Later that same day, Leon was getting ready to leave the hotel to meet up with a taxi that would take him to the Saddledome. Before leaving the hotel room, he told Sharon who was in the bathroom getting ready that he was leaving and not to forget to contact the limo driver. Once the reminder was taken care of, Leon didn't have to wait long for a taxi to show up because a taxi was parked outside of the hotel entrance.
Upon sitting in the taxi is when Leon gave the driver the fare. The traffic from the hotel to the Saddledome was very light so that meant Leon got there on decent timing. By the time he entered the Saddledome, Leon noticed that Bret and Bruce were there waiting for his arrival.
"Hey there, Leon. We almost thought you wouldn't make it?" Bruce stated once Leon walked up to where he and Bret were standing.
"Well, I had some good convincing to steer my mind around about participating in this Q and A, Bruce." Leon answered in a calm manner.
"I see. So how did your visit at Owen's gravesite turn out yesterday?" Bret asked out of curiosity.
"Well, I paid my deepest respects to him and thanked him for everything that he did for me. Also, I told him about the recent changes I went through and knowing him he would have been proud of me. Then as I was about to leave, I got to reunite with Nicole's mother." Leon said with a smile on his face.
"Wait a minute, you mean Sharon's alive, Leon. That's good to know. So, how did she know to find you guys?" Bret said in response.
"Her older sister told me that Sharon was still alive after everything which had transpired a few years ago and probably knew from that time I took her down here personally that this would be my second oasis from home." Leon stated in an honest tone.
"Hmm...interesting. So, now that she's back in your life and such, Leon. Have you thought about asking her out?" Bruce said while looking at Leon directly.
"As a matter of fact, Bruce. Since you've brought that up well after Sharon explained the circumstances why she didn't appear for many years until now and apologized to me for it. That is when I knew that she changed a little bit from the person I tried to fall in love with long ago. So, we ended up talking for a while mostly about my daughter, family, and post-retirement stuff. Then early this morning I couldn't sleep for the life of me thinking that I was starting to have these feelings for Sharon all over again and it turned out that she felt the same way about me. So, she winds up confessing to me in the hotel lobby with no one else around and that's when I realized that she was right about me all along." Leon answered in a honest tone.
"Wow, very intriguing story there, Leon. So, do you want to go see where the panel is being set up since we've got an hour before the Q and A starts?" Bret asked.
"Sure, try to see it before the fans do." Leon said before following Bret and Bruce into the main arena portion of the Saddledome.
Meanwhile back at the hotel, Nicole was all ready to go but now had to do was wait on her mother to put on a few things before they could leave the hotel room. A couple of minutes had passed by and Sharon got out of the bathroom already to go; Nicole was amazed on how beautiful her mother looked.
"Nicole, sweetheart. You want me to straighten to your hair quick? We got a little time left before the limo is supposed to come." Sharon asked upon looking at Nicole's hair.
"Yeah, Mommy. I want to look beautiful as you." Nicole answered with a smile on her face.
"Ok and thank you for the compliment." Sharon said while getting the hair straightener.
Then Sharon began to straighten Nicole's hair which didn't take long and by the time it was done they were both impressed with the results. Once Sharon put away the hair straightener is when she and Nicole went down to the hotel lobby to wait on the limo. However, Nicole noticed that the Louds weren't down yet and she noticed the limo was about to pull into the hotel parking lot. Before Nicole or Sharon could say anything about the situation at hand, the Louds eventually showed up at the hotel lobby. It was in that moment when Rita introduced Sharon to the rest of her family, and they all proceeded to head into the limo.
On the way to the Saddledome is when Sharon started to get acquainted with the Louds while Nicole was admiring her new hairdo. By the time the limo had reached the Saddledome, Sharon, Nicole, and the Louds got out to see that there was a line to get inside. "Hmm...no wonder why Leon wanted us to show up early." Sharon thought to herself upon seeing the line outside of the Saddledome.
Once the line had dwindled down and it was Sharon, Nicole, and the Louds' to enter the Saddledome; the person that oversaw admission fees noticed the names after they showed identification and told them that their way in was already paid for. Nicole and the Louds were a bit puzzled by this while the admissions guy was giving them their badges. However, to Sharon this didn't come too much as of a mere surprise after receiving her badge. Then another staff member escorted Sharon and the crew to the arena where the Q and A was being held and told them which seats were available to sit at.
Upon finding a row of seats to sit at is when Sharon, Nicole and the Louds got to unwind before the event began which was twenty minutes beforehand. Then Nicole noticed Leon was walking up on the stage with Bret and Bruce in which she nudged her mother to look at the sight. Once Sharon looked at the same sight Nicole did, she had a big smile on her face.
Then it came time for Q and A to begin, which started with introductions of those on stage and their credentials. It was a huge pop for each of the introductions. There were about five hundred fans in attendance for the event which surrounded Sharon, Nicole, and the Louds who were in the third front row on the far-right side.
The moderator for the event then opened the floor of fans to ask questions once Leon's introduction was over with.
"This question is for the Brute. What matches you watched were your all-time favorites?" A fan in one of the middle rows asked.
"Hmm...good question. My favorite matches that I have watched and even analyzed while I was training to be a wrestler would have to be Bret's bouts with Owen in WrestleMania X and Summerslam 94, and Intercontential Championship matches that happened at WrestleMania III and VIII." Leon answered with a calm tone.
Then a couple of fans took turns asking questions towards Bret and Bruce. While hearing their responses, Leon took a sip of water.
"I have a question for the Brute. I've heard for a while now that you were very skeptical about the British Bulldog's returning to the WWE in '99. Was this true?" A fan in the second asked.
"Well, this was right around the time I had come back from my leave after the Owen tragedy. So, when I heard that Davey Boy was coming back that year well yes I had been very skeptical about it. After he had left due to what happened with Bret and followed him to WCW, well I knew where his allegiance was to the family at the time. Then when he had that incident with the painkillers due to his back injury he sustained at WCW, I knew he wasn't the same person. So basically, I was just like how Bret was when he found out about Davey's decision and wrote it in the Calgary Sun if you guys remember that." Leon answered honestly.
Then Leon took a few sips of his water while a fan asked a question to Bret.
"The Brute. Out of all the current superstars in the WWE, who do you think has the it factors?" A fan in the front row ask.
"Hmmm...I would have to say Seth Rollins for the males, and the females well that's a tough one to answer since that division is rapidly evolving each week." Leon answered.
Before the fans could say any more questions, the moderator mentioned that Leon, Bret, and Bruce only have time left for one more round of questions. So, the fans decided to ask Bret and Bruce prospective questions with the moderator's message in mind.
"My question for the Brute is. Besides the heel turn here at Canadian Stampede in '97, what was a good moment involving you with the Hart family whom you credit for training you as a wrestler?" A fan in the second row asked.
"Being involved in Bret's match with Mr. McMahon at WrestleMania 26. It was one of those moments that had been planned for months and knew that was the only way to get me out of being the company's scapegoat which loomed over me since the Montreal incident." Leon answered with honesty.
Then the moderator wrapped up the Q and A event but not before mentioning that fans can get autographs with Leon, Bret, and Bruce in a single line on the stage. Sharon, Nicole, and the Louds decided to step outside of the Saddledome and found a bench for the children to sit on.
"How long will it be before Daddy comes out?" Nicole asked out of curiosity.
"Well, sweetheart. It could be a little while until he comes because autographs after these kinds of things take a long time." Sharon answered with a sigh.
"You've been to these kinds of events before, Sharon." Rita said upon overhearing the conversation.
"Yes, your brother took me to a couple of them and they were hectic unlike this one here today. I mean there was one Q and A event where he had to restrain a friend of his because a fan had gotten out of control." Sharon said in a calm manner.
After Sharon said that statement, she notices Leon coming out of the Saddledome and walking into the direction of where she, Nicole and the Louds were. That is when they all decided to greet Leon before saying anything.
"Are you mad at us for stepping out here earlier than expected, Leon?" Sharon asked out of concern.
"No, to be honest with you there were less people wanting autographs than usual. So, you guys did the right thing." Leon said with a smile on his face.
"You did great out there, Daddy. I learned a lot from that event." Nicole said with a smile.
"We certainly learned a thing or two as well, Uncle Leon." The Loud Children said in unison.
"Same goes for us." Rita and Lynn Sr. said.
"Thank you, guys. I appreciate it." Leon said with a smile on his face.
Then Nicole, Rita, Lynn Sr., and most of the Loud Children except Lori went inside the limo. However, this raised a bit of concern for Leon and signaled for Sharon to go on ahead that he and Lori will catch up.
"What's wrong, Lori?" Leon asked out of concern.
"Oh, it's the reality starting to sink in that I'm about to graduate from high school and head off to the university that I've dreamed about going. At the same time though, I feel sad since I am going to miss all my friends and family. What should I do, Uncle Leon?" Lori said in a gloomy tone.
"Appreciate all the time you have now and savor every moment that you make. Also, you will always have your friends and family to support you just through a phone call. Remember that, ok. Why not bring back a souvenir to show your friends?" Leon answered with an encouraging tone.
"Yeah, you're right, Uncle Leon. Thank you for helping me out." Lori said with a regained smile.
Leon nodded his head before stepping into the passenger's side of the limo. Lori then went into the back of the limo where the others were at. On the ride back to the hotel, everyone was back to their cheerful selves mainly Lori. It was then that she whispered to Rita about the talk she had with Leon.
Once the limo dropped everyone off at the hotel, most of the group went to their perspective hotel rooms except for Leon, Sharon, Nicole, and Rita.
"Is there something you want to talk about, Sis?" Leon asked out of curiosity.
"Well..." Rita answered with hesitation.
"Sharon, can you and Nicole go up to the hotel room? I'll catch up." Leon said upon realizing what was going on.
"Yes, Leon. Come along, Nicole, sweetheart." Sharon said upon accepting Leon's request.
Sharon and Nicole then walked into the direction of the elevators trying to head back to the hotel room. Leon looked at Rita with a calm look on his face once no one was around.
"Ok, Sis. What is it?" Leon asked in a calm manner.
"Well Lori told me what you guys talked about earlier and I want to say thank you for cheering her up, Leon. I've noticed recently that she's been anxious about following all the expectations as a high school senior before she graduates. I mean she wanted to try to achieve all of them but as we both know we never did that when we were her age. So, I tried to give her advice, but I didn't know that she was still depressed about it." Rita answered honestly.
"I understand, Sis. But don't be hard on yourself, you did the best thing that anyone could do in a situation like this. Besides as we both know this is only just the beginning of times where we must face these kinds of situations. I mean let's not forget the rest of your children will go through this one day and then I will too with Nicole." Leon said while looking down at the floor.
"You're right, Leon." Rita said.
Leon looked up at the clock that was hanging above the hotel entrance doors and realized that he needed to head up to his hotel room. Rita took notice of this and started to head back to her hotel room. However, before they could hit the button to access an elevator, Leon and Rita notice that one of the elevators was opening which had a person coming out of it being Sharon.
"This is good timing, Sharon. I was about to head back up to the room. So, umm...what do you want to do?" Leon said with his hand behind his back.
"Are you asking me on a date, Leon? I'd love to. Well I was thinking of...wait a minute is your sister crying. Oh, you haven't told her yet." Sharon answered before noticing Rita's facial reaction to the conversation.
"Didn't tell me what?" Rita asked while wiping off tears in her eyes.
"Ok, here it goes. Early this morning I had gotten up to sit at the lobby here since I couldn't go back to sleep and a few minutes passed before Sharon found me there to keep company. So, we wounded up talking for a while to catch up on everything and came to realize that we both fell in love with each other again. After a strong love confession is when I knew right then and there that we were back together. We'll be the ones to tell Nicole once we return." Leon answered in an honest tone.
"I figured as much based on the way Sharon was acting when people mentioned your name throughout the day. I'm just glad and happy for the both of you." Rita said before stepping on the elevator.
"Thank you, Sis. By the way, Sharon, which room did our daughter go to before you left the room?" Leon asked out of curiosity.
"I think Nicole went to the room where your niece Luna was staying in." Sharon answered in a calm tone.
"Ok, she's a good person that will keep an eye on Nicole while we're out." Leon said with a sigh.
Then Leon and Sharon proceeded to leave the hotel and decided to walk around Calgary a bit. Part way through the walk is when the couple decided to hold hands and had huge smiles on their faces. Leon looked at Sharon which caught her off guard and made her blush for a few seconds.
"You look very beautiful, Sharon." Leon said with a smile on his face.
"Why...thank you, Leon." Sharon responded which made her heart flutter.
"Hmm...that Italian place looks open. Want to eat there?" Leon asked as he pointed out an Italian restaurant.
"Sure, Leon." Sharon answered before she and Leon crossed the street to venture into the Italian restaurant.
Upon entering the Italian restaurant and placing their order, Leon and Sharon decided to look out at the view of Calgary for a moment before looking directly at each other.
"I did Nicole's hair the same way as mine if you noticed it, Leon." Sharon said in a calm manner.
"Yes, I did, and it was wonderful. Also, thank you for showing up at the Q and A today. I mean some of those questions were fair to be honest except that one about the Bulldog, you know." Leon said in a calm manner.
"Yes, I sort of noticed when that fan did ask you that question you were tense about it since your feelings about that situation was different compared to Bret and his siblings'. I'm glad that you calmly answered the question in a way no to peeve off the fan who might have read some rumor from the Internet like you've told me where some of these fans get their questions from." Sharon said while putting her hands-on top of Leon's.
"Yeah, and top of the fact all of those tales I might have told you where I've had buddies get into altercations at things like Q and A's like roasting events due to people not having common sense. I'm super glad we did not get one of those today." Leon said with a sigh.
"That's true, Leon. But look on the bright side we go back home tomorrow and that's something to look forward too. Isn't it?" Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"It sure is. Speaking of that I was going to ask you something." Leon said while his and Sharon's order was placed in front of them.
"Yes, what is it, Leon?" Sharon asked after taking a bite of her dinner.
"I was wondering. Would you want to stop by to visit your parents and Karen once we get back to the States tomorrow or wait until the following day?" Leon answered after eating a bite of his dinner.
"Hmm...well it depends on how exhausted we are from the traveling tomorrow and if they're going to be at home. But we can give it a shot and if not then wait a couple of days after we rest before trying again." Sharon answered with a smile on her face.
"That's true. Do they even know that we're back together? Meaning your mom and dad." Leon stated after taking his fifth bite of dinner.
"Well I had told Karen a couple of hours ago and she was proud to hear the news and that she would notify my parents when she saw them in a short while. Speaking of which." Sharon answered honestly before hearing a vibrating sound coming from her pocket.
Sharon pulled out her cell phone from her pocket to see that she got a message from her mother. "Sharon, sweetie, your sister told us that you and Leon are back together. Me and your father are happy for you both and tell Leon we send best regards as always." The message from Sharon's mother stated. "Thanks, Mom. I'll tell him. Are you and Dad going to be home later tomorrow?" Sharon replied. "We should be, sweetie. Why do you ask?" Sharon's mother replied. "Well me, Leon, and Nicole might be planning on coming over to stop by for a visit since the three of us are planning to be leaving Canada early tomorrow morning." Sharon replied. "Sounds good. Your father will love to hear that. See you then. Love you." Sharon's mom replied.
"Sorry about that Leon. I ended up messaging back and forth to my mom for a while. She and my dad send their regards to you." Sharon said in a calm manner.
"So, what did she have to say about us visiting over there tomorrow?" Leon asked out of curiosity.
"She said it was totally fine for us to stop by. Also, she and my dad had just found out about us like I told you via Karen. They weren't mad just happy about it." Sharon answered with a smile once she got to her last bite of her dinner.
That put a smile on Leon's face after he finished taking his last bite of his dinner. Leon and Sharon proceeded to leave the restaurant to walk back towards the hotel instead they decided to take a longer way to get there. Part way through the walk back to the hotel, Leon and Sharon decided to sit down at a nearby bench.
"You think we should Nicole once we get back to the hotel, Leon?" Sharon asked out of curiosity.
"Yes, Sharon. I mean she's our daughter and she have the right to know that we're back together. The main thing that the both of us want to see is for her to be happy and those were the final words my father said to me right before he died in my arms." Leon answered in a honest tone.
"Oh, Leon. I'm sorry if I got you upset." Sharon said in a sympathetic tone.
"It's ok, Sharon. But you're right though, you know." Leon said as he got up from the bench and rubbed on Sharon's hair.
Then Sharon and Leon finished their walk back to the hotel to find that Luna and Nicole were in the hotel lobby eating ice cream. Once Luna saw Leon and Sharon enter the lobby is when she headed back to her hotel room, while Nicole after taking a bite of her ice cream hugged her parents.
"Is that ice cream good, sweetie?" Leon asked out of curiosity.
"Hmm-hmm." Nicole answered after taking another bite of her ice cream.
"Nicole, sweetheart. There is something that me and your father want to talk to you about." Sharon said while giving Nicole a napkin.
"Ok, Mommy." Nicole said after throwing her bowl and napkin in the trash can.
"Well, your mother and I are happily in love again." Leon said without hesitation.
"Huh? I'm confused. I thought mommies and daddies always loved each other." Nicole said with a puzzled look.
"Nicole, what your father is trying to say is that sometimes mommies and daddies make mistakes that causes them to separate for a long time before they can make up and fall in love with each other again. That's how it was with me and your daddy for a very long time until this trip happened when you guys saw me here and I realized a huge wake up call. This being that your daddy changed a lot to in order to help raise you and I shouldn't be a bad mother for leaving you for all of these years with Nana, Papa and Aunt Karen. So, this is when I begin to become the mom I should have been to you, Nicole. I'm sorry for being a bad mother all of this time." Sharon said right before tears started to drip down her face.
"Mommy?!" Nicole said before embracing her mother.
Leon looked at the sight before him and decided to wipe the tears off Sharon's face. Once the embrace was over, Leon brought him and Sharon some ice cream before they along with Nicole headed back to the hotel room. Upon entering the hotel room, Nicole decided to head into the bathroom so she can change into her nightwear. While that was going on, Leon took a bite of his ice cream and gave Sharon a look which caught her off guard.
"Are you feeling better, Sharon?" Leon asked out of concern.
"Oh, you're talking about back there at the lobby. Yeah, a little bit, Leon. I didn't mean to go overboard in explaining everything and turning into an emotional maternal love confession for her daughter." Sharon said after taking a bite of her ice cream.
"Ok, that's good because you gave me and Nicole a bit of worry there. But I'm glad you're better now, Sharon." Leon said in a calm manner.
"Yeah, me too, Leon. Oh, we forgot to tell her about us visiting my parents' tomorrow after we land in the States." Sharon said in a natural tone.
"Wait, we get to visit Nana and Papa tomorrow?" Nicole stated as she darted into the bed with nightwear on.
"Yes, Nicole. So, I start getting some rest since we must leave early to start our long day of travel and save your energy for Nana and Papa's. Wouldn't you agree, Sharon?" Leon said while looking at Sharon.
"That's right. Rather I think we all should get some sleep." Sharon said in response.
Leon nodded his head in compliance to Sharon's response and the three of them went to sleep just a couple of minutes later.
