The fox and the dog chapter 2 the portal to the demon world
This chapter will cover episodes 70-72

I will get into her new abilities along with have her deal with her dealing with other changes to the world from it

Towa pov
It was the start July, and I woke up with even better hearing and with a weird feeling on my back. But it wasn't until I went to the bathroom that I noticed I had dog ears and a small dog tail and with that I knew right away I needed to call Genkai at best she would know a way to fix it or at least help me. the response my teacher gave me was, "come over you aren't the first to have weird problems and I am afraid you might not be the last if my theories are right. Also tell me if anything else weird happens on the way over." As my teacher guessed, something weird did happen and it was other dogs on the way to Genkai's compound would follow me and even listen to me. I was close to the area before I told the dogs to go home, and they did but not before asking me in barks which I understood as "this place seems dangerous; will you be safe alpha." I told them yes and that we could play after I sorted things out.
When I arrived at Genkai's place, I found three boys also there. They gave me weird looks as the old woman said "stop stare and give me a little time to look her over in private. She then took me to a room with a lock and had me strip down and said "well be happy this tail is pretty small. From what I heard about your grandfather and father in old records, they both had lot fluffy tails and for your ears they match stories of your uncle. He would come after your aunt and people would talk about his ears looking like yours. The good news is Inuyasha would cover his with hats and your tail shouldn't be too hard to cover. Bad news is I can't help you until we discover why you grew them. but I can write you a doctor's note until they are covered."
It was after a while, Genkai set the plan train with our skills with a few weeks while Genkai was trying to figure what's going. Through said practice, I learned one of my new teammates was an underclassman and said boy didn't even know I was a girl until now. That boy had the power to make words or action taboo with the cost of breaking said taboo removing souls. The others had the power to freeze people using their shadows and to change forms. Then I figured my power could do more than just order dogs but let me see through their eyes and it limit was up to twenty dogs. Genkai also trained me to fight Yusuke on a better level if needed. But in time the old lady discovered someone was trying to open a hole to the demon world and we would need her successor and his team to help solve the problem.
After we were ready, the four of us help catch Yusuke and lure his friends to a special place to test and prepare them. But in the end, I never needed to test my enhanced abilities against the so-called spirit detective. But we did prepare to try and solve the problem with the hole before it gets too late.
It was after that; Shuichi began to explain how his tunnel worked and after that Genkai said "the human and demon worlds were one world at one point but during the end of the waring states era the worlds were split mostly due to the actions of the Tokugawa and Oda factions trying to purge demons and gods from the land. Then the final seal was placed during the Meiji era and kept the strongest demons locked away."
After that, the blue haired girl's bad began to beep and she opened it to reveal a TV as a voice from it said, "is Yusuke there is an emergency?" Genkai replied "we are all here and know about the gate. Towa is here and was affected in ways I didn't expect. But even normal humans in the city closest to the hole are gaining strange powers." After that the child on the screen explained how this breach worked and how at the higher levels some of the worse demons that existed in the era, I came from could emerge once again and some of those are as strong as an enemy that trouble Yusuke and his friends in a recent tournament. Then I asked, "how strong is my father on that scale?" Koenma replied "I think I remember Sesshomaru was at least at the lower end of A class. But we lost track of him a very long time ago."
The blue haired girl then asked about safeguards and the child ruler replied with "There are minor safeguards in the form of barrier that keeps the strongest demons out but those of Toguro's level could still pass through. The Miko that allowed full unification could only do that much." After that the four of us on Genkai's team introduced ourselves and our powers and the short guy and Shuichi were surprised by the fact I was a half demon living in the modern era. But the boy with the beat-up face asked me "who is Sesshomaru and why do you have a hat on?" Genkai replied with "he is a powerful dog demon and as a half demon. The rush of demonic energy not only gave Towa the power of territory but brought out more demonic traits in her body." I then said "I have the power leader of the pack, it lets me dominate up to twenty dogs over a large area and even see through their eyes."
It wasn't long after that, Koenma chimed back in and said, "the tunnel will open in three weeks." With that timeline, we decided to sleep in the house and begin the hunt after that.
Kurama pov
the next morning, we split into two groups with a group of Boton, Kaito, Kuwabara and I checking the portal out while the more combat oriented group was hunting for the person or people trying to open the portal. But when my group made it to the spot, we found the real tunnel was underground and I discovered using my keenly honed thief senses that somebody was watching us from the shadows.
Towa pov
The second group was Yusuke, Genkai, the other two boys and I and it wasn't long until we hit a territory and that led us to a dirty bar, and we soon found a guy laughing that was the user of said territory. We soon figured out the guy was likely a telepath and after a few tests we learned he was a telepath as he took out the guy that caught Yusuke. But Yusuke was a the perfect person to take out the man by secretly using better speed and spirit powered punch with a shock wave included.
Most everybody around was shocked and kind of surprised that was only thirty percent of the boy's power and knew I would likely have to put more power behind the hit to achieve a similar effect. Then after our shapeshifter did a check and proved the guy was ok, the normal people in the bar freaked out and I hoped they wouldn't have to see anything else that broke them further. It was after that Kurama texted me since I was the only one with a cellphone, that his group would soon rejoin ours.
After that, we left the bar so our telepath could try and find the man who is opening the portal. After a false lead, he found the real guy and pointed him out to us. But as soon as we all saw the man, an object hit our newest teammate and gave the newly revealed man a chance to escape into the crowd. I did notice the man had a dot on his forehead similar to people from India. But after that we had to leave our escaped target to take the telepath to a hospital. On the ride there we found out; the sniper that hit him used an eraser head likely as a warning shot.
After we got the telepath to a more stable place, our recovered telepath revealed the group was seven member that consisted of Gatekeeper, Sniper, Doctor, Seaman, gamemaster, Gourmet and Dark angel. then from that we could tell those code names and keys to each member's power. we started to mix ideas and figured the man with the dot on his head didn't shoot and that the shooter was likely sniper. I just hoped the names would help us on some level but with seven enemies' things could be just as hard.
Chapter end
The next chapter will start the battles against doctor and have our heroes have to make hard choices to win and take a break with the next chapter
But first the twin sisters will have deal with multiple Nobunaga and help decide who the best summer swords master is
