Later in the evening, 666 News reported on the whole ordeal, including an aerial shot of the destroyed properties and the negative energy symbol on the billboard.
Vaggie was watching the news, concerned about the matter when Charlie approached her.
"Vaggie, have you seen Al? I can't find him anywhere" Charlie asked.
"Oh, he said he was going to see that friend of his" she replied.
"Oh boy" said Charlie as she facepalmed.
"I did the same thing when left" Vaggie replied.
The news then showed a shot of an alleyway filled with dead exterminators, all slashed and bloodied and their weapons nowhere to be found to both Charlie and Vaggie's horror.
"Wow, just...wow" Vaggie muttered.
"Who is this guy" Charlie asked.
"No clue. But one thing's for sure, he's not good news" Vaggie replied.
"You can say that again" said Charlie.
Meanwhile Alastor was with Nightfright and they both had coffee together. Everyone else around them utterly terrified.
"My pets are just the perfect killers and destroyers…are they not" Nightfright asked.
"Indeed they are my friend. I don't think I've ever seen anything cause that much destruction before" said Alastor.
"I've done such a good job that the producers at 666 news reached out to me about the ordeal and want me to come over for an interview live on TV" said Nightfright.
"Really now? That sounds...delightful. Just be careful my friend, you know what THAT news station is like" said Alastor.
"Fear not, I've always got a backup plan for everything remember" Nightfright replied.
"Is that so? Do tell, what your backup plan" Alastor asked, curious.
"Oh, you'll see" Nightfright replied, grinning.
"Oh, this should be entertaining to watch" said Alastor.
Later when Alastor got back to the hotel, Charlie confronted him.
"Al, where were you" she asked him.
"Oh, just off to see a friend" he replied.
"The same friend with Negative Energy magic" she asked him.
"Oh yes" he replied.
Charlie just sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Don't worry my dear once you get to know him, he's not all bad" said Alastor.
"Yeah…sure" Charlie replied, not sure about that.
The next night, everyone in the hotel was relaxing when 666 news goes live.
"Hi and welcome to 666 news. I am your anchor Katie Killjoy and here with me is my co-anchor Tom Trench".
Tom is hiding behind his chair and shaking scared, Katie giving him a disapproving glare.
"Ugh, turn it off Al" said Charlie.
"No...unfortunately, not this one my dear, you'll see why in a minute" he replied, getting everyone's curiosity.
"Anyways...tonight we have a very special guest with us, give it up for the newest overlord in the pentagram, Nightfright, the Nightmare Demon" she said.
"Thank you Katie. It's a pleasure being here" he replied with a smile, to the shock of everyone in the Hotel except for Alastor.
Tom still shaking scared, pointed behind Nightfright and asked "Does...does it bite".
The camera turned towards the nightmare sabretooth tiger sitting behind Nightfright.
"Only when I want it to" he replied.
"Anyways…after your little territorial destruction yesterday, you've earned quite the...infamous reputation in the Pride Ring. How do you…feel about that" Katie asked, nervous sitting right next to him.
"Great, never better actually" he replied.
"Oh? And why's that" she asked him.
"Well Katie, I've learned in my life as a human that many are intimidated by the amount of power one person can have and it scares them, scares them even more if that person turns out to be ruthless and bad. And after what happened yesterday, I think everyone in the Pride Ring got the message of who I am and what I'm capable off" he replied.
"Yes…we certainly have" said Tom as he slowly got back on his chair, still nervous and scared.
Katie grabbed him by the collar and gave him a glare.
"Shut it Tom" she whispered to him.
She let him go and quickly turned back to Nightfright with a nervous smile.
"Is there…anything you'd like to say to the viewers at home" Katie asked him.
"Yes, quite a few things actually" he replied as he sat up and the camera turned towards him.
"First of all, I'd like to thank a friend of mine for getting me back on my feet and taking me under his wing. I very much appreciate it" said Nightfright.
The others glanced at Alastor and he glanced at them with a smile before they all turned back to the TV.
"And second, to those of you who aren't intimidated or scared of me and saying I'm not tough...you should be scared. Make me angry and I'll give you a fate that's far worse than death, believe me" he said, his eyes emitting the negative grayish red aura.
"Is...is that all" Tom asked.
"Yes. That is all" Nightfright replied as he sat back down.
"Well…that's all the time we have for today folks. This has been 666 news, I'm Katie Killjoy".
"And I'm Tom Trench" said Tom, nervous and clearly frightened.
"Thank you for being here with us Nightfright" said Katie.
"Thank you Katie, Tom, it's been a pleasure being here" he replied with a smile.
"And until next time everyone, this is 666 news signing off" and with that the news ends.
"Well, that was something" said Alastor.
"He certainly doesn't seem evil" said Charlie.
"Oh he isn't evil my dear, he's just vengeful. VERY vengeful" Alastor replied.
"So don't piss him off. Got it" said Charlie.
They all just shrugged and got back to relaxing.
Meanwhile...
"signing off"
Katie and Tom both sighed as the camera turned off. Tom took off as Katie looked at Nightfright.
"Seriously, out of all the Overlords in Pride Ring, you and the radio demon tie for creepiest" she said.
"Nah, he holds that title by a mile. I can be scary sure, but not like him" Nightfright replied.
"Sure...where'd you even learn to control your abilities anyway" Katie asked him.
"Oh, he taught me, the Radio Demon and I are quite good friends" Nightfright replied.
Katie and everyone else in the room froze.
"Well...it's been fun, but I have to get going now, farewell. Come my pet" he said as the nightmare sabretooth got up and walked out with him.
FLASHBACK
One month before the extermination Nightfright made his way to the building of the Triple V Gang. The guards on duty stopped him and their leader asked him "State your business here".
Four of his sabretooths came out from behind him and the guards got defensive and started shaking.
"I'm here to see the Triple V Gang" said Nightfright.
"What for" the guards leader asked, shaking out of fear.
"For this" Nightfright replied as he showed them the negative energy symbol on his hand.
The guards were dumbfounded and shocked but they quickly agreed.
"Oh...of course sir, go right ahead sir" the guards leader replied as he & his men opened the gates and moved to the side, scared.
Nightfright crawled in with his tentacles, his tigers following him. He got to the door, absorbed the sabretooths, retracted his tentacles and rang the doorbell.
"Can we help you" Velvet asked.
He grinned at the doorbell camera then showed the symbol on his hand. After a minute and unlocking multiple locks, the doors opened with the entire gang answering, dumbfounded.
"Is...is that real" Vox asked.
"Yes. Yes it is. Scouts honor" Nightfright replied, grinning as his eyes and hand emitted the negative aura.
The gang looked around to make sure nobody else is looking.
"Come in, come in" said Vox.
He got inside as they closed the door. Nightfright looked around and saw the beautiful and...graphic décor of the place.
"Nice place you three have, very...unique" said Nightfright.
"So...you have..." Velvet got cut off.
"Negative Energy magic? Yes I do. Nightfright is the name...and making your nightmares come to life is my game" Nightfright replied.
"Is that so" Vox asked.
"Yes. Who'd like a demonstration" Nightfright asked.
He quickly spawned one of his sabretooths into the room to the gang's shock. The three of them looked a little spooked as the nightmare sabretooth walked around it's master.
"Impressive...very impressive" said Valentino.
"Thank you" said Nightfright petting his creation.
"Judging by the look…based off a Sabretooth Tiger" Velvet asked.
"Yes. And besides Negative Energy magic, I've got…another trick up my sleeve" said Nightfright.
"Like what" Vox asked.
He smiled as the four tentacles came out from his back and elevated him off the floor to their shock.
"Nobody important in the Pentagram knows about me or my...gift, well...not yet anyway. After the extermination though...I'll put on a little show and they'll all know who I am. I'm going to have my pets destroy every uninhabited property in sight, then slowly reveal myself to the unsuspecting denizens of Pentagram City" said Nightfright.
"Great plan, except Sir Pentious is definitely gonna be a problem with that" said Velvet.
Nightfright just laughed and said "That snake? Ha, he can try. I'll have his warship turned into a smoking ruin if he does".
Vox smiled and said "Then good luck to you Nightfright, we'll be watching".
"Good...you 3 will get a sense of scale of just how much I know about my abilities and how strong I really am. Keep an eye out for the show...It'll be a blast" Nightfright replied as he, Vox, Velvet and Valentino all laughed maniacally.
