Welcome back to Injustice Dragons Among Us 2. Last time, something unthinkable happened: Batman, Lex Luthor, and Superman's factions agreed to work together to stop Brainiac. First stop on the plan, having Cyborg take back control of Brother Eye. Spyro, Catwoman and Harley Quinn will be accompanying him as well. But it seems Batman and Firestorm have something happening in the background. More on that later. So, how goes the mission to the Batcave? Read on to discover...

Spyro's Log

This is unbelievable. I'm actually working with members of the One Earth Regime. And not just some last minute recruits from a dying war, this is Cyborg, one of the die-hards! But this is the only way we're going to save this world, and by extension the only way Cynder and I will get home. So, here goes everything.

(Our story resumes outside Arkham Asylum, where Cyborg has just boom tubed in himself, Catwoman, Spyro, and Harley Quinn.)

Spyro: Not going to lie, this place still gives me the creeps.

Cyborg: For once, we agree on something.

Catwoman: The entrance is this way.

(But just as the group starts moving in the right direction, a cloud of pink smoke starts to seep onto the stage)

Cyborg: (Recognizing what it is immediately) Pheromones!

Spyro: Looks like Poison Ivy's in the area.

(While Spyro and Cyborg start blowing away the pheromone cloud, Harley Quinn starts to succumb to their effects, collapsing right into the arms of the waiting Poison Ivy before Catwoman can stop her)

Poison Ivy: Sweet, sweet Harley. This time you'll be a good girl, won't you?

(And with that, Poison Ivy releases Harley Quinn, but this time, something's off about her, she's clearly under Ivy's control)

Harley Quinn: (In a strange, mind-controlled tone) How about a nice game of Eeny Meeny Miney MURDER!

(Catwoman looks like she has a plan of attack, but Ivy grabs her with a vine before she can give it, leaving Spyro and Cyborg fighting Harley Quinn)

Cyborg: Looks like Selina could use a hand.

Spyro: Like hell I'm letting you face Harley alone, you'll just kill her.

(Now the unlikely alliance of Spyro and Cyborg does battle against the brainwashed Harley Quinn, Cyborg strikes to kill, but Spyro deflects the deathblows, and ultimately Harley Quinn is knocked unconscious as Catwoman jumps back into the scene, stopping a final attempt at a sonic blast from Cyborg)

Catwoman: Harley better be breathing.

Spyro: I can make sure of that.

Poison Ivy: (Slinking back into the scene) You know, Arkham gave us so many memories, Selina. Bewitching the guards, late night poker games, mandatory shock therapy. Oh that's right, you weren't there. Thanks to your billionaire boy-toy.

(At this point, Harley Quinn seems to startle back to life, but she seems to be having a seizure or something)

Poison Ivy: Poor Harley smelled the wrong roses, and now she's going into shock. Farewell, baby doll.

Spyro: Cyborg, make sure Harley survives this. (Punching his other claw) Selina and I'll handle Ivy.

(Hesitantly, Cyborg rushes to Harley Quinn's aid while Spyro and Catwoman prepare to take down Poison Ivy.)

Spyro: Just when I thought you couldn't sink any lower, Pamela. Harley was your best friend, she loved you!

Poison Ivy: The only friend I have left is The Green.

(This clearly infuriates Spyro, and Catwoman, to no end, as within minutes, the two have turned Poison Ivy from green to black and blue.)

Spyro: The Green is no friend of yours.

(As all of this was going on, Cyborg has been trying everything to save Harley Quinn, but to no avail.)

Catwoman: How's she doing?

Cyborg: I've tried every trick I've got, but nothing's working.

Spyro: You can turn your hands into a defibrillator and it's not working?

Cyborg: The charge in those things isn't what it used to be.

Spyro: Screw your excuses, leave this to me.

(With that, Spyro charges up a bolt of Electricity, and sends it coursing through Harley Quinn, miraculously restarting her heart)

Spyro: (Feeling a pulse) She'll live.

(Fast forward what is probably a few hours, and we're down in the tunnels beneath Arkham Asylum, heading towards the Batcave)

Harley Quinn: You think we'll run into Dinah and Ollie once we get up to Brainiac?

Spyro: I certainly hope so.

Cyborg: Please, from what I've seen, they're probably already dead.

Harley Quinn: Now why you gotta go and say that?

Cyborg: It's Brainaic's whole modus. He collects the best, discards the rest. And those two? Certainly not the best.

Spyro: I'd take them any day to working with you, Cyborg.

Catwoman: Ditto for me. (Seeing what's up ahead) Here we are.

(And with that, we see what looks like a solid brick wall. But this is Batman we're talking about, this obviously isn't a real wall. And sure enough, Catwoman manages to find the trick bricks that open the door, revealing the Batcave to the group.)

Catwoman: Harley, stay out here and watch our backs.

(As Harley Quinn takes up a sentry position outside, the rest of the group enters)

Catwoman: It's too quiet in here.

(As if getting the cue, Cyborg pulls up his radar, and gets a hit that clearly isn't one of them)

Cyborg: Bogeys, and they certainly aren't bats.

?: Indeed. It is something much scarier.

(And that's when Bane shows up, having apparently been sent here by the Society to guard the captured Batcave.)

Bane: I had warned Grodd you were still loyal to the Bat, Selina. And he called me paranoid. But at least he listened when I said the Bat would not relinquish his cave so easily. (Seeing Cyborg) Cyborg, my old comrade.

Cyborg: I was never down with Superman recruiting criminals to the Regime. That was his call.

Bane: Well, now we are both considered criminals. So what is the difference between us?

(And now the battle begins, Cyborg has a clear technological advantage over Bane, but with some help from Spyro and Catwoman, the man who broke the Bat is down on the mat quicker than you can say Pena Dura)

Cyborg: I'm still standing, that's what.

Catwoman: Now that he's out of the way, ready to meet Brother Eye?

Cyborg: I'd say it's about damn time.

Spyro: Good, then let's get to work.

(With that, the three approach the now Brainiac commanded computer system.)

Cyborg: System looks like it's still running. We're going to need to get a clean power source. Something Brainiac can't touch.

Catwoman: What about the cave's backup generators?

Cyborg: That should work.

(But as they're about to get started, Brother Eye activates, revealing Brainiac)

Brainiac: Victor Stone, the pinnacle of human evolution.

Spyro: Looks like you've got a stalker.

Brainiac: Your humanity is the sole inhibitor on your true potential. It must be purged.

Cyborg: One problem with your little idea there. I'm a team player, firmly on Team Humanity.

Brainaic: You are capable of so much more. Allow me to show you.

(With that, Brainiac zaps Cyborg with some sort of beam from his projected eye, somehow causing Cyborg's cybernetics to go slightly haywire, and before anyone realizes it, whatever Brainiac did has spawned a fully robotic duplicate of Cyborg.)

Grid: Grid, online.

Spyro: What the heck am I looking at?

Grid: I am Victor Stone's vast memory and intellect, liberated from the weaknesses of flesh and emotions.

Cyborg: As well as from my good looks and charm apparently.

Spyro: You two get the backup generators going, I'll take out the robot.

Catwoman: Backup generators are this way.

(With that, Cyborg and Catwoman run off down a tunnel while Spyro stares down Grid)

Grid: You are not of this Earth, yet my data banks show detailed files on you, Spyro the Dragon. Including the most efficient way to kill you.

Spyro: Newsflash, tin man. I'm an apex predator. Time to show you what that means.

(Grid is probably the toughest fight Spyro's had yet. Cyborg really did have intense amounts of data on Spyro and dragons like him, probably from his encounter with Flame five years ago. But thankfully, most of the data is theoretical, and thus useless against Spyro, who has Grid reduced to scrap in a matter of seconds)

Spyro: Better not give Cyborg the results of this experiment.

(And just as he says that, Cyborg and Catwoman come running back into the room)

Cyborg: (Seeing Grid is now a pile of scrap) Wow. You really did a number on my duplicate.

Spyro: Let's just focus on getting Brother Eye back.

Cyborg: Right.

(With that, the group sets straight to work, Cyborg jacking in to Brother Eye to attempt to bring it back to the fold, much to Brainiac's displeasure)

Brainiac: No human, not even you, can attempt to control my neural network.

Cyborg: Who said that's what I was trying to do? (To Spyro) Could use a little help here.

Spyro: Brace for a supercharge.

(With that, Spyro lets loose a flow of Aether into Cyborg, giving him the power boost necessary to get into Brother Eye)

Cyborg: Just teaching Brother Eye to ignore you.

Brainiac: (As the transmission breaks up) This minor victory will not save you.

(And just like that, Brother Eye is free of Brainiac's control)

Brother Eye: Brother Eye is online.

Spyro: Well, that went better than I anticipated.

Cyborg: What was that stuff anyways?

Spyro: Trade secret. Don't push it.

Catwoman: Either way, it's good to see you back, Brother Eye.

Brother Eye: Thank you, Ms. Kyle. (Sensing Cyborg's presence) Warning! Victor Stone has infiltrated the Batcave! Deploying countermeasures!

Catwoman: Defense system override: Authorization LK-4D4.

Brother Eye: (Recognizing the code) System Administrator Selina Kyle. Retinal Scan Verification required. (Scans her retina, finding a match) Identity confirmed, standing down.

Catwoman: Alright, bring geo-sync comms online.

Batman: (Over a bluetooth link to Brother Eye) Nice work. Brother Eye, broadcast this message on the old Justice League band.

Brother Eye: Broadcasting.

Batman: Spyro, take it from here.

Spyro: Alright, if Kara's calculations hold true, we've got an hour to evacuate Brainiac's target cities before going after the fleet. So we can't waste a minute. Get ready to mobilize. We're on our way back.

(And with that, the trio exit the Batcave as our story ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to wrap up. Only a few chapters left to go on this story. And I've been keeping track of the ending polls. The results are shaping up to be interesting. So which ending is winning? I'll not tell here. You'll have to see in a couple of weeks when we get to them. So, now that the comm system is back up, what's the next move? Tune in next time to find out! Same time... same channel!
