Fandoms: The Big Bang Theory/Harry Potter
Pairing: Stuart Bloom/Harry Potter
I hope everyone enjoys reading this!
Stuart Bloom had always wanted to meet his soulmate, he had always been afraid to meet them and feared to be rejected but at same time he wanted to meet them.
Stuart wasn't a confident man and was an unlucky person, he wasn't good at talking to people and in his opinion he believed himself to be pretty average in his appearance as well. However, he did hope that his soulmate would like him. He hoped that they would find something, anything that they might find appealing about him and possibly be happy to have him as a soulmate.
People weren't born knowing who their soulmates were, or had any clues as to who the person might be, people only knew who was their soulmate the moment after they met them. Stuart had never met his soulmate before but apparently moments after you met your soulmate the name of your soulmate was supposed to appear on your skin like a tattoo.
A soulmate was that special person who was born to be your soulmate, the perfect person who was meant for you to spend the rest of your life with. They were supposed to be your ideal romantic partner.
Stuart one afternoon was working at the comic book shop that he both worked at and owned when a man entered the store.
The man looked attractive, or at least Stuart thought he did.
The man was wearing jeans, sneakers, and a black long-sleeved button up shirt. He had short, messy black hair and glasses that were black and round. He also appeared to be of average height and young, probably in his late twenties to early thirties.
Stuart couldn't help but stare at the man, his eyes following the man around the store. Of course, he wasn't the only man who had noticed the new customer, other people had as well. Stuart gave a sigh as he noticed the other people staring after the man and he decided to go and help the man out.
Approaching the customer Stuart saw that the customer had already picked up some comic books to buy, there was at least five of them.
Stuart followed behind the customer for a bit and just when Stuart was about to ask the man if he needed any assistance the man turned around and Stuart now could see that the customer had very beautiful eyes of emerald green and a scar that was shaped like a bolt of lightning on his forehead.
Stuart found himself suddenly awe stricken, he was completely certain that he had never seen eyes so beautiful before and the scar was quite unique as well.
"Um…Uh…Um…Um…Hello , you…Have very pretty eyes" said Stuart , his words coming out sounding very nervous.
The customer smiled slightly, "Thanks" he said. "Do you work here?"
Stuart gave a nod, "Yes, yes I do. What…What can I help you with?"
The customer showed Stuart the comic books he was holding in his hands, "Can you tell me if these comics are any good, I'm kind of new to all of this stuff"
Stuart gave an eager nod, eager to help this man. "Yes...yes…yes of course. I can do that!" Stuart said.
Stuart looked at what the customer was showing him in his hands. He took a moment to think of what to say before speaking.
"It…It's very good, I'm sure you will like it. It's about a god who can shape shift and use magic"
"That sounds interesting" the customer said.
Stuart nodded, "Yes, it's been extremely popular, I'm sure you will like it"
"I'd like to buy them then"
Stuart nodded, "Yes, of course. Please follow me"
Stuart then led the customer to the register where the man paid for the comic book volumes that he wanted to buy.
After the customer paid for his purchases, he thanked Stuart for the help and started to walk away, however just as the man was walking away Stuart noticed something on his own arm. A tattoo like mark was appearing on his skin, letters that slowly revealed to him two words that he saw spelt out the name of Harry Potter.
Stuart felt himself speechless for several moments before he shouted after the man, "Wait! Please wait!"
The other customers and Harry himself looked to Stuart at the sudden outburst, Harry began to return to Stuart who had started to walk to the man named Harry Potter.
"Yes, um…Have I done something wrong? I swear I've paid for everything" said Harry, with a confused expression on his face when he had approached Stuart again.
Stuart felt awkward, "Well…Uh…don't worry you're not in any…any trouble. I just...I just…wanted to talk to you for a…for a moment"
Harry looked a bit relieved, "Oh, ok, good then! Um...About what?"
"Um…I want you to show me your arm please," said Stuart.
Surprise was in Harry's green eyes, "Um...Ok" he said, sounding slightly confused.
Harry rolled up his sleeve and extended his arm as Stuart also did the same for himself to show off the name tattoo that was on his own arm.
Stuart's eyes caught sight of his own name upon the other man's arm and he couldn't help but manage a smile.
"What on earth, that wasn't there before…" Stuart heard Harry mutter to himself before Harry looked to Stuart with realization in his eyes. "Um…So you're my soulmate then?" said Harry.
"It..It appears so..." said Stuart awkwardly.
"So, when you're free next do you want to go on a date? We can get to know each other and decide if we want to try for a relationship"
"Um….How about tomorrow for dinner?" asked Stuart.
"Sounds good" Harry said.
They then agreed on a time and place for a date before Harry gave Stuart a brief, chaste kiss to one of his cheeks and left the store with a cheerful, excited smile on his face.
XXXXXXX
Harry Potter couldn't help but feel cheerful as he got ready for his first date with his soulmate Stuart Bloom, Stuart's name still tattooed on his forearm.
He had finally met his soulmate and was looking forward to getting to know him. Stuart seemed like a decent guy and was genuinely nice. Harry liked his brown eyes and the man's awkwardness was quite endearing.
Harry was hoping that Stuart was happy to receive him as a soulmate, it would be terrible to have waited so long for his soulmate tattoo to appear only to have his soulmate not want him. Harry hoped that his past and his celebrity status in the wizarding world as the man who defeated You Know Who wouldn't be too much for the other man to handle. Harry really wanted his soulmate to accept him and to hopefully one day love him.
Harry brushed his messy black hair the best he could, he brushed his teeth, showered, and dressed himself in appropriate clothing for a date Harry left for the restaurant, locking the door behind as he left.
When Harry arrived at the agreed upon restaurant Harry saw Stuart waiting for him at the entrance.
Stuart looked awkward and nervous as he stood there but even so Harry thought that the other man looked good. Stuart's short brown hair looked brushed and neat, he wore a suit and tie and he wore a pair of enclosed black shoes.
Harry smiled and walked over to his soulmate.
Stuart smiled awkwardly and nervously when Harry got close.
"Hi Stuart!" said Harry, greeting his date.
"Um…Hi…Harry!" Stuart said. "You…You…Er..Look really handsome!"
Harry blushed a little at the compliment. "You do too Stuart. Shall we go in?"
Stuart nodded.
After entering the restaurant, the two men were seated to a table for two by a waitress before receiving a menu each. After they decided on what they wanted they told their orders to the waitress and soon were left alone again.
Wanting to get to know his soulmate Harry engaged Stuart into conversation.
Conversation was awkward with both men feeling like they didn't know quite what to say to the other male, even so, they got to know each other.
They talked about work, hobbies, interests, friends and vaguely about family.
When their orders arrived, they put a pause on their conversation to eat and drink, both finding themselves enjoying the date so far.
It seemed to Harry that Stuart wasn't very good at talking with people but when it came to talking about his hobbies and interests Stuart sounded a bit more confident and passionate. This was something that Harry found endearing and he really enjoyed listening to Stuart talk about the different types of muggle entertainment that he liked. All of the TV shows, movies, and video games that Stuart told Harry about sounded really interesting.
After they ate and drank Harry stared at Stuart who had an awkward sort of smile on his face.
"So….Um..Stuart….Do you want to try for a relationship with me?" asked Harry nervously and a bit hopefully.
Stuart nodded, "Yes…I…I..I really like you Harry" The man's smile faltered though , turning into a worried frown. "But are you sure that you really want me? I know we're soulmates but there's probably better men than me to be with"
Harry's nervous expression turned into a kind smile as he stared at his soulmate, "I'm sure, Stuart. I mean.. I know this is only the first date but I already think you're wonderful, smart and interesting, and you're attractive as well."
Stuart stared at Harry, a surprised look in his eyes. "You think I'm all that?" he asked.
Harry gave a nod, "Yes, I do. Now, are you disappointed to have me as a soulmate Stuart?" Harry asked.
Stuart gave a shake of his head, "No…No, I think you're perfect…"
Harry blushed, "I'm glad to hear that, I was worried that you wouldn't like me."
"I do like you...and I want to date you" Stuart murmured quietly.
Harry smiled again.
"So would you like to have more dates and try for a relationship then Stuart?"
Stuart nodded, though the man still looked unsure of himself.
"Great! Um….It doesn't have to be straight away though , we can just exchange phone numbers for now and arrange more dates when we're ready"
Stuart nodded.
Harry and Stuart exchanged their phone numbers and soon Harry paid for their orders before they left the restaurant together.
Once outside Stuart looked to Harry, "Can..Can I walk you to your car?" he said.
Harry smiled and he gave a nod.
Stuart and Harry both blushed lightly as they held hands as they walked together to Harry's car, when they got to Harry's car they stopped and they let go of each other's hands.
"I had a great time tonight Stuart" Harry said to Stuart.
"Me too"
There was then a brief silence between them before Stuart spoke again, "Can I kiss you?"
Harry smiled and Stuart though he was very awkward as he did so kissed Harry.
The kiss was very awkward and Stuart kissed him in a sort of hesitant way but still, the kiss to Harry felt special, right and like Stuart really was the man who he was meant to be with. Harry returned the kiss, causing the other man to kiss with a bit more confidence and for a short while they kissed each other.
The two men after the first date continued their relationship, genuinely falling in love and both feeling glad that they had received the other for their soulmate.
