It was a completely random thought, but one that bothered him ever since they moved in together.
It nipped at his mind, the perverted part that is.
It was also a slight curiosity that came into thought the more he started learning more about Power, and the more he spent time with her.
"Hey Power?"
The subject in question grunted as she tried to slip on her ice skating boots.
"What is it?' She huffed in frustration, straining to put on the object.
Denji sighed and took a knee in front her. With the gritting of his teeth and a forceful pull, he yanked the boot up, covering her exposed feet.
"Why do you wear those breast pads?"
Perhaps he should've noted the timing of that question because people were sending them looks, ones that seemed rather condescending. Power didn't seem to notice, nor did she seem to care for the glares directed at her, or most likely him.
"Well... the previous owner of this body had insecurities with her appearance. I can feel it as well, when I look at other women with bigger chests, it would make me feel... how do humans put it... nervous... angry... jealous? I guess it's just force of habit." Power shrugged nonchalantly. The other skaters looked at Power with disgust, their face contorting in undeniable hatred, most likely because of her fiend status. Denji had to push down the urge to growl at them.
When he finished helping her tie her final boot, he stood up and pulled her up from the bench they were sitting on.
Careful to hold her so she doesn't lose balance and let her hold him, the two made their way to the rink.
It was when they were both halfway to the rink, both in an awkward mix between stumbling and walking, that he told her something.
It came as he thought about the time she let him squeeze her chest... or well pads. She was so confident and uncaring about letting him touch her breasts that when he saw the faint hint of a frown from the corner of his eyes, it lit a small fire under him.
"You know, you shouldn't care what others think about your body. Just be confident."
It came as an offhanded comment, one he didn't really try to aim at her but she heard it.
"Thanks." Was the reply.
When the boy turned he saw her smile.
Power didn't smile too much.
She was eccentric, loud, obnoxious, overbearing, a compulsive liar, and downright insane at some points.
But when she smiled...
When she really smiled...
He couldn't help but smile with her.
He was happy.
