Wishfull-star: (o^ ^o)

I have so many stories to edit. One story only has one chapter left, so I'd like to start posting a new one.

1. Zombie apocalypse au with Luffy, Ace and Law being the ones behind it (not a secret lol)

2. Baby Luffy who turned into a vampire, Katakuri is his adoptive dad and takes good care of him. Fluffy story.

3. Ace develops some sort of unknown disease that causes his life to spiral into deep depression and having most people abandon him for it. Basically all angst/hurt/comfort.

4. Demon slayer au where Ace dies and is transported to DS world.

5. Luffy son of Katakuri in big mom pirates. Eventual Zolu and Luffy turning into a vampire. You can imagine how the BM pirates react to that.

6. Jujutsu Kaisen au with young Luffy having a power to get rid of curses/demons. Fluffy and mc is Luffy and our lovely Gojo Satoru.

7. Bleach au with Ace and Ichigo as mcs. Another story where Ace comes from Marineford into another world.

Please vote, I'm drowning in which one to post!

Ace suddenly felt something crawl up his arm, and looked down to see it was turning brown. He exclaimed in shock and worry, getting everyone's attention. He tried wiping the brown off frantically, but it stayed, and his skin started to roughen and harden. He was panicking. Marco was in front of him, and reminded him that he absorbed the magic from someone who could control trees.

"This is that reaction. Calm down," he soothed. Ace was breathing in panic, but he was calming down. But the wood grew until it dug into the ground without his permission. He winced as the island rejected the intrusion, and he couldn't pull it out before he felt he was being electrocuted and started screaming.

Sabo and Marco were trying to pull his arm out of the ground, and Lisanna was digging at it, but the roots continued to grow deeper and deeper. Was this what he got for killing a man? Was this his remaining life making Ace suffer? It hurt, really bad, and finally Sabo forced Ace unconscious while they dug the roots out.

They kept his arm away from the ground so it didn't go back in and make him injured again. Sabo was freaking out, not knowing what he should do. Marco was nervous, too, and explained what Ace himself thought. "He took the magic away from someone and then killed him. Do you think this is that man's magic hurting him for it?"

Mira was injured but awake, and said they didn't know the affects of his absorption enough to make assumptions. Nobody wanted to panic about Ace's safety. The roots shot out suddenly and wrapped around Levy's neck. Elfman was injured, but didn't hesitate to cut Levy free, slicing through the wooden arm.

Sabo screamed in anger, but the wood disappeared and turned back into fire, gathering at where Ace's hand should be, and reforming into his smooth skin, his mark back on his wrist. "How could you risk that?!" Sabo demanded. Elfman said being armless was better than killing a family member.

Ace's hand fell back to the ground, but he was put in a clear cage by Levy. So he couldn't risk hurting himself or somebody else. Those at camp were silent, trying to hear. Sabo had left to go help while Ace stayed unconscious. Then they heard the sounds of cracking and shattering, and watched through the canopy above as the Tenrou tree broke at the base, and fell.

Silent in shock and horror, it took them a moment to realize they were all suddenly drained of magic power, exhausted. All of them. Ace woke up when this happened, which was the opposite of what should have happened. He sat up, only for his face to run into an invisible wall. He pressed his hands around and foud he was in a box.

His friends were there, and looking fearful and panicked. But not long later, the feeling of magic came back, even if the huge tree was still broken and only some roots connected to the ground. Ace asked what happened. "Your arm sort of went out of control and got you hurt. We've kept you isolated to not hurt anyone or yourself," Levy said. So that was the box he was in.

"I can get out and fight!" Ace insisted. Mira looked at him, and said there was no shame in losing a battle. "There is when it's against yourself!" They knew that he was right. He hadn't fought and lost, he'd just ruined his own chances.

Lisanna said that Ace already took out two of them. Marco had told them. Ace didn't mention that it was him taking out the tree man that caused this. Ace did hope he was dead and nothing else happened. "This place doesn't have any magic I can safely absorb."

"You were screaming in pain about it. Was it because of the roots?" Ace shrugged, but mentioned how it felt when he tried before. Ace was ashamed and embarrassed that his team, Natsu's team, was trying to defeat Grimoie Heart without him. He knew they'd have taken him too if he wasn't in a bad shape, but it still hurt that he couldn't go with them.

"Where's Marco and Sabo?" Ace asked.

"Looking for Zeref. Sabo intends to try to reason with him with Marco as back up to keep him safe in case Zeref attacks. We tried to stop them, but they left anyways," Evergreen said from her mat, as she'd been very injured like Elfman. They'd fought together. Ace felt a bit bad he stole their enemy before they could defeat him, but he had to. It was the right choice.

Ace started pounding on the clear box, and demanded they let him out. "Sabo said to not let you out no matter what," Lisanna said. Ace asked why, feeling hurt. "It… was clearly personal feelings. He didn't want you to get hurt." Ace scowled, annoyed. Then he was fine with Marco dying, too, then. Ace was furious, now. That both of them left him behind like that.

Turning up the heat on his hands, Ace pressed them to the box, but it didn't break. "Fucking let me out! That's my brother!" Ace shouted. "You and Mira fought together, didn't you?! Why can't I do the same?!" This made Levy release the box, looking regretful as Ace sprinted away, following the trail he sensed from Sabo.

They weren't too far, and Ace jumped out, and ran up behind Sabo, stopping when he saw he was speaking with the dark wizard. "We don't want anyone to get anymore hurt here," Sabo said calmly. "They're out friends, and the island has already been terribly destroyed," he insisted, ignoring Ace. Marco grabbed the freckled one's hand. Maybe for comfort, maybe to keep him in this place.

"I didn't plan to do anything in this age. But things have changed." He seemed different now. Not upset, and it looked more like he was in control of his power when he hadn't been before. He'd seemed more emotional before. "Besides, it's too late for this island." Marco asked what he meant. "Acnologia is on his way."

None of them had heard that name, not even Sabo. "I do hope you survive. You're brave to face me like this."

"You seemed a bit reasonable before," Sabo said. "Please, get off this island." Zeref said it was his plan. Sabo thanked him. He was just trying to be gone, he didn't respect Zeref based on everything he'd done in his entire 400 year lifespan, doing countless dark things. "Thank you for being reasonable."

"Yes. I do hope you survive what's coming," and then he disappeared. Sabo fell to his knees, panting, eyes wide. Ace hurried to him, and asked what was wrong. He said talking to him had been like he was slowly suffocating.

Ace hugged him, and Sabo was shaking. He had truly been afraid. "At least he's leaving, but we have to tell everyone a new threat is coming," Marco said, and they sprinted back, the others happy to see the three were fine. They didn't look injured, only tired. Sabo looked drained of energy.

More people were gathered, but not Ace's group fighting Hades. "How'd it go?" Freed asked.

"He's leaving the island. I was able to talk with him a bit. But he said we have a new threat called Acnologia. He didn't say who it was. But someone else strong is coming. We don't have the man power. Everyone is inured, and Erza's group will no doubt come back exhausted."

Levy said their ship had been destroyed, so they had no hope of leaving the island anytime soon. "We'll have to deal with a new enemy. The seven main ones were all defeated. Hopefully they can take down the leader of them, though. Maybe. If it isn't damaged too much, we could take Grimoire Heart's ship."

"That's not possible," the Master said, awake. Everyone was happy he woke up. "That runs on magic none of us can conjure. And Ace won't be absorbing anything from that ship, or any other enemy." Ace agreed to this with no resistance. But suddenly, they all heard a rushing sound, and a breaking and creaky noise, and looked up to see the broken Tenrou tree slowly rise itself back up, the roots sinking back into the ground, reforming and healing itself.

All their magic power came back, and it caused a collective gasp as magic flooded into them. Those wounded were still wounded, but a bit more comfortable than before. Ace sighed and leaned against Marco, not letting him lay down and fall asleep right now. Ace didn't know if he would at this time, though.

He wrapped his arms around Ace's waist, not even trying to hide it. He nuzzled Ace's hair. Nobody around really looked even slightly surprised. Maybe they'd been super obvious with all the whispering and blushes. They also didn't say anything or give them looks. It was a huge relief. Mira giggled, and said it made sense why he never showed interest before.

Ace flushed, but smiled, and nodded in agreement. Elfman and Evergreen looked away from one another, and Ace wondered if something happened. They had fit together like oil and water before, but they had done the S-Class fight against Mira and lost, after all.

When they heard the crash of the ship at the beach, those uninjured enough to move sprinted there, and saw Hades there, severely wounded and unable to move. His group was tied and injured as well. "You could have asked me to come, you know," Ace said sadly. Lucy looked guilty.

"You were unconscious." It wasn't a good excuse. They could have woken him. And Wendy went, not even fully part of their team. Ace felt kind of like he was replaced by this. Maybe Wendy would work best with their group, and Ace should permanently go with Sabo and Marco. Who knows? They could figure that out when they got home.

The Master went to the leader of the enemies, who wished for the third Master to kill him. But Makarov refused. He was actually going to let Hades leave the island, despite his vow to return. Ace didn't think this was right, but Ace wouldn't kill him off. Not again. He wouldn't surprised if that one guy was dead by hanging. But he wasn't going to go check.

Ace didn't pay attention to their conversation, unable to hear it clearly regardless. Wedny went to Ace, and apoligzed. "For what?" ace asked.

"I… I got to go, and you didn't. I'm not even part of the group, but I feel like I replaced you. I'm sorry." Ace put his hand on her head.

"It's not like you thought 'oh, I can replace Ace this time. They'll think I'm awesome' or something like that. I'm glad you helped them when I couldn't. Six people in one group, well, eight with Happy and Carla, might be too big, huh?" he mused. He looked at Marco and Sabo. Neither were paying attention to Ace's conversion. Nobody was.

"No! You can't leave for me. It would just be reduced to seven. Besides, I'm too weak to be in the strongest team, right? I can't fight that well," she said, sounding insecure.

"I think you're very strong. And you helped defeat Hades while I was just sleeping after doing something stupid." She pointed out that he easily beat someone Wendy, Panther Lily and Mest couldn't. Now he knew what if felt like to have your compliment rejected. Ace said he was glad he took him out. He accepted it, not pointing out that it backfired.

He said they should go back to camp. "I really want you to stay," Wendy said sadly.

"We'll see how it goes, okay? This conversation if between you and me, okay?" Ace asked. The girl nodded, promising not to tell anybody. But Happy was behind them when they didn't noticed, and Ace heard sniffling, turning around to see the blue Exceed crying. "What's wrong?"

"You're gonna leave us?" he asked, thick tears in his eyes. Ace opened his arms and Happy jumped in. He told him it wasn't set in stone. He just had things to think about. "But we really like you! It wasn't planned to not bring you along!" Ace smiled at him, but didn't promise he'd stay. He didn't want to break that promise.

He told him they'd all have a long, serious talk about it when they got home. When they went back to camp, Ace was frustrated, and asked if anyone was concerned about what they heard from Zeref. Many dropped their mouths open. "Sabo talked to him, and he told us another enemy is coming! That was like, an hour ago!" Ace said in annoyance.

Everyone was gathered, even Laxus showed up again, somehow. Ace didn't know why he was there. He wasn't a good guy to the guild based on what Ace had seen, no matter how much Natsu tried to convince him Laxus was a good man at heart. Gildarts asked the name. "I don't know who it is, but the name is Acnologia. Have you heard of him?" Sabo asked.

They all grew pale when Gildarts did, if someone like him reacted that way. He was the strongest in the guild but for the Master. "We have to run! Acnologia is a dragon. The one who stole two of my limbs!" he said, sounding more angry than panicked. "Did Zeref call him?!" Sabo said he seemed more regretful about it. "You trust the word of someone that evil?" Gildarts asked, but not in a cruel way. Though Sabo turned red.

"A real dragon? Do you think he knows where Igneel is?!" The other two dragon slayers were also excited. But Gildarts said it was not a friendly dragon at all. But they had no time to run or hide anywhere when they heard a dragon's roar. Not like the dragon slayer's roars, it was a deep, rumbling one that vibrated Ace's body.

He felt fear fill him. And looking around, the others, many of them, had that same face, the shaking and sweat. When they saw the source of the sound, they saw just how massive the thing was. It was way bigger than the whole fairy tail guild.

It landed with a massive "wham!" and a cloud of dust and dirt. Stone cracked below him, and they all made surprised nosies. Besides Natsu, who demanded to know where Igneel was. Gildarts told them all to run, but Ace couldn't. He couldn't die again. Marco grabbed him and ran with him.

As they returned to the ship, running as fast as they could through the forest, the Master stopped, and told them to run before he used his magic to grow in size, big enough to hold onto Acnologia to try and stall the dragon. "Master!" Ace called, unable to let a father figure who welcomed him, his strange history and all, die right in front of him.

Sabo stopped, too, tears in his eyes. Marco tried getting them to run again, but they didn't. Nobody did, even when the Master told them to follow his damn orders. But the last straw was when he was pinned to the ground by the massive thing, unable to get back up as claws dug into him.

Everyone turned and ran back, ready to attack. Marco blanketed all of them in a hallucination of thinking they were stronger. It might hurt later on since it was only their mind reaction, not their body, but it helped, and their attacks turned faster and more forceful. Ace shot fire at the dragon, but it didn't work, like the rest of the others. Nothing hurt it, it seemed to anger it! They were all thrown back as the dragon soon flew high above them.

Sabo put a forcefield about them all, but even he was tired from the day's obstacles and trials. The breath attack was coming, and nobody thought Sabo's protection spell would stop it.

They all knew it, and nobody protested Erza saying they should join hands. To focus magic, maybe, but nobody wanted to die all alone. Hopefully it would be faster and less traumatizing than drowning had been. Though it might not matter if he never woke up again. If he didn't appear in some other world suddenly. Forgetting his former life.

They were all going to die. Ace held Sabo and Natsu's hands tightly. If he'd wake up in another world again, hopefully others would go with him. Not Edolas, but somewhere. Maybe he'd return home, who knows?

As the breath attack hit them, it obliterated the island, and everything went black. Nothing was left. They were all dead.

Ace's eyes snapped open, and he looked around to see he was surrounded by his friends, who were all unconscious, too, but breathing! They survived! Ace made to run to them, but suddenly he lost all his strength and power, only for it to come back100 times more powerful, hurting his body but not ripping it apart.

It ebbed and flowed until it disappeared for awhile. Looking around, he saw the island was intact just fine, but the light coming from above was a dull blue. He couldn't see very well besides when fireflies came out.

Trying to ignore the mystery of how any of them were alive and the island intact, he tried to wake his friends and family. Nobody awoke, they didn't even twitch. Screaming in their ears didn't work, neither did hitting them or punching them. Neither did placing a heated hand on them work.

He stood there, confused. They were all asleep, but he was awake. All alone. What now? He sat down and curled into a ball, not having any idea what happened or what he should do now. The pain came back, and he kept in screams. He didn't care if it hurt. Ace just wanted to wake up from this dream. He knew it wasn't Marco's hallucination power, this was real. His brother and boyfriend were unreachable. Neither were his good friends from his team. Even Gildarts was out. They were all just unconscious, sleeping very deeply.

The loneliness was crushing, and the feeling was familiar from his old life. After a long time, he decided to look around for any clues, before a woman showed up. Well, a girl. Ace couldn't tell her age. She looked serene, and Ace just didn't have the emotional or magical energy to prepare himself for any attack. She had very long blonde hair and her eyes seemed both calm and empty.

"Everyone is fine, and the island is safe." Her voice was soft and kind. Ace asked when they'd wake up. "When the time is right." Ace wanted a more specific answer, but asked who she was. "I am Mavis Vermillion, the first guild Master of Fairy Tail. I protected the island from Acnologia's attack."

"Why am I not asleep, too?" Her face grew sad, and he was worried. Was he sick? Maybe he'd die or something while everyone was asleep? She answered quickly, which Ace appreciated.

She said, "I am not able to put you to sleep as well. If I did, your body would eventually absorb all the magic of the island, and it and those on it would die." Ace would kill them all? Just by sleeping? "You will stay awake until the island is ready to return. It will be lonely," she said honestly. Tears were in Ace's eyes. He asked about his brother, he was from the same place. "His body is not like yours. Yours is special. Even more so, now."

"What do you mean?"

"You've absorbed dragon ethernano." Ace furrowed his brows, and said it would go away. "You're body will be frozen in time here, without aging. You have no way to discharge that energy. It will become permanent." Ace frowned, and looked at his hands. He asked if it would kill him. "You won't die from it. I'll make sure of that."

"What will happen to me? Will I get sick? That dragon was strong, surly I'll have terrible side effects, like just that wood guy!" Ace insisted, sure something would go wrong.

She told him, "You will become a dragon slayer. Like Natsu, Wendy and Gajeel. And any others out there."

"But I wasn't raised by a dragon!" She said he had gotten magic from one, whether it took years or seconds. There was no way back from this. "Will I turn evil? Acnologia is bad, right? He killed us all for no reason." He was scared, and dumbstruck. She was very kind and said he would not turn evil. Plus, if he were to, this island would keep him safe.

"You are no enemy of Fairy Tail, you bear the mark." Ace didn't want to be a dragon slayer. Plus, he was fire. He'd take Natsu's spot as a fire dragon! "Will things be like this a long time? All alone?" She said she wasn't sure just how long it would take. She would be with him. "It would be cruel of me to do this to you and leave you alone and isolated."

Ace fell to his knees and started sobbing. He barely got any time with Marco as they were. Sabo was gone for now, too. Ace wouldn't see his friends in a long time. No way would it be a couple days, weeks or months. He had a feeling he'd be all alone for awhile, even if Mavis kindly kept him company. It wouldn't be the same.

He looked at his hands, and dug them into the dirt below. "I… I will use this time to become strong. So nobody can hurt my friends again." Mavis smiled and nodded.

-x-

"Is hurts!" Ace cried as his body changed shape into that of a dragon. Looking in the reflection of the crystal wall across from Mavis's grave, he saw he looked nothing like Acnologia did, thank god. Mavis wasn't around right now, so nobody heard his cry. His pet lion was watch him in the clearing, her face somehow showing worry.

Ace had tamed her long ago, or at least made her grow to trust him. When Ace was fully changed, he was on all fours, and it felt weird. He couldn't walk like this. The blue light shone down on him, never fading. It was never night or noon here. The light was always dull inside the magic bubble Mavis had made.

His lion, Izu, came to him in worry, her pawing his arm. Ace said he was okay, able to speak in this form. Even if this hurt, he'd been aiming at this for months, practicing converting his body into ethernano to transform. He had made it! An ultimate move that the other dragons slayers had not.

Ace wanted to be nothing like them. He didn't want to steal the spotlight as a fake dragon slayer, even if Laxus and Cobra had been fake dragon slayers, lacrimas inserted inside of them. Ace assumed he was the only dragon slayer existing that became one in this way. Absorbing the attack of a dragon, and mixing his body with that magic power.

After walking around a bit, getting used to the movement of four legs until he was trotting around the clearing, he dissolved his body again, and focused on reforming into his human body. He had that inspiration from Sabo putting him back together just fine, even if it was hard for him. But Ace could do it willingly on himself now.

It had been one year since time was frozen, and he indeed had not grown. He didn't even get facial hair. He was paused in time, just like everyone else. He had moved them all side by side on blankets and layers of soft leaves as pillows. He even made his own blankets out of animal hides, and put them over them so they didn't risk getting cold in any way.

Ace had been schooled by the kind Mavis about the capability of dragons, and since he just finished being able to fully transform, he would try changing part of his body, but for that day, he was going to the hot spring with medicinal herbs in it, which made him less sore all the time.

When he was done and dressed in his tattered shorts, his shirt long gone, he went back to the clearing that any animals but Izu avoided. He really appreciated the lion's company. He was the only dragon slayer with a big cat, not a flying one the size of regular cats. Though Izu couldn't speak, so it was different.

He sat near the grave, knowing the magic there was the strongest, even if he was unable to absorb it. He focused on dissolving one arm and turning it into a dragon's. But it was only black with orange stripes. His dragon form had tiger markings. He assumed the orange came from his fire.

It was going well and fast. He was proud of his improvement.

-x-

"It looks like I can only do it when asbording ethenano in the air," Ace said, sitting on the ground with a sigh. "I've been working on it for months, and it still doesn't work." Mavis sad dragon force could not be proven to work on him. He wasn't part of any of the previous generations of dragon slayers. Those who were taught by dragons, like Natsu, Wendy and Gajeel. Then there were the second generation, where their powers came from a lacrima put in their bodies. Third generation was a mix of both.

Ace was generation four maybe. Absorbing the magic of a dragon's full strength attack. Ace was worried he'd be found out and Acnologia would be angry with him for it and come hunt him down. But there was nothing he could do to prepare for that. He would just act as if it was no trouble. He had no reason to use his dragon powers all the time. He still had his fire, even if it was slowly morphing into something else.

It was orange, but had come sticky. He had a hunch his body was now part fire but also flooded with permanent ethernano particles. So his fire were still fire, but it was dotty? It was hard to explain it. Like tiny bubbles or something like that. Still solid and capable of burning things. And it could stick to things and keep them there. The fire not going out until he wanted it.

He was glad it wasn't the same as Natsu's. He felt bad that he would be a technical fire dragon slayer, too. He didn't know how to break the news without him feeling bad. Especially since Ace had attacks he didn't, despite being taught by a dragon himself.

Ace could use dragon force if it worked on it, and shifting his body into a dragon, either fully or partially, had been Mastered by now.

After training and taking a herb bath like, usual Ace returned to the sleeping wizards. He moved Marco away from the group, and positioned him to spoon Ace. If Ace closed his eyes, he could image Marco fell asleep with him in bed, cuddling. He usually would take a large portion of the dy and just spend it trying to sleep. Sleeping next to them all in some way.

He was lonely, and missed them, but he'd gotten used to the isolation. It was familiar in a way, which was sad, and he didn't want that. He missed them so much. A bed or couch would be lovely, not the hard ground. At least it didn't hurt his back.

He held Marco's warm hands in his, and drifted to the deep daydream that wasn't fully sleeping.
