Teddy quickly rounded the corner of the one of many corridors that Hogwarts inhabited, trying to find his first class of the day- not even the day but his whole Hogwarts career. And of course, it happened to be his Dad's class that he was going to be late for. He knew he wasn't late yet as there were still older students in the corridors, but Teddy still had no idea where he needed to go. Seeing as he had visited his Dad at Hogwarts multiple times throughout his childhood, he should probably know how to get to the Defense classroom by now. However, Teddy was always dreadful with directions, and of course, like a total idiot, he has forgotten the Marauder's Map in his dormitory.
He quickly rounded another corner before colliding with someone; a loud thud erupted as Teddy's book, as well as the belongings of the other person, fell to the ground.
"Sorry," Teddy exclaimed quickly as he crouched to the ground to start gathering the fallen items.
"No- I'm sorry," said the person Teddy collided with. He looked up to see a Hufflepuff in his year- one of his dorm mates. The boy seemed to relax once he recognized who Teddy was. "You're Teddy, right?"
Teddy nodded, trying to rack his brain to remember this kid's name. Teddy also was always dreadful with remembering names.
"I'm Michael," he said, crouching down to help Teddy. "You have Defense Against the Dark Arts as well, right?"
"Yeah," said Teddy as they both stood up now that the fallen items were returned to their rightful owners. "Do you...erm...know where we're supposed to be going exactly?"
"Oh yeah! I made sure my brothers told me how to get to each one of my classes before I left," explained Michael as he began to lead the way to Remus's classroom. "Both of them were well annoyed with me by the third time of making them go over it. They both graduated last year from Slytherin."
"Well good because I have absolutely zero clue where I'm going," Teddy admitted. As they walked through the hallways, the directions began to come back to Teddy's memory, but he knew he would still never had found it on his own. "You would think that after spending so many weekends here with my Dad over the years that I'd have figured it out by now."
"That's right! You're Professor Lupin's son," exclaimed Michael. "My brothers said that your Dad was their favorite Professor!"
"Yeah," said Teddy, "whenever we would visit, my little sister would be the one to lead us around. I don't know how, but she always seemed to know the castle, even when she was like five."
Michael flashed Teddy a grin, "well...since you are the Professor's son, do you think you'll be able to get us out of trouble for being late?"
Teddy returned Michael a mischievous, toothy grin, "I think I might be able to pull some strings."
