Summary: One day, Kaido and Shanks have a battle!
In the Wolf family, everyone had to share.
From the bathroom where they all brushed their teeth, to the table where they ate, the children were used to sharing everything together.
Rooming has been the biggest problem.
Edward got his own room since he was the oldest. His room was a sub-closet in the basement that allowed him the perfect space for all his books and figurines. Marco slept on his head though.
Linlin shared a room with Luffy, the baby's crib not taking up much space. Luffy's side of the room had a lot of baby toys, pirate memorabilia, and Shanks' strawhat on the side of the crib. Linlin's side was pastel pink with a princess theme as her bed was covered with her "family" of stuffed animals. Sometimes she would let Luffy snuggle with Katakuri because she noticed he was his favorite. The two got along well as Linlin would rock Luffy back to sleep when he got fussy and Luffy would waddle over and read with her certain nights.
However, Michelle noticed the other two didn't get along as well as the others.
Shanks made his side of the room very messy. There were piles of clothes, discarded juice boxes, and papers all over the place. Benn sat on his poorly made bed and almost scoffed at the way his so called captain kept his room. Kaido was no better with his side of the room decorated with his dinosaur toys, samurai pictures, and pet goldfish. His plush pterodactyl King oversaw the other dinosaur toys and made sure everyone was in order.
The two were in constant battle for whoever had more of the room. There were physical fights going on almost every night because of this and it was getting out of hand.
"And the queen and her kingdom lived a prosperous life with candy and cake!" Linlin finished her picture book as Luffy gave a big clap. "This story is my favorite because the queen gets to rule over an entire kingdom and gets to eat all the cake she wants!"
"Cake!" Luffy exclaimed happily, wiggling in her arms. Both of them were sitting on her bed as the other stuffed animals surrounded them while Katakuri was in his arms.
Johan was watching them from the door and smiled at the cute sight. Those two were so cute together and not trying to kill each other like the two in the other room. He groaned as he opened the door to see Shanks trying to choke out Kaido by putting him in a headlock.
"I saw Jack on my side of the room! I'm not giving him back!" Shanks yelled, putting Kaido in a deeper headlock.
Kaido growled as he got out and pinned him by his neck. "Release him at once or else I'm gonna kill you! He's part of my three strongest minions!"
Edward stood next to Johan and shook his head. "These two go at it every week. If they just cleaned their room they wouldn't have this problem."
Michelle came into the house after a long day at work and wiped her face off. "Kids! I'm home!" Hearing the fight from upstairs, she growled. "That's it. I'm ending this feud once and for all."
Linlin fumed to herself as she placed Luffy on her bed and grabbed her inflatable sword. "This ends tonight."
Johan stepped aside as Linlin barreled into the boy's room. "YOU TWO ARE SO DEAD!" She exclaimed as she pounced on the both of them.
Michelle came upstairs to see Linlin bashing both Shanks and Kaido over the head with her sword in the hallway, Edward laughing at them, and Luffy trying to join in while Johan held him tightly. Keeping a calm head, she stood over the trio, grabbed them all by the scruff of their necks, and took them to the backroom.
"Oh dear, your mother is going to the back room." Johan said, looking as the light turned on. "Guess we should get dinner started. Edward, get Marco so that Luffy can't eat before we do."
"Shanks, Kaido, you two are roommates and part of sharing means you have to start caring about your space! I want to see this room spotless before dinner is done."
Shanks grumbled as he and Kaido went back to their room. The two went to their respective sides and cleaned the room. Neither said a word as they had their backs to each other. Shanks sighed as he took out the plush woolie mammoth from his desk.
"Here. I wasn't going to hold him hostage forever." The red haired boy placed the animal on his brother's bed. "I'm sorry for snatching him."
Kaido stared at Jack before giving him a quick hug and placing him on his neat bed. "All is forgiven. I want to be at peace in here without arguing with you brother. If you keep your side of the room clean as do I, then we can both live in harmony."
Shanks shrugged. "Deal. Just make sure none of your beasts get on my side of the room."
And so, peace was once again restored in the shared household.
