One year later.
Levi had to grin as he finished touching up his groomsmen outfit for his mother's wedding. Booker was doing the same. Both had been surprised that Devon and Garett had both shown up as guests.
Raven, Tess and Nia were finishing their work as bridesmaids, Raven being the maid of honor.
Raven mouthed 'good luck', as the wedding march began. All hadn't minded the wedding being held in Tennessee, and in a baptist church, no less.
An hour or so later, it was time for the reception. Raven grinned as she watched Chelsea and Ryan have their first dance as husband and wife. Seeing her son and daughter also dancing, Nia with Levi, Booker with Tess brought smiles to her and Devon's faces.
"They might marry them some day." She managed, struggling to keep it together.
Later, Levi offered to help cut the wedding cake, even passing his stepfather a slice.
"Thanks, kiddo."
"No problem."
Ryan's best man, a half Georgian, Paul something, Raven couldn't for the life of her remember the name, a bit drunk, muttered something about them having kids of their own. One of Ryan's work colleagues, a Japanese American who'd originally come from Connecticut from what Raven remembered, hit him with a slice of bread.
"Claud!."
"Lay off the Georgian wine, Paul." She warned.
Raven was soon dancing with some of his other colleagues, even his boss, a Chinese American, David Ye.
"Ryan has been a great help to our firm."
"Yeah?"
"Indeed. We've won many cases thanks to him. Granted, we've lost a few, but not through a lack of trying."
That got her laughing a bit, or maybe it had been the bourbon.
Later, Levi blew a kiss as the couple headed off for their honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains.
