Jace was still trapped in the cage of light that's bound by the swords. He touched the invisible wall as then he flinched because it burned. Then Izzy, Marley and Alec entered. "It's no use trying to escape. The trap you're in was designed to hold a Greater Demon."

Jace smirked. "Well, that's not very nice, trapping your brother in a box."

"You're not our brother." Alec glared at him. "And don't get too comfortable, because we're gonna bring him back."

"You and your undying love for your parabatai." Jace snarled. "I hate to burst your bubble, but when I was sent to your family in Idris, I was a desperate kid."

Just then, Magnus entered. "Pay no mind to him, Alexander."

Jace scoffed, looking at Alec. "The only reason I became your parabatai was to make sure there was a roof over my head."

"Don't listen to him." Marley told him.

"He's just trying to get under your skin." Magnus added.

"Or maybe…" Jace hissed. "I just prefer not to coddle your latest soldier boyfriend."

Just then, the front door flings open and Luke and Simon entered. "We got your call." Luke looked at them. "Any news about Clary?"

Simon came angrily at Jace. "You almost killed her!"

Jace was being provocative. "Ooh!"

"She gave herself up to the Clave trying to protect you!" Simon shouted.

"Still jealous she picked me over you, huh?" Jace looked unimpressed. "By the way, that kiss at the Seelie Court, we never got to compare notes."

Simon punched the invisible cage. "Let me in there! I'll throw you off a building!"

Then Luke took Simon away. "Come on! Come on, Simon."

Jace smiled as Luke and Simon went to talk in Magnus' study. "The Jace in that trap is not our Jace. We need to focus. All right? If the Clave finds out about Clary's wish to Raziel, we might never see her again." Then, the rest of the group joined Luke and Simon. "All right. Do we have anybody in Idris that can get us information?"

"Well, we stole from the Clave's armory." Alec replied to him.

"So if they've figured that out…" Marley trailed off.

"They're not gonna tell us anything." Isabelle added.

Simon looked at them. "So what's plan B?"

"I'm gonna try to get some more intel on Clary. The best thing you can do? Go back to that abandoned building and see if you can find some clues." Luke replied to him.

"No!" Simon shook with his head. "I'm not going on a demon hunt while my best friend is in prison!"

"Simon." Izzy sighed. "Clary risked everything to save Jace. You want to do something for her? Help destroy the demon that caused all this mess."

Simon nodded. "But I want to know as soon as you hear anything."

"You got it." Luke told him.

"Hey." Alec told them, seriously. "No one can find out about Jace's possession. If Clary's able to keep a lid on her wish, we can't blow it." Both Luke and Simon nodded, then they leave.

Just then, Marley spoke as she had glanced at her father. "Speaking of Jace, we need to talk."

Marley and Alec were out on the balcony, discussing the next steps. "Now, if we wanna bring Jace back, we have to get through to him using the strongest connection possible." Marley told him.

"Which is me." Alec told her. "I'm in. Whatever it takes."

Marley looked at him worried. "I don't think you understand. This isn't like the last time we tried to use your parabatai connection to help Jace. If you go in, Lilith could get her demonic claws into your soul as well."

"I have to do this." Alec insisted.

Marley nodded. "Of course. But if I help you, and I lose you…" She put her hand on her stomach.

Alec nodded. "I know." He took Marley' hands. "It's just if... If I don't get Jace back, I… Without him, I'm... I'm nothing."

"Alright, then we'll do this." Marley told him. "But you're not going in alone."

Alec and Marley had gone back to Izzy and Magnus. "So I can go with Alec to save Jace, even though I'm not his parabatai?" Izzy asked to them.

"It's possible, but it would require more magic and give you less time inside." Magnus replied to her.

"No." Alec shook with his head. "I'll take the chance, but I'm not putting Izzy in that kind of danger."

"Last time you tried to use your parabatai connection, you were in a coma and almost died." Izzy explained it to them. "Jace was the only person who could save you. And this time we won't have him to bring you back. What exactly do we have to do?"

"As my father had explained it to me." Marley replied to her. "You have to find Jace and bring him out with you."

Alec frowned. "How?"

"When you find him, you all have to be linked." Marley replied to him. "Now, I'll have one shot to pull you all out together."

"So it's settled." Izzy comment to them. "Let's go bring back our brother."

"Hey, what are the chances I could get a beer in here?" Jace asked suddenly to them all.

"I'm getting a head each." Marley rubbed her temple.

Alec looked at them. "None. Let's go."

"You guys were always the smart ones in the family." Jace asked to them. "You really think you can save Jace from Lilith?"

No one reacts as then, Magnus spoke up. "I don't know how long I can maintain the connection. So, find Jace as soon as possible."

"And I will help." Marley added.

Jace looked at Marley. "Why do you wanna save Jace? He's your main competition."

Marley didn't forget that Alec had liked Jace as well. "Hmm."

"You may share your bed with him, but if your precious Alec could only have one of us, who do you think he'd pick?" Jace asked to her.

Before Marley could say anything, Alec spike op. "Shut up."

"It's okay." Magnus told them. "He's just trying to distract us. Focus."

"Oh, yeah. Whatever you do, don't lose..." Jace was interrupted as Magnus charged his magic at him, followed by Marley.

Jace grunted as Magnus and Marley connected Jace to Izzy and Alec with his magic, they are holding each other's hands. Everyone was shaking. Jace looked down: his parabatai rune was lit up, so was Alec's. "You know, your boyfriend's right. Focus is the key." Jace sneered.

Magnus yelled as Jace put his hands up against the invisible cage wall the blast make Jace fell to the ground, unconscious. The magical links were broken as Izzy looked at him. "Jace?"

"He's doing it on purpose." Alec scoffed.

Magnus nodded. "Yes, to prevent us from entering his mind. We have to find another way."

"Yeah... How?" Marley asked.

"I have an idea. Portal me to the Institute." Izzy replied to her as then she was portaled away.

Later, Jace woke up with his wrists in chains. "Oh, brave. No more box?"

"We needed the Malachi Configuration to trap you." Alec replied to him. "We're not gonna let you use it to hurt our brother."

Jace was pulling the chains. "And now you think this can hold me?"

"Valentine used them to hold an Angel for 25 years." Izzy replied to him.

"I'm no Angel." Jace sneered.

"Only half." Marley snarled.

Izzy looked at the others. "How much longer until Magnus is ready?"

"About now." Marley pointed at the door.

Just then, Magnus entered. "No time like the present."

"Let's do this." Alec told them.

Magnus and Marley charged a ball of magic and connected Jace to Izzy and Alec again. "No, you don't wanna do this..." Jace was interrupted as the others entered his mind.

Later, Magnus and Marley were still keeping the links intact, but they were struggling. "Alexander, if you can hear me, hurry!" Magnus shouted. "Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!"

"We can't hold for much longer.!" Marley shouted as well as then she felt pain in hr stomach, she feared for her child's life. Then she looked at her father. "I need to back down."

Magnus looked at her and saw that she was in pain. "Do it, I can hold on my own for the moment."

"Okay." Marley let go and went to sit down, hoping the pain would go away.

Magnus was blast away by Lilith, who entered through the balcony doors. "Ah!" Magnus shouted as Alec and Izzy's bodies fell to the ground.

"Dad!" Marley shouted.

Lilith looked angry. "I don't look kindly on people who take what's mine." She hissed as she lifted Magnus up with her magic against the wall, choking him.

"Go ahead and kill me. But don't hurt Alec, Marley and Izzy." Magnus snarled at her.

"Tempting offer." Lilith comment. "If I didn't fear starting a war with your father, I would happily oblige." Then she dropped Magnus and went to Jace. At that moment, Izzy and Alec returned to their bodies. They sat up and looked at the empty chains on the ground.

"No! No! She took Jace!" Alec sounded frustrated.

"I'm sorry." Magnus sighed in defeat. "I couldn't stop her."

"It's not your fault, dad." Marley told him as Alec pounded on the floor with his hand.

Alec was sitting on the couch, Marley went to sit next to him, forgetting her pain, Izzy had crouched down by the chains and picked one of them up, Magnus closed the balcony doors. "He begged us." Alec sighed as then he stood up. "He begged us to kill him."

"All the terrible things Lilith made Jace do…" Izzy told them. "He said if she takes him back, she'd make him do much worse."

"Now Lilith has him again, just like he said she would." Alec sounded defeated. "We promised him we wouldn't let her take him back."

"You did all you could." Magnus told him.

"We promised him." Alec said, looking at him.

"Don't make promises, you can't keep." Marley said with a pained face.

Alec saw that as rushed over to her. "What's wrong?" The others looked at them.

"I have pain in mine stomach." Marley replied to him. "I must have exhausted myself to much."

Alec looked now worried for her as then he looked at Magnus, asking. "Can't you see what's wrong?"

"Yes." Magnus nodded, waving with hand towards Marley. "She in labour, the begin stadium."

"What?!" The siblings exclaimed as Alec continued. "But it's still two months to early."

"I know, its duo to stress, that has casted this." Magnus told them.

"We need to get back to the institute." Alec stated.

Marley nodded. "I agree to that. Dad, can we?" She looked at her father.

"Yes, I will portal us now." Magnus told them and portaled them back to the institute.

When they arrived, Marley's water broke, she was rushed to the hospital side. Hours later, their boy was born premature and had to be placed in a safe thingy, the nurses needed to take care of him as there was a battle coming up. They needed all to be prepared.
