nine more armours like that…'' Sun pointed out.
It was then that Ruby, Naoto, Makoto, Penny, Ragna and Yang arrived at the scene.
"H-Holy shit!" Naoto shouted out, spotting the dead bodies.
"W-Who's that?!" Yang asked, pointing at Kazuki.
"That's…. Kazuki…" Ragna said, causing Ruby, Yang and Makoto to look at him in disbelief.
"You can't be serious right!?" Makoto said.
"Oh great, Red and Black are here… shit… NEO!" Roman called out to seemingly no one, only for a girl shorter than ruby to appear.
She wears a white cropped wide, broad tailed jacket with a pink interior, collar, a single pink button and large pink cuffs. She wears brown pants with a dark belt that has a gray buckle and an additional narrow belt under it. Under her jacket is a brown corset, curved in the middle and at the bottom, exposing her hips. She also wears a multitude of black beaded necklaces, which hang haphazardly around her neck. She also wears black and white spat styled under the knee boots
"We're leaving!" Roman says to her.
"Like hell you are!" Kazuki shouts, charging at Roman and Neo, he swings the double beam scythe at them, only for them to shatter like glass and vanish, "DAMNIT!" He shouts in anger
(End Song)
Kazuki tilted his head towards the group that had just arrived, causing them all to stiffen, even Ragna. Then, in an instant, he vanished. Back in the Warehouse that Blake, Sun and the two ex-white fang soldiers were in, Kazuki appeared behind the four, startling them.
"You two are coming with me, if the VPD sees you you'll be arrested on sight, since you surrendered willingly, you can leave and walk the streets." Kazuki told them, before they even got to respond, the three were covered in a flash of green light and were gone.
"I'm gonna make a run for it too, I'm not exactly on good terms with the VPD since, you know, I kinda got caught breaking the law the second I got to Vale." Sun said as he left through a smashed window.
Blake looked back out at the mess that Kazuki caused.
"Blake!" Blake looked over to see that Ruby was running right at her, Blake braced herself for the worst, only to get tackled to the ground by Ruby in a hug, "What happened?! We were so scared! Don't you ever run off like that again!" Ruby told her, not wanting to let go.
"Uh, Ruby, you should probably let her get up." Naoto said to her.
"Huh? Oh, right, sorry." Ruby said sheepishly as she stopped hugging Blake and got up.
"N-no… it's fine…" Blake said, looking away.
"Blake… was that… thing… really Kazuki..?" Makoto asked, nervously.
Blake looked away for a few seconds that seemed to drag on for a while before finally nodding, causing Yang, Makoto and Ruby's eyes to widen in disbelief.
"B-but… he wouldn't do all that… would he?" Ruby asked.
"Yeah, he would. He already told us that he killed the guy who put a shock collar on him." Ranga told her, "He also told me that he was the one going around killing White Soldiers."
"Wait, you knew?!" Blake asked.
"Yeah, I found out yesterday, granted I'm sure you've noticed that he doesn't kill ALL of them." Ragna said, "And if you're mad about me knowing and not telling you about it, even though I only found out yesterday. Then what do you have to say to Naoto?" All heads turned to Naoto, who was staring at the dead bodies, seemingly unfazed by them.
"I had a feeling that what he was doing was dirty work… I guess now I know just WHAT it was he doing exactly…" He said aloud.
"So you're only finding out now?" Makoto asked.
"Yeah, but this was going on for a lot longer…"
"How long…? Yang asked.
"Don't know, but I can tell you that back when he was sick", Naoto made air quotations, "he was probably actually out doing this…"
It would be a maximum of five minutes before the VPD arrived, before that, Ragna had suggested that Makoto go and hide, in case the police officers decide to blame Makoto and that Blake put her bow back on, eventually, Weiss and Noel arrived who had frozen for a few seconds when they saw the dead bodies.
"Weiss!" Ruby called out.
Weiss saw Ruby and Yang sitting next to Blake, who, upon seeing the heiress, looked away. Weiss made her way over to her team and was looking right at Blake.
"Weiss, listen…" Blake started, looking at Weiss, "I want to know that… yes, I used to be apart of the White Fang but that's before I-" Weiss interrupted Blake by waving her finger in her face and making shushing sounds.
"Blake… I've gotten to think about a lot today and I've decided that… I don't care." She said, confusing Blake, "I've decided that I don't care if you were a part of the White Fang or not, all I care about is that from now on, you be more truthful with us and come to us for help… not some… delinquent like that Monkey." Weiss said further.
Ragna, Naoto and Noel all stood to the side and watched as Team RWBY got together again as Weiss and Blake made amends with each other.
"I knew it'd turn out alright." Noel said, cheerfully.
"Yeah…" Ragna said, though his mind was elsewhere, "Maybe… Jin and I really should try and bury the hatchet…."
Abandoned Warehouse
After the fiasco that was the event at the docks, Roman had spent several hours alongside Neo trying to find a new hideout. It was already bad enough when he couldn't get even a single container of dust. But what made it worse was the fact that he had been stopped by ONE person alone! Even if you could call that thing a person!
"First, Red, Black and Blue stop that first heist… THEN the literal fucking Grim Reaper shows up, kills a few of thos mutts and SINGLEHANDEDLY stops another heist! Now I have to keep a lookout for the cops…" Roman vented his frustrations aloud.
"You'd best not let this failed job discourage you Roman, otherwise there will be severe consequences." A female voice said, causing Roman to sigh loudly.
"Cinder, this wasn't my fault. I didn't know that I'd have to fight fucking Death himself to just steal you a shit load of dust which, you STILL haven't told me why you need!" Roman said to the woman, Cinder, angrily, catching her by surprise.
"Well make sure you pick things up." She said to him, maintaining her composure.
"Now don't be so hard on our dear crime boss, Cinder. After all, if I had to fight someone who could get my aura with some red spear and a gun that shoots beams wider than two bullheads, I'd be pretty frustrated too." Hazama said, walking into the light.
"Hazama," Cinder said, slight irritation in her voice, "How go the identification documents you and Leo are making." She asked him.
"There's been a change in plan, my dear maiden." A voice said, looking behind Hazama, Cinder saw green glowing eyes.
"Who are you?" She asked, irritated, "And what do you mean?"
"Who am I? Well.. I'm the person who's just been put in charge by your dear queen. As for what I mean, I mean you, Emerald, Mercury and Neo will be going to Beacon." He said.
"What!?" Cinder asked in surprise, the change of plans and her new superior catching her off guard.
"I meant what I said. As for why… Well, you are to attend every class you go to, lest Kazuki become suspicious, because if he becomes even a little suspicious of you… he can and will kill you. He'd also recognize the girl instantly, giving away any sort of cover you two had." Cinder's new boss explained.
"Yes, supposedly he encountered our dear Ex-Colonel before and saw him with No.13." Hazama told her.
"It's of no importance if he's suspicious of the other three, you're the one who must maintain an innocent facade. And to do that, you are stop acting so high and fucking mighty!" the boy said as Cinder was suddenly lifted into the air and slammed against the roof.
"Well, we'll leave the two of you to get more acquainted, Roman, Neo," Hazama said the petite girl's name with underlying animosity, "Let's leave them be." He said as he left the room.
Roman and Neo followed the green haired man, Neo and Roman both having smirks on their faces.
"Good… now allow me to make one thing clear… thief." The boy started. Cinder looked up in anger as flames ignited in her palms, "The powers of the Maidens are nothing compared to myself or Kazuki… not only that, but despite his demeanor, Hazama is also FAR above the full power of a maiden. So even IF you manage to steal the rest of the Fall Maiden's power, the second Kazuki reaches you, he will end you before you even realize he was there." He warned Cinder, who started to feel an intense pressure weighing down on her, as her, stolen, powers seemed to fade away from her control.
Looking back up at her new boss, Cinder's eyes widened in fear as now there was a bright green aura that surrounded him. Cinder had no way of actually sensing the powers of another, but she could FEEL the level of power that emanated from her superior, who smiled evilly as he looked down on her.
"Am I understood?" He asked, receiving a nod from Cinder, who now understood her place amongst the new pecking order.
AN: Holy shit it's been awhile! All I really have to say is, I'm sorry for taking so long with this, but I had to focus on exams, I am also now job-hunting so I don't know when I'll be able to write these chapters, at best, I'll try to get one out every week, key word being try. I made this my longest chapter as a way of making up for all the time I was gone. So I guess I'll see you all again whenever!
