Tommy was still in shock what Carter said that he and his five other friends will be Megakat City's new heroes after the SWAT Kats had been killed. "So, you're going to train me to be a hero?" Tommy asked.
"Yes. Including your best friend Hector, Harvey, Wally and his brother, Joey, and Natasha," Carter said. "I know that you had a rough day at the Memorial Park in honor of the SWAT Kats and this is a lot to sink in, but I want you to know that you, you family and especially your friends were all privileged to live a life that has been touched by the SWAT Kats. Those heroes possessed extraordinary gifts and they shared them with you and your friends freely. None of these gifts were more remarkable than their ability to discern what needed to be done and their unfailing courage in doing it whatever the personal cost. Go to bed, young Tommy, I'll be seeing you and your friends in the morning."
"Good night, Carter," Tommy said as he let out a yawn and stretch.
"Just remember, these are the times when a young man is going to be the man he chooses to be for the rest of his life and with this great power comes great responsibility," Carter said just as he opened the window outside and left.
Meanwhile at Enforcers HQ, Felina was in the forensics lab along with Dr. Konway examining every piece of evidence from the crime scene in Megakat Savings Bank. Lt. Steele walked in to see Felina was watching the video of Razor and T-Bone being denigrating into pieces. "What is it, Nathan?"
"I think that you should go home for tonight," Lt. Steele said. "Your uncle and Sgt. Riggs were worried about you since the SWAT Kats died today."
"I'm never going to accept that they're dead."
"Neither am I," Dr. Konway said.
"Why not, Felina and Jason?" Lt. Steele asked.
"Because they're not dead," Dr. Konway said as he, Felina and Lt. Steele walked over to a table with evidence from the Megakat Savings Bank.
"What tipped me off was the lack of evidence," Felina began.
"Ma'am?"
"I brought all this from the crime scene, and Jason and I've examined it every way we know how."
"And you two found?"
"Absolutely nothing," Dr. Konway concluded. "No scorching, no residue, no radiation. Objects were here, then they were gone."
"I'm afraid I don't understand, genius," Lt. Steele said as he had no clue about what's going on.
"Matter can't be created or destroyed, just changed from one form into another," Felina explained to Lt. Steele from scientific talk to Simple English.
"As you say, Doctor. I believe I heard something about that when I attended college."
"So, unless the law of conservation of mass has been repealed, there's still hope," Dr. Konway said.
"That's… wonderful news, Jason," Lt. Steele said as he tried to sound optimistic. "Nevertheless, don't you think you two ought to take a break after a long day?"
"What for? I've got work to do," Felina said as she began her investigation.

The next day at the skating park, Tommy, Hector, Wally, Joey, Harvey, and Natasha were performing cool tricks on their skateboards, roller blades and bicycles. Tommy did a 360-degree spin in the air as Hector grinded a rail on his skateboard. Natasha rode through a tunnel with her roller blades.
"Yee-haw!" Natasha yelled.
"Wow, look at that girl go," Hector said in amazement.
"Hey, Harvey, want to go for another round of bike racing?" Joey asked.
Harvey, however, didn't answer as he was reading The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. "Um, hello, Earth to Harvey. Come in, Harvey. Come in, Harvey," Wally called.
"What?" Harvey asked as he looked up. "Oh, sorry. I was just reading a passage of Lucy and Susan running over to the stone table broken and Aslan the lion alive. It made wonder that it was a reference to the passion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It made me wonder that our heroes, the SWAT Kats, aren't really dead as everyone in this city thinks."
"I hope so. My father seemed to look like that he misses them. Underneath that hard, intimidating shell my father is really soft and gentle on the inside," Hector said.
"But you do have your father's feisty and commanding fire," Tommy said.
"Like father, like son," Wally said.
Tommy pulled out his watch to see that he and his friends need to be at Carter's hidden dojo for training to be a new generation of heroes. "Come on, guys. We have to go to the old, abandoned subway station," Tommy said.
"Right now?" Hector asked.
"Right now," Joey said as he and the others hightailed to the dojo.
Along the way, Tommy and the others chose to stop at the junkyard to see that Jake and Chance weren't there. Thus, Tommy knew that the SWAT Kats were Jake and Chance and their hangar is in the junkyard. "So, why are stopping at the dump?" Wally asked.
"Because I wanted to pay my respects for the SWAT Kats," Tommy said.
"Because one man's trash is another man's treasure," Hector said as he put a toy pig's head on a broken G.I. Joe action figure then throws it away. "I was wrong. It's all trash."
"Not so fast, I just found a DVD, Cool World," Tommy said as he pulled out the DVD from the ground but throws it away too. "Sure, it was a complete bust and was rated 6% on Rotten Tomatoes, but it had its moments."
The gang arrived at the dojo as Carter set up the training area along with a female lynx samurai from the Dark Ages. Her name is Lady Masako Adachi from the Adachi Samurai Clan.
"Welcome, children," Carter said.
"Hello, Master Delsin," Tommy and his friends said in unison.
"I would like you to meet an old friend of mine from Feudal Japan. Lady Masako Adachi of the Adachi Samurai Clan."
Lady Masako bowed to the children as Tommy and the others bowed back in respect for the lady samurai. "Wow, she's old enough to be my grandmother," Hector said.
"Hector!" Tommy lectured Hector. "Show some respect for your elders."
"Today, we will teach you in the fields of stealth, combat training, medical training, and explosives training," Masako said.
("The Fighter," by Gym Class Heroes featuring Ryan Tedder)
The kids got their fighting staffs from the racks and started staff fighting, but Wally, accidentally hit Hector.
"Ow! Watch where you're swinging that staff, you're gonna hurt somebody!" Hector yelled.
"Sorry," Wally said as he continues training until he hit Tommy.
"Ouch!" Tommy shouted.
"Sorry." Wally then accidentally hits Harvey on the back of the head.
"Ow!"
"Sorry."
"Now, let's try the crane stance," Carter said as he and Masako demonstrated the stance as Tommy and Hector did the stance perfectly. However, Wally struggled to perform the stance as he stood on one leg and tried to maintain his balance as he fell down to the ground.
The children were then training in the art of stealth as Tommy blended perfectly due to his invisibility power that Carter found within him. Hector, Harvey, Joey, and Natasha were hidden in plain sight due to camouflage they put on themselves outside. Wally, on the other hand, didn't make a proper camouflage disguise as he stood up like a sore thumb with his long tail poking out behind a tree and bushes.
The kids were seen fighting Omegas in a combat simulation ring as Hector did a leg sweep on one Omega and falcon punched him out. Tommy dodged every attack from an Omega with blinding speed as he took him out by hitting the pressure points. Unfortunately, Wally kept getting pushed around like a rag doll as Hector had to step in to protect him. "Come on, Wally, you can do it. Just stay focused and keep an eye on their incoming attacks," Hector said.
"You got it, boss," Wally said as he starts to fight back against the Omega simulations.
The kids were practicing medical training as Carter showed them how to administer the appropriate medical care during combat. Tommy was performed very well with flying colors as he treated a broken right arm by setting the bone back in properly and make the cast not too tight or too loose. Wally unknowingly had mistaken a pufferfish for a flounder as he ate a piece of the pufferfish and started to go numb and was unable to move.
"Wally! That's a pufferfish!" Hector shouted as he started to treat Wally for tetrodotoxin poisoning. "Hang on, Wally. Just stay with me."
Carter stepped in to help the poor kangaroo as he used his magic to remove the poisoning from Wally's body and Wally felt better. "Are you okay?" Carter asked.
"Yes, much better. Thanks," Wally said.
"Be more careful the next time you mistaken a poisonous pufferfish with some other edible fish," Carter warned.
"Will do."
"The next thing in medical training as Carter demonstrated is cure poisoning and venom injections. There are certain poisoning and venom formulas that would require certain antidote and antivenom formulas," Masako said. "Wally, care to demonstrate how to cure rattlesnake venom injection?"
"Sure, no problem," Wally said as he made a flask with some potion and gave it to Harvey demonstrating a rattlesnake bite.
Harvey drank the potion as he started to act funny and felt the antivenom working, but everyone gasped. "What? What is it?" Harvey asked.
"Don't look in the mirror," Joey said.
But Harvey looked in the mirror to see that he had lizard skin all over his body as he screamed.
"I told you not to look in the mirror!" Joey exclaimed.
"I'm a lizard! I will become a bulldog-lizard!" Harvey exclaimed but saw that the lizard skin was easily removed.
"See? Reptiles shed their skin. No problem," Wally said.
"Very good, Wally, but pay more attention to the potions and don't try to add anything that has reptilian components," Carter said.
The children were training sword fighting techniques with wooden swords as Wally hits Hector from behind with his wooden sword. Hector growls aggressively as he turns around to stare Wally in the eyes.
"Sorry," Wally gasped.
"I'm gonna turn you into my own personal hand puppet!" Hector growled as he started chasing Wally after getting hit by him one too many times.
Then, Carter pulls Hector, who is the best of his students, aside.
"Hector, I need you to be honest with me, what do you think of Wally?" He asked.
Hector hesitated for second and quickly replied. "I love Wally. His heart is like a flower. He has the spirit of a tiger. He-"
"Hector!" Carter growled seeing through Hector's lies.
Then Hector frowned and gave Carter the truth. "He has no skill; he's a fool and he is an embarrassment to heroes everywhere."
Carter felt his heart break. He loved Wally because he so wanted to be a great hero. "Hector, I know that he keeps messing up, but you must have patience with him. He's your friend and you must learn to develop trust in him and work with him and your friends as a team. In war and crime-fighting, individuals fail, only teams succeed," Carter consoled.
"Yes, sir," Hector said.
"Wally. Can I have a word with you?" Carter called as Wally walks towards him. "I just spoke with Hector and he is willing to work with you as long as you have the heart to be a great hero."
"I don't know. Maybe I am a great failure. I will never be great as the SWAT Kats," Wally said in a pessimistic tone.
"Wally, for a true hero is not measured by the size of his or her strength, but by the strength of his or her heart. As it says in the Holy Bible John 15:13, 'No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends.' You have a good heart and despite the challenges you went through today, you kept on going through and didn't back down. You should be proud of yourself," Carter consoled the kangaroo.
Wally started to cheer up as he started to smile. "You really think so?" Wally asked.
"Of course, you can do anything as long as keep working hard and you will eventually be a great hero."
"Okay, I'll do it," Wally said as he felt much better.
"Great. Now, get in there and keep on training."
"Yes sir," Wally said as he continued to improve his fighting skills.
Three weeks later, police sirens wailed as a news report aired on flat screened TV at a Best Buy store with Ann Gora and Johnny Kaiser reporting. "As feared, crime rates have soared in the past weeks. Criminals have become more daring and Megakat City Enforcers remains critically understaffed and underfunded. On the bright side, computer technology trillionaire, head of Clawson Enterprises and philanthropist, Tony Clawson, contributed $10 million to the Enforcers earlier today. But ultimately, Megakat City is still faced with a stark reality that no police force, no matter how well-trained or how well-equipped, will ever be as omnipresent as two masked heroes. The disappearance of the SWAT Kats has left a huge hole in the heart of the city. Even the Enforcers are joining in the prayers of the city for the return of the SWAT Kats. The question on everyone's lips is, "Where are the SWAT Kats?"
Then, a brick was thrown at the Best Buy store window and the alarms went off as a couple of thieves stole 2 flat screen TVs from the store. Fires started out throughout the city as many criminals were celebrating for the recent loss of the SWAT Kats. They even went so far as causing major traffic accidents, destroying public and private property and looting jewelry stores, banks, video games and electronic stores.
Two Enforcers opened fire at the Metallikats, Hard Drive and Dr. Viper. "This is hopeless. We may as well be throwing candy corn at them," one Enforcer said.
"So, what do you want to do? Give them the city?" the other Enforcer said to his partner.
Mac Mange threw the parking toll at the Enforcers cruiser as the two Enforcers ducked down in time and ran away as Mac picked up the cruiser. "You think your pitiful Alkatratz prison can hold me?" Mac asked.
"Fire at will!" one Enforcer said as he and his partner shot at Mac Mange but their bullets have no effect on him.
"This looks like a job for the SWAT Kats, but I don't think their coming," Mac taunted as he threw the cruiser at a government building and set it on fire as Molly took the two Enforcers out.
Back at Enforcers HQ, Commander Feral, Deputy Mayor Callie Briggs, Felina Feral and other city officials held a meeting at a conference room. "We're swamped. We've had more than 3,000 calls since midnight last night," Felina said as she took a sip of coffee.
"We got every man and woman in uniform on the streets and I'm still shorthanded. We got meter maids chasing petty thieves all over midtown," Sgt. Riggs said as he sat down with other city officials.
At that moment, Mayor Manx came into the room as reporters asked him questions. "What the hell's going on? It's pandemonium out there!" Manx exclaimed.
"Yes sir, I know. We're working on it," Callie said.
"Great, while you and the Enforcers are working on it, I'm going down in history as the mayor who let Megakat City get sucked down into the 10supth/sup level of Hell," Manx said as he showed a map of crime rates that happened in Megakat City.

At one convenience store, two thugs were stealing money from a cash register as one thug held a shotgun at a couple. "Hurry up!" one thug shouted at the couple as his partner stole the money and the other stole a muffin from the counter. Then suddenly, Harvey, who completed his training with Carter and his friends is now called Spider-Dog swings in with his spider webs and takes out the thugs. Gave the stolen money and muffin back to the couple and takes off.
A newspaper article read "Masked Kid Foils Robbery," as the couple gave their account on foiled robbery.
Ann Gora and Johnny Kaiser interviewed people throughout the city as a group of young heroes were called the Elite Six by SWAT Kat fan supporters from the SWAT Kat Squad and other pro-SWAT Kat citizens. "This is not a man. My brother saw him building a nest in the Lincoln Center," one kat said.
"I think he's a kid. I think he's a man. Could be a woman," a she kat said along with her friend.
An alarm rang off at a jewelry store as four Enforcer squad cars arrived at the scene. "Bobby! Get a load of this!" an Enforcer called as he saw two thugs stuck on a spider web.
Tommy and Hector, who are now Shadow and Sabre, took out six gang members during a money laundering operation as the police showed up.
"He throws up his hands, ropes come out, and he climbs them up the robes like a spider web," another gentleman said as they were interviewed by another reporter.
Newspapers were filled with the Elite Six protecting citizens, stopping criminals and crime rates have sunk down since the arrival of the Elite Six. "I see the web, their signatures, and I know Shadow, Sabre, Spider-Dog, Captain Downunder, Crickey and Nightshade were here," a female lynx said.
"The young heroes protect us, protects the people of Megakat City, New York and Northern New Jersey," another gentleman said.
"What do you personally think of the Elite Six?" a reporter asked an Enforcer.
"Uh, some kind of freakyloo or something. Wacky doo," the Enforcer said.
Carter overheard what the Enforcer said. "They're not freaky, they're just different," he said.
"What do you personally think of the SWAT Kats, Burke?" Ann asked Murray and Burke.
"They stink and I don't like them," Murray said.
Hector angrily growls as he picks up a lacrosse ball and throws it at Murray's head. "See if you like this!"
The lacrosse balls hit Murray on the head as he got knocked out and falls to the ground.
A she-kat was pinned to the ground as a felon pulled a .44 magnum revolver on her. "Don't move!" the crocodile warned as he pointed his gun at her and stole her purse. Suddenly, a boomerang was knocked out of his hands and his body was surround by magical energy.
"It's not nice to point a loaded gun at a lady and steal her handbag," Nightshade said as she put him in magical stasis field that he couldn't escape until the Enforcers show up.
Captain Downunder returns the purse back to the lady as she pulled out a note within her purse that read: 'COURTESTY, YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD ELITE SIX.'
A high school reporter asked two goth Egyptian jackal girls who they think of the hero Sabre. "Guy with strength like Superman's. Sounds hot," the girl said.
Another reporter asks a she-kat what she thinks of Carter. "He has those tights and that tight little—" the lady began but was cut off due to technical difficulties.
A musician was seen playing a guitar as Johnny was recording the video. "Dresses like a spider. He looks like a bug. But we should all just give them One big hug. Look out, woo! Here comes the Elite Six!" the musician sang.
On top of a building, Tommy, Hector, Harvey, Wally, Joey and Natasha changed into their hero costumes as they jumped from rooftop to rooftop as they were a new generation of heroes for the people of Megakat City. Carter sat on a flag pole as he saw his apprentices were doing a great job in protecting the city. "Their journey has begun," Carter said.
One week later...
Some SWAT Kats haters were shown destroying and spray painting statues of Razor and T-Bone. "About those vigilantes bite the dust," one thug said.
"Yeah, those kats busted me and my gang on a drug operation. They screwed me and now I screw them back by destroying their beloved statue," a she-kat thug said.
Suddenly, two Enforcer patrol cars shows up to arrest the vandals. "Attention all vandals of the SWAT Kats statue. You are all under arrest for disorderly conduct, willful destruction of public property, vandalism and disturbing the peace," Felina warned as she got out of the car and other Enforcers arrested the haters. As a result, the vandals were ordered to repair the damages to the statue, pay a fine $5,000 and do three weeks of community service.
On the West side of Megakat City, Tommy and his friends were performing a concert gig in memory Razor and T-Bone along with other supporters from the SWAT Kat Squad.
("Anthem of the Angels," by Breaking Benjamin)
Harvey heard his phone ring as he answered, "Hello?"
"Harvey, this Carter," Carter said. "Dark Kat is seen at the nuclear power plant stealing radioactive isotopes. I need you and the others to stop his Omegas."
"We're on our way," Harvey said as he hung up.
The gang were hanging out backstage as Harvey said, "We need to stop an isotope robbery at the nuclear power plant."
"Let's do it guys!" Tommy said.
"Right!" Harvey, Hector, Wally, Joey, and Natasha shouted as they transformed into their hero costumes.
("Flying in the Sky," by Yoshifumi Ushima)
Shadow and Sabre were flying in specialized biplanes with the SWAT Kat logo on them as Spider-Dog was web slinging, Captain Downunder and Crickey drove in a tank and Nightshade rode on a motorcycle. At the nuclear power plant, some Omegas were loading up on isotopes as Dark Kat was overseeing his troops. "Come on, hurry up. The sooner we're done loading up those isotopes, the sooner we can get out of here before the Enforcers show up," Dark Kat said.
"We're almost done boss," one Omega said.
Then, the Elite Six showed up as they broke through a wall. "Stop right there, criminal scum!" Spider-Dog said.
"What the?" one Omega asked.
"Who the hell are these kids?" Dark Kat asked.
"We are the Elite Six, the new defenders of Megakat City," Shadow began. "Starting with me, SWAT Kat ninja, Shadow!"
Sabre did a heroic pose, "SWAT Kat, Sabre!"
"Spider-Dog," Spider-Dog called while doing cool stunts.
"Captain Downunder and Crickey!" Captain Downunder and Crickey called in pride.
"Nightshade!" Nightshade called as she did posed.
"Foolish kids," Dark Kat frowned. "Omegas, take care of these pests."
("Let's Rock 'N Roll," by Super Power)
Shadow pulled out his ninja sword and fought some Omegas as he sliced and diced them. One Omega tried to take him out with a low kick, but Shadow jumped and high kicked the Omega down. Another tried to kick him, but Shadow countered by lying on top of him while hold up the Omega's left leg up in the air and pinned him down to the ground.
Crickey swung on a chain rope and knocked out some Omegas with his legs.
Captain Downunder threw boomerangs at the Omegas firing at him and took them out. "Aha! How do you like them apples, huh?" Captain Downunder asked. "Guess I'm not a big screwup," he said as he leaned against a stack of empty barrels and he fell.
Spider-Dog shot his webs at the Omegas and they got stuck on the wall. One Omega readied his rifle as he took aim, but Spider-Dog shot his web at the gun and the Omega couldn't open fire because his hands were stuck on his weapon. Then, Nightshade cast a spell on the Omega and held him down with magical restraints.
Dark Kat clapped his hands as he said, "Impressive, young ones. However, your feeble skills and powers are no match for the power of the Dark Side."
"We shall see about that! Let's get him!" Sabre called as he led the charge with his fellow teammates but Dark Kat held out his hands and shot powerful bolts of electricity towards the young heroes and easily defeated them.
"No! We lost!" Sabre yelled in defeat as he looked at his other friends. It broke his heart to see their spirits broken along with his, especially to his friends Tommy and Wally.
"Maybe I am a complete failure," Captain Downunder cried.
"I'm sorry, Razor and T-Bone. We failed you," Shadow said.
"How could I've lost," Spider-Dog asked in sadness.
"Brother, we can't lose hope," Crickey said.
"No! It can't be!" Nightshade cried.
"There is no challenge when you're fighting with a bunch of children, but seeing you like this," Dark Kat smirked and said with pride, "does bring a smile to my face."
"You're just a bully!" Nightshade yelled at him.
"A true master does not rule through fear and brutality and it's not the power that counts, Dark Kat, it's what you do with it," Shadow talked back.
"And we will never bow to you!" Sabre defied.
"You kids are such a muse. I will not destroy you... for now," Dark Kat laughed as he left, leaving the Elite Six's spirits broken.
Carter saw the whole thing and broke his heart to see the young heroes in such pain. He walks out of the shadows and headed towards his apprentices. "Are you kids alright?" he asked.
"No," Shadow said in shame. "I'm afraid that you and especially Queen Callista have chosen the wrong leader and team. I don't think we're worthy of being Megakat City's new heroes."
