Once Leo, who was still out cold from the injection was situated on an examing table, Donnie began to run a series of tests on his brother.
The purple bandanna wearing turtle placed small suction cups onto Leo's head that were connected to a computer.
Donnie flicked a switch on and a picture appeared onto the screen.
"Cool.
I didn't know you can play video games on this thing," said Mikey.
"It's not a video game Mikey.
"It's a scaner to monitor Leo's brain activity," Donnie pointed out.
"So can you still play video games on it?"
The orange bandanna clad turtle got a respond with a slap to the back of the head, courtesy of Raph, which was followed by a slap to not just his own head but Mikey's as well from Splinter who said, "Enough!
This is not a time for foolishness.
We have to think about Leo's wellbeing."
"Do you see anything Dee?" April asked Donnie, as he replied, "I'm not seeing any signs of head truama or injuries to the brain, which is a hopefully sign."
'Say, what happens if Leo wakes up and goes all bonkers again?" Casey asked.
"I have plenty of the sreum left just in case."
"Well, I think we're about to find out soon," said Mikey, who pointed out to Leo, on the table, as he looked to be opening his eyes.
"Everyone get prepare!" Raph called out.
By that moment, Leo had fully opened his eyes.
To make sure they wouldn't repeat what happened earlier, the other turtles got themselves ready, in case the situation gets out of control.
Once his eyes opened up, Leo looked around.
Sure enough, Raph was right, as the blue bandanna wearing turtle went off on a screaming tyrant, being that he was now hooked up the the equipment in the lab.
"What's going on here?!"
What are you doing to me?!" he shouted.
As he, Mikey, and Raph grabbed on to Leo to hold his steady, Casey shouted, "Give him some more of that turkey juice D!"
"If I do, we'll just keeping going back to square one, and not being able to take care of Leo's problem.
Let me try to talk to him first, before I give him anymore sreum," Donnie suggested.
The purple bandanna wearing turtle knelt down to his brother and said, "Leo, calm down.
It's OK, you're with us.
Your family, your friends."
"I don't even know who you people are!
And why are you calling me Leo?!" Leo shouted.
"Well, it is your name isn't it?"
"I don't even know who I am!"
Donnie shook his head, sighed, turned to his other brothers, Splinter, Casey and April and said, "I've got good news and bad news.
I finally can diagnose Leo.
Unfortuntly, he's got amneisa."
Everyone gasped.
"Apparently the impact from when Leo crashed into the wall from the explosion as the toy factory caused Leo to loss his memory," Donnie concluded.
"Hey, remember when Mikey hit his head, and it changed his personality?" Casey asked, referring to an accident the orange badanna wearing turtle had not so long ago.
"Where are you getting at Jones?" said Raph.
"Raph, what Casey is saying actually is quite understandable.
It all depends where the injury occurs," April pointed out.
"Exactly, the area where Mikey was hit changed his personality.
Meanwhile, the area where Leo was hit disturbed his memory," Donnie added.
"How long is Leo going to have magniseia?" asked Mikey.
"It's amnesia Mikey, and it's hard to tell," April replied.
"April's right Mikey.
It could anywhere from a few days, till months.
However, I have read about cases lasting for years.
So, it's hard to tell," Donnie added.
"If..If you would excuse me," said Splinter, before exiting the lab.
"I'll go talk to him," April whispered to Donnie, as she followed the turtles' teacher/father.
Usually, whenever Splinter was upset, Leo would be the one to check on him.
But, in the condition, the blue bandanna wearing turtle was in, it was now up to her.
April knew exactly where to find Splinter, which was in the dojo.
She found him sitting on the floor, appearing to be meditating.
However, the human half rat mutant was actually looking some photos he had taken.
One was of the turtles as small children while the other was a more present day photo.
"Uh, excuse me Splinter," April pratically whispered not to disturbe him.
The team's sensi turned his head and said," April, please come in."
After entering the dojo, April said, "I hope I'm not bothering you sensi."
"April, you're always welcome to the dojo, and our home," said Splinter, as he gave her a small smile.
"Is there anything I can do for you?
I can make you some tea?"
"Thank you, but I'm fine right now."
April could see that the smile fade away for the half huamn half rat mutant's face.
She placed a hand on his shoulder and said, "I understand how you feel.
We all do.
We're all very worry about Leo."
"April, I'm not sure if I can bear the feeling of lossing another child," said Splinter.
He already had Karai, or rather by her birth name Miaw taken from him when she was just a baby.
And will she was very much alive, Miaw/Karai still does not see him as her father.
Now, his son has no memory of his own family at all.
"We have to stay positive.
Leo will get better," said April.
"I hope so April.
I really hope so."
Meanwhile, back in the lab, Donnie performed tests on Leo, as the other turtles and Casey waited in the living room, where Mikey and Casey played a video game, and Raph took his frustation of the situation on a punching bag, designed to look like Shredder.
He looked over at his brother and human friend and said to them, "How can you two be playing a video game at a time like this?"
"Easy, the gaming system was already hooked up to the TV, so we decided to play," Casey replied.
"It's helping us relax with what's going on with Leo.
Kind of like you beating the snot out of that punching bag," Mikey pointed out.
At that moment, Donnie stepped out of the lab.
"Everyone, I need to talk to you all," he said.
Raph looked up, and turned to his brother.
As did Mikey and Casey, who had stopped playing thier video game.
Splinter and April emerged from the dojo.
"Donatello, how is Leonardo?" the team's sensi asked.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about.
I finished running the tests on Leo.
Phsically, he's fine.
However, he does indeed have a serious case of aminesa.
He doesn't know who he is, or who we are," Donnie answered.
"So, can't you just give him something for it like medicine?" Casey suggested.
"It doesn't work that way Casey."
"Donnie's right Casey.
Having amniesa isn't like having a cold or the flu.
We can't give a pill to Leo, hoping it can get his memory back," April added.
"It's too bad we can't just show Leo pictures and tell stories, and hope for his memory to come back," said Mikey.
"Actually that's a great idea Mikey.
Maybe looking at photos can help trigger something in Leo's mind and restore his memory," said Donnie.
"Wow, Mikey did actually had a great idea.
We should mark it down on the calendar," said Raph, before earning a raspberry by Mikey.
