[Combination Jutsu: Earth Dome of Fiery Gale!]
Dio's face morphed into one of amazement as he watched a giant dome of earth consume Kars whole.
'Could it…? No. This is another world, it can't possibly be,' He shook his head and shelved the possibility before continuing to monitor the battle, worry laced on his face…
Meanwhile, Kars was enjoying the best tan of his life.
"Ah… I could get used to this!" Lying on the scorched ground, Kars had his eyes closed as he stretched himself in the dome's limited space and relaxed.
He had to admit, he was wary of the heat at first. If their poison could injure him, what's to say their fire won't too? Regretfully, it seems like the little girl was a one-trick-wonder, and her poison just happened to irritate an allergy of his.
"Hehehe, humans never cease to awe me with their resourcefulness!" He muttered cheerfully to himself as he carried himself back up. Looking around and the multiple licks of flame flying around aggressively, he shook his head lightly, "But alas, as long as you're powerful enough, tricks can only go so far,"
With that, he strengthened the muscles on his right hand until it was rigid, before striking at the earthen wall.
-Crack!-
Easily, he created a fist-sized hole in the ten millimetre thick wall. Pulling back slightly, he hardened his other arm and placed it inside the opening, mirroring his other arm as he gripped both sides of the hole. Taking a deep breath and plastering an arrogant smirk on his face, he ripped the entire thing apart!
-Boom!-
In an instant, the dome collapsed in on itself, and Kars was free to step out. Basking in the morning sun, he felt a cool sense of refreshment as the wind lightly prickled his skin.
"Is that all you have to offer, you pathetic bugs?" He sneered, "You've done nothing but delay the inevitable!"
'This is your cue, damn Dio. Can't have me killing people on a whim,'
"This is my cue; can't have him killing people on a whim, now can I?"
Konohamaru tilted his head to the side, his face a mixture of confusion and wonder, "W-What do you mean, D-Dio-san?"
There was a moment's silence where he noticed Dio flinching, but he soon forgot it when Dio answered.
"I need to save them," He declared, and despite their distance, Konohamaru could almost touch the aura of determination coursing through the man standing in front of him, "They'll never beat him; not in a million years,"
Konohamaru had stars in his eyes when he heard the vampire. And to him, Dio-san was no longer just his saviour… Dio-san was—
"S-Sugoiii..." He whispered to himself as he witnessed the ever-confident Dio approaching the battle. And for a moment, for a singular moment, time seemed to stop and all Konohamaru could think of… was becoming like Dio…
'Tch! So this is what those damn Joestars feel, huh?' Naturally, with his vampiric faculties, he could practically perceive the joy and hope emanating off of Konohamaru. Dio grinned at the thought, 'Yeah. Yeah I could get used to this,'
He had to admit: the rush of dopamine coursing through his body brought him to a new high, even higher than when his body absorbed Joseph's blood, and even higher when he became the—
-Bang!-
His thoughts were flung out of his head as he summoned The World to his side and parried the punch thrown at him before returning a few jabs himself, The World's fists jamming itself inside the assailant's side with a sickening thud. From his stand, Dio could feel bone crunching and muscles ripping under the force of its fist, the terrible sound audible to everyone present as his stand continued the onslaught of punches.
"Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Muda Mudaaaa!"
Time seemed to slow to a crawl as Dio crossed his arms, "Your struggle is..." A smug look on his face as The World wound itself up for one final punch, "Muda," With a crackle and pop, The World released all the pent up energy through its right fist, the extremity actually creating mini-explosions from how fast it travelled!
-BOOM!-
When The World's fist connected in a wild haymaker to the face, the inertia sending Kars flying deep into the forest and out of view from everyone….
'There. The bastard should be able to escape unnoticed. Now all that's left is to find Doppio and Kira...' He felt a headache coming on as he thought of those two. He still hadn't found them yet, and he really isn't ready to—
"—Heeey! Earth to weird guy!" He drew back unconsciously from the petite hand waving so close to his face.
Taking a step back to reassess the situation, Dio was floored to find three pairs of very curious and very excited eyes gawking at him, all at a very close distance…
"Hey! Are you in there?" The girl repeated herself as her friends tried to stop her from coming any closer to him, amusing Dio to no end.
"Tsuki! Don't do that! He could be dangerous!" The blond cautioned as he wrapped himself around her arm, "Tell her, Asubon!" He hollered at the other boy who was already dozing off a few metres away.
"Oh shush, Nissei," The girl named Tsuki rolled her eyes while she struggled to escape his grasp, but with the death grip he held her in, she soon gave up, "Look! He's not a bad guy! He beat that weird streaker for us too!"
At her prompting, the duo directed their attention to Dio once more.
He gave them a I-promise-I'm-not-a-murderer smile, because if you wanna make a good impression, ya hafta smile!
"...Hello,"
Yup! Totally not creepy at all!
The two freaked out. Why the hell does his smile look like he's never actually smiled before? Tsukiko and Nissei exchanged worried looks between one another, a covert conversation hidden just under the surface:
'Talk to him. You wanted to, right?'
'Not anymore! This guy looks like Orochimaru on a bad day!'
'Oh c'mon! He's not that bad,' The two cracked a peep at Dio, who flashed them his eerie smile again.
'Yup. He's Orochimaru on a bad day...'
'See! I ain't going, you do it. You're blond like him, so maybe he'll go easy on ya!'
'Eurgh… fine,' Sighing, Nissei turned to address Dio:
"U-Um..." He gulped just looking at him. I mean, who wears makeup in this weather?! "We'd like to ask you some questions, w-will that be okay?"
'Stupid! Don't ask him dammit! You're the authority figure, not the guy getting railed!' To his(and honestly everyone else's) relief, Dio readily nodded and gave him the signal to continue without any fuss.
'Okay! You can do this Nissei! Just pretend he's not a strong, buff, testosterone-filled blonde man that's basically you if you decided steroids were the way to go in life!'
He took a deep breath… and began, "Ahem! Who are you, and what village are you affiliated with?"
"Hidden Iron. I'm a ronin of the Joestar house; Dio is my name," Came the smooth reply that, despite the fellow looking nothing like a samurai of the land of Iron, was so calm and collected in his demeanor Nissei implicitly believed him.
"I see. And who was the strange streaker from a few moments ago? You two seem to one another,"
There was a pregnant pause in the air, where even the sleeping Asubon had woken up to eavesdrop on the interrogation. Finally, after what seemed like whole eternities of silence, Dio answered.
"He's a rival of mine. We served the same master until he died, now we go about looking for work across the elemental nations. He's been having bouts of madness after the death of our master, especially around noon, which was the time he perished," Dio sighed ruefully, and even with it being an obvious melodramatic retelling of the tale, the three couldn't help but feel a little bad for the guy.
"You have our condolences then, but that still doesn't excuse the fact that he tried to assault a citizen of Konoha. If you'd please help us bring him back to our village, we can promise you with a light slap on the wrist and nothing more. Then you'll be allowed free reign to do what you need,"
Dio seemed to consider it for a time, which wasn't odd when an abrupt choice was thrust upon you and it had to be decided in the immediate moments…
"That would be splendid," He agreed, much to the relief of Nissei and Tsukiko.
"Great! We can head ov—"
"But."
Nissei recoiled at the intrusion, and turned to look at Dio with a confused look hinted with a slight taste of reproach for his rude interruption.
"There are two others with me. We've been separated while I was looking for Kars; I hope you can extend your hospitality to them as well,"
He nodded, and after a cursory glance at Tsukiko who also gave her assent, Nissei smiled and replied:
"Of course, Dio-san. We welcome you and your comrades to Konohagakure, it's been a pleasure talking with you,"
"Likewise..."
Author's note: Yo, just makin this note to answer the questions in the reviews(I'm terribly late, and I apologize profusely). Firstly:
Not a simp: Lmao too :)
Klau: No. Dio, although much less trigger happy with the "muda human", is going to be travelling multiple worlds, and he's not going to bring anybody along. But I can promise you that the main cast(jojo villains) will be getting larger a few worlds later, so you don't have to worry about fresh blood.
Guest: Already have buckaroo, the ball's in your court now!
Guest: Diavolo is here, it's just that he's not needed currently
Hell Hari: I have; just been busy with life outside of maniacal laughing and binges of no-sleep writing.
Nocringeman: I thought so too, that's why I'm not dropping this thing(Unless I… y'know, kick the bucket).
Welp, that's about it, and I'd just like to add: thank you for the reviews, follows, favourites and even just views, it tells me there are people that like this stuff and unconsciously blackmails me into making more! So keep at it folks, and Ajax… out!
