A/N: Yo, this time, I'm switching up the format a little, with the whole chapter consisting of 4 diary excerpts(each maybe about 300 words long). Sorry if I get a few things wrong, I've never actually kept a diary before, and this was the best I could do after a few hours of research. September 30th,

Dear Diary,

Jeez, why the hell does gramps want me to do this anyway? Diaries are totally for girls!

Um… Hi… Diary? I don't really know how to start this… Oh whatever! I'll just say hello! What's the worst it can do?!

Okay… Yo Diary! My name's Naruto Uzumaki, and I wanna be the Hokage someday! no that's stupid… I'm thirteen, what about you? no no no, that's even stupider! just wanna say: I hope we can be good friends from now on!

…Um, so what now?

A-Ah, I'm sorry if I was supposed to say something, I've never really had any friends before you and this is the first time I've ever talked to someone who's willing to be one…

Hm? Gramps? Well I've never thought of him that way before… huh! I guess he is like a friend to me! Thanks Diary, you just doubled my friend count with a single word hehe!

Oh? I should tell you about my day at school?

Well… today was just like any other day, I think… Why don't we talk about something else?

What? I-I see…

I can tell ya a bit, but only a teensy weensy bit!

Iruka-sensei is Iruka-sensei… Teme is Teme… and everyone else is everyone else…

What? No, I don't want to tell anymore!

F-Fine! But only because I'm your friend…

They called me names at school: y'know, the usual 'monster', 'freak', 'murderer' bit.

Then? W-Well… I normally try to fight back, but the teachers would always single me out and punish me.

The bullies? They would typically get off scott-free, unless it's Iruka-sensei, he's fair and also goes after them!

And finally, at the end of the day, if they did get punished, the bullies would ambush me on the way home. I would escape though, so more often than not, they'd end up eating my dust!

It's unfair? M-Maybe, but I kinda deserve it, right? Everyone's been calling me monster lately, and if everyone agrees that I'm a monster, that means I am a monster… right?

What?! B-But then why do they keep calling me that then?! I-It hurts so bad… why can't they just be nice for once…

N-No! I can't! That will just make them even madder! All I can hope for is for them to leave me alone…

You know what Diary? You are right! This is my personal diary! I'll say what I want even if they don't like it! What are they going to do, steal it? Hah! They don't even want to come close to my house!

Hm? It's past my bedtime? But I don't wanna!

October 2nd

Dear Diary,

I just met the coolest guy ever! Wait no, group of guys ever! They were sooooo different from everyone else, just like me and they were all so friendly too! First, they helped me against a bully, then they bought me ramen, then we hung out throwing kunai at trees before they—

Their names? Ah! I totally forgot about that! Lemme see…

Okay, so first off is my favourite! He's big they're all really big and blonde and is a really really good cook! His name is drumroll please… Dio! Actually, Dio-san was the first one I met, and it was only later in the day did he bring his friends along.

Next is Kars-san! He's big. Even bigger than Dio-san, and even if he acts like he doesn't care about you and stuff, I could tell he was a giant softie on the inside! He also has this beautiful purple hair that I swear turned to snakes one time when no one was looking!

Then there was Doppio-san; he looks really young even though he's already in his 20s, but don't let that fool you, he's actually very clever! At first, I thought he was Kars-san's son, but apparently, they're just friends! He's kinda weird though, one time when he thought no one was looking, I saw him holding a frog to his ears. I dunno what he was doing with it, but he didn't take too long so I just pretended not to notice.

Finally, there's Kira-san, who I haven't actually met yet. They said he was really hurt and had to be put in the hospital. I do hope he's okay, but they said there was nothing to worry about and I'll be able to see him after tomorrow, so at least there's that!

But but but! Dio-san said we're going to surprise Kira-san when he gets out of the hospital, and that it's going to make him so happy he might actually faint!

What is it? Um… well… he told me that I needed to keep it a secret from everyone, and I already promised I did.

Sorry…

Really? You're the best, Diary!

Anyways, I gotta go to sleep now, I hope you won't mind, and goodnight!

October 4th,

Dear Diary,

I knew it! Kira-san was totally shocked when he saw me in makeup and a black version of my normal clothes Dio-san helped dye it black! And even if he didn't faint like Kars-san said he would, he was still pretty surprised!

But today wasn't all good… Y'see, today, I finally graduated from the academy. Normally, I'd be celebrating like no tomorrow, but when I saw my teammates and teacher, I thought I was going to faint!

Y'see, I teamed up with SASUKE…

Whaddya mean what's wrong with him?! He's SASUKE! Snobbish, arrogant, and Sakura-chan's crush a total edgelord! And if he isn't bad enough, just get a load of my sensei!

Kakashi-sensei! Never heard o'im? I'm not surprised, me neither!

Eh? The purpose of shinobi is to be hidden and secretive in the first place?

PSHHHH! Hahahaha! Diary, you're so funny! Of course not; the job of a shinobi is to be cool and awesome! And only the coolest and awesome-est shinobi get to be Hokage! Heh, and since I'm already so cool and awesome, it'll be a piece o' cake for me to be one!

Still, if only my sensei was cooler, I'd have a WAY easier time becoming Hokage…

Well, ya win some ya lose some, right? But hey! At least I'm teaming up with Sakura too, so at the very least, she cancels out Teme and his dumb and stupid and dumb edginess!

Um, what else is there to write…Oh! Doppio-san was acting even weirder today, and this time, Kars-san saw it too. But what's strange is he didn't seem to care, even when Doppio's arms started to grow larger! can they even do that?

He just told me it's one of his quirks, like how Dio-san is a clean freak or Kira-san being weirdly obsessed with buying used gloves.

…Soooo, yeah! That's about it, I guess. Ya know, for me being an official genin now, there's not really much to do since school isn't a thing anymore. Huh. it's boring when you don't have anyone to chase you after school… Almost makes me miss the idiots…

October 10th,

Dear Diary,

Guess what? Today's my birthday! Gramps and Kira-san and Dio-san and Doppio-san and Kars-san were all at my house to celebrate! Dio-san was really nice and made a cake, while everybody else got me presents! Oh, and I got free ramen from Teuchi-san too!

What were the presents?

Hmm… How 'bout this? Let's play a game: I tell you the gifts and you try to guess who it belongs to, 'kay?

Ok. 3… 2...1… Go!

The first gift I got was a little plushie! It was in the shape of an adorable pink cat! Can ya guess who it belonged to?

Bzzzt! Nope! It was Kira-san the whole time! Yeah, apparently, he has a pet cat at home that looked exactly like that. I don't really believe him though. I mean, who has a cat with abs?

My next gift should be VERY obvious, but ya got the last one wrong, so who knows? The gift I got was a beautiful gem called the 'red stone of Aja'. It's about the size of a pebble, and there's this really cool thing where if ya shine a light through it, it becomes a laser beam!

Bzzzzzzt! Wrong again! Wow, you're really bad at this, huh Diary? Well, for your information, that was Kars' gift! He said it was worth a lot and that I should keep it safe with me, so now I always have it around my neck!

The next one should've been Dio, but he was too busy baking my cake to get me anything. Still, cake is awesome so I'll forgive him! I dunno anything about baking, but when I saw the cake, I knew he probably had to spend SO much time preparing it!

Because of that, the only one left is Doppio, so ya don't need to guess anymore. He actually gave me…Wait for it… the locket I use to keep the red stone of Aja in, saying it'll help me keep better track of it. I dunno what's so important about the stone, but since everyone tells me to keep it safe, I guess I'll do it for them!

Oh! Oh! Oh! I'll also be going on a mission with my squad to the land of the waves! Apparently, we've been hired to protect some old bridge builder from bandits and criminals. To be honest, I have no idea why he's so cautious, but a mission's a mission I guess.

I have to go now, Diary! I have to sleep early tonight so I can wake up early tomorrow! Seeya!
