Magnus was still unconscious on the floor as Marley was feeling his pulse. "Stay with me! Come on! Come on, Daddy. Stay with me. Come on!" Then her cat eyes were visible and her magic began to get out of control as then Catarina and Alec entered in a rush.

"What happened?" Catarina asked to her as Alec rushed over Marley. Catarina crouched down by Magnus' body. Izzy had entered too.

Alec calmed Marley down a bit as she replied to her. "Catarina, he… he just collapsed. I don't know. You have to do something. He's not breathing. I don't know what to do!"

"By the Angel!" Izzy exclaimed.

Marley was despaired. "Daddy, can you hear me?!"

Then, Catarina was charging her magic. "Stand back…"

"Please, I'm right here!" Marley shouted.

"Stand back!" Catarina shouted as then they stood up and went a bit backwards, then she fired electric waves at Magnus' body.

"Catarina, is he gonna be all right?" Alec asked to her.

"Come on, Magnus! Hang in there!" Catarina shouted.

Magnus was lying in a bed, unconscious, eyes closed. Marley and Alec were sitting by his bedside. "Daddy, I… I don't know if you can hear me. This is my fault. I was selfish. When you first lost your powers, and you said you were okay with it, I… I didn't think twice, but now... I'm… I'm so sorry. I'm sorry."

Just then, the sliding doors opened and closed, Catarina entered. "May I come in?"

They turned to look at Catarina. "Yeah. Did you manage to… make contact with the people at the Spiral Labyrinth?"

Catarina nodded. "Yes, and I shared the test results, and he agreed. Magnus's body is rejecting Lorenzo's magic."

"Rejecting?" Alec frowned. "What do you mean?"

"Think of it like a failing organ transplant." Catarina replied to him. "Each time Magnus performs a spell, it puts a tremendous strain on his body. He got lucky this time. He will regain consciousness. But if he uses magic again, even for something small, he might not survive."

"Oh, my god." Marley exclaimed. "How horrible."

"Why can't you just fix him? Why can't you just take Lorenzo's magic out?" Alec asked to her.

Catarina shook with her head. "I wish I could. The only one who can reverse the transfer is the person who gave it to him."

"Lorenzo did this on purpose." Marley stated.

"Marley, there's no way he could have planned it. With magic transfusions, there's always this possibility." Catarina comment.

Marley shook with her head. "No. He knew how desperate my father was. He took advantage of him. I'm not gonna let this son of a bitch get away with it."

Marley was about to go to the door, but Catarina held her back. "You need to settle down. What's the Shadowhunter saying? "Emotions cloud judgement"? You lose your temper with Lorenzo, he'll have less incentive to help. Like it or not, Lorenzo Rey is Magnus's only hope."

"I'm also half Warlock." Marley hissed at her. "I'm both and I'm pissed." Her cat eyes showed.

"I know, but you can also get out of control, you ned to calm down for tour father's sake." Catarina told her.

"How can I?" Marley voice broke, her tears began to fall. "He's my father and I can't see him hut lying in this bed, not knowing if he's gonna make it or not."

"I understand." Catarina nodded. "But right now we need to focus and to do what matters."

"Okay." Marley sniffled.

Then, Alec stood up and pulled Marley up as well. He hugged her. "Shhh." He just held her, until she calmed down, to confront Lorenzo.

Alec and Marley were about to knock on the door of Magnus' old apartment, but the doors opened in a whoosh before they can knock. There was classical music playing. Lorenzo was standing with his back to Alec and Marley by the window. Then they entered and the doors closed behind them. "Charming, isn't it? It's one of Mozart's lesser known works, but certainly one of my favorites… You should've seen the look on Wolfgang's face when I told him what I really thought about his Mass in C Minor."

"We need to talk." Marley hissed.

"Hang on, this is the best part." Lorenzo closed his eyes and enjoyed the music, Marley shut off the sound system and the music stops immediately. Lorenzo sighed. "What can I do for you, Miss. Bane?"

"My father has fallen ill as a result of the magic you gave him." Marley replied to him.

Lorenzo started to pour himself another drink. "I did warn your father of the risks involved. He assured me he could handle it."

"Well, he can't. And I would appreciate if you would take the magic back." Alec stepped in the conversation.

"Yes, I'm sure you would appreciate that." Lorenzo comment. "But he brought this upon himself. Not my fault the pompous old warlock falls by his own hubris."

Marley frowned. "Why? Why do you hate him so much?"

"It's simple." Lorenzo replied. "All my life, I've had to sit by and watch while the world lavished praise on Magnus Bane. The Prodigy. The High Warlock who could do no wrong."

"Green isn't becoming on you, Lorenzo." Alec comment.

"You have no idea how hard I've had to work for everything that I have." Lorenzo put his drink down. "That man was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His celebrity is not based on talent. It's nepotism."

"Lorenzo, you're right about one thing." Marely looked at him. "My father is beloved. And when word gets out that you wouldn't help him, purely out of jealously… how do you think the other warlocks are gonna feel?"

"I guess we'll find out, won't we?" Lorenzo didn't care much.

"Oh, you bastard." Marley hissed. "I swear I will..."

"You'll what?" Lorenzo pushed Marley away with his magic. "I believe we're done here. You can show yourself out."

Then Marley's cat eyes showed as she pashed away the magic. "Selfish bastard, how do you think to lose family or a loved one?" She hissed.

Then, she was ready to attack as then Alec spoke up. "You've never been in love, have you?"

"I'm over 300 years old." Lorenzo scoffed. "Of course I have. More times than I care to admit."

Alec walked back to Lorenzo. "Well for me, it's only one. Marley. She is my world, and I can't see her hurt that she about to lose a loved one…" Pause. "Look, Lorenzo… he's no threat to you. Okay? He doesn't have his powers. Just… please. Please, help him."

"Please." Marley pleaded.

Magnus was slowly blinking with his eyes. He's still laying in the hospital bed. Marley was sitting by his bedside. "Daddy, can you hear me? There you are." Tilted Magnus' head so he faces her. "Hey."

"Oh. There you are…" Magnus comment, seeing that Marley had tears in her eyes.

"Yeah." She nodded.

"What happened?" Magnus asked confused.

"Well, you got very sick, but everything's gonna be okay." Marley replied to him. "But I was very worried that you were never gonna wake up." Magnus tried to sit up, but she helped adjust the pillow so he can. "Just hold on. Here. Let me get that for you."

Magnus looked at his clothes. "Ah. Oh, definitely not this wardrobe."

"Dad, that not important." Marley scolded.

"Oh, meh." Magnus snapped his fingers.

"No!" Marley held Magnus' wrist tightly.

Magmas frowned. "Munchkin, what…" Then he noticed Lorenzo standing by the door. "What's he doing here?"

"Using Lorenzo's magic is what got you sick." Marley replied to him. "Catarina says that if you use the magic again, even a little bit, it could go horribly wrong. The only way for you to get better… is for Lorenzo to take the magic away."

"Oh… No, Catarina's just being overly cautious. Trust me, I feel fine." Magnus shrugged it off as then he tried to get out of bed, but Marley held him back.

"No." Marley looked at Lorenzo. "Can we just get a minute, please?" then Lorenzo walked out of the room.

"No! I'm not getting rid of my magic." Magnus exclaimed.

"Its even not your magic." Marley face palmed. Then she sighed. "Daddy, you stopped breathing. Your heart stopped. I thought you were gone, i was very worried, I still am."

"I'm so sorry for scaring you. I was clearly adjusting to Lorenzo's magic, and I must have overextended myself. I promise I'll be more careful from now on." Magnus told her.

"It doesn't matter how careful you are. As long as you have Lorenzo's magic, you'll be living with an ax over your head." Marley was being serious.

Magnus sighed. "Oh, could you stop being so morbid?"

"Omg, dad, you are latterly a child right now." Marley looked at him. "Why can't you think of the family that we have now? But that magic isn't worth dying for, not when you have a grandson to watch grow up."

Magnus saw how serious she was and nodded. "Okay, you won't lose me, I want to watch my grandson grow up and everything that comes with it."

"Oh, thank god." Marley comment. "You have come to your senses." Then she gave him a bone crossing hug.

Not much later, Magnus was sitting on the bed, looking sad. Alec, Marley and Lorenzo were there. "Are you ready?"

"You understand once I take back my magic, that's it." Lorenzo looked at Magnus. "I cannot give you another transfusion."

Magnus nodded. "Just do it."

Lorenzo used his magic on Magnus to take back his magic. When it's done, Magnus almost fell over but Marley catches him. "Lorenzo, thank you."

"Yes, well… I hope you know this changes nothing. I'll be keeping the apartment." Lorenzo comment to Magnus.

Magnus looked at the family for him. "Oh, fine. I have everything I need right here." Then, Lorenzo leaves and Marley hugged her father.

Later, Alec was standing outside of the shop. He saw his mother inside, then je took a deep breath before he entered. "Hi."

"Alec. What a nice surprise!" Maryse exclaimed.

They hugged as Alec comment. "I thought I'd actually stop by and see the place. I'm proud of you."

Maryse smiled. "Thanks! It's really coming together, isn't it?"

"There's actually something I wanted to talk to you about." Alec replied to her.

Maryse frowned. "What is it?"

Then they sat down. "Um… Magnus had a little health scare. He's okay. Everything's fine. But, when it happened, it made me realize that I… can't live without Marley, cause after everything, when I come home and I see her with our son... She's my world."

"That's what love is. I'm so happy you two found each other." Maryse told him, smiling.

Alec nodded. "Me, too. And I need the family ring. I'm gonna ask Marley to marry me."

Maryse smiled, so did Alec. They rise and hugged.
