Greetings fellow readers, it's ya boi sorry for taking long again! Just giving you another chapter in the fanfic that is Doctor who: beneath the mask of the raggedy man. I really do hope that you guys enjoy this fanfic and support me on my way of creating this, please comment if you'd like to give me any suggestions on how to shape up the story well, or to just help me fix any mistakes that I could've made. Anyways, that's all I had to say folks, enjoy!

Chapter 4, new teacher on the block:

A day later the doctor would be walking to a class he was going to be teaching today, the day before when Ms. Chouno showed him to the principal's office which was only a couple doors away, he felt like more of an idiot than before and face palmed himself. But this wasn't anything too major, he thanked Ms. Chouno and went inside the office to have a conversation with the principal about having the doctor as a teacher in school, after a good long talk and some requirements filled the big and bald headed principal was satisfied and said to the doctor that he could start work the next day.

but before he did so he would introduce himself as the new teacher to the other teachers, he of course introduced himself to Ms. Chouno properly and did the same with others like Mr. Inui and Ushimaru but the doctor was unable to introduce himself to the woman in the yellow shirt, who was probably a teacher at the academy as well. In the present day the doctor would have a smile and was wearing a fez, he thought that it was still cool and that the student's would like the fez while he was teaching them, he then entered the class and saw that the student's that he would be teaching today looking pretty bored… maybe he could freshen things up bit. With how he taught the class in his weird and wacky way, it was quite refreshing compared to how some of the teachers would be strict on how they teach a class.

The doctor was also happy to see that the students were enjoying his teachings and hoped that this would help them a lot, but as soon as he was done teaching the class the bell would ring and it was the end of the day, for him this would be a good opportunity to try and find that trickster or at least figure out how they tie into things. Maybe they have something to do with that other dimension that he visited yesterday, but he'll have to investigate further as he has no evidence on who this trickster is and needed to pay close attention, but really he hoped it wouldn't take too long to find them and help them.

He then left class and went around the school to check for any suspicious activity going on, In the school it was only students doing regular things and getting ready to go home, some of them seemed to be really sad looking like they didn't want to be here anymore, but nothing supernatural or timey wimey going on. It was only when he was finally done the search and was just leaving the school when he saw Akira get talked to by Ryuji, when he would try to eavesdrop on the conversation from afar but wasn't close enough to hear anything. But from the looks of it Ryuji had taken Akira's phone and was examining it, seemingly excited about what he found, then Ryuji started to enter something on the phone… This was definitely a little strange, But not as strange as when the two students disappeared into thin air like it was nothing!

The doctor would then have a worried look on his face and rushed over to where Ryuji and Akira were and pulled out his sonic screwdriver, scanning the area and checking to see if there was anything dangerous that could've caused them to disappear… nothing in the area. So something made them disappear and came with them to that other dimension, but what could it be? Well, he'd have to figure it out later, right now he had to go back to his TARDIS and rest for the day, but as soon as he went into the direction his TARDIS was he would bump into someone… And that someone seemed to be that woman he met a while ago in that yellow shirt. The woman would recognize him and say to the doctor in an apologetic tone "gosh, i'm so sorry about that sir! Are you ok?" the doctor would react quickly, saying very fast to her with a bit of a "hiding something" face "I'm fine, absolutely nothing strange is going on, you don't have to worry at all!" The woman in the yellow shirt would laugh a bit from the doctor's strange behaviour, though honestly she thought he was strange before when she met him, she would then say to him with a smile "you really are strange, aren't you?"

as the woman would think to herself about why he was acting strange, she remembered that she forgot to introduce herself when the doctor became a teacher and said to the doctor "oh, where are my manners, you introduced yourself to the other teachers yet you weren't able to with me. I'm sadayo kawakami!" the doctor smiled and said to Kawakami "I'm the doctor, it's a pleasure to finally know your name Ms. Kawakami. Say, could I ask you a couple of questions?" Kawakami wanted to ask why he was called the doctor, but she figured it was best to leave that question be, she would shrug and say to the doctor "Sure thing, what are you curious about?" the doctor would immediately ask Kawakami with a hint of worry "have there been any strange things happening recently? I feel as though things are not as they seem." Kawakami would raise an eyebrow to what the doctor was talking about, what did he mean by strange? In any case, she couldn't think of anything like that recently, except for when one of her students mentioned something about a castle… what was his name, Akira? He was the one with the criminal record, If she remembered correctly. She would then say to the doctor "no, not really. But now that you mention it, one of my students, Akira, mentioned something about a castle and seemed to not feel well. it was indefinitely strange, though I wouldn't say it's exactly a surprise with a student like him."

the doctor would be interested in how kawakami worded that, "with a student like him.", what did she mean by that? The doctor would then ask Kawakami "what do you mean by that? Is there something Akira did?" Kawakami would sigh, this doctor guy was definitely one of the curious ones wasn't he? Well, it's sort've surprising that he hadn't heard the rumors about him, she would then respond to the doctor saying "didn't you hear from the students? He has a criminal record, he was charged with assault and he was sent here for his probation, wouldn't surprise me if he was just trying to fake being sick or something and get out of school." the doctor thought "seriously? Assault? When I met the student he didn't seem like that sort've guy, sure he defended himself in the castle but..." this seemed a bit off to the doctor, when he looked at people he could tell what kind of person they are, it's just the way the doctor was since he had lived for so long… and Akira didn't seem to be the kind of person to assault someone for something dumb. He thought that he should ask Akira about the situation if he was still ok, but that would mean he had to know where he lived, and so he would ask Kawakami "so where does Akira live exactly? If he has a criminal record, not many people would want to take him in, right?" and so, he would get the information on where Akira lived, which was at a coffee shop in Yongen-Jaya and the doctor thanked Kawakami for the info, he turned around and was about to leave for Yogen… but then he remembered that he needed to get a map first before he did anything. So he turned back around and asked Kawakami for a map of Tokyo, this was gonna be a long day…

After hours of trying to get to Yongen-jaya through the busy traffic and subway, the doctor would finally arrive in the area and see the coffee shop that Kawakami was talking about, it was called leblanc and it seemed really nice to the doctor. The doctor would enter and see what seemed to be the owner of the store at the counter who sported a goatee and had slicked back hair while he was also wearing an apron and some casual clothes, seemingly waiting for customers to serve them, the owner would smile and say to the doctor "hey, welcome to cafe leblanc, what can I get you? A coffee? Maybe some curry?" the doctor would smile, the owner seemed to be a nice guy, the doctor would then say to the owner "whatever you recommend sir!"

the owner would say to the doctor "sure thing and please, you don't have to call me sir, the name is sojiro." the doctor would then sit right on one of the seats at the counter and said to sojiro "well sojiro, it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm gonna be here for a while, if you don't mind." sojiro would nod and say to the doctor "as long as you pay for what you get and don't cause trouble, I don't mind." Sojiro would proceed to try and surprise the doctor with a nice cup of coffee, he would do everything he could to make the coffee the best it could be, from the decorative parts to the little things to create the Jamaican blue mountain coffee.

Sojiro was finally finished with the coffee and gave it to the doctor, saying to him "enjoy, hope you like it." the doctor would simply thank sojiro and take a sip of the coffee Sojiro gave him, he tasted everything in it and recognized the type of coffee it was and said aloud "mmm, Jamaican blue mountain, good choice!" Sojiro would be a little surprised that the doctor would immediately recognize the taste... maybe he had experiance with tasting coffee, but that thought subsided as he simply nodded to him and started cleaning some of the dirty cups, with the doctor spending a while there and waiting for Akira. After it became evening, the chime of leblanc's bell rang as the door of the cafe was opened, and the person who entered would be Akira… finally the doctor got a chance to have a talk with Akira again, and so he stood up, smiling endearingly and said to Akira "Hello again! Glad to see you came, sorry about the sudden visit, but we need to have a talk."

So finally the doctor will be able to have a talk with Akira about his past, maybe this will lead him more into finding out who the trickster is, or maybe it will lead to nothing at all.. Only time will tell in this maddening game of tricksters and shadows. See you in the next chapter!
