Bond's Chapter 1
A/N: I just don't know when to stop. This idea popped into my head and I told myself to wait before I did anything. I obviously failed. Let me know what you all think!
"I'm glad you made it to our meeting Emiko." Nezu hopped from his chair and he walked around his desk towards the young hero hopeful.
"Good Morning Principal Nezu." I smiled as I kneeled down to his level.
"I wanted to talk to you about your admittance. You are a sort of wild card. Technically each hero class only takes 2 students through recommendation, however, your reasonings moved the board so…we decided to break the rule this one time. This does however mean that class 1-A will have one extra student." Nezu explained.
"Does that change anything?" I asked.
"No I simply wanted you to know in case you are asked any questions." He said as he patted my arm. "Now you should head to your class before you're late." Nezu turned and started walking back to his chair. I stood and bowed.
"Thank you Principal Nezu." I smiled as I rushed out into the hall and started looking for class 1-A. When I found the door I saw a yellow sleeping bag wiggling along the floor towards the class.
"Ah! Aizawa!" I muttered as I rushed to the door before he beat me to the room. I rushed in the door and bypassed a trio of people standing just inside of the room and rushed to my seat. I had barely made it into my seat when I heard Aizawa at the door.
"If you're just here to make friends, then you can pack up and go home now." At his voice the trio quickly stopped talking and looked towards the ground in shock at the sight of a full grown man who resembled a caterpillar. I chuckled at the shocked scream that left a brown haired girl at the sight of the man.
"Welcome to UA's hero course." Aizawa said before he pulled out a protein pouch and drank it all. "It took 8 seconds before you all shut up. That's not gonna work." Aizawa proceeded to stand and unzip himself from the sleeping bag revealing his ragged black ensemble and capture scarf.
"Time is precious, ration students would understand that." He looked from the trio to the rest of the room as he introduced himself.
"Hello, I'm Shouta Aizawa. Your teacher." He reached into his sleeping bag and pulled out a gym uniform. "Right, let's get to it, put these on and head outside." Those of us that were sitting stood and walked towards him to get our uniform. Once we were all holding one we walked to the changing rooms that led to one of the sports fields. Once completely changed we all filed out to the field and waited for Mr. Aizawa to explain what we were going to be doing. While we waited I stood in between a girl with long dark green hair and the brown haired girl from before. I looked at the brown haired girl and held out my hand.
"Hi! I am Emiko Yagi-ito, you can call me Emiko." I greeted with a big smile.
"Emiko Yagiito? Ah! It's nice to meet you Emiko, I am Ochaco Uraraka!" She smiled back. We turned to look at the girl on my other side when she piped in with a 'Ribbit'
"My name is Asui Tsuyu, but you can call me Tsu."
"Nice to mee you Tsu!" I smiled at her. Before we could greet anyone else Mr. Aizawa arrived on the field.
"Today you will be participating in a Quirk Assessment test." The majority of the class interrupted him.
"What! A quirk assessment test? But what about orientation?"
"If you really want to make the big leagues you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies." Aizawa explained. "Here at UA we're not tethered to traditions. That means that I get to run my class however I see fit." Aizawa turned towards the class. "You all have been taking standardized tests through most of your lives, but you never got to use your quirks for them. This is irrational. The country is still trying to pretend like we are all equal by limiting those that are talented. Therefore I need to see where you all are standing physically. For example, he looked at a boy with red eyes and spiky blonde hair.
"Bakugo, you scored the most points on the entrance exam, what was your farthest throw with a softball when you were in junior high?" Aizawa asked.
"Uh, 67 meters I think." Bakugo answered.
"Right, try doing it with your quirk." Bakugo walked up and took the ball from Aizawa.
"Anything goes just make sure you stay in the circle." Aizawa explained as Bakugo prepared to throw the ball.
"All right man, you asked for it." He reeled back and then let the ball fly followed by a massive explosion coming from his hands. "Die!" He yelled.
'Die?' I thought as Aizawa held up a phone that displayed the distance the ball went it read '705.2'
"All of you need to figure out your maximum capabilities. It's the most rational way to go about your time here." At the displayed distance the class gaped in shock.
'I knew these guys were going to be talented but that was insane…'I thought as Aizawa went on to explain.
"So this looks fun huh? You all have three years here to become a hero. You think it's all going to be games and playtime? Idiots. Today you will compete in 8 physical tests to measure your abilities. Whoever comes in last has none and will immediately be expelled." A wicked smile covered his face as the class voiced their disapproval.
'He means it too.' I thought as I looked at the serious expression on his face. Seeing his face only made me focus even more.
"Now then, the first test is a 50 meter dash. You will each be paired up now since there is an odd number one of you will be running alone. The first two to line up was a tall boy with engines in his calves and Tsu. They finished their run and soon the next pair lined up until eventually it got to my turn. I looked at my opponent. It was a boy with red spiky hair.
"Hi! I'm Emiko!" I greeted.
"Eijiro Kirishima! Nice to meet you!" He smiled back at me as Aizawa signaled for us to get ready. I focused and the second that Aizawa signaled to start I made myself float and then shot myself forward with wind. I heard the robot yell out my speed as I passed the line.
"4.2 seconds!" I smiled as I landed and turned towards the group of finished students.
The next test was the grip strength test. I didn't do to well on that one and I only scored 52 kg. What can I say, physical strength isn't my strong suit.
The third test was the standing long jump. For this test I made my self float again and used some wind to push myself across the sand.
The fourth test was the repeated side steps. I sighed knowing I wouldn't really be able to use my quirk for this test either. As expected I ended up placing 12th for this test.
The fifth test was finally the ball throw. I stepped up and grabbed the ball from Aizawa. I walked to the middle of the circle reared back my arm and then let loose the ball with a huge gust of wind. I only managed to make the ball fly 306.2 meters but it was still better than a majority of the class. After my throw a nervous looking green haired boy stepped up. He reared his arm back for his attempt but was shocked to find the ball fall almost straight down in front of him.
"What the… I swore I was trying to use it just now." He muttered as Aizawa caught my attention. His hair and his scarf was floating in the air.
"I erased your quirk. The judges for the exam were not rational enough. Someone like you should never be allowed to enroll in this school." The boy seemed confused until he saw Aizawa's goggles.
"Wait those goggles! You're the eraser hero; Eraserhead!" At the announcement the class broke out into whispers, I remained watching Aizawa.
"Your not ready, you don't have control over your power. Were you planning to break your bones again? Counting on someone else to save your useless body."
"No! That's not what I was trying to do!" As the boy tried to explain Aizawa grabbed him with his scarf and pulled the boy closer. Their voices lowered and I was unable to hear the conversation. I looked at my classmates and I froze, for a second I thought I saw a blond head around the corner of the building through my fellow classmates.
'Was that…?' I think as I try to catch another glimpse. Before I can do anything Aizawa lets the boy go and gives him another attempt to throw the ball.
"Ha! That quirkless wannabe is going home for sure." Bakugo sneered.
"Quirkless?" I ask at the same time as the boy with engines in his legs jumps into the conversation.
"Quirkless? Didn't you hear about what he did during the entrance exam?"
'So he's not quirkless?' I think to myself as I look at the boy. He rears his arm back and then whips the ball forward in an incredible showing of strength. His throw leaves most of us speechless. Aizawa turned the phone towards us and displayed the distance '705.3'
"Mr. Aizawa, you see? I'm still standing." The boy said as he clenched his fist. He looked like he was in pain. My thoughts are quickly cut off as Bakugo surges forward towards the boy.
"DEKU YOU BASTARD! TELL ME HOW YOU DID THAT!" He yelled as he used his explosions to push himself forward. I rushed to stop the raging teen however, Aizawa managed to grab him with his scarf.
"What the…why…the hell is your damn scarf so strong?" He asked.
"Because it's a capture weapon made out of carbon fiber and a special metal alloy. Stand down Bakugo. It would be wise to avoid making me use my quirk so much, it gives me serious dry eye." Aizawa explained.
'Too bad, that power's amazing!' All of class 1-A thought in unison.
With the conflict resolved Aizawa signaled for the next thrower to move forward. I stood staring at Bakugo as he watched 'Deku' move back towards the rest of the class. 'I wonder what the problem is between those two?' I question myself.
After the throws were done we moved on to the 6th test. Sit-ups. I did okay with these as my endurance, flexibility and core strength are pretty good. Comes from the marital arts my mother made me do after we moved to Musutafu. The 7th test was the seated toe-touch. Once again I did fairly well with my flexibility. The final test was the long distance run.
For the run I stayed with the front runners, the boy with engines, the half and half boy, and Bakugo. I used my float ability with my wind to push myself into a nice lead and then took breaks every couple of seconds to land and push myself back off the ground. I ended up placing 4th in the run.
Once all of the other students finished their run we gathered around and waited for Mr. Aizawa to announce the results.
"Alright lets go over the results. I am just going to display the final results."

21st Izuku Midoriya
I stood looking at the list with a pleasant surprise.
'I knew I did fairly well on most of the tests but I didn't expect to rank in the top 5, how nice!' I think as my eyes scan the rest of the results.
'Izuku Midoriya? That must be….'I cut off my thoughts as I look at the green haired boy who wore a look of complete despair. I walk over and put my hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, are you…" I am cut off by Mr. Aizawa before I can finish my question.
"And, I was lying, no one is going home." He said as he turned off the results. Midoriya immediately relaxed and looked up in shock.
"That was just a rational misconception to make sure you gave it your all." He smiled.
"What? I call BS no way is he that nice." I mutter as everyone else displayed their shock. I look over as Momo starts talking.
"I'm surprised the rest of you didn't realize that. I'm sorry, I guess I should have said something" I stared at her as my eyebrow twitched. 'No Momo, from what my dad said in his letters, Mr. Aizawa is a ruthless instructor who wouldn't hesitate to expel someone for not meeting his standards.' I think as I sigh and look back at Midoriya who was talking to Mr. Aizawa.
Mr. Aizawa handed him a slip of paper and then Midoriya ran off.
"All right you're all dismissed. Go change and pick up a syllabus from the class room, read it over before class tomorrow." He dismissed us as he walked around the corner of the building. I stared for a moment before I followed Uraraka back towards the locker rooms.
"That was insane right Emiko?" She asked.
"Yeah, it sure was." I answer as we are approached by a blond-haired boy who had a black zigzag in his hair.
"Hey, I am Denki Kaminari. You can call me Denki thought. What's your name?" He smiled a kind of arrogant smile.
"Uh, Emiko Yagi-ito. You can call me Emiko." I smile back.
"I'm Minoru Mineta, but you can call me what ever you want babe." A stumpy little boy with purple balls on his head introduced himself.
"Uh, Mineta it is." I mutter as I walk past him.
"Ah! I am Tenya Iida! It is a pleasure to meet you." I am stopped by the boy with engines in his legs. "Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier!" He bowed deeply.
"It's fine! We were all really busy! I am Emiko Yagi-ito, but just call me Emiko." I say as I try to get him to stand back up.
"Hey Emiko! I didn't get to say it earlier but congratulations on making it in!" Momo said as she turned to look at me.
"You too Momo!" I smile at her as the boys and girls separated to head into our locker rooms. When I walked in and too my locker I am greeted by the rest of the girls.
"Hi! I am Mina Ashido. What's your name?"
"Oh! Emiko Yagi-ito, It's a pleasure to meet all of you."
"I'm Toru Hagakure!" I look at a floating pair of undergarments.
"Kyoka Jiro, it's nice to mee you." A girl with long earphone jacks hanging from her ears introduced. I smiled as I turned back to continue changing while the other girls discussed the physical assessment we just completed. It didn't take me long to change and head back to the class to grab a syllabus. When I walked into the classroom I was met with a group of other students who I had yet to introduce myself too.
"Hi! My name is Emiko Yagi-ito. But you can call me Emiko." I announced to the group who turned to look at me.
"Fumikage Tokoyami." A boy with a bird head announced.
"Mezo Shoji, nice to meet you."
"Hanta Sero, you can call me Sero." I looked at a shy boy who was standing in the back and bowing to us.
"His name is Koji Koda, he is really quiet." Sero translated.
"Oh! It's nice to meet all of you!" I bow as I walk up to grab a syllabus I turn to walk out the door and head home.
'I didn't get to see dad today.' I think as I sigh but then a smile takes over my face. 'Oh well, at least I met most of my classmates, they all seem nice.' I think as I make my way down the stairs and to the shoe exchange area. When I got there I see Bakugo ahead of me walking out the door. I rush to change my shoes and catch up with him.
"Hey! Bakugo right?" I ask as I run up behind him, he just looks over his shoulder at me and keeps walking.
"My name is Emiko Yagi-ito! I just wanted to say your quirk is pretty amazing! And you did so well in all of the tests today. I bet you will be a great hero!" I say as he picks up his pace.
"Whatever extra, I don't care." I stop and watch as he continues walking forward.
'How rude.' I think as I frowned and then continued my walk home.
When I made it home I stood taking my shoes off in the genkan when my mom walked up.
"Well, how was your first day? Did you get to see your dad?" She smiled.
"I didn't get to see dad but my first day was great. I have a lot of nice classmates who seem like fun. Oh! And I got Mr. Aizawa as my homeroom teacher!" I smile as I step up and walk to the kitchen with my mom.
"Aizawa? Didn't your dad say he was a tough teacher in one of his letters?"
"Yeah, but I can kind of understand where he is coming from. Being a hero is tough, so we have to be tougher." I smile as I grab a bottle from the fridge. Mom returns to the counter where she must have been making dinner when I came home.
"Well, I am glad your first day went well. Were there any cute boys?" My mother peeked over her shoulder at me.
"Mom! I didn't go to UA for the boys!" I yell. "But there were a couple" I mutter a second later. She starts to laugh and then returns to her cutting.
"Well, dinner will be ready in an hour, why don't you go bathe and then come down and help me finish.' My mom says as I stand and walk towards the stairs. I stop before beginning my climb.
"Hey mom, do you think dad will be happy to see me?" I ask.
"Hm? Oh hunny, your dad will be thrilled. Shocked but thrilled." She smiles. I smile back and go to bathe.
'I hope tomorrow will be as nice as today.' I think as I grab some clothes and head to the bathroom. 'I also hope I get to see dad tomorrow.' I sigh as I close the bathroom door behind me. One day down, many more to go. My Hero Academia is only beginning.
