Welcome back to Injustice Dragons Among Us 2. Last time the invasion began, but thankfully Flash intervened, and he's not the only one joining the alliance. Captain Cold was revealed to be a spy in the Society for Lex Luthor, Deadshot was freed from the nano-bomb in his head, and even Hal Jordan turned up, admittedly as a Red Lantern, but he came back around with help from Flash. So, what awaits as the invasion continues? Read on to discover...
(Our story resumes in what looks like a hangar, where Batgirl, Red Hood, and the Atom appear to be eyeing Batman suspiciously as Spyro, Cynder, Lex Luthor, Flash, Captain Cold, Deadshot and Hal Jordan walk in, the last on that list catching everyone off guard)
Red Hood: What on earth is he doing here?l
Hal Jordan: Trying to make amends.
Flash: Long story short, he's on our side again.
Batman: (Finally seeing Hal Jordan) Not a chance.
Hal Jordan: Based on the circumstances, you could use some help.
Batman: Not yours.
Lex Luthor: Even I think that's being a bit unfair. You gave Barry another chance.
Batman: Because he got his head on straight and helped us take down Clark. If Superman we're still in charge, this guy would still be in Yellow
Spyro: Do you even hear yourself Bruce? Firstly, you didn't take down Superman. We did.
Hal Jordan: Look. I'm not that guy anymore.
Batman: Since you're in Red now, I'd argue your worse than that guy.
?: That's quite enough.
(And just as the argument is about to begin, Supergirl enters the room, floating down and stepping between Batman and Hal Jordan)
Lex Luthor: Kara, where were you?
Supergirl: Trying to get around Brainiac's army. It's scary the second time around.
Cynder: You must be Kara Zor-El. Nice to finally meet you.
Supergirl: The feeling's mutual.
Batman: You must be kidding me. Another Kryptonian? Brainiac's already tearing the Earth apart to find Clark...
Supergirl: Which is why we're going to need more help than what's here.
?: Will we be enough then?
(Catching everybody by surprise, Catwoman walks in with Harley Quinn)
Spyro: Finally came to your senses, eh Selina?
Catwoman: I was always on the good side.
Batman: She was working for me.
Cynder: I should've known. You two are two peas in a pod. Though I should thank you for reaching Harley
Harley Quinn: I should've figured she was working for Batman in retrospect.
Lex Luthor: If she's not enough, I've already put calls in to Blue Beetle and Firestorm. They'll be on the way soon enough.
(And just like that, Blue Beetle and Firestorm enter the scene)
Blue Beetle: Somebody call us?
Batman: Color me doubtful that this group is going to be enough.
Lex Luthor: We've got some of the best this world's best in this room right now. Not to mention two of the dragons that stopped the Regime the first time. And we've even got you here.
Batman: Still...
Spyro: Bruce, enough with the paranoia. We need to band together and take down Brainiac.
Cynder: And we can't do that if you're not going to be able to widen your circle of trust.
(At this moment, Batman realizes he's outnumbered here and begrudgingly decides to relent.)
Batman: Perhaps you're right.
Lex Luthor: Then we're going to need some more power behind our little circle of trust.
Supergirl: I'd recommend we talk to Kal.
Batman: Not happening.
Lex Luthor: We already agreed that Superman would be our last resort.
Supergirl: Hmm... I'm thinking that's a resort we may need to take up.
Lex Luthor: Perhaps not, if my current idea works.
Spyro: Who did you have in mind?
Lex Luthor: Aquaman and his forces.
Batman: For once I agree.
Flash: Is that going to work? He's kind of been off radar since the Regime fell.
Hal Jordan: If I may have a word?
Lex Luthor: Well, speak up Jordan.
Hal Jordan: Arthur didn't like getting roped into the Regime by Superman. Not too sure he'd like working with another Kryptonian.
Supergirl: That's why I'm not going to recruit Aquaman. You will.
Hal Jordan: He's not more likely to be happy to see me as opposed to you.
Batman: You'll need to get used to that.
Cynder: And besides, you'll be working with us.
Lex Luthor: Meanwhile the rest of us will start working on the rest of the plan.
Batman: Namely retaking Brother Eye.
Lex Luthor: If it can be retaken, that is. Be prepared to destroy it if we must.
Spyro: We'll focus on that later. Right now we need to head to Atlantis if we're going to convince Aquaman to join us.
Hal Jordan: Right. Let's go.
(And as the three of them take off, we end our tale for today)
And that looks like a good spot to end for today. Truth be told, this chapter was meant to include the cutscenes revealing Catwoman as Batman's spy in the Society, as well as the ending meeting with Hal Jordan. We'll see what goes on in Atlantis next time. So it looks like Batman is about to widen his circle of trust with help from Lex Luthor and company.
