Now we get to the Practical exam of the UA Entrance exam let's see how they do.

MY RWBY Academia Chapter 5
The Entrance Exam
A while later, Ruby was on the bus heading to training sight B for her entrance examine. She was in her gym suit as she gets off the bus just outside. She looks around and sees several of the other portential students for the class.
She notices the brown haired girl that helped Izuku there. She smiles and then hears a voice and looks behind her and sees that boy with the glasses yelling at Izuku again. Apparently over that he may be trying to sabotage the girl. Ruby growls and go and confront him when a voice stops him
"Hey Ruby!" The voice said and Ruby sees it is Crystal. "Hey, it looks like you and me both got course B. How you feeling?"
"I am excited but at the same time I can't help but feel nervous" Ruby said admitting that she was nervous at not being able to do well
"Hey don't sweat it" Crystal said placing her hand on her shoulder "You are going to do great, I know it"
"Thanks, that help a bit" Ruby said smiling and looks at Area B "It looks like a whole city in there" She said seeing the buildings
"Ideal training ground" Crystal said smiling "I see you friend is being harressed by that kid again"
"Yeah, what is his problem?" Ruby asked annoyed
"Don't take it personally from what I hear, he just expects the best from all students as he highly respects heroes, he's from the Ida family, they and the Arc's have a sort of friendly rivalry in the hero business" Crystal explained
"I see" Ruby said surprised and wondered if she should intervene
As she was thinking the voice of Present Mic is heard saying "Right let's start!" Everyone looks to see him on top of a tower overlooking Battlezone B "Get moving! There are no countdowns in real battles! Run! Run! Run listeners! You're wasting airtime here!"
"Oh time to go!" Crystal said and begins running
"Yeah!" She uses her quirk race ahead, she noted that Izuku was lagging behind but she decided to first get enough points to ensure her placement she will just hope Izuku's new quirk will come into effect soon
A while into the exam Ruby had managed to fight several of the robots, some conveniently hidden on roof tops so she used her speed to propel her up there to take them out.
"Okay, if my math is right I got 35 points so far" Ruby said wiping her forehead
She looks out on the field of battle and saw many of the possible students easily take out the enemies but as she looked she couldn't see Izuku.
"Come on Midorya….where are you? If you don't do anything you'll fail" Ruby said unaware a 1 pointer robot was behind her until she heard smashing and an explosion
"Phew close one..." A voice said. Ruby looks and sees Crystal know her skin was completely purple and crystal like and sees that she impaled some crystal shards in the robot.
"Oh...thanks Crystal" Ruby said rubbing her head
"It's no problem, but keep your guard up." Crystal said with a nod "These robots can be sneaky"
"Right no problem" Ruby said and resumes to fight the robots.
Meanwhile in an observation room the teachers of UA including the Headmaster and Vice Headmistress were watching the events unfold
"Clearly the students don't know how many villains are present or there locations." The Headmaster said "They have limited time and cover a vast area and hunt down every last target"
Qrow groans and said "Yes, we understand that. It's like that in nearly every entrance exam"
"Quiet Qrow, some of the faculty would need a refresher or are new to the faculty" The vice headmistress said a blonde haired worman in a white shirt, black skirt and stockings and a black cape with purple underneath. She also wore glasses. "In any case Arthur. You sure there is no risk of serious injury with the students"
Arthur who was giving commands to the various robots in play on all 7 fields said "There is always a risk of injury but if you mean intentioal harm from attacks there is a low chance of that, accidental is likely" He explained
A large man in a green outfit with a bear symbol on it asked "So what are the different strategies do students take at this?"
"Well as you can see on the feeds" The headmaster said and shows them we see one student with what looked to be multiple arms aith different face parts on the end "Some use information gathering abilities to plan out strategies" We then see the boy who harnessed Izuku and also Ruby "While others rely on speed to pull ahead of there peers."
"Of course remaining calm under pressure can be a huge advantage" The vice Head said as they see a boy with what looked to be a navel laser as well as Crystal who throws some precise crystal shards, they then see Bakugo surround by machine parts "As can pure power and combat ability. History has shown the most successful students use a combination of all these tactics"
"Exactly" The Headmaster said nodding "After all those are the students who rack up the highest scores."
"Hmmmm, I say this years group looks promising" A female teacher said smiling
"Maybe but only the best will make it through" Qrow points out to her. "I know there is one I personally am looking to making it"
"Oh yeah, your second niece of sorts is taking part this year" A man who looked like a large piece of cement said
"Indeed she is" Qrow answered
"Well there is still plenty of time before the test is done. But the real test is yet to come" Arthur said as he opens up a switch marked Yaruki Switch and presses the button. "Let's see how they react"
Ruby had taken out a few more robots getting 42 points in her head when she then heard an explosion and then a rumble. She turns to see a giant robot the size of a skyscraper roll up
"That looks like..." She said eyes widen and she knew it was the 0 point robot and she remembered Present Mic and Watts words on it and to best avoid it.
She stares in shock as she sees several of the students running away and then hear Present Mic make the call that there was only 2 minutes remaining on the clock.
Ruby was about to run when she sees Izuku sitting on the ground. She was about to call out to him to run when she sees ahead of him, trapped in the rubble the brown haired girl stuck, right in the path of the giant robot.
She then heard Crystal stopping next to her said "What does that knucklehead think he is doing?!"
"Huh?" Ruby said and looks to see Izuku running towards the hug villain and while she didn't know why she said "Crystal come on, I need your help"
"What? Why?" Crystal asked
"We need to save that girl!" Ruby said pointing and beginning to run to the girl
"Right!" Crystal said with no hesitation and runs with her.
They soon reach the girl and quickly work on getting her leg free "Thanks, I was worried it was the end for me" She said relieved
"It's no problem, we won't leave anyone behind" Ruby said with a nod
"Err guys, look" Crystal said looking up and see Izuku jumping up at the robot
Ruby watches and sees Izuku ball his hand into a fist and she noticed it surging with energy, could it be? Had he finally acquired the power of One For All? She watched as in one punch to the robot's face he took it down surprising her, Crystal and everyone present who saw it.
In the room where the faculty were watching they all stared in surprise and cheer for that. Qrow was surprised with Izuku's attack and Watts was shocked that his large creation was brought down in a single punch, it defiantly bruised his ego.
"Wow, that was amazing" The girl said seeing that and standing and they here Present Mic announce only a minute left on the clock.
"Yeah but….wait he's falling and I don't think he can land safely!" Crystal said seeing him falling down with the arm he used to punch and legs flailing
"Ah! We have to help him!" Ruby said worried
"He is falling too fast, if we try to catch him we get hurt but he will get more hurt!" Crystal points out
"I got an idea!" The girl said running to a part of a 3 pointer robot and gets on top making it float.
The two then watch as she then floats it up to Izuku who looked like he was going to punch the ground and the girl slaps him making him float and stop his fall just above the ground
"Well...that's one way to stop a fall" Crystal said sweatdropping Ruby nodding in agreement
The girl then releases her power, all floating things land on the ground. However she then begins to throw up. "Err...there, there" Ruby said surprised and pats her back
However there attention is drawn to Izuku who began to crawll with his own good arm before they could do anything they hear Present Mic said "And that's it, Time's up!" and the sirens play indicating it.
Ruby looked at the look of shock on Izuku and she was worried, did Izuku get any points at all? She went to him but saw he passed out. A crowd gathered around Izuku and the other students talked some amazed at his power and questioned why he failed to get any.
A few mocked him for not getting any points. Ruby glared and said "Hey, he did more then you running away like that!" Ruby said standing up facing them "A hero is supposed to stand up to all villains" She felt guilty as she two wanted to run
"Hey, don't blame us, wasn't going to waste time on a 0 pointer" One said shrugging
Ruby wanted to continue but Crystal stopped her "Hey, it's not worth it" Ruby sighs and nods understanding. The purple haired girl saw the boy who had harrased Izuku deep in thought
However a voice is heard saying "Very nice, good work all around. You're heroes in my eyes everyone one of you" They look to see an old woman in a doctor uniform reaching into her pocket and pulls out some gummie bears and hands them to a ruffed up student "Here, reward yourselves. Have some gummies."
"Wait is that..." Crystal said
"You are right to assume, that mademoiselle is the heart of UA" The blond haired male student with the navel laser belt said with a nod.
The doctor approaches Izuku and Ruby who was kneeling over him and looks at him "Oh my goodness, you were hurt this badly by your own quirk sonny?"
"He...isn't quite used to the impact yet plus it was very...spur of the moment" Ruby said making up an excuse
"I see, can you step back a bit" She asked and Ruby does and then she puckered her lips saying "Give me some sugar" Needless to say this surprised everyone even Ruby.
"Uh….what she doing?" A student asked
"You're seeing a school nurse in action" The blond boy said
"Yep, the youthful heroine, Recovery Girl" Crystal said nodding in agreement "Her quirk allows broken bodies to heal quickly. She is the only reason UA can hold these events so I hear"
"Correct, see she's saving him months of recovery time" The boy said motioning to Izuku's body being healed in an instant
Rcovery Girl smiled and goes to check on others who were possibly injured.
Ruby looks at Izuku and sighs worried, she hopes her friend will be okay.
A week later…
After the exam Ruby had told her family what happened during the test and needless to say the family minus Qrow, who backed her claims, was surprised to hear what Izuku did.
During the week wait for results Ruby was worried for Izuku who seemed worried and a bit out of it. Apparently he tried calling All-Might but he didn't pick up.
"Hey! You distracted sis?" Yang said as the two were playing video games
"Oh, sorry just worried about Izuku. He had his heart set out of becoming a hero" Ruby said with a sigh
"I understand but even with this new quirk that just came out of no where seemingly he had a low chance" Yang said doing her best to be kind in her wording
"It's just not fair" Ruby said tearing up a bit.
"It will be okay Ruby" Summer said coming into the room. "I am sure it will all work out"
Ruby smiles and nod, she has yet to tell her about All-Might as there hasn't been time. But when it's just them she will say soming
Just then Tai bursts into the living room nearly tripping "Ruby, they're here!" He holds out a letter with the UA seal "The UA test results!"
Ruby was surprised. She took the letter and went to her room, the rest of her family waiting. She sits at her desk and gulps 'Moment of truth time.' She opens the envelope and a device comes out
It opens up a holographic screen and a video plays featuring All-Might "Booyah! I am here as a projection now!" Ruby yelped in surprised at that as it was sudden
"Hang on! All-Might. What's he doing on something from UA?" Ruby asked confused
"I know it's been a while but with great power comes great amount of paperwork" All-Might said and clears his through and bows "My apologies young lady. The truth is I didn't come to this city just to fight villains. You're looking at the newest UA faculty member!"
"Wait...that means you'll be working at UA?" Ruby asked shocked and amazed
All-Might nods and looks at the director "Yes, yes I know but I like to show her something too. Wait seriously we're not even half way done?" He groans a bit annoyed "Right, moving along!" Ruby braced herself "You were able to pass the written test. You scoured only 42 in the combat test, unfortunately this was just short the passing practical mark."
"So I didn't make it either" Ruby said looking down
"However there were other factors in the exam" All-Might said surprising Ruby "But first a nice little clip for your viewing pleasure" He plays something on the TV
On it shows Crystal checking on Izuku in the nurses office and making sure he was okay. Ruby didn't know Crystal did this. An older boy who Ruby knew as Jaune came in
"Crystal?" Ruby said surprised
"She went to the nurses office and there she talked about you young lady" All-Might said and Ruby was surprised "What did she say in this, just stay tuned and find out!" He resumes it
"Crystal? You okay?" Jaune asked her
"Yeah. Just checking on this one. I was there when he took down this robot. Ruby was obsessed with protecting him" Crystal said with a nod
"Really? Well no wonder with what her sister said about them being friends for a long time" Jaune said with a nod
"I guess but it was inspiring, so much so I helped her in saving someone. I just hope she passes, if she doesn't I will give up my place for her" Crystal said placing her hand on her chest "It be unfair for UA to not allow someone who inspires hope and bravery like that in."
"Very noble of you little sis" Jaune said and hugs her and the video pauses Ruby was shocked and touched by this.
"She is right about that. Actions can inspire others as well as any Quirk" All-Might said and Ruby smiles happy at this "That is why I am here, you see the piratical exam wasn't graded on combat alone." Ruby was surprised. He resumed the video
"However I don't think you need to be too concerned" Jaune said to Crystal's surprised "I think Ruby is on a good course" The video ends
"How can a Hero course reject someone who is committed to saving others, no matter the consequences to herself." All-Might states "After all that is what makes a hero and that's what my old Academy is all about. Training those who would risk there lives for the greater good"
Ruby gasped and saw the results board one was marked villain with her 42 score by here name and another marked Rescue
"So we have Rescue points. A panel of judges watches and they reward points for heroic acts beyond just fighting villains." All-Might explained "Ruby Rose, 57 rescue points! And Crystal Arc, 44 Rescue points!" Ruby hearing that as she can also see Izuku's name on the board and smiles seeing him getting 60 points but she was mostly happy right now she didn't let everyone down. She teared up a bit
"You both pass the exam." All-Might states to her "Welcome Ruby. You are here now, a part of the Hero Academia."
Ruby cries and wipes her eyes. She made it, to the school she wished to attend. She sniffs and sorts herself. She then goes and opens the door and sees her parents and sister look at her. She just gives a smile and said "I'm in"
"Oh that's great sis!" Yang said grabbing her and hugging her
"My little rose...she's all grown up" Tai said tearing up he was so happy
Summer smiles and goes to the kitchen and brings out a cake which said 'Congratulations' on it "A little bird said I had to by it"
"Uncle Qrow?" Ruby said surprised and she smiled happy as the family celebrated Ruby getting into UA.
Ruby is now into UA next time will be a small break before we get onto the next arc of this story enjoy ^^
