Allen's hood flew back, revealing an expanse of soft, white hair.
"Oh!" Kuri gasped, reaching out to touch it.
Allen jerked away.
"Wait, I…" Kuri tried again.
Allen dodged.
Kuri sighed, hurt. "I'll get the food." She headed to a nearby food stand, and bought a bunch of food with the offering money she had from the shrine. She was hurt and confused. Maybe he didn't see her that way, it was obvious why—she was terribly scarred from her bouts with akuma and Noah…and things in her past she was blocking out, things she couldn't remember.
Allen grabbed her from behind, nearly toppling the food over.
Kuri plastered a smile on her face, tho she didn't feel it. "Can't wait for the food?" She settled food and drink on a picnic table and sat down, prepared to tuck in; when Allen yanked the plate away.
"No food until we talk about this."
Kuri glared. "What if I say that to you?"
"Then you'd better have a damn good reason, which I believe I do."
