My RWBY Acadamia Chapter 2
Revenge of the Slime Villain
Ruby and Oscar were at Junior's Ice cream shop and Ruby was feeling a little better over what had happened as she munchs on some ice cream.
"I really hope Izuku didn't cause All-Might a problem" Oscar said making conversation
"I think he will, but I am worried, I was confident in my abilities but that encounter showed me just how powerless I am" Ruby admitted to him.
"Ruby don't say that. You are capable, we are just rookies and still learning our powers" Oscar reassured her
"Thanks, I guess I shouldn't dwell on it" Ruby said with a nod, suddenly an arm wraps around Ruby and she was in a tight hug "GAH!
The culprit was Yang her older sister who was wearing the UA school uniform "Awwwww is my little sister finally on a date with one of the boys she hangs out with" he noogies Ruby before letting go
"Ah! Yang! It isn't like that?!" Ruby said with a small blush in embaressment
"Yang come on don't embarrass her" A black haired girl with cat ears, in a similar uniform said, she was Blake Belladonna one of Yang's classmate in UA.
Also there drinking some tea was a white haired girl with a ponytail and a small scar on her face. She was Weiss Schnee another classmate. Ruby and Oscar were familiar with both as this is a common hang out for all of them
"I am only teasing" Yang said sitting down "So how was your day sis?"
"It went well" Ruby said rubbing her head choosing not to mention she saw All-Might yet.
"You two excited for the UA entrance exam's?" Blake asked Ruby and Oscar
"Yeah, we are" Ruby said with a smile
"Hey Weiss, isn't Whitley applying to UA as well?" Oscar asked, referring to Weiss' younger brother
"Yeah, but he is applying to the business course there." Weiss said with a nod "With me becoming a Pro-hero and Winter signing up with Atlas Inc."
"Oh yeah, aren't they working on a somewhat next evolution to Pro-Heroes?" Blake asked having heard news of a secret project Atlas was working on.
"Yeah but no idea what it is" Weiss said with a shrug
"So, where is Izuku Ruby, he is usually with you and Oscar here?" Yang asked.
"Errr….well he had to stay behind school but said he would catch up with us" Ruby said rubbing her head "In fact me and Oscar have to go and meet up with him" she then quickly leaves
"Err...okay, nice seeing you guys" Oscar said and leave much to the confusion of the older girls. Oscar walks with Ruby and said "What was that about Ruby?"
"Sorry, I just didn't want to tell Yang about meeting All-Might or nearly dying, she would get so overprotective" Ruby said rubbing her head "I was just embarrassed is all"
"I guess I can understand, but maybe we should..." Oscar began but an explosion gets there attention. "What the?!"
The two look and see a crowd gathering to a market street and smoke coming from it. The two run up and are at the back of the crowd but could peek in and what they saw shocked them
"No...it...it can't be..." Ruby said shocked and worried.
There was the Slime villain in the middle of the fire. But last time they saw the guy All-Might was with him, how did he escape and what happened to Izuku?
"This can't be, what happened?!" Oscar said shocked. "How could he cause this much damage?"
Suddenly a nearby a man asked "How could it get this bad?"
"Apparently the villain took some kid hostage, there trying to break free but it is causing more damage then helping!" Another man said
"Huh?!" Ruby said and looked and saw the captured person being held by the villain and upon seeing there eyes and hair and knew it it was "It's Bakugo..."
"What?! He's the one being held captive?!" Oscar said shocked at the sight.
The two stood watching as several heroes appeared to try and deal with the situation including Death Arms, Backdraft, Kamuri Woods and even White Thorn but were struggling as Death Arms attacks weren't powerful enough to phase him.
Kamuri couldn't help due to the fire so focused on saving people and White Thorn tried to attack but the fire burns her leaves.
Ruby looks away and sees Midoriya approach looking a bit down but Ruby hugs him "Oh I am so happy you are okay"
"W-Wait…Why?" Izuku asked confused
"Well, look" Oscar said pointing
Izuku looks and is shocked to see the Slime villain and he looked horrified "I...It must have been my fault, during All-Might dealing with me it caused the bottle containing him to fall out"
"Don't blame yourself Midoriya, we just have to hope All-Might is not far behind" Ruby said with a not "But, I am worried for Bakugo"
"Wait Kacchan?!" Izuku said and looked and noticed finally Bakugo being restrained by the villain.
"That villain got lucky, he captured someone who wouldn't hold back and would make a problem worse" Oscar said worried as he watches it.
Suddenly Mount Lady appears to try and help but ran into a problem when there wasn't enough space for her to progress forward.
The crowd keep on talking wondering where the heck was All-Might, worried something happened to him and why the heroes were unable to stop him.
"Midoriya, you were last with All-Might where is he?" Oscar asked worried.
Izuku just looked worried as he watches Bakugo struggling and then without a warning Izuku drops his notbook and runs though the crowd and charges to the villain shocking everyone
"No you idiot! You'll get get yourself killed!" Death Arms called out
"Not one of those brats again!" The slime villain said in surprise
"He is going to get hurt!" Oscar said concerned only for Ruby picked him up "R-Ruby what are you doing?!"
"He won't be killed if we helped Oscar, you focus on keeping the shield up I will make sure he doesn't hurt us" Ruby said with a smile
"Alright." Oscar said and nods as Ruby prepares to jump.
Meanwhile the slime villain attempt to strike Izuku but the boy threw his backpack and the criminal was distracted by that. Izuku begins to try and claw the slime off of Bakugo to get him free.
"What the hell?! Why are you here?!" Bakugo yelled out name able to breath as the villain lost grip of his mouth.
"I don't know! My legs just started moving!" Izuku said as he keeps on trying to get Bakugo free.
Suddenly the villian recovers and said "Nice try brat!" He attmpts to knock Izuku away but a green shield appears around him blocking it "What?!" He looks to see Ruby had jumped in carrying Oscar "Dammit!" He attacks the two but Ruby uses her quirk to avoid the attack
"Ruby! Stop get out of there" White Thorn calls out to her daughter.
'Sorry mom, but I can't, not till my friends are safe' Ruby thought as she keeps dodging
"Kacchan! I couldn't just stand there and watch you die!" Izuku said tears in his eyes
Bakugo keeps struggling and calls out "GET THE HELL OFF ME!"
"Let him go you overgrown sludge pile!" Ruby calls out.
Unknown to them a figure was watching this and began to get bigger as they continue to work to beat the Slime Villain, he could get at Izuku due to the shield and couldn't get to Oscar to bring the shield down due to Ruby moving around until Ruby ended up being in a place she couldn't easily jump away from him
"Just a little bit longer kid" The slime villain said to Bakugo and then looks at the three "and I just had about enough of all three of you!" He prepares to strike them
"Save the kids! That thing will kill them!" Death Arms yells out as he and the other heroes try to charge in
"Ruby!" Summer calls out worried as she moves in.
The monster attacks which Izuku and the others brace for it but as the smoke settles they were fine and a voice said "I really am pathetic."
"Huh?" Oscar said and they look and the three gasp seeing All-Might had block the shot and was holding the villain back
Izuku gasps saying "All-Might...but..."
All-Might has he held the villain back said "I told you the trick to make a great...champion.." He struggles to hold him back but continues "But I see I wasn't living up to my own ideal!"
All-Might breaks himself free of the villain and grabs on to Bakugo and then yells out "Pros are always risking there lives! That is the true test of a hero!"
"Amazing..." Ruby said in awe as she watches this
"Damn you All-Might!" The Slime Villain yells out trying to attack
All-Might remove Bakugo free from the villain and goes for a punch "DETROIT….SMASH!" He punches the slime villain so hard it not only tore him apart but also created a strong gust of wind that created a large tornado into the sky.
When it died down everyone staired in awe and surprise. Izuku and Bakugo were out cold while Ruby and Oscar were just panting exhausted. Suddenly it began to rain and everyone was in shock that All-Might punched so hard it changed the weather. Ruby looks at All-Might as he stands tall to the cheers and when going to do his signature victory pose she notice him nearly stumble which surprised her but she didn't say anything.
A while later the slime villain was all collected and while reporters were interviewing All-Might, several of the pros were praising Bakugo for his bravery, the blond didn't look all that happy as he looks at Izuku, Ruby and Oscar with a glare.
Meanwhile the mentioned three were getting chewed out by Kamui Woods and Death Arms, the wood hero saying "Do you three have a death wish?!"
"You could've got yourselves killed!" Death Arms yelled out.
"We're sorry sirs" Oscar said looking down.
Ruby was a little sad, this was not the first meeting of Kamui she wanted. Just then Summer comes between the two, she was looking serious. "Ruby, with me. Now." she said simply.
Ruby nods and stands, she said good bye to Izuku and Oscar. She then walks off with her mother but there departure was noticed by All-Might.
When they were a good way away from the people Summer looks at Ruby and said "Just what were you thinking?! You know what would have happened if All-Might hadn't arrived!"
Ruby sniffs and rubs her neck and said "I...I just couldn't let one of my friends get hurt...again"
"Again?" Summer said surprised and then noticed the light bruise on her daughter's neck. "Ruby? What happened?" she asked. Ruby begins to explain the earlier encounter with the Slime Villain.
Summer as she hears it got less upset with Ruby and hugs Ruby saying "I understand but that doesn't excuse what you did"
"I know mom" Ruby said hugging her.
"Hello Summer." A voice said and the two look to see All-Might there
"All-Might, it's been a long time" Summer said with a smile
"Too long." All-Might said nodding there was almost a sense of awkwardness, to Ruby at least but she was confused "I just wanted to say your daughter did well, even if it was reckless but you know what I say is a sign of a true hero."
"There feet move before they can think through it. I know" Summer said with a nod "She already told me about the other encounter so thank you for saving her."
"It was no problem" All-Might said and looks to Ruby "Young Rose, have no fear I see in you the skill and fire to be a true hero so don't dwell on your short comings instead work to improve on them"
Ruby smiles wiping the tears away "I will."
Summer hearing footsteps looks behind All-Might and with a smirk said "Are they with you?"
All-Might looks behind him to see the gaggle of reporters who haven't had a chance to interview him coming up "Ah! I thought I lost them! Got to go!" He said and quickly runs away.
Summer giggles and said "He is still the same guy after all this time"
"You mean from your time at UA?" Ruby asked as the two walked
"Yeah, indeed" Summer said in a way that indicates there was probebly more but Ruby didn't press "Come on, let's get something to take our minds off this and head home"
"Okay mom" Ruby said with a nod. She didn't know it yet but this was just the first steps to becoming one of the greatest heroes to exist.
Here we go next is the Entrance exam saga, Yang, Blake and Weiss will appear in this but for now they are mostly supporting characters as they are second years in UA for this so hope you understand. Any other questions feel free to ask.
