"Do you think… we went overboard with this project?" Nala asked nervously as she lugged the next piece over.
"Relax~ we deserve this dear! Think of the look on their faces!" Archie said in glee, screwing something together. "Though I think they might start to get curious soon, so we better hurry."
"Yeah… Just seems a bit… gaudy is all, as long as it is comfortable, and can fit us all...Well, no harm in it I guess." Nala shrugged as she brought over another piece of what they were working on.
"Maybe, but there is no harm. It will certainly be sturdy enough, the old one was getting a bit worn out…" Archie said teasingly at her younger lover.
"T-that isn't my fault.. stop looking at me like that… If anything you start the most…" Nala seemed to be unable to find a word for what she was looking for that she could actually utter.
"Sexy times? Love-making? 5 person naked wrestling? You turning us all to goo somehow? Seriously, I do not know how you do that thing with your tongue-" A hand covered the older sibling's mouth in a hurry.
Nala looked ready to burst into flames, making Archie want to throw her onto the bed they were building right then and there. "So cute~ No one can hear us or anything, silly shy kitten." Archie would pull Nala over into her arms and rest her chin between those dark red cat ears, giving them a few scratches.
Nala seemed to pout for a moment, before melting into that embrace, all too happy to get a nice hug, a purr coming up unbidden from her throat. "Sorry… You know I'm shy about that...You'll have to figure out what I do on your own though, with your body~" Nala gently teased right back, planting a few kisses on her eldest sister's neck.
Their impromptu spicy hug was broken up by a loud knock at the door. "You two almost done in there? Its starting to get late! Its been hours! Better not be having fun without us!" Rika was heard from the other side of the door.
"Yeah! Missing those cute expressions Nala makes is a tragedy!" Hoshi chimed in making Archie chuckle and nod, and Nala to blush more.
"Yeah we are almost done! 15 more minutes!" Archie called back and reluctantly let Nala go. "We better finish this up before they bust down the door." Nala nodded and rushed to grab more of their prebuilt pieces they made ahead of time.
"Ladies, we present to you, the most expensive thing and most comfortable thing in the home!" Archie and Nala gestured behind them into the bedroom.
"It took a few months to make it just right, but it is super comfortable!" Nala added as they all walked inside. Their old bed was a rickety thing that was thrown together without knowing as much about building, but it had served it's purpose… and hadn't collapsed when all five of them had fun...it was getting close to that point though.
"Very pretty! I can see why you said it would be expensive..Is that.. Jade?" Hoshi asked as they walked around the massive bed, taking in the Jade and Gold piece of Art their new bed was.
"It almost makes me feel bad to get on it…" Rika said and on top of the easily five person bed. "Very comfortable…" She purred, flopping down in delight, welcoming Julia next to her as her stomach was used as a pillow for her little sister.
"If it wasn't so late.. and I wasn't so tired… I'd love to break it in with you all… maybe in the morning, look forward to it~" Hoshi added as she snuggled up right there with Julia and Rika, yawning quietly.
Archie and Nala shrugged and got into their sleepwear before slipping under the covers to join the others. Once they all were all nice and snuggled together it was hard to tell who was touching who.
As the lights dimmed down to nearly nothing they all began to drift off.. Until Nala sat up. "Do.. you girls ever think about.. having kittens?" Nala asked and from her voice she seemed nervous to them.
"Mmm.. sometimes, you been thinking about it a lot lately?" Rika asked and hugged Nala back down against her, spooning her smaller lover and making her purr.
"Kittens would be nice, would be a bit of a harsh environment on this world for them though…" Hoshi added and stretched out, something that was harder to do on their old smaller bed.
"I think we would be able to protect them just fine, our defenses have only gotten better, and regular raiders aren't getting in, not without getting filled with holes from that turret… Even better once I get That cannon.. How is designing that going Nala?" Julia asked as there was a hint of excitement in her voice at the prospect of heavy artillery.
"Oh yes, just making some modifications to it to link up with our bio radar. Anyone gets within 5 kilometers of here is going to have a really bad time… Even cooking up some.. well really dangerous things to fire at them. Though… some of them might be considered… wrong to use by old standards…"
"Is it gas shells?" Archie asked in a deadpan voice.
"It may be poison gas shells yes. Napalm would have been just as bad but… forest fires would be even worse. Burning would be slower, so this is better. Maybe it will teach them to stop attacking us and leave us alone." Nala sounded a bit fed up with raiders trying to break in and steal from them, let alone what they might intend to do to all of them.
"I have no pity for people who are trying to hurt us." Julia added, making Archie sigh a bit.
"You're right...Sorry, I shouldn't complain about it. Anyway...I suppose someone should say it… What about.. the genetic consequences of if we had kids? I'd love kids but…" Archie felt she should at least bring up that point as the eldest sister.
Nala seemed to perk up a bit again "I've.. actually been looking into that, comparing our DNA and stuff. You know how most of our DNA was engineered anyway? We're mostly lab grown?" She asked, but didn't sound too bothered by it.
"Yeah? Sort of? I mean I remember a big tube sort of…" Archie hugged Rika from behind so she could also hug Nala.
"Well… most of the negative effects of.. incest come from flaws in our DNA coming to the surface.. recessive genes and expressive genes and such… Most of that junk DNA that is present in humans, isn't in our own DNA, its why we don't have many diseases that affect us Nyaron. In the off chance of something cropping up, I've also been making a genetic stabilizer to make sure they would be perfectly healthy~" Nala sounded rather proud of her research, and then she squeaked, leading the rest of rightly assume Hoshi had saddled up and hugged her from the front as per the norm.
"Smart sis~ come here you~" Even in the dark the rest of them could easily identify the sound of kissing, and the tiny cute sounds Nala tended to make.
"Wow, you've put a lot of thought into this… I kind of thought it was.. a pipe dream...I might need to think a bit more, but.. I'm not opposed to kids really..would bring more life here.." Archie said sounding genuinely impressed. "Glad we have a genius baby sister~"
Nala panted a tiny bit after Hoshi broke off the impromptu make-out session. "T-thanks...I.. I want to be a mom.. one day, just the idea makes me pretty happy…" She said and hugged Hoshi to her chest, where she was more than happy to start falling asleep again.
"All in favor of family planning?" Archie said to those in their shared bed.
"Aye, lets get Nala pregnant first." Hoshi sleepily chimed in, snickering to herself.
"I.. like it, I'm for it." Rika said and started to imagine a bunch of cute kittens wandering around calling her mama, the rest didn't even need to see her face to know what kind of face she might be making, she always was the most motherly of them.
"Mmm, I'm fine with it. Make me that cannon and nothing will get close to them." Julia said and snuggled into that pile.
"Being my idea, I'm in favor of it..I.. want to be called mom, I could even be our teacher." Nala joined Rika in fantasizing about their kittens.
"Suppose I would be needed for this, being the only one that could knock you all up. I'm good with it also. We can work out details.. in the morning… night all…" Archie said and sounded like she was passing out. "Making this thing was tiring… Love you girls."
With a chorus of I love yous they all curled up proper for actually sleeping.
Not five minutes later, Nala popped back up into a sitting position. "But what if-" She was pulled back down into Rika's breasts where her words were cut off.
"Sleeeeeep…" Rika grumbled and used Nala as her body pillow for the night. Another peaceful night for the cats of Rimworld.
