Something was covering his mouth and nose, blowing air into his face, an oxygen mask Buck realised, it took him only a moment to clear his head, he tried to open his eyes but couldn't. He tried to sit up, but found that his body wouldn't listen to him. He tried to speak, but his mouth wouldn't budge. He was awake but at the same time he wasn't. He felt the vehicle they were in come to a full stop and heard the driver get out and felt the cold air when the doors to the back was opened, he felt the stretcher underneath him move, he was in an ambulance he supposed

"John Doe from the water, approximately 25 years old, reviewed at the scene and has been stable since" the paramedic told whomever was there to take over. The words echoed in Buck's head, John Doe and reviewed at scene, how did this happen? He knew how it happened, a freaking tsunami happened, but how did it happen to him? And what did that mean for Christopher? He wanted to cry, but no tears fell.

"Room 103 should have a bedspace available" a young female voice said. "The doctor will be in in a few minutes" the female voice continued and then the stretcher was moving again towards room 103 at whatever hospital they were in

In room 104 Athena sat beside Christopher's bed and listened to him telling about everyone and everything in school, she listened and smiled at him, then a dull look fell upon Christopher and his eyes started to water up

"I tried holding on to the firetruck, to be brave for my Buck, but when I fell back in I was so scared" Christopher cried.

"Oh mío" Eddie cried from the door, neither Athena or Christopher having notice the latest arrival

"Eddie" Athena said startled and moved aside for Eddie to sit next to Christopher

"Daddy" Christopher cried and was immediately engulfed in a big squeezing hug from Eddie

"Oh mío, mi pequeño" Eddie cried hugging Christopher tight. After a while Eddie let go of Christopher. "Mío, Athena and I are just gonna go out into the hall to talk, I'll be right back I promise" Eddie said, there was a slight tremble in Christopher's lips and his eyes were still watery but he nodded in understanding. Eddie and Athena went out into the hallway just outside the door to Christopher's room so they could keep an eye on him and be near if something changed

"Please Athena tell me everything" Eddie said as soon as they reached the hallway

"They were at the pier when the tsunami hit, apparently Buck pulled them to safety on a firetruck but Christopher fell back in and they got separated, last thing he saw was Buck jumping back in after him and then he fell under and Buck and the firetruck was gone" Athena said holding back the sobs. "A woman found him and brought him to me, I recognised him and immediately brought him here and called Bobby so that you could be told" Athena continued

"Okay, and have the doctors said anything about his condition to you?" Eddie asked worried

"He is in overall good health but being kept overnight for observation to be safe" Athena answered with a look at Christopher who had laid back in the bed and closed his eyes

"Oh, gracias a Dios" Eddie said and hugged Athena
