Chapter 8: Blitzo's Regret

The toy store was a mess. For sure, the owner was going to be pissed.

"Blitzo? Blitzo!" Moxxie and Millie cried as they, Loona, and Riva tried to find Blitzo.

Just then, they heard a baby doll repeatedly crying out a mantra, "Mama!" They looked for Blitzo behind some toys to see where the noise was coming from to see Blitzo dangling on the toy's string, grunting.

"Blitzo, Octavia! Curly!" Moxxie cried to get Blitzo's attention, "Octavia, Curly they're...they're…"

"Yes! They're gone, Moxxie!" Blitzo interrupted with annoyance as he continued accidentally pulling the string. "Dammit! I told you to watch over the kids!"

Just then, he landed with a thud. "Now, they've been spirited away by a maniacal little monster!" Blitzo snapped with his foul temper and Millie comforted Moxxie, who cringed at his partner's harsh attitude. "Soon to be in the clutches of the most depraved mind in all of Hell! I should've known better than to-"

Riva, fed up with his stupid ranting, slapped him, making him stop and he pressed his palm to his cheek. "Blitzo, just shut the fuck up! Yelling at him for this won't solve anything! I, too, should've watched them, not just them! Blaming us for this isn't going to help Curly and Octavia!"

"Blitzo, that's no way to talk to Moxxie!" Millie scolded.

"What the hell, Blitzo?!" Loona demanded, "We were just trying to help you and you don't appreciate it?"

"Loony, I-" Blitzo tried to say.

"Forget it, Blitzo!" Loona cut him off and looked away from him, "Sorry doesn't cut it! You lashing out like that can't easily be fixed with sorry! I'm going to find my brother and his crush by myself!"

When Blitzo wasn't looking, Loona exited the toy shop.

Blitzo thought about what Riva, Loona, and Millie said. Seeing Moxxie down, for his failure to watch over Octavia and Curly, made Blitzo feel guilt-ridden because Blitzo got distracted.

"Moxxie," Blitzo said gently and stepped over to him. "I say, Moxxie, old chap?" He grinned.

"Oh, poor kids," Moxxie sobbed. "I should've watched over them more closely." He sniffed.

Blitzo continued apologizing to his partner. "Don't worry, old fellow. It's not entirely hopeless." Blitzo smiled shyly again, but it wasn't enough for Moxxie, so he put his hand on the little imp's shoulder. "We'll get them back."

Moxxie got out of his somber state and looked at him, feeling a little better. "Do you think there's a chance?"

"There's always a chance, Mox," Blitzo assured as he lit a match on the toy jester's nose and set a flame in his pipe. "As long as one can think." He smoked his pipe as he paced around, thinking.

At that moment, Moxxie remembered something and grabbed the list out of his pocket. "Get the following…" he read, "Tools...Gears...Girl...Unifor-"

Blitzo muttered and snatched the list from his partner. "Moxxie, you've DONE it!" he shouted with glee, "This list is precisely what we need!" He rushed towards the window.

Moxxie turned to see his companion leaving the shop. "What?"

"Quickly, back to my apartment!" Blitzo stepped on a toy duck and remembered the girls, who chewed him out. "You hear that, Loony Toony? We're going back to my apartment and- What the fuck?" He turned to Spindle, realizing his adopted daughter was no longer with him and his crew. "Spindle, did she leave?"

Spindle glared at him.

Blitzo groaned. This was all his fault! If he wasn't such a hardass, Loona wouldn't have run away.

"She what-" Moxxie began in a stunned tone, but then turned angry at him. "That's because you pissed her off, making her go find the Goetia's daughter and your son on her own!"

"I know," Blitzo said, feeling ashamed. "I have no excuse."

"And our daughter was right, Blitzo," Riva reprimanded as she crossed her arms, "You lashing out like you did a minute ago can't easily be fixed with sorry. She's probably trying to get our son and Octavia back."

Spindle, who was on Moxxie's side for once, snorted furiously at Blitzo, making him cringe.

"You're right, guys. I've been really hard on all of you, especially our kids and Stolas' daughter."

"No shit, Blitzo," Millie said, giving him a stern look.

"Once you find them, I suggest you apologize to them," Riva added.

"My thoughts exactly," said Moxxie, still just as mad as they were.

Blitzo sighed in defeat, knowing they were right. "Alrighty, let's head back to the apartment, so we can relocate our son and Stolas' kid." He, Riva, Moxxie, and Millie climbed onto Spindle and Blitzo let out a "sic 'em", making his horse run to his home.
