Setsuna

Setsuna and Feldt took a rest on a bench in the park, sitting hand-in-hand. The summer had arrived and the couple did not want to miss that. Looking at his girlfriend, Setsuna smiled seeing her relaxed look as she closed her eyes, enjoying the breeze. She then leaned her head on his shoulder. Setsuna kissed the top of her head, "Enjoying the summer?"

She blushed happily, "Yeah. It's my second favorite season."

Setsuna asked curiously, "What's your favorite?"

Feldt hummed, "Winter. I always loved playing in the snow, either with my parents or other kids who lived near the bases my parents were stationed."

The raven-haired man smiled at her, "I have to agree on winter being the best season. Especially around Christmas time." Feldt looked up at him curiously, silently asking him why. He let out a sigh before smiling again, "Graham is very big into the whole Christmas thing. You should see him. He's zooming all over the place like a kid."

Feldt laughed, "I can imagine that. I do have to say that the last Christmas was my favorite in a long time."

Setsuna nodded, "I would agree with that also."

Seven Months ago

Setsuna stood awkwardly in the apartment, nerves on edge as the evening set in. Feldt was coming to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day with him. Christina had said that she and Lichty were going to spend Christmas at her aunt's house and Saji was going to Japan to spend it with his sister. While normally he and Saji didn't do anything big, mostly make a big breakfast and trade a gift and Feldt had said she didn't want to do anything big, he still wanted to make this a good Christmas for her. He had cleaned up the apartment and had organized his room, wanting to look presentable to her. He simply wore a pair of jeans, t-shirt and unbuttoned button-down. She had approved of the look before, so he hoped she would like it now.

He also had a bit of an issue with buying Feldt a gift. He wanted something that she would enjoy and he had never really been a gift person. With the help of Christina and Sumeragi, he did get something. 'I hope she likes what I got her.' The medium sized box was put under the artificial mini tree sitting in the living room of the apartment.

He heard a knock at the door. 'I hope she likes it.' He moved to the door and saw Feldt standing there, a bag in her hand and what looked like a hockey bag. She wore a black jacket, yellow beanie, a pair of jeans and boots. 'The bag probably holds her stuff, but what is that sports bag?' She looked at him bashfully, "Can I come in? This bag is kind of heavy."

He stood to the side, getting out of the doorway, "Come in! Take your coat off and you can put your gift near the tree." He pointed to the mini tree in the corner of the room. She nodded and headed over there as she took off her coat, him closing the door behind her. Under her jacket, she wore a red and green sweater. Seeing her landing on the couch after putting her bag and hockey bag down, he walked over and joined her, bringing her into a kiss that she responded to happily. After breaking the kiss, he smiled at her, "I'm happy you are here with me."

She blushed and smiled warmly, "I'm happy to be here." She let out a sigh, "It's so strange to not be having Christmas with Chris. Normally I have it with her or spend it with Sumeragi. But both of them almost demanded I actually spend it with my boyfriend." She shook her head, smiling again, "Not that I'm complaining. It's just new to me."

Setsuna pulled her close, "Well it's new to me too, so you aren't alone." He kissed her neck, which caused her to giggle, "And you look pretty in that sweater."

Feldt blushed, looking down at her lap as her voice hitched, "Well…I…Oh!"

Setsuna grinned seeing her reaction, "You are too cute."

She rested her head against his chest and spoke quietly after several second, "You look handsome."

He rubbed her back, "And you look beautiful." She looked up at him warmly and they kissed again, both of them smiling. The two rested together for a while, just enjoying each other's presence. Setsuna then heard Feldt's stomach growl. He saw her embarrassed look and smirked, "Why don't we eat? I made some food for us."

She nodded at that and the two began to eat. Setsuna never claimed to be a particularly good cook, but Feldt seemed to enjoy it, so he took that as compliment. The two talked about Christmases growing up and a warm and friendly atmosphere set in, the light of lamps creating an inviting look. The two laughed and enjoyed the stories, Setsuna liking the stories she told about her parents. 'She really did have good parents.' As they finished up the food, the two found themselves back on the couch, her cuddling on top of him as he laid on the couch. She rested her arms on his chest, looking over at the tree then back into his eyes, "What did you get me?"

He smiled mischievously, "Feeling impatient?"

She responded with a similar look, "A little." Setsuna rolled his eyes and the pink-haired woman's look changed to a begging one, "Why don't we open them tonight? It's not like anyone will know."

He gave her an exasperated sigh, "You know we are supposed to…" He began to protest, but as he looked into her eyes, his willpower began to waver. 'God, I feel weak. Why do her eyes do that to me?' After several seconds, Setsuna's shoulder's slumped, "Why don't you open yours? I can wait till tomorrow."

Feldt smiled like an excited child at him and jumped off of him, grabbing the wrapped box with her name on it. Setsuna chuckled at her enthusiasm as he sat up on the couch. He was in no rush to open hers and he hoped she liked what he got her. As she tore back the paper, he could see her smile grow wider. He heard her let out a scream and suddenly he was back on his back, Feldt kissing all over his face, "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" On the table she was opening the box on was a mini haro robot. He had seen it when shopping and hadn't seen that she owned one,

He smiled warmly at her, "So I see you like it."

Feldt was practically vibrating, "Like it? I love it! It's so cute and I always wanted one of these!" She got up and opened the box, bringing out the spherical robot, presenting it in front of her, "It has voice recording and can say what you want it to! It even rolls around, like those cleaning robots!" She swung it around, almost dancing. She then put the haro down suddenly and began to kiss Setsuna, the world losing focus for both of them as they focused on each other.

Breaking the kissing after a few minutes, Setsuna laughed, loving seeing his girlfriend so happy, "Why don't we set it up?" Her eyes lit up and she began to pull out the various parts from the box. Setsuna blushed seeing her happiness. 'It seems I made the right choice.'

Feldt

Feldt smiled up at Setsuna, "Now if you would stop having it say memes while roaming around the house, that would be great."

Setsuna shrugged, "Then change it." Feldt glared at him slightly but returned back to smiling. He caressed her shoulder, "Thank you for the sword again. It's great."

Feldt looked down at her lap, embarrassed by the compliment, "I just knew you liked swords and you didn't have one so I thought I would get you one and-"

She was interrupted by Setsuna giving her a quick kiss, "You are cute when you ramble."

Feldt squirmed a bit, her cheeks bright red, "Well you're cute all the time." He blushed at that, causing her to smile triumphantly. She then took a breath, frowning slightly, "At least Christmas went more smoothly that our first valentine's day."

Setsuna rolled his eyes, "Feldt, it went great. You need to relax."

Five Months Ago

Feldt was internally panicking. Her Valentine's Day plan was falling apart in front of her. She had told Setsuna she wanted to plan this day and then she had dropped the ball. She had completely forgotten to get a reservation for a date till this morning and all the higher-class places were full up. Then she planned to make dinner to try to make up for this, knowing Christina and Lichty had actually gotten a reservation and her and Setsuna had her apartment free, but she had overcooked the chicken and the only good thing were the brownies she had made earlier and the side dishes.

Sitting on the couch, her head was in her hands, letting out an annoyed groan. 'After that Christmas, I owed it to Setsuna to make this good and yet here I am. He's gonna hate me.' She heard a knock on the door and realized she would have to face the music. Taking in a deep breath, she walked towards the door and opened it up, seeing her boyfriend waiting there with a heart shaped box. He looked at her, his cheeks red with embarrassment, "I got these for you."

She took the red box, bringing it to her chest, heart racing and face red, "Oh, thank you." She took an unsteady breath, "Come in?" Setsuna nodded and entered the apartment, taking off his jacket and hanging it up on Feldt's coat rack. Feldt steadied her breathing and opened the box in her hand and saw that a few of them were missing.

She looked at her boyfriend and asked curiously, "Did you eat a few of them?"

Setsuna blushed in embarrassment again, "Yeah. I was feeling nervous and accidentally grabbed a few." He rested a hand on his neck, "Sorry."

Feldt looked at him in relief, "Oh, I thought it was only me."

Setsuna looked at her, surprised, "You are nervous too?"

The pink-haired woman gave him a smile, but a frown began to creep in, "Yes."

The raven-haired man spotted her growing frown, walking up to her and grabbing her hand, "Feldt, what's wrong?"

Feldt pursed her lips, "I just wanted to have a good Valentine's Day and I feel like I'm messing it all up."

Setsuna looked at her with a small amount of shock, "What do you mean mess it up?"

Feldt looked into Setsuna's brown-red eyes, beginning to tear up a little, "I forgot to get a reservation to go out then I burned the food I was cooking. This is supposed to be a special night and I messed it up."

Setsuna chuckled, putting a hand on the side of Feldt's face, "Feldt, you know I don't care that much about fancy things. I am here to spend time with you. And if you messed up tonight, we can always do better next year or try another night for a special dinner."

She looked at him, happy but confused, "But it's Valentine's Day? It's supposed to be a special day for couples."

Setsuna pecked her on the lips, pulling her close, "Feldt, I never expected to really get a girlfriend. So just the fact I made it this far would make it perfect. Why don't we order a pizza and watch a sappy movie or something? I know you wanted to watch Summer Days."

Her eyes lit up at that, "I thought you said you didn't want to watch it?"

Setsuna nodded, "I did say that, but making you happy trumps that."

Feldt's smile grew as happy tears came to her eyes, "Yeah. Let's do that." She thought for a few seconds before a reminder popped into her head, "Oh! I also made brownies! We can have those as well!"

"Sounds great. Why don't you go setup the movie while I get the pizza. I'll pay for them." Feldt nodded and Setsuna then asked, "Meat lovers?"

Feldt gave him a thumbs up as she made her way to her room, looking for the movie. 'C'mon, I know it's in my pile somewhere.' After a few minutes of searching, she found it and made her way back to the living room. She heard Setsuna finishing up his call and she saw him look up at her from the couch, "Found it?"

"Yeah." They started the movie and she curled into his side, feeling like the luckiest girl in the world. 'This may not have been the plan, but I don't mind this either.' As the opening scene started, she looked up at Setsuna and kissed him.

He smiled at her, "What was that for?"

"For being there for me, silly." He pulled her into another kiss, which she happily got lost in. Neither of them noticed the movie continuing to play as the kissed, but that didn't bother the couple. After the makeout session ended, Feldt just laughed. 'Being with him beats all those years I was alone.'

Feldt

Setsuna smiled at his girlfriend, "If I remember right, we missed about half the movie making out."

Feldt smirked, "I didn't hear you complaining."

He smirked back, "Well, I remember you did. We had to watch it all again so you could actually see it."

Feldt pouted, "Well it was a good movie! And I also learned to plan better for Valentine's Day."

Setsuna kissed her on her forehead, "We'll see next year."
