Well with this chapter we will offically have caught up but this version will have a bit of a bonus exclusive for the version just for you all ^^

My RWBY Academia Chapter 8
Quirk Apprehension Tests
Ruby and the rest of the Class were prepared for Mr. Aizawa and Hazel's Quirk Apprehension course, all knowing they had to do there best and not come in last or be expelled
Well Penny was exempted from the contest portion but was still taking part in it using only 10% of the power her core gives her.
The first test was the 50M dash. Quite simple really two classmates run 50M's and a little camera robot mesasures the length of time it took.
Ruby first watches as Tenya races against the frog like girl Tsuyu Asui and easily win with his Engine quirk "Woah that was fast…"
"Yeah, the Ida family quick has always been like that" Crystal said laughing
"Well, he's definitely in his element" Aizawa said calmly "But speed won't help you in every test"
"No but I can easily past this one" Crystal said as she gets to the starting line, she was racing against Oscar.
Suddenly a title card on Ruby appears and Present Mic is heard saying "Ruby Rose, her quirk Petal Whirlwind! She bursts into a tornado or red petals that gives her a boot of speed however if she uses it too much she gets dizzy and loses focus.
When the starting pistol fired Ruby used her Quirk to turn into a tornado of rose petals and zooms across the course. She can see Oscar launch himself forward using his shield quick which surprised her.
"3.14 seconds" The robot said for Ruby's time and when Oscar crossed it said "6.05 seconds."
"Wow Oscar…how did you do that?!" Ruby asked amazed
"I learned it while training for the entrance exam" Oscar said rubbing his head "I learned if I make the centre of my shields thin enough to make then bouncy it helped a bit in the exam."
The same title card appears and Present Mic said "Oscar Pine, his quirk Mystic Shields he can conjure up magical shields to protect himself and others from damage and recently learned to make them bouncy and relefctive. However it only lasts as his focus and contant hits from oppoants put stain on the focus.
"Well, that is amazing Ruby said giggling
They then watch as they watched others like the brown haired girl Ochaco Uraraka, the boy with a tail arm Mashirao Ojiro, the boy with the navel lazer belt Yuga Aoyama, Mina Ashido do there runs. Crystal also did hers with Penny the latter got 2.59 seconds while Crystal got 6.45 seconds
"Looks like we have a huge variety of powers here" Oscar said, "Through I do wonder why our teacher is doing this."
"I am sure it is just to see the limits we currently have for our powers" Ruby said thinking on it
"Next up Bakugo, Midorya!" Hazel calls out and the two former friends step up to take their places and when it time Bakugo wasted no time using his quirk for a boost in speed and easily was the faster of the two because of it
"My power has more uses then anyone else in this school" Bakugo said simply
'Geez what an ego' Ruby said and looks at Izuku, knowing why he isn't using his quirk, but she was worried now
"Hmmmm, the boy with the powerful punch, make sense he wouldn't do well on a speed test" Hazel said
"He shouldn't even be here" Aizawa said "I already know who will be at the bottom, I just want him to see before I remove him"
Hazel looks at him and sighs his fellow teacher was hard to impress he would expel any of his students if he didn't believe they were cut to be a hero, so he wasn't surprised about this at all.
The next test was Grip Strength, the students are each given a hand-held device to measure the grips in kilograms.
Ruby tries to squeeze hard she could, her quirk would help. She looked at her result 55.0KG "Make sense" She sighed
"Wow you hit 540.0 kilograms?" A kid named Sero said in amazement as he and another Mineta were checking out Mezo Shoji's results who thanks to having four arms was able to use two hands instead of one.
"Hey Ruby. Check this out" Crystal said getting her friends attention She squeeze but also turned her arm into her crystal form and her results came to 470.0kg
"Wow, amazing!" Ruby said smiling at that
"Yeah, this test definitely has more strength in mind then speed" Mina said sighing as her results were closer to Ruby's
"Hey, you got your chance to shine along with Ruby, this is my turn" Crystal said giggling
Again the title card and Present Mic said "Crystal Arc, her quirk Crystalize, he body can turn entirly crystal giving her a strength and endurance boost, she can also shoot crystal sharks from her hands but like most hardening quirks it can only take so much abuse before shattering.
"Still we have 6 more chances to shine more" Ruby said and looks at Izuku and could tell this was another fail for him here.
Next tests were Long Jumping and side stepping. The first was self-explanatory, see how far over a sandbox you can jump, clearing the sandbox is an automatic success.
Bakugo, Aoyama and Ruby were able to clear it with there quirks using speed and hight. Oscar was just about able to clear it using his shield quirk while Crystal got close to the edge of the sandbox way using her crystal quirk to give her a bit of a lift but Izuku only got half way across.
The next repeated side-step Oscar with his bouncy shield again was able to do well but the bounces weren't as fast then Mineta's with his purple hair balls. Crystal and Ruby did alright.
Then it came to the one Aizawa use to introduce this Quirk Apprehension tests, the Ball Throw. The first was Uraraka who throws the ball and it goes off into the sky and probably space. Aizawa shows the result of distance which was just the Infinity symbol
"INFINITY?!" Everyone even Penny said in complete shock
"That's insane" the yellow electric haired boy named Denki said shocked "How's that possible?!"
"I am not sure even my power at 100% could achieve that" Penny said curious
"Alright, next up, Midorya, time for your throw" Hazel said getting a new ball from the basket for him to use "Good luck" he goes to join Aizawa and await his throw
Ruby looked on worried, including this one there was only 4 more tests before this was over and while she, Oscar and Crystal have had at least one moment to truly shine so far.
"If Midorya doesn't shape up soon he's the one going home" Ida said observing
"Huh? Of course, he is, he's a Quirkless loser" Bakugo points out to him
"He has a Quirk" Ida said surprised at that
"Yeah, did you not hear what he did in the Entrance exam, I'm sure there was talk about it at the end of the exams" Crystal said just as surprised
"Huh?" Bakugo said confused by that
"Yeah, I heard the same as Ruby told me" Oscar said
Everyone watches as Izuku prepares his throw they see power surge into his arm and then he throws and his ball lands only a bit away "46 Metres" The distance robot said to everyone's surprise
"W-What?" Ruby said surprised
"W-What gives, I was trying to use it just now?" Izuku said in shock.
"I erased your Quirk" Aizawa said and everyone looks and shocked as they see his hair and scarf flowing around him and his eyes glowing red "The judges for this exam, were not rational enough. Someone like you should never be allowed to enrol in this school"
'Erased his quirk…wait could it be…' Ruby thought then she saw them around Aizawa's neck which before were hidden by his scarf were some yellow goggles
Izuku noticed them as well and said "Those goggles, I know you! You can look at someone and cancel out there powers, the Erasure Hero, Eraser Head."
Eraser, who's that?" The read heard boy Eijiro Kirishima asked.
"He isn't one for spotlights, but he is a well-known stealth fighter" Crystal said
"Yeah, he and my uncle are friends, mainly cause their Qurirks work well together." Ruby said now remembering where she knows Aizawa from.
Hazel watches this but he looks and sees watching from round a corner was All-Might but he kept quiet.
"You're not ready, you don't have control over your power" Aizawa states shocking Izuku and Ruby could only watch on "Were you planning on breaking your bones again? Counting on someone else like Rose maybe to save your useless body?" That made Ruby surprised, his observation or memory must have been amazing for him to pick up that her and Izuku were good friends
"No! That's now what I'm trying do" Izuku said only to be grabbed by Aizawa's scarf and pulled in
[Note: I know the following part was probably said low enough that the others couldn't hear but given it's the same as the normal speaking voice before I will role that Ruby could hear and adjust accordingly]
"No matter what your intentions are, you'll be nothing but a liability in battle" Aizawa said
"Hey, you…" Ruby began but Crystal stopped her
"Best to not get in the middle" Crystal said
"You have the same, reckless passion as another overzealous hero I know, one who saved a thousand people by himself and became a legend" Aizawa said and looks to his right clearly knowing All-Might was there "But even with that drive you're worthless if you can only throw a single punch before breaking down. Sorry Midorya, with your power there is no way you can become a hero"
Ruby hearing this looks down as she knew those words were true, but she wanted to say something in Izuku's defence but couldn't find the words. She looks up and sees a determined look on Izuku's face.
"Alright, that's enough Aizawa, let's give him his final throw" Hazel said, "No interference this time."
Aizawa complies releasing Izuku and his hair and scarf go back to there normal state, the teacher said "I've returned your impractical Quirk, take your final throw, hurry and get it over with" He walks off the area to monitor.
Hazel hands Izuku the ball again and said "Make it count Midorya, you have one shot to prove him wrong if you can"
"I wonder if our teacher gave him some advice in that speech he gave" Ida said thinking
"Maybe" Penny said thinking
"It's obvious it's his way of saying to start packing" Bakugo said
Ruby gulps nervous as she watches "Come on Izuku…you can do it…" She said.
"It's nice you have faith in him hopefully it won't be in vain" Crystal said still recalling seeing Izuku with his broken body
Everyone watches as for a while Izuku stands there. Hazel said "You know this is a double edged sword you put him in."
"Indeed, does he use that quirk and forfeit the remaining tests or give up here and settle in last place." Aizawa said as he applies some eye drops to his eyes "Either way he doesn't belong here, and I doubt there is a third option from what I've seen"
The two keep watching and see a determined look in Izuku's eyes as he readies. Oscar watching said "I don't want to watch but I can't look away"
"Here it comes" Penny also said
Izuku readies to throw and everyone watches intently and he goes to throw. "Woah, he's actually going to do it?!" Crystal said surprised
"Come on Izuku" Ruby said hopefully
"SMASSSSSH!" Izku calls out as he throws the ball a shockwave of wind going through the grounds shocking everyone as they look to the sky.
"Wow…" Ruby said amazed and looked down being the first and could see Izuku's arm was fine she was happy but then noticed that one finger was broken and bruised
"Amazing…he must have put all the power of his quirk into his finger at the last second" Oscar said also seeing it
The ball lands and on the phone Aizawa was using it read 705.3 just a 0.1 higher of Bakugo's.
"Mr. Aizawa, Mr. Hazel" Izuku said turning to them and looks a bit in pain as he clenched his hand "You see, I'm still standing."
"Well…that is amazing, looks like he found a third option after all" Hazel said impressed
Aizawa smiles but it was a mix of annoyed and surprise as he just said "This kid…"
"You okay Ruby?" Crystal asked as she was the most worried for Izuku.
"Yeah…I'm fine" Ruby said tears a bit as she thinks 'I used to think I have to keep protecting Izuku, making sure he was alright and all but now…I feel I don't have to be always there to look out for him all the time. I won't stop but I will focus on my self as well. Let's be great heroes together Izuku.'
And all caught up and so you know the bonus was the Present Mic Title cards since on Devientart people know the quirks of the RWBY characters so on here I wll introduce them at times I see fit. But now we caught up so I am now open to suggestions for future chapters if you have ideas so please read, review and suggest and thank you for reading ^^
