Authors Note: This one is short because I will be joining it with the one about Mycroft. I just wanted to let you all know why this is so short.
Shocking Truth
Sherlock Holmes was in the precinct talking to Greg Lestrade about a case they were working on when a voice from behind Sherlock made him freeze in place.
"Hello William, it is so good to see you in such good health." The voice that came from behind Sherlock. Lestrade and John, standing in front of Sherlock, could see the look on his face. It was the look of shock and joy.
Sherlock whipped around to make sure it was really who he thought it was. He looks at the blond man in front of him with joy. He had not known when he would see him the next time him in London. He was thrilled to see him in person and not just the odd phone call Sherlock would receive.
"Mummy, it is wonderful to see you," Sherlock said with the joy that it was being shown on his face. The cops around them were frozen in place. They have never seen that look on Sherlock's face. Well, they have, but not without a body in front of him or an interesting case.
Donovan, unable to hold herself back, had to say something if only to break the stunned silence. "Mummy?" Donovan muttered. She looked at the blond man in front of them. She could not at first see any similarities between them but looked closer. The only similar thing was the blue of their eyes. Sherlock's eyes were a darker blue than the man's bright blue ones.
That broke the shock silence in the room. The blond man walked over to Sherlock. He put his hand on his (Sherlocks) cheek in a loving way a mother or parent would do. "You are looking good, my little genius. How are you doing?"
Sherlock leaned into the hand. He closed his eyes, finally feeling at peace more than he had in a very long time. "I`m fine." Finally opening his eyes again to look into the clear blue eyes of his mother.
"Why do I find that hard to believe. Have you been feeding, sleeping enough? Tell me the truth,"
Sherlock sighed in resignation, knowing that he would have to tell his mother the truth before mummy found out from another source. Things did not go well when you lied to mummy about the health of his children and grandchildren. Especially to his face, it never goes well for the person who lied to him. So, the truth was always the right way to go. "Yes, I have been feeding, but sleep has been hard to get recently." Sherlock finished with a sigh.
Spike hums to himself. "Well, we will have to do something with that, but we have to go and pick up Gabriel right now. Come." He turns on his heels, his coat fluttering about him as he starts to walk out. He is not even looking back to ensure that his son follows him. He just knew that Sherlock would follow him out.
Back in the precinct….
Everyone was in shock about what they had just seen. John and Greg looked at each other. "Did you know?" they asked each other simultaneously. "No," John answered. "Me neither," Greg replied.
