Magnus was making a pentagram on the floor with ashes. "It's been hundreds of years since you banished your father. What makes you think he'll even listen to your request?" Alec asked to him.
"Let's just say he owes me one." Magnus replied to him.
Alec frowned. "For what happened with your mother?"
"That and for everything in the years that followed. I was living on the streets. I didn't know who or what I was. Asmodeus took me in. Nurtured my darker impulses. And taught me the "proper" way to be a warlock." Magnus replied to him.
"From what I hear he's an ass." Marley comment as she was in a mood, thinking about her newborn son.
"And why'd you listen to him?" Alec added.
"Because he was the only one in the world with eyes like me. He was my father." Magnus replied to him.
"That's understandable, I would do the same." Marley comment, truthfully.
"Look, at least give me the time to call in back-up from the Institute." Alec stated. "We don't even have Lilith under control. Another Greater Demon gets loose, it could put the whole city at risk."
"Well…" Marley trailed off.
"Fortunately for the good people of New York, my father won't be traveling top-side." Magnus added as he stood up. The pentagram was finished.
Alec looked at them. "What aren't you telling me?"
"This pentagram isn't for summoning Asmodeus to Earth. It's for sending someone to Edom. In this case, us." Magnus pointed at himself and Marley.
Alec shook with his head. "Absolutely not."
"It's the only way." Marley told him, seriously.
"We need my father's help." Magnus agreed with his daughter. "And the cell service down there is terrible."
"This isn't funny!" Alec shouted.
"Would you prefer I act as terrified as I feel right now?" Marley asked to him.
"This is insane." Alec comment.
Then, Marley approached Alec. "Tell me Jace isn't worth it." Alec was silent. "Let's get this over with."
Magnus snapped his fingers and used his magic to activate the pentagram. A circle of fire appeared. Magnus and Marley were about to step into the pentagram when Alec grabbed her arm and turned Marley to him. "You're gonna make it back. You hear me and our son?"
"Why wouldn't I? Look what I have waiting for me." She teased him a little as then they kissed. Magnus and Marley stepped into the flames. "I love you, Alec."
"I love you too." Alec told her.
They grunted and screamed as the fire eats them. Then they disappeared into the flames.
They saw demons flying in the sky, they hear the thunder. Then they noticed a house and started walking towards it. Later, they entered the lair, Magnus walked forward as Marley was behind him. It's full of candles. Suddenly, they hear a voice. "Who dares enter the lair of Asmodeus unannounced?" He appeared and saw Magnus, then he saw Marley. "Be still, my beating heart." Approaching Magnus with snake eyes. "Is that my beautiful boy or do my eyes deceive me?"
Asmodeus gave Magnus a hug. "Hello, Father." Magnus greeted weakly.
Then, he focused on Marley. "Who's this?"
"She my daughter." Magnus replied. "Your granddaughter."
"I'm Marley." Marley introduced herself.
"How in the world did it happen?" He asked to them.
"It's a story for another time, we are were for other things." Marley replied to him.
Then Asmodeus focused on Magnus and was circling around him. "My son. Magnus Bane. High Warlock of Greenwich here in Edom." Then he stood in front of Magnus.
"Not that it matters anymore, but I was the High Warlock of Brooklyn, not Greenwich." Magnus comment.
"Well, you'll have to forgive me for being out of touch." Asmodeus comment sarcastically. "It's not like you write. Or call. Or perform the occasional blood sacrifice."
"I see were you get it from, dad." Marley muttered to her father.
"Well, you'll have to forgive me, considering how we left things." Magnus comment to him somewhat sarcastic.
Asmodeus hummed. "I can only assume that your presence here means you've finally come to your senses." He told him.
Magnus frowned. "About what?"
"Banishing the only person who ever truly cared for you." Asmodeus replied, stating the obvious.
"You think I came here to apologize?" Magnus asked surprised.
Asmodeus looked at him. "A demon can hope, can't he? I plucked you from obscurity and poverty, and turned you into the man that you are today."
"I'm the man I am today because I finally saw you for what you really are: a prince of Hell." Magnus told him, bitterly.
"You didn't seem to mind at the time." Asmodeus comment to him.
"I didn't know any better!" Magnus shouted to him. "There isn't a single thing from our years together that doesn't make my skin crawl. I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but you'll get no apology from me."
"Then why have you come here? Why re-open this wound?" Asmodeus asked to him.
"I came here to ask you for your assistance." Magnus replied to him.
Asmodeus yelled, blasting Magnus to the back with his voice, Markey wasn't harmed, cause she stepped aside. "A favor?! After coming into my home and insulting me like this?! What kind of fool do you take me for?"
Then, Magnus approached Asmodeus. "The kind whose love for his chosen son might outweigh his pride."
"Just little demonic power to help free my friend, that's all I'm asking for." Magnus continued talking.
Asmodeus looked at him. "Why would I ever give you the means by which Lilith could be banished back here to lord over us all? Edom may not be Marseille, but it's a hell of a lot less miserable with her gone."
"Yeah, well, she terrorizing up there." Marley muttered.
"Name your price." Magnus told to his father.
"There is a time when we all must return to live in the houses of our fathers." Asmodeus told him. "Rule beside me."
"We never should have come." Magnus sighed.
"Say what you will about the time we spent together, but you have to admit, you enjoyed every minute of it." Asmodeus smirked.
"I was a child!" Magnus exclaimed. Pause. "Father, I have never once come here to ask you for anything." Then he continued talking. "There must be something else I can give you."
Asmodeus looked at him. "Actually, my son, there is."
A sudden scream make Jace to look up. "Alec!" Marley shouted as Magnus throws a ball of magic against Jace as he flow into the wall. Then they run to Alec as Jace was screaming, changing between forms of him and the Owl. "Stay with me!" Marley called to him as she used her magic on him, but the blood was still on the shirt. Jace throws up black goo, It sizzled on the ground.
Alec looked at them. "Mom said you'd make a dramatic entrance."
"Wise woman." Magnus had a small smile.
Jace was himself again as then he hurried over to Alec. "Alec! Alec! Magnus, please, you've gotta fix him!"
"I can't." Magnus sighed.
"He's fixed." Marley had a small voice.
"You can't?!" Jace exclaimed. "What do you mean you can't?"
"My magic, it's gone." Magnus replied to him. "I traded it to break Lilith's hold on you."
Jace activated Alec's Iratze, the wound was now more healed. Then Alec looked at him. "Jace it wasn't you."
"I'll take care of him." Marley told to Jace.
Jace put the stele in Alec's hand. Then he looked up with gold in his eyes. "I'm going to get Clary." As Jace rushed off, the others went back to the institute.
