Chapter Six
The Raid
Tony called Gibbs and informed him of the situation. Gibbs and Fornell rushed over to the house, and were currently standing in front of the three agents.
"Alright, which one of you three let Mrs Daly and the kids go out shopping on their own!" barked Gibbs, glaring at the trio, who looked ready to melt into the floor, "You were supposed to be keeping them safe!"
"It's not their fault, Agent Gibbs," stated Kevin, "Audrey insisted on going on her own with the kids. Said that she wasn't going to let the fear of Rodregez keep her or the kids inside, and that they needed something to distract them. We all tried to stop her, but unfortunately, when Audrey has her mind set on something, there's no hope of stopping her. Anyway, shouldn't we be focusing on rescuing them."
Gibbs took a deep breath and calmed down. "Yeah, you're right," he said in a calmer tone of voice, "We'll have to start preparing for this raid now if we're to stand any chance of rescuing Audrey and the kids."
"Maybe I should surrender myself," said Kevin in a terrified manner, "I'm the one who got Audrey and the kids into this mess. Maybe if I surrender, they'll let them go."
"We can't let you take that risk," said Fornell, "Even if you do surrender, Rodregez will more than likely murder your family anyway, then you."
"We've got the warrant now," informed Gibbs before turning to Tony, McGee and Ziva, "I'll deal with you three later."
The trio simply gulped.
Kevin sat down on the sofa, looking terrified.
Over at Victor's headquarters, Victor was standing in front of Audrey, Tommy and Emma, who were looking up at him with wide, terrified eyes. They were all in Victor's living quarters.
"Please, just let us go." pleaded Audrey in a terrified manner.
"Now why should I do a thing like that?" hissed Victor as he knelt down in front of the woman, "This is what your husband gets for sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong."
"K-Kevin was only trying to do something good," informed Audrey in a voice quivering with fear, "You led two innocent people down the wrong path; Kevin was only trying to help his friends. It was reckless, but sweet."
"Then he's a pretty stupid man!" spat Victor before slapping Audrey across the face, "If he doesn't surrender, then I'm going to have a real good time with you and your kids, lady, then, I'll kill your kids slowly and one by one in front of you, then, I'll kill you."
"Oh God, please don't. I'm begging you." begged the brunette.
Victor stood up, walked over to a nearby table and picked up a poker, he then placed the tip into some hot water until it turned red hot, walked back over to the young woman and her children and aimed it at them.
"Mommy." whimpered Emma.
"I-it's going to be okay, baby," whispered a terrified Audrey, "Somebody will save us."
Not too far away, Gibbs, Tony, McGee, Ziva, Fornell and a large army of FBI agents and LAPD S.W.A.T. officers were heading towards the abandoned shipping yard.
"Hope you're ready for a battle?" asked Gibbs dryly, talking into his phone, "From what we've learned, these guys are serious business, so we'd better stay on our toes."
"Sure thing, boss." replied Tony.
Over at NCIS HQ, Director Vance, the FBI director and Commander Hicks were in M-TAC coordinating with their teams.
"Approaching target," came the voice of the S.W.A.T. sergeant, "Prepare to breach on my command: Three … two … one. GO! GO! GO! GO! GO!"
As one, the various vehicles smashed through the padlocked gates and barriers that had been blocking the entry points into the shipping yard.
"NCIS/Federal Agents/Metro P.D.!" yelled all three groups in unison as they leapt from vehicles.
What followed was a massive shootout. Gibbs, Tony, McGee, Ziva, Fornell, the FBI agents and S.W.A.T. officers exchanged gunfire with Victor's crew. Ziva used her ninja skills to take out a few guards. As the large group advanced, they and the other side began taking casualties. Everyone ducked behind large shipping containers and dodged as bullets flew in all directions.
Gibbs struck two men standing on a balcony before turning to Tony, McGee and Ziva. "Find Mrs Daly and the kids!" he yelled over the continuing gunfire, "We'll take care of these lot!"
"On it, boss!" replied McGee.
The three agents ran through the shipping yard, dodging bullets, rockets, grenades and land mines; taking out a few men along the way. Tony eventually stopped and pointed towards something. "Look, there's an office building over there!" he yelled out.
"McGee and Ziva turned and saw a nearby office building, which looked to be heavily guarded.
"Do you think Mrs Daly and the kids are in there?" asked Ziva.
"Only one way to find out." said Tony.
In the living quarters, Victor looked at the door nervously; the muffled sound of gunfire beginning to draw nearer.
"You won't get out of this." said Tommy bravely.
"Shut up!" snapped Victor as he ran over and slapped the young boy across the face.
"Leave him alone!" said Audrey in a terrified manner, "J-just let me and my kids go, please."
Victor snarled furiously before grabbing a chunk of Audrey's hair and pulling the brunette to her feet, he then tossed her to the floor. Audrey's eyes widened in fear as Victor approached her.
"That's enough out of you, lady!" barked Victor before giving Audrey a sharp kick to her side, "Anymore of your yapping, and I'll do something that will really, really hurt."
Tears welled up in Audrey's eyes as she whimpered in fear.
The door to the living quarters suddenly burst open. "NCIS!" yelled Tony as he, McGee and Ziva burst into the room, guns raised.
Victor suddenly ran towards the two children, grabbed Emma, wrapped one arm around her neck before putting a gun to the young girl's temple, ignoring the terrified whimpering.
"Oh God, don't hurt my daughter." begged Audrey, sobbing in fear.
"Let the girl go, Rodregez. Nobody needs to get hurt!" said Tony firmly as he and the others aimed their guns at Victor.
"I don't think so!" hissed Victor, "Her daddy tried interfering in my business. So, if you don't lower your weapons now, I'm gonna plaster the walls with his little girl's blood."
"Drop the weapon!" barked Ziva.
Rodregez clicked the safety off and gave everyone an evil grin. There was suddenly a loud bang, which caused Audrey and Emma to yelp. Victor suddenly dropped Emma and his gun before falling backwards; blood leaking from a wound in his forehead.
Emma and Tommy ran over to Audrey, who wrapped her arms around them in a tight embrace.
"Nice shot, Ziva." said McGee in awe.
"Thank you for rescuing us." replied Audrey shakily as she hugged all three agents.
"You're welcome." replied Tony.
The group then exited the living quarters.
