The third theory

"Inspector Gadget made his Gadgets himself"

Nothing always has to be what it seems, and for Inspector Gadget, this is doubly true. At first glance, a crazy detective who can't solve his cases is also a very smart and technically skilled man.

Ever since Gadget became a cyborg, he had to learn a lot of new things. He had to get used to the weight of his body, learn to use his telescopically improved arms and legs, sleep in a hat, wear gloves, learn to control his gadgets, but also, if necessary, be able to repair himself.

It was difficult to understand how all these things work. From an early age, Inspector Gadget did not understand physics and only knew the basics of mathematics. It was almost impossible for Professor Von Slickstein to explain it. Schemes full of equations and numbers seemed to him like a huge cipher he could never decipher. But in the end he succeeded.

Over time, Gadget was able to list almost all of its components and work with soldering iron or even a welder machine. Sometimes it was necessary. From time to time, some screws may loosen or some gadgets may wear out. It's very annoying, it needs to be fixed immediately. No matter how far away the help is, the main thing is to keep the gadgets fully functional and keep calm.

Today, Inspector Gadget is so skilled that he can make some gadgets on his own. He simply takes his favorite hat off his head and mounts other items in it. This usually results in a fully functional enhancement that is easy to use, but sometimes it also ends in fiasco. One learns by one's mistakes and this is how the Gadget Inspector learned to live with his gadgets.

Epilogue:

This is my favorite theory. It gives us details about Gadget's gadgets.

- It can be seen in the whole episode "Double Agent", where Inspector Gadget is hiding on his farm, while his robotic imitation repeatedly robs the Metrocity Bank.

When the Gadget arrives at his farm, he opens one of his bags. He pulls out an alarm clock, a spring and a ball and says "I have 24 hours to perfect my new gadget, infiltrate MAD and spoil their plans to kidnap the Shah." Oh my god. He really wants to make a new gadget. Then someone knocks on the front door and Inspector Gadget tries to hide. As if he didn't want anyone to see how his gadgets worked.

The next shot shows that he is obviously done with his work. He has an oil can on his right and uses his screwdriver. He says, "I am almoust finish with my latest gadget." In the end, we can even see how he tests it.

As soon as I noticed this little detail while watching the show, I had to think about it all the time. This thought fascinates me. I recommend watching the episode :)
