"Maya, there's something I need to tell you."
Maya turned to look at Natsume. "What is it?"
Natsume looked away, a pained expression on her face. "Me and Eru... We're transferring schools again."
"...What?"
"We're leaving next week."
Maya stared at Natsume in silence. She was leaving? For real? But...
Maya grabbed Natsume's hands and looked straight into her eyes. "Take me to your father!"
"Huh?"
"I'll convince him to let you stay somehow. You can't leave!"
Natsume's cheeks turned bright red. She looked away. "I'm sorry."
"Why?"
"I lied. We're not leaving."
"Huh?"
"...April Fool's?"
Maya's cheeks flared. "Natsume!"
In all these years, I never imagined that I'd get to see Maya making a girl blush. But now we have Natsume and boy, are these two fun to watch.
