"So you believe us now, that's a relieve." Kakashi finally replied, but he also noticed, "But you still don't trust us."
He was right. Sara might have figured out this was another world, but she still didn't know who these people were and what there intentions are. "Well, you are all dressed as ninja assassins and you did mention you have killed people in your past. You all have weapons and even boys start training advanced martial arts at a young age. You don't exactly seem like good guys." Sara pointed out. She thought it was better to tell them exactly what was on her mind.
"Yet, you did save the boy... at least you thought you were. Even putting yourself in danger." Kakashi reminded her.
"But the boy is still so young, he can't be helped to be forced into this life." Sara told him.
Kakashi replied, "I see. I can only say, we aren't the bad guys here. We actually try to make the world a better place. But something tells me you won't believe me."
He got that right, "Making the world a better place? That's also something a terrorist would say."
Kakashi sighed. Sara added: "I'm just saying. I can't just trust you like that."
"Never mind, first things first. How are your injuries? Is your back alright? You don't seem to be bleeding.." Kakashi referred to the kunai in Sara's back. Yamato made sure not to touch them with his wooden jutsu.
"Uh? Knives in my back? Oh right.. that's okay. They didn't go through my vest. See it's knife and bullet proof." Sara explained.
"Your gadgets keep surprising me... I'll get the knifes out for you." Even though Kakashi announced it, Sara still felt uneased when Kakashi leaned forward to reach behind her. He was so close, yet she couldn't move to get away. The wooden branches were in his way to just walk around and get them out from her back side.
Kakashi used one hand on Sara's shoulder to get the knives out. "Wow, they really got stuck in there." He mentioned next to her ear. He then used a bit more force to get them out. His head next to hers, his hair almost touching her face. Although she wanted to close her eyes, she couldn't. She could only think about the silver color of his hair. First she had been thinking it was grey or white, but from up close it was more like a nice shine of silver.
Sara helt her breath until he was done. He gave the knifes back to the owner, the ninja who threw them. That ninja asked Kakashi: "Kakashi, you know this woman?"
"I know her name, but that's pretty much it." Kakashi explained without saying a thing. "I'd appreciate it if you two didn't mention her to anyone. She's part of a classified investigation."
The boy however got curious, "whoa, what did she do? Where's she from?"
"Hey know." The ninja teacher tried to explain to the kid, "if it's classified, they won't be able to tell us anything."
"That's right. Thanks Iruka." Kakashi was glad he could leave it at this.
"Come Kohohamaru, training is over. We will continu tommorow morning." Iraku told the boy and together they left. Leaving Sara with Kakasi, Yamato and the talking dog.
Yamato slowly pulled back his wooden branches. They disappeared inside his body. With that freeing Sara from her wooden prison. Kakashi made sure Sara couldn't run away by holding her upper arm firmly, the one that didn't got hurt with a nasty cut.
"Any other surprises we need to know about?" Kakashi asked Sara, his other hand tugged away in his pocket.
"You find a knife proof vest surprising? Your friend just grew wood out of thin air and you ask me if I have any surprises? I should be the one asking this question. Is there anything else apart from boy's walking on water, talking dogs and a living fast growing forest? Oh and not to forget, boy's who turns into a wooden logs?"
Kakashi smiled, somehow he was relieved she found all those things so weird. This meant she really was accidentally stuck in this world and not some spy. That or she had proven to be a really good actress. "If you find that surprising, then we have a lot more in store for you."
"Like what?" Sara needed to ask.
It was Yamato who answered. "If you refer me as a living fast growing forest, the list of things we need to explain to you would be too long." He said while standing behind her.
Yamato grabbed both her arms and pulled them on her back, taken it over from Kakashi. "Just some precautions." Yamato told Sara while he used his wood style jutsu to fasten Sara's wrists with a wooden branch. Turning them into some prehistoric handcuffs.
Sara didn't resist, she gave up her struggle for now. She didn't even mention the new questions popping up in her mind. Especially after Kakashi let his talking dog disappear into a smal dust cloud after thanking it. Yamato had been right, they could never give enough answers, she would only get more questions. This world was so different, so weird. She felt like Alice in wonderland.
Then suddenly Yamato interrupted Sara's thoughts and stood in front of her. "Hello, I'm Yamato. Nice to meet you."
He was actually being a nice guy. Sara who didn't know if they were to be trusted yet decided to be friendly as well. "Hello Yamato, I'm Sara." She gave them both a small smile. Trying to make a fresh start. It felt like some tension dropped out of the sky when she did.
"Alright then, follow me." Kakashi said, "It's time we get going."
Kakashi lead the way walking up front. Sara walked behind him, no one was holding her, but she had no chance of escaping anyway. Yamato was following directly behind her. Not that she wanted to escape this time. These guys were her best chance of finding out were she was and how to get back to her own world. So far they didn't really want to hurt her. She was the only one doing all the hurting since she got into this world.
She even shot Kakashi, because she thought he was the criminal she was chasing. That could have ended badly for him. But he wasn't even mad about it, he didn't even mention it. In her own world Sara could go to jail for shooting the wrong person.
Sigh.. her own world.. how the hell and why did she end up here? And will she ever be able to get back?
