Feldt

Feldt was finishing off working on Christina's hair. She had helped Christina out over the years, but never on such an important day like her best friend's wedding. It had been a long road for Lichty and Christina, and Feldt was ecstatic at seeing her friend so happy. Feldt could definitely tell that she was nervous. She laughed to herself, remembering Christina saying she would not be nervous and antsy at her own wedding, but here she was.

Christina pouted, mock-glaring at her friend, "What are you laughing about?"

Feldt smiled at her, "It's nothing. Just thinking about what Lichty will think when he sees you."

Christina maintained her pout, looking nervous, "I don't believe you." Her pout changed to a nervous smile, "Do you think he will like the dress? What if he doesn't like it?" Christina began to hyperventilate, balling up her fists.

Feldt replied quickly, trying to calm down Christina, "Chris, you look like a princess! And he will love you no matter what you wear! Just relax and let me do the finishing touches on your hair." She didn't want her friend to start crying, ruining her makeup.

Christina's breathing began to calm down, her breath coming at a steady pace. Her tone was grateful, "Thanks Feldt. I'm just so nervous and I don't want to mess this day up." She let out a deep breath, "I promised myself that I wouldn't be nervous at my own wedding and yet here I am. I must look ridiculous."

The pink-haired woman smiled warmly, "No, you don't. You are getting married to the love of your life. Most people would expect you to be nervous. They would only judge you if you ran. And do you plan to do that?"

The brown-haired woman shook her head, "No, I won't run. I would hate to disappoint everyone and myself."

Feldt finished up working on her hair, "That's good. Now stand up and take a look in the mirror." Christina stood up, moving towards the full body mirror in the dressing room. Christina stared in the mirror, marveling at her appearance. She wore a dress that resembled one like in a kids movie about a princess, hugging her figure in white, showing a bit of cleavage and highlighting her curves. Her makeup brought out her hazel eyes and Feldt could see the growing happiness in her eyes, "Chris, you look beautiful. You'll leave him speechless. Like you always said, you are the most beautiful woman in the world."

Feldt was then caught by surprised as Chris hugged her tightly, happy tears threatening to spill, "Thank you for being there for me! You are my best friend in the world!"

Feldt hugged her back, smiling happily, "Please don't cry! If you cry, then I'll cry and I don't think either of us want that." The embrace continued for a few more seconds, the room's atmosphere filling with happiness

Christina laughed as she broke the hug, "Yeah, you're right." Christina spoke nostalgically, "Look at us. Who would think we would make it this far? When we met were just insecure college girls and now I'm getting married and you are getting married in a few months."

Feldt nodded, "I thought you were the confident one at first, but the stuff with Lichty convinced me otherwise. Who would have thought such a confident woman would have such an issue telling the boy she liked her feelings?"

Christina smiled, "And now I'm marrying him. God, I'm actually getting married. I didn't think it would take so long to hit me." Her smiled turned to a smirk after she paused for a second, "And who are you saying about issues telling the boy they like about their feelings? You had a crush on Setsuna for at least a month before you even met him in person. If I hadn't told you to just go out and take the risk, you would be complaining about missing out on meeting the love of your life!

Feldt blushed in embarrassment, "Well I hadn't done it before, of course I was nervous. But thank you for that. I don't think I would be as happy without him."

Christina grinned at her, "No problem. What is a best friend for? But at your wedding, I will embarrass you in my speech. That is the cost of helping you two get together."

Feldt tilted her head, "But he asked me out. You aren't the reason."

Christina waved her hand and Feldt, "That's just nitpicking. You owe me and that's the cost."

Feldt laughed, smiling, "Fine, fine. You better not corrupt Setsuna and I's kids. I don't need them being a troublemaker like you."

Christina grinned, "I promise I will try my best. But I won't promise to not spoil my future nieces and nephews!"

Feldt groaned at that but gave her friend a happy smile. 'I hope it's not too bad with her as a godmother.'

Setsuna

Setsuna sat at the bride and groom's table, smiling happily. The venue was outdoors in a garden that was popular in the city for events. The ceremony had gone well and everyone seemed to be enjoying the beginning of the reception. While he wouldn't say the Christina was the most beautiful woman he'd seen, as that belonged to Feldt, he would say she was definitely up there; He swore he saw her leave Lichty breathless. Not that he blamed him. Seeing Feldt in her sky-blue bridesmaid dress tempted him to take her to a private area of the venue, but he knew she would complain, even if she enjoyed it. 'I'll just have to wait till we get home.'

He did find it surprising that he had been invited to the bride and grooms table, seeing as he was just a guest, but Christina had said she wouldn't separate him from Feldt. He was joined by Feldt, an older woman who looked kind of like the bride and a few of the groomsman and bridesmaids. It was certainly a larger wedding, Setsuna not realizing how many friends Christina had extended her web to. 'It feels like when everyone was in the hanger on base.'

Setsuna then saw Christina stand up and knock on her glass, the chatter in the room going silent, "Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying it so far!" The crowd gave a cheer of agreement, and Christina continued, "Before we start the meal, the maid of honor and best man have a speech to give. And I think Feldt would love to start!" She handed the mic to Feldt and sat back down. His fiancé looked at Setsuna nervously before standing up clearing her throat.

Feldt smiled out at the crowd, Setsuna noticing how well she hid her nervousness, "Well I had notes of a speech prepared, but I forgot them, so I guess I'll have to try my best!" She chuckled and continued as the crowd laughed, "I met Christina in college after she took it on herself to help out a new freshman. Little did I know that she would become my best friend. She helped turn me into the woman I am today, with some help from my fiancé."

Christina gave her a thumbs up, smiling. Setsuna just rolled his eyes playfully, knowing this would just feed Christina's ego. Feldt gave him a warm smile, silently telling him how much she appreciated him. She continued, "When I saw Christina and Lichty interact for the first time, I knew they were meant to be. They both clearly cared for each other and always had each other's backs. It certainly took them awhile to figure that out."

Feldt scanned the room, pausing for a second, "By a while I mean at least four years of not noticing the other liked each other." The room laughed and Setsuna saw Lichty and Christina blush in embarrassment. The older woman at the table poked Christina's side, saying something Setsuna didn't hear.

Christina mock glared at Feldt, mumbling, "I'll get you for that." Lichty gave Christina a quick kiss, looking at her lovingly, which she responded to evenly.

Feldt just grinned, whispering, "You don't think I expect that?" Christina pouted before chuckling to herself as Feldt went back to her speech, her tone softening, "Beyond them both being stubborn, they are two kindhearted people who found each other and I am so happy that they did find each other. They are two parts of a whole."

Feldt looked happily at Christina, "I hope the best for your future and remember I will always be there for you. Especially because you did promise me to be the godmother of your first kid. Now I think it's Lasse's turn." As Feldt handed the mic over to Lasse and sit back down, Setsuna saw that Christina was struggling to hold back happy tears and Lichty was holding her hand under the table.

Setsuna touched Feldt's shoulder, giving her a loving smile, "You did great up there. I can't believe the girl that was embarrassed to talk to me when we first met could give a wedding speech."

Feldt blushed prettily, "I should thank you for that." She leaned closer to him, whispering, "Don't tell Christina, but she was a bit pushy."

Setsuna quietly chuckled, "Don't worry, I won't. Looking at this wedding, I'm happy we won't have nearly as many guests as this."

Feldt nodded, "I don't think either of us know this many people. Both of our families are a bit…eccentric and we aren't exactly social butterflies."

Setsuna sighed, "Yeah, that certainly is true. But I can't wait to see you in your wedding dress. If you look good in this dress, then that one will be even more breathtaking."

Feldt smirked as she blushed, "I would hope I took your breath away, otherwise there might be issues." She gave him a coy smile before turning her attention to Lasse, who was seemingly nearly done with his speech. Setsuna looked at Lasse in surprise. 'I guess he kept it short.' Looking around, his eyes focused on the dance floor. 'I hope the secret dance lessons will catch Feldt by surprise.'
