Bonds Chapter 3
With our first actual day of classes done it wasn't long before we students got settled in at our new school. In that time dad had been over to eat dinner with us twice. I have found catching up with him is a blast. He tells me in depth stories of some of his greatest battles while I fill him in on important life events like starting middle school, graduating middle school, going on my first date to a school dance, although he didn't seem to like that one. Mom even pulled out the photo albums and showed him my progression through life. Mom gave him some copies to keep in his wallet of my middle school graduation and in turn he muscled up so we could take a family picture with the help of Uncle Tsukauchi. It was the day after we officially started at UA that things got a little strange.
"What the…." I mutter as I look at the crowd of reporters standing at the gate. Apparently, I wasn't quiet enough as 20 pairs of eyes landed on me and I was rushed by reporters who were repeating the same questions.
"What's it like be taught by the number 1 hero?"
"How is All Might as a teacher?"
"How are your classes with All Might?"
"What is it like to work so closely with All Might?"
"Are you one of All Might's students?"
"What is the symbol of peace like in person?"
I freeze in my spot as each question is fired off in rapid succession, my eyebrow begins to twitch, and I am quickly losing my patience. I am beginning to grow dizzy out of irritation when I hear a question followed by a familiar voice.
"Oh! hey wait. Aren't you that Sludge Villain kid?"
"Walk away." Bakugo answered.
"Bakugo!" I take my chance to zip around the reporters and grab Bakugo's sleeve.
"What do you want extra?" He growls at me as he tries to yank his arm out of my hold.
"Get me the hell out of here! These vultures won't back off from me, but they are keeping their distance from you." I answer as I nudge him forward, we squeeze through the gate just as Mr. Aizawa steps up.
"Get to class you two." He says as he turns to face the reporters. I glance over my shoulder at the vultures crowding the gate. I see one make eye contact with me and in a fit of childish anger I stick my tongue out at them. I keep walking until we make it through the door, and we see Ashido and Hagakure exchanging their shoes.
"Oooooh! Arriving at school arm in arm. I smell romance in the air, don't you Hagakure?" I hear the pink girl twitter.
"Huh?" I mumble as a confused look crosses my face.
"How long are you going to hold my arm you damn bastard?" I hear Bakugo growl. His voice makes me look down at my arm which was still wrapped around his. I extracted myself from him and backed away like he just caught fire.
"Ah! Sorry! And thanks for helping me through the crowd." He ignores me as he walks to change out his shoes. I puff up my cheeks at his silence. 'Meanie' I think as I walk to my shoe locker to change my shoes.
"Soooo, you gonna tell us what that was? Or should we just guess?" Hagakure sidles up beside me as she asks her question.
"Huh?" I turn to look at her. "Oh, the reporters wouldn't let me through then I saw Bakugo coming, and they were giving him a wide berth, so I used him to get through the crowd is all." I explain as I shut my locker and make my way towards the classroom.
Once everyone had settled and Mr. Aizawa walked in class officially began.
"Great job on all of the mock battles yesterday. I watched the videos. Bakugo, you're a great student but don't let your anger get to you during battle. Midoriya, I see the only way for you to win was to break your bones again. And don't use the excuse that you can't control your quirk, its already getting old. If you get a handle on it your quirk will be a great asset, so show a little urgency." He paused.
"Now, what we do today will decide your futures." He paused for dramatic effect. "You need to pick a class representative." Immediately the majority of the students were on their feet proclaiming they needed to be picked. It wasn't until Iida jumped in with a method of selection that had everyone calming down.
"We should solve this diplomatically. Everyone will take a vote on who they think is worthy of the title of Class Rep."
"But we have only known each other a few days, how do we know who to pick?"
"Yeah, it's obvious that everyone is going to vote for themselves."
"Then that means whoever has the most votes must be truly worthy of the title." Iida confirmed and with that the decision was made and everyone started to vote. At the end of the vote the tallies were counted with Midoriya coming in first and Yaoyarozu coming in second. With the decision made the class carried on through the day until lunch.
"Hey Emiko! Want to eat with us today?" Uraraka asked.
"Sure!" I called out as I grabbed my wallet. By the time we made it to the cafeteria it was already buzzing with activity. We joined the cue for the food court and waited to decide what we wanted to eat. I went with a teriyaki steak bento while Uraraka went with white rice and some kind of meat dish. When we had our food, we met up with Iida and Midoriya who were already seated with their food.
"Hey guys!" I greeted as we settled down to eat.
"MMM! This rice is delicious!"
"Guys, I'm kind of worried about the class rep thing, I don't think I am qualified." Midoriya sighed.
"Don't worry you'll be fine. I voted for you for a reason Midoriya." I said as I took a bite from my bento.
"Emiko is right Midoriya. Your courage and quick thinking under stress will help make you a worthy leader. Not to mention the strength you've demonstrated. Those are the reason I voted for you, at least." Iida added.
"You both voted for me?"
"Yup!" I say as I take another bite.
"Iida didn't you want to be rep really badly? I mean you do look the part." Uraraka asked
"Wanting a job and being suited for it are two different things. Observing the Iida family hero agency has taught me that at least."
"Hero Agency?" I ask as Uraraka ask "I've been meaning to ask Iida. You're filthy rich aren't you?" She asked as she leaned forward.
"Ah. I was afraid people would treat me differently if they knew about my family." Iida sighed. "You see, the Iida's have been pro heroes for generations. It runs in our blood." He added.
"Your family are all pro heroes?" I asked. Iida answered with a nod before continuing.
"Are you three familiar with the Turbo Hero, Ingenium?"
"I know all about him. He's a super popular pro with 65 sidekicks working alongside him at his Tokyo agency!" Midoriya spits out in reply.
"He is my elder brother!" Iida says with a proud smile on his face.
"Wow Iida! I didn't know. I guess it kinda makes sense with the similar quirks but since hero's hardly ever use their given names you rarely make the connection." I added with a surprised look on my face.
"As the second oldest Iida son I strive to be just like him. However, I think it may be a bit too early before I am ready for a leadership role. You on the other hand Midoriya, you were able to see a part of the practical exam that I was oblivious to. A rep needs that sort of insight." Iida finishes.
"Ah, about that practical…." Midoriya is cut off by a blaring alarm.
'Warning, level three security breach. All students please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion.'
"No way" I hear one of the students down the table exclaim. As Iida turns to them.
"What's a level three security breach?"
"It means someone managed to get past the schools defenses. This hasn't happened in my three years here." The older student explains as he stands and rushes to the exit. Iida, Uraraka and Midoriya all follow as I stand and watch a mass of students rush the door causing a mass pile up.
'So much for orderly' I think as I hurry to help up a girl who was pushed down at the edge of the mob.
"Are you alright?" I ask but the girl ignores me in her panic and continues to try and push her way through. In my moment of distraction, I feel bodies force themselves behind me pushing my into the crowd. I tried to move away from the center of the mob and towards the window in an effort to refrain from being crushed. On my way I bumped into Kaminari who was being pushed toward the windows as well.
"Kaminari!" I yell over the noise caused by the panic. He doesn't seem to hear me as I try to reach for him. Suddenly I am pushed over, and I land on the ground right in the middle of the mob. In my moment of desperation, I make myself float only to bash my head into someone's chin.
"Dammit!" I hear Bakugo yell as I land back on my feet only to be pushed up against his chest as we are being forced towards the windows.
"Sorry Bakugo." I grit out as I try to turn myself so I could see the windows instead of his chest. Eventually we make it to the windows where Kaminari ended up.
"Bakugo! Emiko! Are you two okay?" I hear him ask.
"I've been better" I grit out as I try to squeeze myself out from between Bakugo and the window.
"Bakugo a little help here. See if you can brace yourself against the window so I can get out from here." I grumble. I see Bakugo's hands come up and plant themselves on the glass on either side of my head and then I feel the weight of his body move away from my back. I start to scoot under his left arm, but I am swiftly stopped by a stray elbow hitting me in the face. I rear back into Bakugo's chest as my nose starts to bleed.
"Ugh! Shit" I yelp as I cup my hand over my nose.
"Watch it you bastard!" I hear Bakugo yell behind me I glance up at him through teary eyes to see him glaring at the mob. He glances down at me.
"Shit, you're bleeding all over the place. Dunce face! You got something she can use?" Bakugo yells at Kaminari who looks like he is being squeezed through a tube with how squished he is against the window. Before Bakugo can yell again the mob suddenly stops and the crowd goes silent. Then I hear Iida's voice.
"Everyone calm down! It's just the media outside! There is nothing to worry about!" I try to glance through my watery eyes at him but through Bakugo's arm, the crowd of people and my own tears I can't see anything. Finally the crowd begins to disperse as students make their way back to their seats. Bakugo takes a step back and then I feel him rip my hand away from my face and then a handful of tissues replaces it.
"Go to the damn nurse you idiot." He grumble as he turns and walks away. Without a moment hesitation I turn and rush towards recovery girls office. 'I hope she's there' I think to myself.
My quick trip to Recovery girl ended up taking longer than expected when it was revealed that I had a broken nose. We had to reset my nose and then wait for it to stop bleeding before she could use her quirk on me.
When I finally managed to make it back to the classroom, Iida had been named the new class rep and the other officers had been decided. Mr. Aizawa was standing at the podium and looking at me.
"Where have you been?" He asks as I walk up to him.
"Someone elbowed me in the face during the panic and it ended up breaking my nose. Recovery Girl sent this to excuse my absence." I handed him a frightfully pink sticky note that had Recovery Girl's signature on it.
"Hmm, take a seat. I was just telling the rest of the class that due to the unforeseen break in our heroics classes have been cancelled today. We will pick up with the lesson tomorrow. Use this time to work on any assignments you may have for other classes." Mr. Aizawa says as he grabs his sleeping bag. "Iida you're in charge. Midoriya, Emiko follow me. I need to have a conversation with you." He interrupts before I can even make it to my desk. I frown in confusion as I turn and follow Midoriya and Mr. Aizawa out the door and down the hall.
"Do you know what this is about?" I whisper at him and he just shakes his head.
"Despite it being his day off, All Might came in to speak with the two of you." Mr. Aizawa stopped outside of a meeting room. "He is waiting in here for you. Make it quick and then return to class." I glance at Midoriya and then he steps forward to open the door. Once the door is open and we both walk in. As we close the door behind us Midoriya begins to freak out at the sight of All Might in his gaunt form.
"Uhh, Ah! I think maybe this is the wrong room." He stutters.
"It's alright young Midoriya. Emiko knows about this form." I stare at Midoriya in amusement as he calms down and then grows confused.
"Tea?" My dad offers as I walk to sit on the couch across from him.
"Oh! Yes please." I smile as he hands me a cup.
"Uh, All Might is this really okay?" Midoriya asks.
"Of course." My dad responds.
"Mh, I should probably introduce myself properly. My name is Emiko Yagi-Ito." I say as I take a sip of tea.
"Uh, I know." Midoriya mumbles.
"Hm, I don't think you do." I chuckle. "My last name is YAGI-Ito" I enunciate the Yagi in my last name.
"Young Midoriya my name is Toshinori Yagi." All Might adds hoping to help clue him in. "Yagi?" He repeats.
"Yea, I know All Might….wait." His finger flies up and moves from All Might to me and back to All Might.
"YOU TWO ARE RELATED?" He yells. Unable to hold it in, I burst out into a deep laugh my dad follows quickly. It takes us a minute to calm down.
"I am the biological daughter of Akemi Ito and Toshinori Yagi, also known as All Might. Nice to meet you formally." I hold my hand out but Midoriya ignores it. Although I don't blame him, feinting at the revelation is a reasonable excuse.
My dad and I sat there drinking tea as we waited for Midoriya to wake up. It took him a whole 10 minutes before he sat up and greeted All Might.
"Oh, hey All Might. I just had the craziest dream. Emiko was here and she introduced hers…" He trails off as he catches sight of me sitting on the other end of his couch.
"Not a dream Midoriya." I chime in.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" he screamed again. I sigh and set my cup down.
"Are you finished?" I ask him as he starts to mutter.
"Ah! Sorry!" He quickly apologizes before turning to my dad with a series of questions. "Why doesn't anyone know? How long have you been married? Are you and your wife divorced?"
"My wife and I are still legally married. However, after my fight with All for One I separated from her and Emiko to keep them safe. All for One learned of the existence of my family but he didn't know their identities, so I cut all physical contact with them until Emiko surprised me by enrolling here at UA." My dad explained. "I have been married to Akemi for 16 years now." He finished.
"So since, I know dad's secret and the secret regarding his quirk we figured it would be all right for you to know that I am his daughter. Although you still have to keep it a secret from the public." I chime in as I pick my teacup back up. Midoriya quickly began muttering under his breath again. I let out a sigh as I looked at my dad who had a sweat drop running down his forehead. Finally, Midoriya's head shot up and he looked right at me.
"Does that mean you also inherited a form of One for All?" He asked.
"Nope, I got my mother's ability to manipulate weather conditions for the most part. Although I have no idea where my float ability comes from." I answer.
"I think that it may have come from my master. I technically have her DNA in me since it is necessary to ingest it in order to pass along One for All." My dad theorized. "Although I don't know for sure."
"What exactly are the specifications of your quirk?" Midoriya asked as he slowly started to pull out a notebook.
"Midoriya put your notebook away, now is not the time." I berate him, he deflates but slides his notebook back into his bag as my dad chuckles.
"I just can't believe you're the daughter of the number 1 hero!" He adds as his eyes start to sparkle.
"You're getting a little creepy there Midoriya." I mutter. "Anyway we shouldn't stay for too much longer. Mr. Aizawa is expecting us back in class." I finish as I down the rest of my tea and then stand. "Hurry and finish your tea Midoriya we need to go." I say as I walk around the coffee table. Midoriya quickly drinks his tea and then watches as my dad stands up and we give each other a quick hug.
"Are you coming to dinner tonight?" I ask him.
"Not tonight. I am going to do a quick patrol tonight and then rest for tomorrow's hero course." He smiles as a small pout fills my face.
"Okay….bye dad. I'll see you tomorrow." I mumble as I walk towards the door followed by Midoriya as he calls out his farewell to my dad.
"Bye All Might!" We walk out and close the door behind us and begin our walk back to the classroom. On our way Midoriya stares at me like he wants to ask me a question. I look at him.
"What is it?" I ask.
"It must be hard huh? Having to live separate from your dad." He says.
"It was, that's why I want to become a strong hero. So I can protect myself and spend more time with my dad." I answer.
"That's a great reason for wanting to be a hero." He smiles as we come up on the classroom door. I slide it open and enter only to find everyone staring.
"What?" I ask as Uraraka suddenly stands.
"Why didn't you tell us?!" She yells I immediately freeze thinking they found out about my relationship with All Might.
"About what?" I choke out.
"That your birthday is tomorrow!" She yelled.
"Huh?" I blank for a second before I focus in on the calendar hanging by the door.
'Well I'll be damned. Tomorrow is my birthday.' I think as I turn to look back at the class.
"I asked Mr. Aizawa if we could plan something for Bakugo's birthday on the 20th. He told us that it would be wrong to celebrate Bakugo's first when your birthday is tomorrow! Why didn't you say anything?" Uraraka whined.
"To be honest I forgot. With everything going on and the start of new school term I usually forget about it until I get home that day." I explain as I make my way to my seat. "Besides we don't have to celebrate" I add on as I sit.
"No that won't do. We will just have to plan a cake in the middle and celebrate both of your birthdays!" Ashido joins the conversation.
"Haaaah!?" Bakugo yells at the same time as me.
"I told you I don't need you extras to celebrate my birthday!" He finishes as I look at him and then chuckle. At that moment Mr. Aizawa walks back in with a stack of papers.
"Alright calm down." With that we settled back in to resume lessons.
After our meeting with All Might the day passed by quickly and eventually the last bell rang as I packed up and made for the door before anyone could stop me. I wave goodbye and then rush home so I could prepare for tomorrow. 'I wonder if dad is going to come over to celebrate with us. I wonder if he even remembers?' I think as I turn onto my street and rush up to my house. 'Of course, he will! He sends a card every year.' I scold myself for my negative thought. I put the pedal to the medal and rush through my nightly routine of bath, dinner, study and then bed. As I lay in bed I think about what tomorrow may bring. Little did I know this year. My birthday would be one of the worst days of the year.
A/N: I actually thought about cutting the chapter off here butttttt, there is a little more I want to get in.
The next morning, much like the last few, started bright and early with me getting up and dressing for school. A nice, relaxed breakfast followed by my walk to the UA campus. Once again the morning half of school dragged by with the usual general classes. During lunch Midoriya kept pointing out the several resolved situations that All Might attended to that morning. As we returned to the classroom after lunch Mr. Aizawa waited by the podium.
"Hurry and take your seats." He called as we rushed to our desks.
"Now then, today's training will be a little different. You will have three teachers. Myself, All Might and one other pro." Mr. Aizawa explained.
"What kind of training are we doing today?" Sero called from his seat.
"Rescue. You'll be dealing with natural disasters, ship wrecks, stuff like that." Mr. Aizawa explained.
At the announcement of today's lesson the class broke out into excited whispers. I let a smile grace my face as I watched the rest of the class.
"Guys, I'm not finished yet. What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes, but your still not used to them and they may inhibit your movements" He explained as he pushed the button for the shelves with our costumes.
"Now, this special training is at an off-campus facility, so we will be taking a bus to get there. Change and meet me out front." He ends his lecture as he walks out of the room. At his dismissal the majority of the class jump up to get our cases and go change.
I am not going to lie, putting the costume on again felt just as cool as the first time. With all of us changed we walked as a group out to the bus.
"Happy Birthday Emiko!" The girls called out as we walked out the front door.
"Thank you." I replied as some of the boys repeated the sentiment. I smile and look at Mr. Aizawa standing next to a bus. Iida immediately jumped into class rep duties and began calling out orders.
"Gather around Class 1-A! Using your student numbers, form two neat lines so we can load the bus efficiently." He called out as he blew on a whistle. I made my way to the side of the bus and joined the line behind Shoji. I did a quick calculation of who would be sitting with who and I mentally sighed. 'Bakugo, great.' I think as he comes to stand beside me. I face the front as we begin to load the bus. When I stepped on I chuckled. 'Looks like Iida isn't going to be happy. I think as I go to a seat, Bakugo follows and sits next to me. Iida loads the bus and his head drops as he realizes the situation.
"The open layout of the bus ruined my boarding strategy." He mumbles as Tsu looks at Midoriya.
"Say Midoriya, your quirk is a lot like All Mights isn't it?" She asks, my head jerks forward making an audible crack. Bakugo looks at me with an irritated and confused expression on his face.
"But you're forgetting All Might doesn't get hurt when he uses his power." Kirishima adds in helping break the similarity. "Still I bet its cool to have a simple augmenting type of quirk. You can do lots of flashy stuff with it. My hardening is super strong and can destroy bad guys but it doesn't look super cool." He finishes.
"That's not true. Attention getting quirks aren't the only thing that matters Kirishima." I chip in from my seat as Midoriya sits forward.
"Emiko's right Kirishima, I think your quirk looks cool! You're definitely pro material with a quirk like that!" He smiles.
"You guys think so? It seems like it could be easier to be a popular pro with a flashy quirk." Kirishima adds.
"My navel laser is the perfect combination." Aoyama chimes in.
"But it's kind of pathetic if it gives you a stomachache sweety." Ashido adds as she puts a hand on his shoulder.
"Well if you asked me, if any of our classmates have pro quirks, its Todoroki and Bakugo." Kirishima adds.
"That may be so but remember what I said Kirishima. Quirks aren't the only factor when it comes to popularity." I speak up and Bakugo turns to look at me with a glare.
"Emiko is right, Bakugo's always angry, so he'll never be that popular." Tsu adds.
"What did you say! I'll kick your ass!" He yells as he stands.
"Way to prove her point Bakugo." I mumble
"You know its sad that we basically just met you and yet we already know that your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage." Kaminari speaks up.
"Your gonna regret the day you applied to this school you loser!" Bakugo yells. I grab his waist band and pull him back into his seat.
"Knock it off, you're gonna end up hitting me." I grumble as Mr. Aizawa stands up at the front of the bus before Bakugo can yell at me.
"Hey, hey, we're here. Stop messing around." He announces. When the bus comes to a complete stop we all unload and make our way into a group in front of another pro standing at the entrance to the building.
"Hello everyone! I am the rescue hero Thirteen!" The hero in a space suit sounds really chirpy. "C'mon, I can't wait to show you what's inside." Thirteen says as we follow them into the building. Inside it looked like an amusement park with different attractions separating it. There was a waterfall with a ship below it, a giant dome with fire painted on it, a giant hill with rocks and mud and partial buildings, a city that looked like it had been hit by an earthquake, and another dome that had storm clouds painted on it.
I refocus on Thirteen and Mr. Aizawa as my initial observation is finished.
"Clocks ticking we should get started." Aizawa says as he walks over to lean on a pillar.
"Excellent! Before we start I would just like to say one thing, well maybe two things, or three, or four, or five. Anyway, listen carefully, I am sure you are aware that I have a powerful quirk called black hole. I can use it to suck up anything and turn it to dust. I use it mostly to save people from disasters, however, my quirk can also be used to kill." Thirteen pauses. "Some of you also have powers that can be dangerous. In our superhuman society, all quirks are certified and stringently regulated, so we often overlook how unsafe they can actually be. Please don't forget that if you loose focus or make the wrong move, your powers can be deadly." Thirteen finished.
"Now then, lets get started." Aizawa adds as he makes for the stairs. Just as he prepares to begin the trek down, the lights and the fountain in the middle of the building flicker. I look around until I hear a gasp come from Uraraka. I follow her line of sight down to the middle of the building and see a purple mist spreading, from the mist a large group of people appear. I get a menacing chill running down my back as I tense and move my hand to my condensed bow staff.
"Nobody move, those are real villains." Mr. Aizawa says as he raises his goggles. "Thirteen get the students out of here." He finishes as he grabs his scarf.
Mr. Aizawa focused on the villains as us students huddled closer together. I felt a hand on my arm and I turn to see Bakugo.
"What…?" I go to ask him what he is doing when he pulls me behind him as Kirishima steps up beside me.
"We need to get help. Someone needs to get to the campus and warn the others." I say quietly as I look at Iida. I go to try and walk towards him only for Bakugo to grab my arm again and pull me behind him.
"Stay back moron." He says.
"I can defend myself you know." I mumble back to him just as Thirteen turns and tells us to head for the exit. I turn only to come face to face with the purple mist appears behind us. I jerk back and hit Bakugo's chest. He wraps an arm around my waist and then hauls me backwards. After a few steps he tosses me behind him as he and Kirishima rushed the purple mist.
"Wait!" I yell as I take a couple steps forward. Just as the two make contact the purple mist expands and then the floor drops out from beneath me. When the mist clears I see the fountain beneath me.
"Shit" I grit out as I activate my float quirk to slow my descent. When I touch down I am rushed by a couple of the villains that were originally heading towards Mr. Aizawa. I use my wind to force them back as Mr. Aizawa notices me.
"Emiko! What are you doing here. I told you to evacuate."
"We were, but then the purple mist expanded and sent me here. I can only assume he sent the others around the USJ as well." I say as I grab my bow staff and extend it. Just as I get it to it's full length a large reptilian mutant type man come rushing at me. I drop into a stance and then swing my bow staff around. I lower the temperature to slow him down. Luckily it worked and his movements became slow and choppy. I hit him on the neck hard enough to knock him unconscious.
"Try and make your way back to the entrance. You're in the way here." Mr. Aizawa shouts at me.
"No offense teach, but I don't think these villains are going to let me leave without a fight." I grit out as another villain with a small fire quirk rushes me. I spin my bow staff above me allowing clouds to build up from the accumulating moisture. Just as the clouds start to solidify I drop them down and allow them to coat the area. I touch a button on the side of my mask and it flickers into an infrared camera showing me heat signatures. With my opponents vision blocked I slip in between the villains and hit them one at a time bringing them to their knees and then knock them out with quick and decisive hits to the back of the neck. Just as I am heading towards my next target a large gust of wind clears my fog.
"Shit" I grumble as I jump away from the villains and switch my mask to its normal setting.
'The wind must have been hot, almost all the moisture in the air is gone.' I think as I grip my bow staff tighter. I spare a glance around to count the villains remaining. It looks like Mr. Aizawa only had three left while I had two targeting me. The one with the dry wind and another who has an unknown quirk. I notice the water behind me and I try to subtly make my way to the edge of the water. Once I manage to back up within a couple of steps of the water I bring my left hand down to my hip with my palm facing towards the water. At the same time I focus to bring the temperature down just low enough that it isn't immediately noticeable. I lift my left hand just a little to focus the water into the air, once I have enough gathered, I take a deep breath and concentrate on the feeling of snowy clouds. At the first falling flake I lift my bow staff and spin it to create a large gust of wind, at the same time the villain with the hot wind unleashes a gust. Our wind clashes in the middle and begin to rotate. The clouds that I had managed to gather above us begin to spin.
'What the…'I think to myself as a small portion of them begin to reach towards us. I back away as it hits the ground and then rapidly picks up speed.
'That's a…Tornado!' I think in shock as I back away again only to step into the water. I look down at the water and then back at the rushing tornado. In its path of unintended victims it managed to pick up the two remaining villains and then drop them on the ground hard enough to knock them out. With the source of the hot wind gone the tornado's energy quickly fades and then disappears. I look around in wonder as I notice a surprising trio a few feet away in the water. I lower myself and then look back towards Mr. Aizawa as he finishes up with his villains and then focuses on the last two. The large muscular bird looking man and the blue haired man with hands all over his body. I focus back on my classmates.
"What are you three doing here?" I whisper at them.
"Emiko! What are you doing here?" Midoriya asks.
"I asked you first." I mumble. "The purple mist dropped me here, I just finished fighting some villains so I was going to head back up to the entrance. What about you?"
"We were dropped in the shipwreck zone, we managed to deal with our villains fairly quickly but then we decided to come over to check in on Mr. Aizawa since we thought he was here alone. We didn't think any of the other students would be here." Midoriya explains.
"Well, we should get out of here. Mr. Aizawa only has two villains lef…." I look over at him only to see the muscular bird man shove his face into the ground. I gasp as I turn to focus on the fight.
"N..no" I say as my stomach turns as the bird man repeatedly bashes Mr. Aizawa's face into the ground. We watch as the bird man grabs Mr. Aizawa's right arm and breaks it, then repeats the process on his left. Unable to contain my anger I go to stand only for Midoriya to grab me.
"No" Midoriya whispers at me. I grit my teeth as the purple mist reappears. As I watch my anger grows more and more until it is almost to a boiling point. Then the blue haired villain appears in front of us reaching for Tsu.
"No!" I yell as the man touches her, but at the last second Mr. Aizawa manages to capture him with his quirk. It doesn't last long as the bird man smashes his face into the ground again. At the same time Midoriya jumps ready to swing on the man with his quirk. As he makes contact a large cloud of dust and wind cover us. As it begins to clear we see that the bird villain had intercepted the blow and taken it head on without breaking a sweat.
"Midoriya! Move!" I yell as I whip up a strong gust of wind. Just before I can force it towards the two villains an explosion at the front makes us all freeze. We all look up and see my dad at the top of the stairs.
"Dad.." I let slip out. At my voice the blue haired villain turns his blood red eyes on me.
"Dad?" Midoriya hearing his word looked horrified as I froze at my stupid mistake. 'Shit' I think as he looks at the blue bird man. "Grab her." He says. It turns out the real battle was just beginning.
A/N: Wow this is a long chapter. I think it may be the longest I have written for a fic. Let me know what you think okay!
