Just a few habits that activate at the wrong time.

Warnings: None
Additional Pairings: one-sided Koala x Sabo
Dragon was home for once.
He was doing Dragon things downstairs, while Luffy was upstairs in his room doing his homework because school started the next day.
He still had about twelve essays to finish, and a project that he had to do... on his own.
No matter. He just had to wait for Sabo to come home later and help him with some.
He looked down at his paper.
He still hadn't written a single word.
He groaned loudly. He couldn't take it anymore.
"SABOOOO!"
He yelled, but only when he was done did he realise - he had called Dragon Sabo.
The door opened anyway, and the tattooed man stood in the doorway, looking at Luffy with no small amount of hesitation.
...And a little bit of disappointment.
"...Yes?"
Luffy perked up. His otou-chan could still help. "Help me?" He lifted up his paper and asked him endearingly. "Please?" He added, remembering his manners.
"...Of course."
A ten-year-old Ace was peeling a banana for a seven-year-old Luffy.
Luffy was bouncing on his heels, eyes sparkling in excitement.
Ace spared a glance at him before ordering, "Stop moving, Luffy!"
"Mou..." Luffy pouted as he remained in place with his hands pulled to his back, though there they continued to fidget.
Ace was nearly done. All he had to do was pop the banana out and throw away the peel.
He gave the result to Luffy.
Luffy stared.
Ace didn't know why he wasn't taking it. He was even beginning to feel annoyed.
Then Luffy scrunched his eyes up and began to cry.
"Saboooo! Ace threw away my banana and gave me the peeeeeel!"
It was then and only then did Ace look at what was actually in his hand and register what it was.
It was the peel. He looked in the trash can - sure enough, the banana was in there.
"Oh."
He looked up, Luffy was running away.
He was going to have to explain this to Sabo.
Sabo was watching the news on the couch. He was in his coworker Koala's house, there to hang out, as Koala had put it.
The news had been going on for some time now. The lights were slightly dim and the atmosphere cozy - he was beginning to feel like he was home.
So when he felt a weight drop into the couch near him, he smiled and wrapped an arm around his shoulders.
"S-Sabo?"
He was startled out of his reverie upon hearing the voice - it was distinctly feminine. He looked at who he was actually holding- a blushing Koala.
He jumped in his seat and scooted away.
"Oh, uh- sorry, I thought you were Luffy."
How could he have known that this statement would cause Koala to yell at him and run away?
He shrugged.
