A couple of months had passed by since that day when Leon and Sharon decided who their best man and maid of honor was going to be at their wedding. Now it was a couple of days before the wedding. Leon, Sharon, Nicole, and their family members who had parts in the wedding were at the venue which was a fabulous church to do rehearsals for the big day. Leon was standing in the lobby waiting for his friends to show up since one of them had a huge part in the ceremony.
Meanwhile, at the congregation area Mrs. Carter noticed how concerned Sharon was getting and walked up to her daughter. Karen who had been conversing with Rita took notice of this and went by Sharon as well.
"It's been fifteen minutes. They should have been here by now." Sharon said in a concerned tone.
"Don't worry, sweetie. They might have been stuck in traffic or something." Mrs. Carter said with a bit of optimism.
"Yeah, Sis. Besides Leon provided good directions to the church so it shouldn't be that hard to find. Oh, dear look at dad." Karen said right before pointing out something to Sharon and Mrs. Carter about Mr. Carter pulling a joke inside the church.
Then a minute later, Leon noticed a group of cars and had a sigh of relief on his face upon seeing the people getting out of the vehicles. That's when Leon noticed that some of his friends from the wrestling days had finally shown up: Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Triple H, Sean Waltman, Scott Hall, and the Undertaker. After greeting most of his friends, Leon pulls Shawn aside for a moment.
"That was close, Shawn. You guys are aware of that. So, who else other than you guys came down?" Leon said in a calm tone.
"It really was believing me, Leon. Anyway, other than us, well we saw Bret, JR, Bruce not Bret's brother but the one that was brother love, and our wives. I just got say this thank goodness Hayes didn't show." Shawn said in response.
"Yeah I really didn't my wedding to end up like Hunter's so that's why I chose not to invite him in the first place because of that incident." Leon said in response.
"The reason that we were a little late was that the tuxedo shop you had us go to take an eternity to find the right tuxes for Kev and Taker because of their stature. Not only that but traffic was congested between the hotel and here to where the detour took almost twice as long." Shawn said as he was looking at the congregation area.
"Yikes if the shop was going to pull a stunt like that I would have came by to take care of it because I told them their measurements weeks ago." Leon said with a guilt look on his face.
"It's fine, Leon. Oh, it looks like the pastor is ready for us to enter the area to start rehearsals." Shawn said upon noticing the pastor at the altar.
Then Leon and Shawn entered the congregation area, so they took their prospective places to begin wedding rehearsals. The rehearsals lasted an hour and a half. Once everyone was at the church parking lot, they had all headed back to the prospective hotel that was designated for them, but Nicole chose to ride with Karen which Leon and Sharon didn't mind. Then Leon and Sharon got into the car starting to head back to a hotel.
"Leon, you okay?" Sharon asked out of concern.
"I found out the reason why Shawn and my friends were late at the rehearsal. You remember when I made the phone call to order all the groomsmen tuxedos with measurements?" Leon said in response.
"Yes, I do. Wait don't tell me the order got messed up by the time they picked up the tuxedos." Sharon said upon realizing what happened.
"Yep, on Kevin and Taker's tuxes. I don't know after our wedding if I'll ever trust that shop again." Leon said with a sigh.
"Okay, Leon. Take a deep breath. Feeling better?" Sharon said with a natural tone.
"A bit better. Thank you for helping me there." Leon said before kissing Sharon.
"No problem. You know something, I love you." Sharon said with a smile on her face.
"I love you even more." Leon said in response.
Then Leon and Sharon made it to the hotel, once they reached their hotel room Leon decided to stand out on the balcony while Sharon was getting ready for bed. "I can see not only the church from here but the country club where our reception is going to be at. Only if you were alive to see this moment, Dad, you would have been proud of me." Leon thought to himself before a tear dripped down his face. Sharon who had finished getting ready noticed this and walked out into the balcony.
"Leon, what's the matter? You're teary eyed." Sharon said out of concern.
"Sorry about that, Sharon. I had been thinking about my dad if he was still around and it got me tearing up." Leon answered as he wiped the tears off his face.
"I know that this is one of these moments where you would miss your dad. Remember Leon a part of him lives in your heart. I just don't want you to feel sad on our happiest moment that we would want to remember forever." Sharon said while patting Leon's arm.
"You're right, my love. I don't know what I would do without you." Leon said with a calm tone.
"Who knows, my darling?" Sharon said with a smile on her face.
Leon smiled upon hearing that and proceeded to get ready for bed. While Leon was in the bathroom getting changed, Sharon notices that Karen dropped Nicole off at the hotel room. Then Leon came out of the restroom after getting changed to see that Nicole was in front of him for a hug.
Then Nicole went to the bathroom to get changed for bed. Leon then proceeded to sit on the bed next to Sharon and had a curious look on his face.
"So did Karen mention anything when she dropped off Nicole?" Leon asked out of curiosity.
"Not really…I was going to mention to you that on our wedding day I'm taking Nicole with me while I get ready." Sharon said with a little hesitation.
"I'm fine with that because if I recall its tradition for the flower girl to get ready with the bride and bridesmaids anyways. Besides this makes things easier for me to ensure that the groomsmen don't show up late like they did at the rehearsal earlier." Leon said in response.
