Author's Notes: I apologize that it's been a bit since I updated. Work has been hectic. And I've had other stuff going on. However, I also want to say that this Chapter will lead into another fic I plan on working on. And yes, it will be about our favorite couple :) Nicole and Data.
Chapter 6
3 weeks. That is how long Nicole has been here. Thankfully this place smells like her favorite Android.
She already had a routine set in place while she stayed here. She would wake up, get herself a cup of coffee and some breakfast. Then she would feed Spot. (It was Data's idea to leave Spot on Earth with her so Nicole had the orange puffball to keep her grounded, because he was unable to.) Her and Spot would eat together. After that she would put her dirty dishes in the sink, get another cup of coffee, and head to the master bedroom to get ready for the day.
Since she didn't have court today, she chose to wear a pair of gray pajama bottoms, Data's Starfleet Academy tee, and some gray boot style house shoes. She grabbed her datapad off of the side table before she left the room.
Pretty soon it was lunch time. Nicole thought about going out for lunch, but quickly declined. She had to contact Command to see if she was able to. Being on a physe watch was not the best. They had to install cameras (with Data's permission since this was his place) so they could keep an eye on her throughout the day. Luckily they weren't in the bedrooms. Just in the main areas.
One day she decided to spend most of the day in bed. She had court the day before so she was not only mentally exhausted but physically too. Court days lasted pretty much the whole day. That was a BIG mistake though! A security team along with a med team came into the house to check on her. She was unhappy to be woken up.
Now if she wanted to rest the whole day, she just slept on the couch in full view of the camera.
Nicole could only hope on the day the Enterprise shows up, which should be any day now, they wouldn't try to barge in again when Data and her were intimate.
Data
Nicole thought about how she missed the android. The warmth of his pale bioplast as they held hands walking through the corridors of the ship. The way he was able to pick her up with ease and hold her against the bulkhead as their lips crashed in a hot make-out session in the ship's storage lockers. She especially missed the feature that drew him to her. His yellow eyes.
Indeed they were peculiar. Nicole didn't mind though. They were pools of sunshine that she could look into to help her get through her rougher days. Even before their relationship started, Nicole could look into them and all her troubles would wash away.
"I wish I could look into them now." Nicole said aloud as she looked at the graduating photo of her android sitting on the bookcase in the main living space.
Data hadn't changed much since his Academy days. He still looks the same. Age wise. Does the android even age?
"Incoming message for Nicole Riker." The Computer said, pulling Nicole out of her thoughts.
"Who is it from, Computer?" Nicole asked, staring up at the ceiling.
"Captain Corey Wilson."
Nicole smiled and bolted to Data's office. She put in her access codes and a certain dark skinned Captain appeared on the screen. His skin was as dark as the coffee she was holding.
Captain Corey Wilson was one of the survivors of the Newton. He took the place as Nicole's first officer. He became her closest friend. They talked as frequently as they could. However, they couldn't this time. They were forbidden from seeing one another because they are the last two survivors.
Besides those who Nicole sent to their deaths, there were five survivors. The others ended up commiting suicide, because they couldn't handle the traumatic past of the Newton. Nicole thought about joining them. She just couldn't bring herself to actually follow through. It was like something kept stopping her.
"Hello Nikki! I miss seeing your beautiful quirky face." Corey started off.
Nicole smiled. She then made a silly face. Corey made a silly face back. "I miss you too, you dork." Nicole said, quietly.
"I wish we could just break out these jail cells and meet up. We could go get a coffee. Maybe a shopping spree. We could find something for that boyfriend of yours. And I could try to convince you to join my crew." Corey said with a smile.
Nicole just rolled her eyes as she sipped her coffee. He's been trying to get her to join The Tennessee for years. Of course Nicole has declined. She didn't want to leave the Enterprise. Actually she doesn't want to leave Data.
Corey sighed. "Hopefully, we won't be here for too much longer. You can go back to The Enterprise. I can go back to The Tennessee."
"I hope so." Nicole said. "I don't like this as much as you do."
"Well, I hate to cut this short. I must go. I need to run to the store to get a few things." Corey said before the screen went black.
Nicole sighed. She placed her coffee down on the desk. She then sent a message back. Telling him that she missed him as well. And that they will see each other at court tomorrow. Although they won't be able to talk to one another, they could at least make faces to brighten each other's mood.
Just then the alarm system that was put in as well alerted her that someone walked in. Nicole stayed put. She was able to look down the hall to see who would come around the corner. That was when she saw him. Tears began to fall down her cheeks. Tears of joy.
"DATA!" Nicole yelled.
Jumping to her feet, she ran down the hall. She jumped into the arms of the android. Her legs were wrapped around his waist. She buried her face in his shoulder as he held her.
"I am here, Nikki." Data said, quietly.
Nicole pulled back a little so she could look into his yellow eyes. She then crashed their lips together. Data had no problem with holding her as they kissed. He even let her invade his mouth. Their tongues battled for dominance, but Nicole always won. Although Data was programmed with various forms of mating rituals, he chose to let Nicole take the lead on how to proceed with their relationship. And Nicole had no problems with taking things as slow as Data needed her to. She knew he didn't understand relationships that well. So she didn't want to rush it. They took things slow.
They had gone at least 2 months exactly without being intimate. Nicole was willing to wait longer. However, since she was going to be gone for quite some time, Data suggested they take their relationship to the next level.
"You know I am here too, but that's fine, you can ignore me too." Geordi said, a bit annoyed.
They reluctantly broke the kiss. Data placed Nicole back to her feet.
"Geordi!" Nicole said excitedly as she hugged her best friend.
"Oh now you care that I am here." Geordi teased.
Nicole lightly kicked the Chief Engineer as she hugged him.
"Hello Nicole." Geordi said, hugging Nicole back.
After some time, the trio were sitting in the living space. Nicole was on the couch with Data. Her back was against the arm rest while her legs were across the Android's lap. Geordi was sitting in one of the chairs across from them petting Spot who sat in his lap.
"When did the Enterprise get here?" Nicole asked, sipping her coffee.
"An hour or so ago." Geordi said, shrugging.
"Two hours, thirty-three minutes, and fifteen seconds ago." Data said, matter of factly.
Nicole and Geordi just smiled and rolled their eyes.
"Well, I am glad you two are here. I missed you both so much!" Nicole exclaimed.
"No you missed him." Geordi pointed at Data. He then pointed to himself. "You didn't think about me that much." He teased.
Nicole just stuck her tongue out at him.
"Watch it Lieutenant. Or I will have you scrubbing the manifolds when you get back." Geordi warned teasingly.
"I wish I am able to come back." Nicole said, sadly.
"What do you mean, my dear?" Data asked, tilting his head.
"There's a possibility I may be unfit to return to duty." Nicole confessed.
