"This is bad."

"Very bad." Ethan agreed. "Worse than crashing after getting to level nine in SNSW and then your computer crashing, and you have to start all over again."

Anabel shared a look with Kira and then cocked her head to the side as she turned to Ethan. "In English?" she asked.

"Super Ninja Space Wars," Ethan explained.

"Oh. Okay."

"I think we all need to calm down," said Conner. "I mean, don't you think we're getting a little too freaked out about this? Dr O is a teacher, after all. Maybe he just went away for the weekend? You know, on a teacher's retreat, or something."

"Without telling us?" Kira asked.

Conner shrugged.

"Am I the only one curious that we haven't heard from Mesogog in the time Doctor Oliver's been missing?" Anabel asked.

"You think it's related?" Ethan asked.

Anabel shrugged. "I think it's too much of a coincidence to not be related," she said. "Besides, Kira's right. Doctor Oliver wouldn't have just taken off without telling us, and even if he did go away for the weekend, it's now Monday, he would've been back in time for school if it were some sort of teacher's retreat."

Kira nodded. Thankful that someone, other than her, seemed to be taking the disappearance of their science teacher seriously.

"Well, what do we do?" Conner asked.

"There is only one thing we can do," said Ethan, brushing past the others and taking a seat in front of the computers.

"What are you doing?" Anabel asked, joining him.

"Checking to see what the good teacher has been up to," said Ethan, potching around with the keypad.

The others shared a look behind his back.

"I'm in," Ethan announced.

The trio looked at the screens, stunned to see a video image of Dr. Oliver getting himself comfortable in the very same seat that Ethan was sitting in now.

"My name is Doctor Tommy Oliver, if you're not me then something is seriously wrong. This video is a diary. It is a confidential record that I have been asked to put together in the case of an emergency. What you're about to see is the History of our world, and my life."

"More dinosaur bones stories, yawn," said Conner.

"What does he mean 'History of our World'?" Ethan asked, glancing at Anabel.

"My life as, not only a Power Ranger, but a Mystic Defender."

Ethan quickly paused the video and looked up at his friends. "Did he just say -" he cut off.

"Power Ranger," Kira answered, nodding.

"He also said Mystic Defender," said Conner. "What does that mean?"

Anabel looked down at her phone. "I think he's talking about Briarwood," she said. "You remember what happened there almost four years ago? The Mystic Force. We all knew there was something strange about the woods surrounding Briarwood, and then the Mystic Force happened and revealed to the world what we all suspected - a Magical world within the boundaries of ours."

"Yeah, I remember reading about it online," said Ethan.

"We were Freshman, then," said Kira. "I remember my parents forbid me from asking questions on it."

Conner nodded. "Yeah, me and Eric wanted to go there and see it, but mum and dad wouldn't let us. Kept saying that they didn't care what the citizens of Briarwood said, the woods were a dangerous place and that we were never to set foot in there, much less befriend anyone that came from there."

"Yeah. But your parents have always been a little judgemental," said Anabel. She nudged Ethan and nodded at the computer. "Keep going."

Ethan nodded and pressed play.

"My story starts in Angel Grove," the video continued. "Where six teenagers with attitude were recruited to fight the sorceress, Rita Repulsa. They harnessed the power of the dinosaur to become the Earth's first Power Rangers. Under the guidance of intergalactic being Zordon - Trini, Zack, Kimberley, Billy, Blu, and Jason bravely defended the Earth which forced Rita to create her own Ranger."

"Hey, I know her!" said Anabel, pausing the video on the Pink Ranger. "Her name's Kimberley Hart. She's a gymnastic champion."

Kira and Ethan quirked an eyebrow at Anabel.

"What?" Anabel asked. "She was my inspiration to take on gymnastics as a kid. Mum wanted to recruit her as my trainer, but she was unavailable."

Ethan shook his head. "Only you could get a champion as a personal trainer," he said, smiling.

Anabel rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Anyway, where's Doctor Oliver?" she asked, leaning back in her chair, drawing her knees up to chest and wrapping her arms around them.

"Hey. You're new here, aren't you?"

"Yeah. The name's Tommy."

Conner glanced at Anabel as Kim and Tommy flirted on the screen. He could remember a time where they were hopeless teenagers flirting in the school corridors between classes.

"What's going on?" Tommy exclaimed.

"Tommy, I have chosen you!" Rita Repulsa laughed.

"Her evil magic was too strong. I couldn't fight it. She commanded me to destroy the other Rangers, and I almost succeeded."

"I know you're the Green Ranger." Kim whispered, fiercely.

"Well then, Pink Ranger, you should know that you, and the other Power Rangers, will soon be destroyed."

"But my friends never gave up. They helped me destroy the Power Sword, and I was freed."

"What's happening to me?" Tommy asked.

"You're no longer under Rita's power. Fight by our side and we can defeat Rita." Jason said.

"After everything that's happened?"

"Tommy, we need you. It's where you belong. Will you join us?""

"And that's where I joined the team. But, not for long. I soon discovered the Green Ranger powers were only temporary."

"As you're aware, the Green Ranger's powers were completely destroyed by the last few battles. Alpha and I felt it was time to create an even more powerful Ranger to battle Lord Zedd, and his diabolical evil. So now, my friends, I present to you, the White Ranger."

"Guess who's back."

The video paused.

"Hey!" Kira, Conner, and Anabel exclaimed

"Sorry, but I'm so buggin' that I can't even deal," said Ethan, his eyes wide as he looked from the video and then to his friends.

Conner leaned on the back of Anabel's chair. "Our teacher is the oldest living Power Ranger," he breathed.

"Not the oldest, just the best."

Spinning around, the quartet stared, wide-eyed at Hayley.

"How did you get in here?" Conner asked.

"More to the point, what do you know about any of this?" Kira asked.

"Do you know where Doctor Oliver is?" Anabel asked, lowering her feet from the chair.

Hayley shrugged and nodded. "I have a pretty good idea," she said, approaching the computers. She set her bag down on the floor and shooed Ethan from his chair, claiming it as her own, and taking a CD Rom from inside her handbag. "This is footage from the day of your gig, Kira."

The video diary disappeared, replaced with the security footage of outside the Cybercafe that passed Friday. It showed Doctor Oliver being abducted by Tyrannodrones and Zeltrax.

"Why doesn't he just morph?" Conner asked. "I mean, he's a Power Ranger."

"Not anymore," said Hayley. "Or didn't you get that far?"

"You kind of interrupted us," said Anabel,

Hayley smiled apologetically. She brought back up the video diary and pressed play.

"Try and escape this, Power Rangers!"

"A new villain, Lord Zedd, was destroying Earth, and with three Rangers leaving, a new Power source had to be found," continued the narration.

"The Sword of Light will allow your powers to be transferred to create new Rangers."

"Rocky, Adam, Aisha!"

"Trini, Zack, and Jason passed on their powers and the three new Power Rangers stepped forward, and just in time as Rita and Zedd teamed up to form our most powerful enemy yet, bringing with them a new terror - Rito. The team fought bravely, but it wasn't enough."

"Looks like we lost more than just our Zords, we've lost our Powers."

Anabel glanced at Hayley. "I'm guessing it doesn't end there?" she asked.

Hayley hit pause. "No. The Mighty Morphin Rangers were sent on a quest to find Ninjor, a powerful being that could grant them new powers," she explained. She hit play.

"Your journey is about to begin..."

"A Ranger never gives up," the narration continued. "Ninjor told us of the secret powers of Ninja. With our quest complete, we gained new weapons, new Zords, and new enemies. But, along with new enemies came new friends. When Kimberley chose to leave, Katherine was the only choice. Katherine assumed the Pink Ranger powers, and just in time. We were under attack. We got out just as Rita and Zedd succeeded in destroying the Command Centre."

Anabel swallowed hard as she watched the destruction happen on the screen.

"Beneath the ruins, we were reunited with an old friend, and she held the power that would guide us into the next chapter of our lives as Rangers."

"Blu! What are you doing here? I thought you got out before the attacks?"

"I did."

"Then where have you been?"

"I'm sorry for being so mysterious, you guys. Zordon sent me home. He knew that Rita and Zedd would attack the Command Centre, and he knew that our powers would be destroyed along with it. He sent me home to get a new power source."

"A new Power Source?"

"This is the Zeo Crystal. It's resided in my homeland for centuries and contains unimaginable power. Come with me, someone wants to see you."

"Blu led us to a new command post. One that had been hidden beneath our original one for many years. It was, Blu explained, protected by magic."

"Wait, wait, wait," said Conner, leaning forward and hitting play. "Did he just say magic?"

Anabel stared at Hayley. "Blu is from the Mystic Realm," she said.

Hayley nodded. "There is more on her later," she said. "But yes, Conner, magic exists," she added before hitting play again.

"Rangers, the power of the Zeo Crystal now resides within you. It will bestow upon you powers beyond your imagination."

"The Zeo powers were awesome, but when we needed reinforcements, we turned to an old friend."

"The new Gold Ranger is right here."

"Jason Lee Scott," Anabel murmured.

"After high school graduation, we said goodbye to an old friend one final time."

"Are you sure you can't stay? We could always use the help of a mystic."

"I won't be far. If there is one thing my time here has taught me, it's that the world needs protecting, and I don't just mean this one. There is a whole world out there, the world where I am from, that needs protecting, too. I have seen how people react to aliens; I don't think they are quite ready for fairies, elves, and goblins yet."

"Thank you for your services, Blu, if there is anything you need..."

"I know where to find you. Thank you, Zordon. I will take everything you have taught me back to the Mystic Realm, and I will teach them the ways you have taught me. I will teach them that the human world isn't a place we should fear."

"The human world owes you a great debt, and the Mystic world is lucky to have such a strong and fierce protector watching them. Good luck."

"As Blu departed, the rest of us were ready to face the world. But not before going on one last adventure as Power Rangers. It was time to shift into a higher gear."

"Shift in Turbo!"

"The old Rangers were gone forever, but the Turbo Rangers were born. A space pirate named Divatox launched an attack on Earth, and we were given the powers of Turbo and took her head-on. With a little help..."

"Guys, I'm the new Blue Ranger!"

"TJ, Cassie, Ashley, and Carlos proved they had what it takes"

"I wouldn't be here today, TJ, if it weren't for your courage and strength. I choose you to lead the team as the new Red Ranger."

Hayley hit pause. "After that, Tommy went to college where he met yours truly," she explained. "But when he found the Dino Gems, he knew that he couldn't escape the power for long."

"He found the Dino Gems on a dig with my dad," said Anabel.

"Your father hired Tommy straight out of school," Hayley said. "Offered him an apprenticeship. Tommy accepted, as did another guy, but I can't remember his name. Anyway, Tommy got the job at the end of it, and he and your dad became partners, sort to speak."

"Your dad never spoke about Doctor Oliver?" Ethan asked.

Anabel shrugged. "My dad left when I was five," she answered. "Before that, he didn't really talk about work around me."

"Not that you would've understood," said Conner.

"Speak for yourself," Anabel teased. "I was rather intelligent for a five-year-old."

Conner smiled.

"Seeing as I don't want our team to be the end of the line," said Ethan, bringing the conversation back to the topic at hand. "Can we get back to finding Dr. O?"

Kira gasped. "I just thought of something, what about invisiportals?" she asked. "I mean, they're all over the city, right? Couldn't we just find one and use it to get to Mesogog's lab?"

"I've been working on that very thing," said Hayley. "Unfortunately, I need just a little more time."

"Okay. So, what do we do when you're doing that?" Conner asked.

"Watch more of your History. You might learn something."

Anabel perked up. "At the beginning of the video, Doctor Oliver mentioned learning about the 'History of our World'. Does this video contain footage and knowledge of the Mystic Realm? Does Blu return?"

Hayley smiled and hit play.

Anabel pouted at Hayley but turned her attention to the screens as the diary continued.

"Divatox was tough, and her the piranhatrons were relentless. Divatox wasn't ready to give up and staged a fearsome attack, taking out the Turbo Ranger's command centre and their powers with it. She headed for space and Earth's ultimate destruction."

"We have to go to the Samarian planet."

"We've got to stop Divatox before she comes back."

"The Rangers knew that they had to follow Divatiox into space and embarked on the most dangerous mission, leaving behind the world they knew…"

"Goodbye, Justin."

"…forever."

Anabel whistled under her breath. "That's dedication," she murmured. "I don't think I would have it in me to just up and leave Earth like that. At least, not without telling my mum everything first."

"Same," Kira agreed.

"You're telling us that no one questioned their disappearance?" Ethan asked.

Anabel glanced at Hayley. Unfortunately, the older woman was to engrossed in what she was doing to even notice the video diary's continuation.

Ethan and Anabel shared a look over Hayley's head.

"The journey into space was treacherous…"

"It's pulling us in."

"And the line between friend and foe was a thin one. Andros proved he was more than a friend. He was just the kind of leader they would need to fight a new enemy…"

"Open the outer space hatch!"

"We're coming with you!"

"… and enemy called… Astronema.. They thought they had no hope, but Andros brought them the Astro Morphers, bringing forth a new team."

"All right, let's rocket!"

"Who is he?"

"His name is Zane. He's the silver ranger."

"The Space Rangers freed Zane from his deep freeze, and the silver ranger was a noble addition to the team. Together the defeated Astronema, and the Earth was saved. Meanwhile, on Earth, the Mystic realm was in trouble, and an elite team was being put together to fight a new battle against an invasion of Demons."

"Lightspeed has developed technology and highly sophisticated weapons that we believe can stop them. Because of your skills, you have been chosen to use these weapons to defend the city. These are your rescue morphers. The city, and the Mystic Realm, needs you!"

"Ready?"

"The Lightspeed Rangers needed one more to complete their mission. That's when Ryan joined the team."

"Titanium Power!"

The video paused, and the four teenagers exclaimed, each one looking quickly at Hayley.

"I was watching that!" Ethan whined.

"Sorry, but I've got something," Hayley apologised.

"What, you found him" Conner asked.

"Almost. I've got a lock on the back door to Mesogog's firewall. In theory, it should lead us straight to an invisiportal," Hayley explained.

"And then what?" Kira asked.

Anabel jumped as the computers started beeping, and each monitor flickered and turned black. The words - SEARCHED FAILED - appearing in block red letters on the screens.

"What's going on?" Conner asked.

"Either I'm losing my touch, or Mesogog is really smart for a mutant freak," Hayley sighed, slouching back in her seat.

The screens flickered and a spaceship appeared as each screen merged into one. A rather large, yellow spaceship, was being whacked across a runway by a mechanical arm and disappeared through an archway at the end.

"What's it doing now?" Kira asked.

"Retrieving more Mystic History," said Hayley.

"Nice spaceship," said Ethan.

The spaceship exploded as it collided with a sand dune and Anabel glanced at her friend. "Not anymore," she teased.

"My friends and I are from the year 3000 —"

"Whoa, hold up!" Anabel exclaimed, leaning forward and hitting pause. "Power Rangers who came from the future?"

"They're down with Time travel and everything, right? Couldn't they take us back to the moment when Dr. O was kidnapped?" Kira asked.

Conner furrowed his brow. "What, so we can watch it happen all over again?" he asked.

Ethan, Anabel, Hayley, and Kira all paused and then turned to face Conner.

"Oh, wait, you mean so we can stop them," said Conner, awkwardly. "Got it."

Anabel rolled her eyes. "It's worth a shot," she added to Kira. "Maybe this can tell us how to reach them."

Kira nodded and pressed play.

"We're trying to recapture a gang of mutants that escaped through time and take them back with us. We think you may be the only one who can unlock these morphers so we can defeat them."

"Hey, that's Wes Collins," said Anabel.

"You know him?" Hayley asked, stunned.

Anabel wavered her hand from side to side. "I don't know him, personally. But I know of him. His dad invited my family over for Dinner once so that he and dad could talk shop. I met Wes while I was there."

"When was this?" Conner asked.

"About a month or so before my dad left me."

"It's yours! "

"DNA confirmed!

"Ready?"

"Ready!"

"Time For… Time Force!"

"Rangers from the future chased a mutant criminal through time. But it took a modern-day hero to help finish the job. It took a while for Eric to learn that the greatest virtue of being a Ranger is not the power…."

"Quantum Power!"

"…but the reward of helping mankind."

"That was sick, but not helpful," said Ethan as Hayley paused the video.

Conner sighed. "Okay. So, what about all the other Rangers?" he asked. "I mean, there must be hundreds of them all over the place. Couldn't we all team up and scout all over the city?"

"Yeah? And what about the Mystic Realm? What about Blu? Couldn't we contact her and explain what's happened? She and Dr. O have history together, surely, she'll send help to find him."

"It's not that easy," said Hayley, shaking her head. "Tommy hasn't had contact with Blu in years, and as for the Rangers, some of them don't have their powers anymore. Some of them never even wanted them at all."

The video continued.

"Hold on just a second. I-I never agreed to be a part of this."

"I-I don't know what happened back there, and while some of your story from Root core made sense to me, but… this is just too much, and I'm not even sure if I'm ready for it."

"Soon after Kali and Nick accepted that they were meant to be in Briarwood and joined their new team-mates as the Black and Red Mystic Rangers, their lives took a turn as they realised their reasons for being in Briarwood at that particular moment in time, and both came face-to-face with some troublesome revelations that had been hidden from them their entire lives."

"You look familiar, have we met?"

"I highly doubt it. I haven't been in Briarwood that long."

"Maeve!"

"Calindor, are you sure? Maeve was lost years ago."

"Excuse me, but who is Maeve?"

"Maeve was my daughter."

Anabel lurched forward and hit pause. "I know her, too," she said, staring at the image of Kali Briar. "I met her once in Blue Bay Harbour. But, I thought the Hellhound was neither good nor evil?" she asked.

"That is true," said Hayley. "But Maeve, or Kali as she prefers, was born to both sides. That's how she can use the darkness for good."

Anabel sat back and Hayley restarted the video.

"Can we back up for a second? You're Bowen? The same Bowen that I was whisked away with as a kid and supposedly separated from?" Kali asked.

"Supposedly, yeah," said Nick.

"Leanbow soon returned to his family, bringing with him an old friend and ally in the fight against the Master."

"Mom," Kali breathed.

"With the master's return, and their magic all spent, the Rangers knew their end was near. But, they underestimated their links throughout both the human and magical worlds and drawing on those links through their friends like Phineas and Toby, both worlds were finally reunited as they passed on their own magical beliefs and refuelled the Rangers magic with their own."

"We call forth the magic, together as one, united for all time! Power Rangers Mystic Force!"

Hayley paused the video and turned to Anabel. "You wanted more info on the Mystic Realm," she said.

"Yeah, but I wasn't expecting that," said Anabel, gesturing to the screens. "I have more questions now than I did before - what happened to the Moon Sorceress? What about Blu? Where were the Shadow Warrior and Leanbow all those years they were missing?" She took a deep breath.

When the Mystic Rangers had revealed their identities almost four years ago, she had been fascinated, but there had been so many questions they had left unanswered. The Mystic Force were partly the reason Anabel had chosen to go in for journalism, she wanted to find the truth to stories that were being covered up.

"A journalist is never satisfied," Hayley teased.

Anabel blushed.

"Meanwhile, on this side of the Mystic Realm, we're nowhere near finding Dr. Oliver than we were when we started the video diary," said Ethan.

"I know there is one group of Rangers that are currently active, but they're in Ocean Bluff and won't be a part of this diary until their term is finished," said Hayley.

"What about Operation Overdrive?" Conner asked.

Anabel gasped. "Oh yeah!" she said.

The others turned to the pair.

"Operation Overdrive?" Kira asked.

"They worked out of San Angeles two years ago," Anabel answered. "I remember reading about them in the news. They were funded by Andrew Hartford to find and protect jewels of the Corona Aurora, a powerful, and thought to be, mystical crown."

Conner nodded.

"How do you two know all this?" Ethan asked.

"Just like Albert Collins, my dad was actually good friends with Andrew Hartford," said Anabel. "They went on a few digs together. I didn't meet Andrew like I did Albert, but he was still very forthcoming when he learned who my father was."

"Wait, you met Andrew Hartford?" Kira asked. "How?"

Anabel cast her gaze down. "Conner took me to San Angeles two years ago," she answered.

"Why were you in San Angeles?" Ethan asked. "Don't tell me you went Ranger chasing?"

Conner snorted.

"Look, me and my dad may not be on the best terms," said Anabel. "But, I've never stopped searching for him. Two years ago, when I heard that Andrew Hartford had the Corona Aurora, and knowing full well that my dad was fascinated in the crown from an early age, I had to know if Andrew had found it with my dad or because of him. I wanted answers. So, Conner took me to get them."

Conner met Anabel's gaze and returned the smile she was offering him. At least she could remember the good times they had before everything had become so screwed.

"Is this them?" Hayley asked.

Anabel looked back at the screen.

"…that was three days ago. Evil has arrived on Earth."

"Overdrive, Accelerate!"

Anabel and Conner nodded. "Yep. That's them," they both confirmed.

Hayley pressed play and Ethan and Kira leaned closer, watching the video with keen interest. Of course, they had heard of Operation Overdrive, but not to the extent that Conner and Anabel had.

"When things were getting to hot for comfort, a new ally joined the Rangers in their quest to protect the Corona Aurora and it's jewels. Tyzonn was a great asset, but when the spawn of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa appeared, destroying the Overdrive Rangers connection to the morphin' grid, the guardian of the crown travelled space and time to bring together a replacement team of Rangers."

Anabel scanned the screens. She recognised most of the replacement rangers, but not all of them.

"As the guardian of the crown, it is my duty to see that they are protected. That is why I have chosen, Billy, Bridge, Maisie, Aviva, Kali, Chris, and Rhea to replace you as the new team of Power Rangers."

Anabel looked around at her friends.

"They just straight up replaced them?" Ethan exclaimed. "That's cold!"

The others nodded their agreement.

"I don't think it lasted long," said Hayley. "Not when you consider the fact that two years ago the Abyss of Evil was in need of protection, and as the Hellhound, Kali would've been duty bound to be available to stop any interference with it."

"Lothor opened the Abyss two years ago," said Anabel. "It was during the US Actions games. We were there, remember?" she looked up at Conner.

Conner nodded. He and Anabel had attended the games with his twin brother, Eric and friends.

"Why would the Hellhound have been duty bound to the Abyss?" Ethan asked.

"Because it is a gateway to the underworld," Hayley answered. "That, and, she is the only one with the power to both open and close the abyss. Lothor would've needed her."

"So, you're saying that Briar was called as a replacement ranger while on the Ninja Storm team?" Conner asked. "Damn! How many times has she been a Ranger?"

"Twice, as far as I know," said Hayley.

"Do you have data on the Ninja Storm team?" Ethan asked, eagerly.

Hayley nodded and searched the video diary for the information she needed. "Here you go," she said, pressing play.

"While the Overdrive Rangers defended San Angeles from Moltor and Flurious, a team of elite Ninjas were tasked with protecting the world from a rogue known as Lothor."

"These are your Power Ranger Wind Morphers."

"Three unlikely Ninja students commanded the power of Earth, Air, and Water. They were joined by the Hellhound guardian, Kali Briar, bringing the power of Darkness to the side of good once again."

"I heard you were in the market for a Black Ranger, and since I had the expertise in wielding dark magic and wearing black spandex, I decided to apply. I guess this means I got the job."

"Magical Storm, Ranger Form - Power of Darkness!"

"It was the power of Thunder that gave them their biggest challenge. But their greatest enemies…"

"Blake?"

"Leave him. We've got what we want."

"It's coming back! Aah!"

"…proved to be their greatest allies. With Earth at the brink of destruction, another friend - Cam — went back in time to retrieve the one Power that could save them all — the power of the Green Samurai Ranger. In their final battle against Lothor, the Rangers made the ultimate sacrifice."

"I have your Ranger Powers!"

"We may not be Power Rangers, but we still have Power!"

"Power of Air!"

"Power of Earth!"

"Power of Water!"

"Ninja Powers!"

"NO!"

Anabel's eyes widened as a howl echoed through the speakers. "What was that?" she asked.

"That was the Hellhound sealing the Abyss," said Hayley.

"Briar actually howled?" Conner asked. "Like, she tilted her head back and - Awoo!"

The others laughed.

Hayley smiled and shook her head. "I don't know how it's done," she said. "If you ever get the chance to meet her, maybe you can ask."

"Meet the Hellhound? That would be amazing!" Anabel grinned.

"Can we just take a minute to appreciate the fact that Ninjas are real?" Ethan asked, grinning madly.

Anabel laughed.

"Not only are they real, but my brother's one," said Conner. "He's been teaching me some of his moves. Check this out." He punched the air and then kicked twice, before spinning around and kicked out again, his foot connecting with the computer, causing sparks to fly.

The team held their breath as they turned back to the monitors, all of which were blacked out.

"Oh, please tell me that did not just happen," Kira breathed.

"I think we just lost our last hope of finding Tommy," Hayley whispered.

Anabel glanced back at Conner. "Did you forget what Eric said about Ninja basics 101?" she snapped. "Don't practice your Ninja skills indoors!"

"Hayley, tell me you've got something," said Conner, desperately.

A tense silence followed his question, and finally Hayley exclaimed that she had something.

"We are so lucky you're a genius!" Ethan breathed.

"Even geniuses need help sometimes," said Hayley. "That little jolt must've done something to the wiring 'cause I'm getting something."

The others grinned.

"With the return of Mesogog, it became necessary to invoke the power of the Dino Gems, should anything happen to me, these four our in charge of protecting the planet, and if they stumble or need assistance? Kali Briar is only a phone call away. She'll know what to do. You're in good hands."

"It's us," said Kira.

"He really trusts us," said Conner.

Hayley nodded. "He does," she confirmed.

"We have to save him. We owe it to him," said Ethan.

"The whole world owes him," said Kira.

"Kali Briar is really important, isn't she?" Anabel asked Hayley.

Hayley nodded. "Yes, she is," she confirmed. "She's a descendant of Blu Raynes - also a guardian of the Hellhound. I'll tell you the legend another time, but right now…" she turned back to the computer as it beeped, alerting her to an invisiportal location.

"Right now, it's time to go save a teacher," said Conner.

Anabel, Kira, and Ethan nodded their agreement. They would bring Doctor Oliver back, whatever the cost.
