Athena was looking at Buck when Eddie busted through the door, he stopped dead on his track when he reached the middle of the room and just looked at the occupant of the bed like he had never seen anything so beautiful in his entire life, behind him Christopher's bed was being rolled in with a very confused looking Christopher in it. Athena let go of Buck's hand and went over to Christopher's bed
"It's okay baby, everything is okay now" Athena soothed
"Where's daddy?" Christopher cried which had Eddie break his trance and run to his son's side
"I'm so sorry mío, I just… I had to see…" he tried but didn't know what to say he looked to Athena
"The doctor said he is stable for now" Athena said, answering the question in Eddie's eyes and Eddie breathed out a sigh of relief
"They found Buck mío. They have moved you to be with your Buck" Eddie said hugging Christopher
"Where? Where is Bucky" Christopher asked excitedly. "Buck" Christopher called out. Eddie looked to Athena again
"He is right in the bed next to you baby, but he can't answer right now because he is sleeping" Athena told Christopher
"But I want my Bucky" Christopher cried
"Oh mío" Eddie said and lifted Christopher up from the bed to hug him better. Eddie carried Christopher over to where Buck was laying and placed him in the chair next to the bed. "If you give me your hand and can place it on Buck's so he will know you're here?" Eddie said and Christopher put his left hand out for his father to place on top of Buck's right hand
"Bucky" Christopher cried when their hands met
"Chris, why don't you keep Buck company and tell him all about everything, I'm sure he can still hear you even though he can't answer, and I'll just go out with aunt Athena in the hall?" Eddie asked
"Yeah" Christopher said and smiled on of his megawatt smiles
"We will be right back baby" Athena said
"Okay" Christopher said, and then he started telling Buck about school and all the drama there. Eddie and Athena went out into the hallway again
"How's it looking, Athena?" Eddie asked once the door to the room closed behind them
"Honestly Eddie, I don't know" Athena answered. "The doctor mentioned this long list of injuries, and then he mentioned Buck drowning and being reviewed and I just… Oh Eddie" Athena cried hugging Eddie tight, Eddie stood dead still reviewed, Buck had been reviewed, that meant Buck had been dead, for a moment they had actually lost him.
