A couple of hours later, Leon decided to take a little nap in the bedroom while Sharon hung around with Nicole in her bedroom showing her the collection of stuffed animals she has. After showing the collection is when Sharon helped Nicole unpack her suitcase. While in the middle of unpacking, Sharon notices the precarious look on Nicole's face.
"What is it, sweetheart?" Sharon asked out of curiosity
"I don't know, Mommy. I never seen Daddy take multiple naps in a day." Nicole said in a puzzled look
"Yeah, but your dad is completely worn out from the traveling we did and unpacking he did for me. Hopefully this nap will help him get going." Sharon said with a smile
"Oh okay." Nicole said right before Sharon left her bedroom
Then Sharon went into the master bedroom where Leon was taking his nap and decided to unpack both of their suitcases. Once she got done unpacking Leon's suitcase and started to do hers, Sharon notices that Leon was about to wake up from the nap.
"Don't know why I keep taking naps today. Already unpacking, Sharon?" Leon said upon waking up.
"Yes, Leon. I took the liberty of unpacking your suitcase before doing mine. It's my way of saying we're even after you unpacked all of my stuff for me earlier." Sharon said with a blissful smile
"Thank you, Sharon. So, what's our daughter doing?" Leon asked
"Well, she showed me her collection of stuffed animals before helping her unpack her suitcase and she got puzzled on why you were taking two naps today. But I told her that you were worn out from today's events, and she understood." Sharon said honestly
"At least her things are unpacked. Still, I don't quite understand why I took more than one nap today, Sharon." Leon said as he put his hand on his forehead.
"I don't quite get what you're saying. Talk to me, Leon." Sharon said in an assuring manner
"It feels like there's something wrong with my body but it's not telling me." Leon said with a sigh
"I wonder if a doctor can help out. This has me worried about you, Leon. Let me see if I can find a local doctor to set up an appointment with you." Sharon said out of concern before pulling out her cell phone.
Then Sharon found the number to the local doctor and called the office to explain what Leon told her before asking them for booking an appointment. The doctor then told Sharon that Leon is to show up the following day for an appointment and do some tests to determine the condition of Leon's problems. Once she got off the phone with the doctor is when Sharon wrapped up her unpacking.
"So, what did the doctor have to say, Sharon?" Leon asked with a calm tone
"He wants you for an appointment tomorrow and they're going to do a couple of tests on you, Leon." Sharon answered in a gloomy manner
"What's wrong, Sharon? It's only going to be testing to see if something was wrong with me." Leon said in a concerned tone
"I know Leon, it's that I shouldn't have too much. I mean what happens if it comes out the opposite." Sharon answered
"Sharon, it's ok. We got to think of the good not the bad. Besides what you said might've been useful." Leon said in an encouraging way
"Yeah, you're right. I should focus more on the positive and not get stressed out easily." Sharon said as she sat on the bed next to Leon
A couple of minutes later, Leon and Sharon notice that Nicole was about to enter their bedroom holding her stomach in a circle. Realizing that it was steadfast approaching to dinnertime, Leon suggested a simple dinner due to the big lunch back at the Carter house earlier. Sharon agreed and headed down to the kitchen to get started with dinner while Nicole followed her into the kitchen.
"Mommy, how come Daddy didn't come out to join us?" Nicole asked out of curiosity
"Well sweetheart, I don't know if something is wrong with your father because he mentioned that he wasn't feeling well when he woke up a while ago. So, I'm going to accompany your dad to a doctor's appointment tomorrow to figure everything out." Sharon answered with a calm voice
"Okay, but what will happen to me during that time." Nicole said in a calm tone
"I will talk that over with your father and we'll figure it out before leaving for his appointment." Sharon said while patting Nicole's head
A couple of minutes later Sharon started to cook up dinner while Nicole watched on from the dining room table. Then Nicole heard footsteps coming downstairs and saw that her dad was about to approach in her and Sharon's direction. This prompted for Nicole to pull up a seat for Leon in the dining room table.
"You are feeling better, Leon." Sharon said as she was halfway done with her cooking.
"A little." Leon answered honestly
Once Leon took a seat at the dining room table, he noticed that Nicole pulled her seat next to his and had a concerned look on her face.
"Daddy are you okay. Mommy mentioned that…." Nicole said out of concern.
"I'm going to be alright, sweetie. The doctor is going to find out why Daddy has been acting tired out of the blue and such okay." Leon said with a calm tone.
"Okay, Daddy. But who's going to watch me while you and Mommy are out?" Nicole asked
"Your cousin, Luna. Speaking of which…I got to make the plans." Leon said as he went to the other room.
"That's like your dad, sweetheart. Always thinking of a plan and suddenly making them right at the last minute." Sharon said with a sigh once she brought dinner to the dining room table.
"What do you mean, Mommy?" Nicole asked out of curiosity.
"Oh, I was remembering back to the early days when I first started dating your father. He was a real charmer back then too just like he is now…." Sharon answered with a sigh.
"Mommy, how did you and Daddy meet?" Nicole said out of curiosity.
"Oh, Nicole sweetheart. Hmm…my recollection is hard to say on the events, but your father's memory of the events would have to match my own and he still remembers it. I would ask him when we're both in the room and not busy doing something. I'm sorry if that was discouraging but I really wanted to tell you but…" Sharon said in response.
"It's okay, Mommy. I understand." Nicole said in response.
"Alrighty, the plans are made. Luna should be here in the morning. She might bring a friend with her that she wants you to meet just as a heads up. Because I know how you can get sometimes with strangers, sweetie." Leon said once he entered the dining room.
"Oh okay, Daddy." Nicole said with a smile as she finished her dinner and proceeded to head upstairs to take a bath.
Once Nicole was upstairs, Sharon had a curious look directly at Leon who was beginning to eat dinner. Then upon noticing that Sharon was looking at him, Leon put down his utensils and looked at her.
"Which friend was your niece thinking of bringing over with her, Leon?" Sharon asked
"Her friend Sam. I've met her a couple of times, notably during the Royal Woods team race the mayor hosted about a week before Nicole came back into my life. She seems to be a good person and Luna speaks highly of her from time to time." Leon said in response.
"That would almost make it sound like…." Sharon said in response.
"Yes, I know Sharon and Luna told me that was true. However, it has to be a secret since my sister or brother-in-law don't know about this." Leon said in a serious tone.
"I understand, Leon. I've known people who led lives similar to this to understand their cause." Sharon said in response.
"Thank you, honey. I knew you would understand." Leon said with a smile on his face.
