Sir Pentious tried to slash and stab him with his spear but Nightfright dodged it and started slashing with his blade. Their weapons clashed several times before Nightfright managed to cut the blessed spear in two, then kicking Sir Pentious to the ground and pointing his blade against his face.
"It's over, you've lost" said Nightfright.
"Fine, but mark my wordsss, this isn't the last you'll see of me Nightfright" said Sir Pentious.
One of Nightfright's tentacles grabbed Sir Pentious by the throat, lifting him off the ground.
"Actually, it is. Consider this your first and final warning Sir Pentious…leave me alone and stay out of my way" he said.
"And what if I don't" Sir Pentious asked.
Nightfright's eyes began glowing red as he placed his blade against Sir Pentious' neck.
"Then the next time I see you, your severed head is going to be rolling down the street. Are we clear" Nightfright replied in a demonic voice.
"Yesss sir" Sir Pentious replied, terrified.
"Good, now...take a powder" said Nightfright.
He pulled him away and sprayed red gas in his face from his left hand, Sir Pentious starting to cough as Nightfright had a wicked grin on his face.
"Have fun chasing pink elephants" said Nightfright.
He then leaned back and threw Sir Pentious really far away, landing him in a dumpster with a thud and the lid closing on him.
"All of you get behind me, now" said Alastor.
All of them did so, not knowing what he was about to do. He then loudly whistled and Nightfright looked over and was surprised to see the Hotel not too far away. His tentacles disappeared into his back and his wings popped out as he flew up to the balcony.
"You" Vaggie growled.
"What is the meaning of this Nightfright" Charlie asked, visibly angry.
"What? Sir Pentious and me fighting or the Diabolus Rex" Nightfright asked.
"Is that what you call that abomination" Vaggie asked.
"You say abomination, I say one of my crowning achievements" Nightfright replied.
"Who even authorized you to create something that big" Charlie asked him.
"I'm sorry, is there a permit for that? Cause I don't remember there being one" Nightfright replied.
"Nightfright if my dad finds out what you've done…" he cut Charlie off.
"Oh Lucifer knows about all this" said Nightfright.
They were shocked.
"What" Charlie asked, confused.
"Yeah, your dad already knows about this. Do you really think I'd create and unleash something like that without the king of hell knowing? What do you think I am? A Moron" he asked.
"No, of course not" said Alastor.
"Thank you. Anyways…yeah, I told him the ideas I had for living nightmares that could…kill and destroy with ease. After which he gave me the thumbs up and told me I can go ahead" said Nightfright.
"When did you even meet him" Husker asked.
"Right after my career as an Overlord started. Knowing what I had, I knew he wouldn't ignore the news of someone like me showing up…and I was right. Within the first week of my new career he contacted me, told me to come over to his mansion for a meeting, if you will. After that...we became friends" said Nightfright.
A small tear went down Charlie's face.
"I'd love to stay and continue this little chat, really I would, but I have somewhere to be unfortunately. So until next time...goodbye" he said.
He quickly took off, flying away behind the nearby buildings. Charlie turned around and went back inside the hotel, Vaggie glared at Nightfright one last time before she walked inside to be with Charlie while Niffty, Alastor and Husker just stood there, watching.
During the flight back to his Penthouse, Nightfright got a call from Scarlett.
"Hey honey, I know I'm late I'll explain everything when I get there" he said.
"Yeah your late, what happened? Where are you right now" she asked him.
"I'll explain everything when I get home, almost there" he replied.
"OK, I'm here on the balcony waiting" said Scarlett.
He hung up, quickly picked up the pace and flew faster.
Meanwhile Angel Dust just got back to the Hotel. He walked inside and Vaggie walked up to him.
"Where were you" she asked him.
"Hanging out with Cherri" Angel Dust replied.
"Did you catch the show Nightfright put on for everyone" Husker asked.
"Yeah, Cherri and I even came face to face with him" Angel Dust replied.
"Really, what happened" Niffty asked.
"Well we came across him, Cherri got sick of him having all the fun and told him to ease up and let her have some fun. He basically said he was done with that and today was the last time" said Angel Dust.
"The Last Time? Ha, I'll believe it when I see it" said Vaggie.
"We saw him too and he even dropped by for a quick chat before heading off" said Alastor.
"Wait, really? And…where's Charlie" Angel Dust asked.
"In her room, she's been there ever since what Nightfright told us" said Nifty.
"And what did he say" Angel Dust asked.
"That not only did her dad know about the monster Nightfright unleashed and the destruction it caused but that him and Nightfright are friends" shouted Vaggie.
"Seriously" Angel Dust asked.
"Yeah, Charlie's been in her room ever since. She couldn't believe that her dad was friends with him and just allowed him to do all that" said Niffty.
"Well, the more you think about it really, it is kind of fun to destroy things" said Alastor.
Vaggie glared at him and growled "Al, you're not helping".
Meanwhile Nightfright got back and him and Scarlett began to celebrate with a candle lit dinner as he explained what happened.
"Then I tossed him away like a baseball" he said.
"Wow, that was a close call honey" she replied.
"Don't worry, I'm fine and without a scratch. And don't worry about him trying to find me, I made my point across with him" he said.
"OK...alright then, great work tiger" she said.
"What matters is we've done it. We've managed to create the perfect living nightmare/weapon" he replied.
He poured wine for the both of them and they toasted.
"We did it honey…and no one can take this away from us" he said.
"True to that" she replied with a smile.
"Now that everything is all taken care of, what do you say we focus on…us" he said.
"What do you mean by that" she asked.
"Simple, we go out and have some fun" he said.
"That'll be a little hard honey, considering your status" she replied.
"No not here in hell. I mean in the human world, we disguise ourselves in our human forms and go out on Earth for nights out" said Nightfright.
"Now that is an idea I'm all for, 100 percent" she replied.
They toasted and laughed to the day's work as 666 news reported about the day's event, Charlie seeing it and continuing to frown, unable to believe that Nightfright and her dad were friends. A few seconds later Vaggie came in her room to comfort her.
"You OK" she asked.
"I feel a little better now, yeah" Charlie replied with a slight smile.
Vaggie smiled back and said "Glad to hear".
She saw the TV was on and turned it off.
"How about tomorrow we go talk to your mom about all this. Try to get some answers" Vaggie asked.
"That…sounds like a plan" Charlie replied.
"Great, come on. Let's go down stairs" said Vaggie.
"Alright" Charlie replied as she sat up.
They both walked out of the room and headed downstairs.
