Match Four: Gwydion:

All over the world, the mirrors appeared. It already began in Japan. He was out in the world and came home.

Allison stood in front of her mirror. The inky darkness swirled around under the surface. A low hum filled the room. Her lips curved into a hungry smile. She waited for this to come. She had longed for this. Allison counted to down to the moment the game would give them leverage.

Fingertips slipped out of the glass. Allison grinned as she took a step back. She held out her hand to the mirror. A full hand came towards her. A man with white, blonde hair came out of the mirror. He looked cute with his light blue bowtie. More and more of him came out of the mirror. With one more step, he entered the room.

"Welcome home," Allison said. The man opened his eyes and stretched his neck.

"Mmm, my neck hurts," the man mumbled. He looked up and saw Allison.

"Oh," he said. "Fancy seeing you here, my dear?" Allison broke into a little smile.

"Oliver," she said. "It's so nice to see you again." The man tilted his head.

"Allison?" he asked. She held out her hand. His lips curved into a smile.

"My dear, Allison," he said. "It really is you. How have you been? I haven't seen you in ages." Oliver walked up to Allison and embraced her. The sickeningly sweet scent of his body filled her nostrils. She pulled him into her arms.

"Oliver," she said again. Allison didn't want to let him go just yet. The man had to gently nudge her off.

"So where is my counterpart?" he asked.

"He's resting," the nightcomer said. Oliver raised his eyebrow.

"Resting?" he asked.

"Let me show you," Allison said. She turned and walked to the doorway. The man had a curious look on his face as he followed behind.

Allison led Oliver to the living room. The man had to shield his eyes from the sun. The nightcomer walked across the room. She stood next to Arthur sitting in a chair in a daze.

"Here he is," Allison said. Oliver frowned and tilted his head.

"That's him?" he asked. The man walked up to his dazed double.

"Damn, that's kind of sad, mate," Oliver said. He reached forward and tapped the other English man on the cheek. Oliver looked up at Allison.

"When is he going to wake up?" he asked.

"It comes and it goes," Allison said.

"Oh…" Oliver muttered. He waved his hand in front of the other England's face. Nothing. No response. Oliver dropped his shoulders.

"Hey, have you eaten yet?" Allison asked. Oliver looked up at her.

"No…" he said.

"Excellent," she said. "Join us for dinner tonight." Oliver had an odd look.

"Us?" he asked.

"My daughters and I," Allison said. "You will get to meet the whole family." The man broke into a huge smile.

"You know what? I would love that," Oliver said. The nightcomer looked excited.

"Excellent, I'm so glad you accepted," she said. He took her by the hands and kissed them.

Meanwhile, Arthur could hear everything. He couldn't show it, but fear ran through his body. A single tear ran down his left cheek.

Her daughters had mixed opinions about the other England. Tessa met him first. She came home from the market. Oliver was already at the door, waiting for her.

"Good evening, my lady," he said. Tessa wrinkled her nose.

"Uh… Who are you?" she asked.

"Oh, where are my manners?" the man asked. He gave her a little bow.

"I'm Oliver," the man said. "Pleased to meet you."

"Okay…" Tessa said. Oliver smiled at her like a hungry wolf. The nightcomer raised her eyebrow. The English man chuckled.

"Oh that's right, your mother didn't tell you, did she?" he asked.

"Tell me what?" the young woman asked.

"Ah," Oliver said. "I guess you are going to have to see at dinner. Now, can you point me over to the kitchen?" Tessa pointed to the direction that he came from. Oliver turned his head.

"Thank you so much," he said. He turned and walked back to the kitchen. Tessa stood for a moment, trying to piece together what was going on. Suddenly, something clicked in her head.

"Oh," she said. Tessa couldn't help but smile.

Sabine was a little warmer to Oliver. She spotted him in the kitchen. The sickeningly sweet smell drew her down the hall.

"What is that?" she asked herself. Sabine took another sniff. Something told her to stop, but she just had to keep going. Chopping sounds filled the air. The nightcomer poked her head around the corner. Oliver stood in the kitchen, chopping something on a cutting board. He hummed happily to himself. He took a moment to sniff some basil.

"Excuse you?" Sabine asked. The man paused with the knife.

"Oh hello, my dear," he said. Sabine paused.

"Um… who are you?" she asked. Oliver smirked to himself as he turned around.

"Nice to meet you," he said. "My name is Oliver. What is your name?" She blinked at first.

"Sabine," she said. "What are you doing here?" The man took a look around.

"Your mother invited me here," he said. "As for being in the kitchen, I am making some of my special brews."

"Is that right?" the nightcomer asked.

"Uh-huh," he said.

"Heh," Sabine said. Oliver kind of frowned.

"What is that around your neck?" he asked. She looked down at her necklace.

"Oh this?" Sabine said. "It's my necklace. I made it myself." Oliver narrowed his eyes.

"Are those… teeth?" he asked.

"Uh-huh," she said.

"How dreadful," he said. Sabine frowned.

"Jerk," she mumbled.

"Hm?" Oliver asked. Sabine shook her head. She tried to look over his shoulder as he went back to chopping up the basil. Arthur tried to block her vision.

"No, no, no," he said. "No peeking." The nightcomer cocked her head. Oliver gave her a warm smile.

"It's a surprise," he said.

"Is that right?" Sabine asked.

"Uh-huh," the English man said. The nightcomer narrowed her eyes.

"Right…" she mumbled. Sabine turned and walked back to her room. Oliver smiled to himself.

Hecate would be the hardest to convince. Still, he just had to meet her. The encounter was rather anti-climactic.

"Hello Oliver," she said when she found him sitting on the couch in the living room. She had no emotion on her face. The man pouted at her.

"Aw, that's it?" he asked.

"She finally got the edge, huh?" Hecate asked.

"You can say that," the Englishman said. The nightcomer wrinkled her nose.

"Uh-huh," she said. Oliver frowned.

"You don't sound too impressed with this," he said. Hecate shrugged.

"What do you want me to say?" she asked. "You're here. Things are going great for mum. What is there to say?" The Englishman's lower lip quivered. Hecate rolled her eyes.

"Whatever," she muttered. She turned and walked down the hall.

"We're have a dinner party tonight," Oliver shouted after her. Hecate waved him off before she was gone.

Dinner was at six in the evening. Allison sat at the head of the table. Oliver sat at the other end. Arthur looked like a lifeless doll sitting at the table. Her daughters didn't talk at first. Allison tapped her glass.

"Everyone, I would like to welcome our newest member to our coven," she said. "Please applaud for Oliver." The nightcomers politely clapped. Oliver smiled and nodded.

"Thank you so much," he said. He tried not to make eye contact with his catatonic double. It looked like they were having a dinner with a dead body. Oliver's right eye twitched.

"My dear, does he have to be here?" he asked.

"Why yes," Allison said. "He's a guest like you."

"Yes, but…" Oliver said. He shook his head.

"Never mind," he said. Hecate smirked to herself. She said nothing as she took a drink of her white wine.

"So, why are you here, if you don't mind me asking?" Tessa asked.

"Ah, yes," Oliver said. "Why am I here?" He set down his glass.

"You see," the man began again. "I was drawn into this world. I was living across the mirror when I heard something." He took a sip of his wine.

"Let me guess, mum had something to do with this?" Hecate asked.

"No," Oliver said.

"Well, that's a first," she said. Allison shot her a cold look.

"I can't explain it, actually," Oliver said. "All I know is that I heard it and I had to come and see what it was. Your mother was waiting outside for me." Allison smiled and nodded.

"And we are delighted to have you with us," she said. "So tell me, what are you planning to do now." The man took a moment to think.

"I haven't thought about that yet," he said. "All I know is that Kuro made it to Japan. The others aren't here yet." Oliver paused for a moment.

"No, wait," he said. "I think Allen is trying to get through." The man shrugged to himself.

"I don't know," he said. "I left before I got a look." He took another sip of his wine. The nightcomers eyed him as he did so. Allison smiled to herself.

Meanwhile, Arthur could hear everything. There was nothing that he could do. He was trapped in his body. Oliver glanced over at him.

"How long is he going to be like that?" he asked.

"It comes and it goes," Allison said.

"Oh…" the Englishman mumbled. He sounded so disappointed. Allison chuckled.

"He'll come back eventually," she said. Oliver perked up.

"Really? Do you mean?" he asked.

"Why yes," Allison said again. She finished off her wine. Oliver chuckled to himself as he finished off his glass.

Hecate's eyes moved back and forth between the new guest and her mother. Clearly, this man was going to be on her mother's side. Of course he would. Still, Hecate could find a way to use him to her advantage. For now, she would have to play nice. The nightcomer noticed that Oliver had his eyes on her. Could he tell what she was thinking?

Allison rose to her feet.

"I will go get dessert," she said. The nightcomer walked over to the doorway. She looked over her shoulder.

"Don't go anywhere," Allison said. She chuckled as she walked into the kitchen. The daughters all looked at each other as they descended into chatter. Oliver cleared his throat. They went silent and looked up. His lips curve into a smirk.

"So tell me," he said. "What are you ladies planning with this game of yours?"
