Part 3 Old Legends

As a fourteen-year-old Izuku is coaxing a fire with fish browning over it Munin and Hugin fly down onto a small wooden perch opposing Midoriya. In the decade Izuku has been training and traveling with the two ravens his appearance has changed considerably. He is quite muscular and has overgrown hair that falls down to his shoulders. The young man is also wearing a plain grey t-shirt, light green cargo pants, with black combat boots with red laces. When Izuku first met the raven duo they took traveling around the world. The three have now made it back to Japan and are trying to look for some kind of real power that Izuku could use. "You two always do return before dinner no matter when I start cooking right when the meal is almost done you two just perch down waiting to give your report," Izuku said amusingly. "Well, Master those are rules we are bound to." Munin cawed. "Yes I know, but it doesn't matter just tell everything important," Izuku said while smiling. "Okay Master me first though!" Hugin exclaimed. Izuku nodded in agreement while holding a smirk. "Alright, I heard about someone who could tell the future by holding someone's palm!" Hugin cawed in pride. "We've been through this Hugin story's like that are just con artist tricking people for money." The young man explained. At this Hugin looked down in frustration pouting "This world is so much more complicated than the last one." The childlike bird whined. Midoriya grinned at the ravens' tantrum. "Master I think I have discovered something that Odin once held." Munin calmly said. Izuku gained a serious look as he looked Munin in the eye. If Munin was correct then this would be Izukus' first ability besides summoning Gungnir. "Are you sure Munin that Odin once had this power?" Midoriya asked cautiously. "From what I have learned it is most likely true Master." Izuku looked into the fire with an "on the fence" type of look. Izuku spent a long while pondering if he should follow through with this new information until he looked back at Munin and said "Alright tell me more about what you have learned." "I heard a tale about an old man would sit under a massive tree by a pond and every day he would drink upon one cup of the water every day and gain more knowledge with every gulp," Munin explained in a storytelling voice. "How is that possible?" Midoriya asked, "Like many of the unexplainable legends mortals tell the only answer is ancient magic from our old world that migrated here like the gods' spirits." Izuku remembered Munin telling him that magic will slowly start to become a part of this world and people and beasts will be affected by it. "Where is this old man Munin?" "It is said that he is down south near the coast in a forest that is said to go on forever." Munin elaborated. Again Izuku stared deeply into the fire before him spending many minutes thinking to himself about the best action to take. He finally looked up from the fire after what felt like hours of thought to tell the ravens his plan. "At sunrise tomorrow we will leave and head south to meet this man to ask if we can drink some of his pond water." The two birds nodded in agreement. "Alright with tomorrow's plans settled we should start eating supper." but as Izuku looked at his fish he realized that they were just pieces of char since their conversation took so long. "I was going to tell you Master but letting them burn sounded much more fun!" Hugin said laughing.
