The Enforcers and Elite Six all looked at the scene before them. Prison guards laid dead from either being slayed by Slasher's Ninjoto or by Siren's deadly kiss. It was clear that it took two of the assassins to break Kain out of prison, but that wasn't what bothered them, it was the message left behind that was addressed to Captain Downunder. It was a death threat that meant Kain was gunning for him, and this time, he was going to be ready for the young hero.
Commander Feral stepped over the body of a guard to inspect the cell that once housed Kain. Clearly, the assassin had been freed, only then did the killing start, so it meant that this was an inside job, but who would help the Omegas free one of their assassins from prison.
While the crime scene was being checked and the security footage was being watched from the start of the break out to the escape, Saber and Nightshade were checking out the parking lot. At first, the two of them only stuck to their task by looking for clues, but then Saber spoke up.
"Would you go out with me?" he asked Nightshade, totally forgetting that he should have tried to take this slower.
Nightshade looked up and smiled. "Sure," she replied.
Now out in the middle of nowhere, Carl Lockman was holding Professor Hackle at gun point, as a trio of hired thugs tore through the lab. It was clear that they were looking for something, but what.
"Just tell me where the Dwarf star generator is and then you can go back to being an old nerd," Carl laughed, but then a loud boom was heard. Turning around, he was shocked to see Razor and T-bone standing in the doorway. Carl almost dropped his weapon at the sight of the two heroes.
"I liked you better in the future, Carl," Razor smiled as he quickly took down Carl Lockman with a judo submission hold. "You gave us a chance to come home."
T-bone had dealt with the trio of goons who had followed their boss on the robbery. Professor Hackle looked at the two heroes as he signaled the Enforcers on his home security system. He thought they were dead, but no! Here they were. In his lab, once again helping him out of another jam he had gotten into.
"Thank you, SWAT Kats," he said thanking his friends. "I thought you were dead. So did the whole city."
Razor looked up and smiled. "Are there a group of young heroes known as the Elite Six protecting Megakat City right now?" he asked the old inventor.
"Yes. Yes there is," Professor Hackle replied.
"Good," T-bone said as he kicked the trio of goons into an open closet. "That should hold them until Feral and his Enforcers get here." Then, just like that, the SWAT Kats vanished.
The whole city was going crazy with the news that the SWAT Kats where back. Some rumors were that they were zombies, others said that they had faked their deaths, but nobody cared, they were just happy that the SWAT Kats were back.
While people tried to figure things out about the sudden reappearance, Hector and Natasha were enjoying their date. As the two teens walked down the street, a dark figure was following them from the rooftops. Who ever he was, this guy knew how to trail someone without being seen. As the unknown figure stopped at the edge of a building, he watched Hector take Natasha's hand in his.
"Real cool, lover boy." he growled, then drew out his bow. Without any hesitation, the unknown figure drew an arrow, took aim and fired.
Hector and Natasha both were shocked when the arrow struck the ground in front of them. The young heroes quickly picked up the arrow that had a note wrapped around it. Figuring that it was best to read it in private, the two of them went into an alleyway to inspect the note. As Natasha unfolded the note, she could already see that it was written in Egyptian.
She was very careful to read it from start to finish. Once done, Natasha used her magic to destroy the note.
Hector was very confused. "Well, what is wrong?" he asked seeing how upset Natasha was.
The lovey Jackal looked at the young tom. Her eyes filling with tears. "The Jackal God Anubis has sent me an invitation. He wants me to come home." Natasha said sadly.
Hector cocked his head. "Anubis? The Egyptian god of the dead? I thought there was only one true God." he exclaimed, but Natasha shook her head.
"There is only one God who rules over all that we know, but Anubis is actually a Half-God," Natasha said trying to explain the difference between God and the Half-Gods. "The Half-Gods were people born with great powers that people back then worshiped them, believing that they were actual Gods. But unlike the God of Heaven and Earth, who is all knowing and forever in time, the Half-Gods could die in battle and die of old age."
"So, this Anubis, is he the first one, or just another Half-God?" Hector asked.
"He is the third Anubis," Natasha said. "The first one died when God stuck Egypt with the tenth plague that killed all the first born in the land. The second died when he got challenged to mortal combat with the fourth Half-God, Thor of Norway. This Anubis is still learning the way of the Half-Gods, but I still must become his bride for this next life."
And with that, Natasha turned away sadly to walk away, but Hector grabbed her hand. "I won't let you throw your life and happiness away for some Half-God," he said, then looked up to the sky. "You want her Anubis? Well, you can't. Because I am Hector Feral, son of Commander Feral. I will challenge you for her freedom here and now!"
"No! Hector!" Natasha shouted. "You have no idea what you are getting yourself into!"
But it was too late. A portal opened up and out stepped Anubis. His red eyes glowed brightly as he looked at Hector. "Challenge accepted." he growled, then looked rather happy that Hector wanted to fight him.
Later that day…
"You did what!?" Carter shouted at Hector in utter disbelief when he learned what had just happened. "What are you thinking? Anubis will win the challenge because he knows so many tricks."
Hector said nothing, but only looked sadly at Natasha who was standing among her team mates.
"He's crazy," Wally said.
"Completely fucked," Tommy replied pulling out a paper that was from his uncle's law firm. "You want to make your last will and testament now? Or later?"
Joey looked over at Tommy. "Now would be better." he said.
Harvey just stood there, silently praying for his friend.
"Guys," Hector said brushing his friends off. "I'm going to be alright. Anubis said he if I could survive for 24 hours starting at noon today, he would call off the wedding." he sounded really confident, but his body language told a different story. In fact, Hector was down right scared to death that he would die and Anubis would have Natasha as his bride.
Carter shook his head. "Kids today," he said sighing. "Always wanting to play hero and save the damsel in distress."
Back at city hall, Callie was waiting for the SWAT Kats to drop by. Oh, how she missed them. The lovely she-kat didn't have to wait long, because who could not notice the TurboKat flying toward city hall. Callie smiled when the two heroes landed and jumped out to see her and the whole crowd of fans just waiting to see them after being gone for so long.
"It's great to see you two again," Callie said beaming as she hugged her two favorite heroes.
"It's good to see you Miss Briggs," T-bone said.
"Yeah, we missed protecting this city," Razor smiled, but then whispered in Callie's ear, "But I missed you most of all, Callie."
Callie looked at Razor and placed a kiss on his cheek. "Then make it up to me tonight, Jake," she said loud enough for only him and T-bone to hear her.
"Will do, Miss Briggs," Razor nodded, before him and T-bone left to return the hanger.
Not far off, Hector was siting at a table outside his favorite coffee shop. Just across from him was his friend Tommy, who was there to help keep him safe from Anubis.
And it wasn't only Tommy who was watching out for his friend, but Wally as well. He was stationed on a roof that overlooked the coffee shop.
Looking at his watch, Hector began to wonder why his frozen French Vanilla coffee was taking so long. He was about to get up and ask the staff about the delay when a very pretty vixen walked up with his order.
"Sorry for the wait, sir, but we were having trouble getting our ice machine working," the vixen said in a rather sexy tone. "But I am willing to make it up to you," she smiled, before blowing some pheromone dust in his face as she put the coffee down in front of Hector.
"You're so damn sexy," Hector said blushing, as he reached up and groped Siren's breasts that were hidden by her shirt.
From where Tommy was sitting, he could clearly see that the lady vixen was messing around with his friend, but what he didn't know what the vixen was about to do.
But from Wally's view point from the roof, he knew who the vixen was. It was Siren! No doubt Anubis tipped off the assassins about Hector being Saber! He had to stop her from seducing Hector. Before he could alert Tommy to the assassin, someone grabbed him from behind.
It was Kain!
"Well, Captain Downunder, or should I call you Wally? It's sad that the fight has already ended, before it could even begin," Kain smiled as he held the young hero over the ledge of the building. It looked as if the assassin was going to win this time, but he had one question to ask.
"Any last words, Wally?"
("We Got The Beat" by the Go-Gos)
Wally smiled. "Yeah," he said, then grabbed Kain's arm and swung himself under the legs of the assassin. Kain was flipped onto his back as Wally looked down at him. "Go fuck yourself!"
Kain wasted no time in getting back up. "I will break you!" he shouted and began to battle the young hero.
Down on the street, Siren had just kissed Hector, who only smiled at her. The killer vixen smiled at her soon to be victim. "So sorry, Saber, but it's time for you to die," she said sweetly in his ear.
But Hector's smile faded as popped a peppermint into his mouth. "Sorry, Siren," he said as Tommy knocked her out by karate chopping Siren from behind. "But, we learned how to protect ourselves from your poison kiss. Oh, and thanks for letting me touch your boobs."
Up on the roof, Wally was thrown against a wall. Kain slowly walked up to the wounded hero. "Just scream my name, boy! Beg me to show you mercy," he said grabbing Wally by the neck.
But the young kangaroo just spit in his face. "Never," he growled.
Kain slammed Wally onto the ground three times before he raised him over his head. "Now, I will break you!" he shouted triumphantly, but his dream of breaking Wally quickly turned into a nightmare.
Wally quickly pulled out a syringe that had mix of the super soldier drug that gave Kain his super strength, and his own super sedative. With blinding speed, the kangaroo stabbed Kain in neck with the syringe. And almost instantly, the assassin began to feel the effect of drugs that were rushing to his heart.
"No! The pain! Stop it!" Kain shouted as he started to show signs of heart failure. Kain was in such pain that he took a wrong step and fell off the roof. Wally ran to the ledge in time to see Kain hit the ground hard.
It was over for Siren and Kain. The two assassins were finished, but there were still the remaining assassins and the remainder of the Omega cult left to stop.
As the Enforcers began to take away Siren and Kain, the deadly vixen had something to say to Commander Feral. "Hard Drive has always had a thing for trains, if the Elite Six don't hurry, they may be to late to catch one," she said.
Commander Feral quickly put out an alert on all radio frequencies, maybe, just maybe, the SWAT Kats or the Elite Six could save the unknown train.
